In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Au commencement était la Parole, et la Parole était avec Dieu, et la Parole était Dieu. (Ⅱ)

The same was in the beginning with God.
- Elle était au commencement avec Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- Hoc erat in principio apud Deum./ (Ⅳ)
1. 3  
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- Toutes choses ont été faites par elle, et rien de ce qui a été fait n'a été fait sans elle. (Ⅱ)
- πάντα δι’ αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ χωρὶς αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο οὐδὲ ἕν. ὃ γέγονεν (Ⅲ)
- Omnia per ipsum facta sunt :/ et sine ipso factum est nihil, quod factum est./ (Ⅳ)

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
- En elle était la vie, et la vie était la lumière des hommes. (Ⅱ)
- ἐν αὐτῷ ζωὴ ἦν, καὶ ἡ ζωὴ ἦν τὸ φῶς τῶν ἀνθρώπων· (Ⅲ)
- In ipso vita erat,/ et vita erat lux hominum :/ (Ⅳ)

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- La lumière luit dans les ténèbres, et les ténèbres ne l'ont point reçue. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τὸ φῶς ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ φαίνει, καὶ ἡ σκοτία αὐτὸ οὐ κατέλαβεν. (Ⅲ)
- et lux in tenebris lucet,/ et tenebræ eam non comprehenderunt./ (Ⅳ)

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
- Il y eut un homme envoyé de Dieu: son nom était Jean. (Ⅱ)
- Ἐγένετο ἄνθρωπος ἀπεσταλμένος παρὰ θεοῦ, ὄνομα αὐτῷ Ἰωάννης· (Ⅲ)
- Fuit homo/ missus a Deo,/ cui nomen erat Joannes./ (Ⅳ)

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
- Il vint pour servir de témoin, pour rendre témoignage à la lumière, afin que tous crussent par lui. (Ⅱ)
- οὗτος ἦλθεν εἰς μαρτυρίαν, ἵνα μαρτυρήσῃ περὶ τοῦ φωτός, ἵνα πάντες πιστεύσωσιν δι’ αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Hic venit in testimonium/ ut testimonium perhiberet de lumine,/ ut omnes crederent per illum./ (Ⅳ)
1. 8  
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
- Il n'était pas la lumière, mais il parut pour rendre témoignage à la lumière. (Ⅱ)
- οὐκ ἦν ἐκεῖνος τὸ φῶς, ἀλλ’ ἵνα μαρτυρήσῃ περὶ τοῦ φωτός. (Ⅲ)
- Non erat ille lux,/ sed ut testimonium perhiberet de lumine./ (Ⅳ)
1. 9  
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
- Cette lumière était la véritable lumière, qui, en venant dans le monde, éclaire tout homme. (Ⅱ)
- ἦν τὸ φῶς τὸ ἀληθινὸν ὃ φωτίζει πάντα ἄνθρωπον ἐρχόμενον εἰς τὸν κόσμον. (Ⅲ)
- Erat lux vera,/ quæ illuminat omnem hominem/ venientem in hunc mundum./ (Ⅳ)
1. 10  
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
- Elle était dans le monde, et le monde a été fait par elle, et le monde ne l'a point connue. (Ⅱ)
- Ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ ἦν, καὶ ὁ κόσμος δι’ αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ ὁ κόσμος αὐτὸν οὐκ ἔγνω. (Ⅲ)
- In mundo erat,/ et mundus per ipsum factus est,/ et mundus eum non cognovit./ (Ⅳ)
1. 11  
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
- Elle est venue chez les siens, et les siens ne l'ont point reçue. (Ⅱ)
- εἰς τὰ ἴδια ἦλθεν, καὶ οἱ ἴδιοι αὐτὸν οὐ παρέλαβον. (Ⅲ)
- In propria venit,/ et sui eum non receperunt./ (Ⅳ)
1. 12  
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
- Mais à tous ceux qui l'ont reçue, à ceux qui croient en son nom, elle a donné le pouvoir de devenir enfants de Dieu, lesquels sont nés, (Ⅱ)
- ὅσοι δὲ ἔλαβον αὐτόν, ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς ἐξουσίαν τέκνα θεοῦ γενέσθαι, τοῖς πιστεύουσιν εἰς τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ, (Ⅲ)
- Quotquot autem receperunt eum,/ dedit eis potestatem filios Dei fieri,/ his qui credunt in nomine ejus :/ (Ⅳ)
1. 13  
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
- non du sang, ni de la volonté de la chair, ni de la volonté de l'homme, mais de Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- οἳ οὐκ ἐξ αἱμάτων οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος σαρκὸς οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος ἀνδρὸς ἀλλ’ ἐκ θεοῦ ἐγεννήθησαν. (Ⅲ)
- qui non ex sanguinibus,/ neque ex voluntate carnis,/ neque ex voluntate viri,/ sed ex Deo nati sunt./ (Ⅳ)
1. 14  
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
- Et la parole a été faite chair, et elle a habité parmi nous, pleine de grâce et de vérité; et nous avons contemplé sa gloire, une gloire comme la gloire du Fils unique venu du Père. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ὁ λόγος σὰρξ ἐγένετο καὶ ἐσκήνωσεν ἐν ἡμῖν, καὶ ἐθεασάμεθα τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, δόξαν ὡς μονογενοῦς παρὰ πατρός, πλήρης χάριτος καὶ ἀληθείας· (Ⅲ)
- Et Verbum caro factum est,/ et habitavit in nobis :/ et vidimus gloriam ejus,/ gloriam quasi unigeniti a Patre/ plenum gratiæ et veritatis./ (Ⅳ)
1. 15  
John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
- Jean lui a rendu témoignage, et s'est écrié: C'est celui dont j'ai dit: Celui qui vient après moi m'a précédé, car il était avant moi. (Ⅱ)

- Joannes testimonium perhibet de ipso,/ et clamat dicens :/ Hic erat quem dixi :/ Qui post me venturus est,/ ante me factus est :/ quia prior me erat./ (Ⅳ)
1. 16  
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
- Et nous avons tous reçu de sa plénitude, et grâce pour grâce; (Ⅱ)
- ⸀ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ πληρώματος αὐτοῦ ἡμεῖς πάντες ἐλάβομεν, καὶ χάριν ἀντὶ χάριτος· (Ⅲ)
- Et de plenitudine ejus/ nos omnes accepimus, et gratiam pro gratia :/ (Ⅳ)
1. 17  
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
- car la loi a été donnée par Moïse, la grâce et la vérité sont venues par Jésus Christ. (Ⅱ)
- ὅτι ὁ νόμος διὰ Μωϋσέως ἐδόθη, ἡ χάρις καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐγένετο. (Ⅲ)
- quia lex per Moysen data est,/ gratia et veritas per Jesum Christum facta est./ (Ⅳ)
1. 18  
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
- Personne n'a jamais vu Dieu; le Fils unique, qui est dans le sein du Père, est celui qui l'a fait connaître. (Ⅱ)

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
- Voici le témoignage de Jean, lorsque les Juifs envoyèrent de Jérusalem des sacrificateurs et des Lévites, pour lui demander: Toi, qui es-tu? (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ μαρτυρία τοῦ Ἰωάννου ὅτε ⸀ἀπέστειλαν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἐξ Ἱεροσολύμων ἱερεῖς καὶ Λευίτας ἵνα ἐρωτήσωσιν αὐτόν· Σὺ τίς εἶ; (Ⅲ)
- Et hoc est testimonium Joannis, quando miserunt Judæi ab Jerosolymis sacerdotes et Levitas ad eum ut interrogarent eum : Tu quis es ? (Ⅳ)
1. 20  
And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
- Il déclara, et ne le nia point, il déclara qu'il n'était pas le Christ. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὡμολόγησεν καὶ οὐκ ἠρνήσατο, καὶ ὡμολόγησεν ὅτι ⸂Ἐγὼ οὐκ εἰμὶ⸃ ὁ χριστός. (Ⅲ)
- Et confessus est, et non negavit, et confessus est : Quia non sum ego Christus. (Ⅳ)
1. 21  
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
- Et ils lui demandèrent: Quoi donc? es-tu Élie? Et il dit: Je ne le suis point. Es-tu le prophète? Et il répondit: Non. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτόν· Τί οὖν; ⸂σὺ Ἠλίας εἶ⸃; καὶ λέγει· Οὐκ εἰμί. Ὁ προφήτης εἶ σύ; καὶ ἀπεκρίθη· Οὔ. (Ⅲ)
- Et interrogaverunt eum : Quid ergo ? Elias es tu ? Et dixit : Non sum. Propheta es tu ? Et respondit : Non. (Ⅳ)
1. 22  
Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
- Ils lui dirent alors: Qui es-tu? afin que nous donnions une réponse à ceux qui nous ont envoyés. Que dis-tu de toi-même? (Ⅱ)
- εἶπαν οὖν αὐτῷ· Τίς εἶ; ἵνα ἀπόκρισιν δῶμεν τοῖς πέμψασιν ἡμᾶς· τί λέγεις περὶ σεαυτοῦ; (Ⅲ)
- Dixerunt ergo ei : Quis es ut responsum demus his qui miserunt nos ? quid dicis de teipso ? (Ⅳ)
1. 23  
He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
- Moi, dit-il, je suis la voix de celui qui crie dans le désert: Aplanissez le chemin du Seigneur, comme a dit Ésaïe, le prophète. (Ⅱ)
- ἔφη· Ἐγὼ φωνὴ βοῶντος ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ· Εὐθύνατε τὴν ὁδὸν κυρίου, καθὼς εἶπεν Ἠσαΐας ὁ προφήτης. (Ⅲ)
- Ait : Ego vox clamantis in deserto : Dirigite viam Domini, sicut dixit Isaias propheta. (Ⅳ)
1. 24  
And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
- Ceux qui avaient été envoyés étaient des pharisiens. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀Καὶ ἀπεσταλμένοι ἦσαν ἐκ τῶν Φαρισαίων. (Ⅲ)
- Et qui missi fuerant, erant ex pharisæis. (Ⅳ)
1. 25  
And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
- Ils lui firent encore cette question: Pourquoi donc baptises-tu, si tu n'es pas le Christ, ni Élie, ni le prophète? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Τί οὖν βαπτίζεις εἰ σὺ οὐκ εἶ ὁ χριστὸς ⸂οὐδὲ Ἠλίας οὐδὲ⸃ ὁ προφήτης; (Ⅲ)
- Et interrogaverunt eum, et dixerunt ei : Quid ergo baptizas, si tu non es Christus, neque Elias, neque propheta ? (Ⅳ)
1. 26  
John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
- Jean leur répondit: Moi, je baptise d'eau, mais au milieu de vous il y a quelqu'un que vous ne connaissez pas, qui vient après moi; (Ⅱ)
- ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰωάννης λέγων· Ἐγὼ βαπτίζω ἐν ὕδατι· ⸀μέσος ὑμῶν ⸀ἕστηκεν ὃν ὑμεῖς οὐκ οἴδατε, (Ⅲ)
- Respondit eis Joannes, dicens : Ego baptizo in aqua : medius autem vestrum stetit, quem vos nescitis. (Ⅳ)
1. 27  
He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
- je ne suis pas digne de délier la courroie de ses souliers. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀ὁ ὀπίσω μου ⸀ἐρχόμενος, οὗ ⸂οὐκ εἰμὶ⸃ ἄξιος ἵνα λύσω αὐτοῦ τὸν ἱμάντα τοῦ ὑποδήματος. (Ⅲ)
- Ipse est qui post me venturus est, qui ante me factus est : cujus ego non sum dignus ut solvam ejus corrigiam calceamenti. (Ⅳ)

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
- Le lendemain, il vit Jésus venant à lui, et il dit: Voici l'Agneau de Dieu, qui ôte le péché du monde. (Ⅱ)
- Τῇ ἐπαύριον βλέπει τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἐρχόμενον πρὸς αὐτόν, καὶ λέγει· Ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ ὁ αἴρων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου. (Ⅲ)
- Altera die vidit Joannes Jesum venientem ad se, et ait : Ecce agnus Dei, ecce qui tollit peccatum mundi. (Ⅳ)
1. 30  
This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
- C'est celui dont j'ai dit: Après moi vient un homme qui m'a précédé, car il était avant moi. (Ⅱ)
- οὗτός ἐστιν ⸀ὑπὲρ οὗ ἐγὼ εἶπον· Ὀπίσω μου ἔρχεται ἀνὴρ ὃς ἔμπροσθέν μου γέγονεν, ὅτι πρῶτός μου ἦν· (Ⅲ)
- Hic est de quo dixi : Post me venit vir qui ante me factus est : quia prior me erat : (Ⅳ)
1. 31  
And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
- Je ne le connaissais pas, mais c'est afin qu'il fût manifesté à Israël que je suis venu baptiser d'eau. (Ⅱ)
- κἀγὼ οὐκ ᾔδειν αὐτόν, ἀλλ’ ἵνα φανερωθῇ τῷ Ἰσραὴλ διὰ τοῦτο ἦλθον ἐγὼ ⸀ἐν ὕδατι βαπτίζων. (Ⅲ)
- et ego nesciebam eum, sed ut manifestetur in Israël, propterea veni ego in aqua baptizans. (Ⅳ)
1. 32  
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
- Jean rendit ce témoignage: J'ai vu l'Esprit descendre du ciel comme une colombe et s'arrêter sur lui. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐμαρτύρησεν Ἰωάννης λέγων ὅτι Τεθέαμαι τὸ πνεῦμα καταβαῖνον ⸀ὡς περιστερὰν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐπ’ αὐτόν· (Ⅲ)
- Et testimonium perhibuit Joannes, dicens : Quia vidi Spiritum descendentem quasi columbam de cælo, et mansit super eum. (Ⅳ)
1. 33  
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
- Je ne le connaissais pas, mais celui qui m'a envoyé baptiser d'eau, celui-là m'a dit: Celui sur qui tu verras l'Esprit descendre et s'arrêter, c'est celui qui baptise du Saint Esprit. (Ⅱ)
- κἀγὼ οὐκ ᾔδειν αὐτόν, ἀλλ’ ὁ πέμψας με βαπτίζειν ἐν ὕδατι ἐκεῖνός μοι εἶπεν· Ἐφ’ ὃν ἂν ἴδῃς τὸ πνεῦμα καταβαῖνον καὶ μένον ἐπ’ αὐτόν, οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ βαπτίζων ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ· (Ⅲ)
- Et ego nesciebam eum : sed qui misit me baptizare in aqua, ille mihi dixit : Super quem videris Spiritum descendentem, et manentem super eum, hic est qui baptizat in Spiritu Sancto. (Ⅳ)
1. 34  
And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
- Et j'ai vu, et j'ai rendu témoignage qu'il est le Fils de Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- κἀγὼ ἑώρακα, καὶ μεμαρτύρηκα ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ ⸀ἐκλεκτὸς τοῦ θεοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Et ego vidi : et testimonium perhibui quia hic est Filius Dei.\ (Ⅳ)
1. 35  
Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
- Le lendemain, Jean était encore là, avec deux de ses disciples; (Ⅱ)
- Τῇ ἐπαύριον πάλιν εἱστήκει ⸀ὁ Ἰωάννης καὶ ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ δύο, (Ⅲ)
- Altera die iterum stabat Joannes, et ex discipulis ejus duo. (Ⅳ)

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
- et, ayant regardé Jésus qui passait, il dit: Voilà l'Agneau de Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐμβλέψας τῷ Ἰησοῦ περιπατοῦντι λέγει· Ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Et respiciens Jesum ambulantem, dicit : Ecce agnus Dei. (Ⅳ)
1. 37  
And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
- Les deux disciples l'entendirent prononcer ces paroles, et ils suivirent Jésus. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἤκουσαν ⸂οἱ δύο μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ⸃ λαλοῦντος καὶ ἠκολούθησαν τῷ Ἰησοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Et audierunt eum duo discipuli loquentem, et secuti sunt Jesum. (Ⅳ)
1. 38  
Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
- Jésus se retourna, et voyant qu'ils le suivaient, il leur dit: Que cherchez-vous? Ils lui répondirent: Rabbi (ce qui signifie Maître), où demeures-tu? (Ⅱ)
- στραφεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ θεασάμενος αὐτοὺς ἀκολουθοῦντας λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί ζητεῖτε; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Ῥαββί (ὃ λέγεται ⸀μεθερμηνευόμενον Διδάσκαλε), ποῦ μένεις; (Ⅲ)
- Conversus autem Jesus, et videns eos sequentes se, dicit eis : Quid quæritis ? Qui dixerunt ei : Rabbi (quod dicitur interpretatum Magister), ubi habitas ? (Ⅳ)
1. 39  
He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
- Venez, leur dit-il, et voyez. Ils allèrent, et ils virent où il demeurait; et ils restèrent auprès de lui ce jour-là. C'était environ la dixième heure. (Ⅱ)
- λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἔρχεσθε καὶ ⸂ὄψεσθε. ἦλθαν οὖν⸃ καὶ εἶδαν ποῦ μένει, καὶ παρ’ αὐτῷ ἔμειναν τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην· ὥρα ἦν ὡς δεκάτη. (Ⅲ)
- Dicit eis : Venite et videte. Venerunt, et viderunt ubi maneret, et apud eum manserunt die illo : hora autem erat quasi decima. (Ⅳ)

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
- André, frère de Simon Pierre, était l'un des deux qui avaient entendu les paroles de Jean, et qui avaient suivi Jésus. (Ⅱ)
- ἦν Ἀνδρέας ὁ ἀδελφὸς Σίμωνος Πέτρου εἷς ἐκ τῶν δύο τῶν ἀκουσάντων παρὰ Ἰωάννου καὶ ἀκολουθησάντων αὐτῷ· (Ⅲ)
- Erat autem Andreas, frater Simonis Petri, unus ex duobus qui audierant a Joanne, et secuti fuerant eum. (Ⅳ)
1. 41  
He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
- Ce fut lui qui rencontra le premier son frère Simon, et il lui dit: Nous avons trouvé le Messie (ce qui signifie Christ). (Ⅱ)

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
- Et il le conduisit vers Jésus. Jésus, l'ayant regardé, dit: Tu es Simon, fils de Jonas; tu seras appelé Céphas (ce qui signifie Pierre). (Ⅱ)

- Et adduxit eum ad Jesum. Intuitus autem eum Jesus, dixit : Tu es Simon, filius Jona ; tu vocaberis Cephas, quod interpretatur Petrus. (Ⅳ)

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

- In crastinum voluit exire in Galilæam, et invenit Philippum. Et dicit ei Jesus : Sequere me. (Ⅳ)

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
- Philippe rencontra Nathanaël, et lui dit: Nous avons trouvé celui de qui Moïse a écrit dans la loi et dont les prophètes ont parlé, Jésus de Nazareth, fils de Joseph. (Ⅱ)
- εὑρίσκει Φίλιππος τὸν Ναθαναὴλ καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ὃν ἔγραψεν Μωϋσῆς ἐν τῷ νόμῳ καὶ οἱ προφῆται εὑρήκαμεν, ⸀Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν τοῦ Ἰωσὴφ τὸν ἀπὸ Ναζαρέτ. (Ⅲ)
- Invenit Philippus Nathanaël, et dicit ei : Quem scripsit Moyses in lege, et prophetæ, invenimus Jesum filium Joseph a Nazareth. (Ⅳ)

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
- Nathanaël lui dit: Peut-il venir de Nazareth quelque chose de bon? Philippe lui répondit: Viens, et vois. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ· Ἐκ Ναζαρὲτ δύναταί τι ἀγαθὸν εἶναι; λέγει αὐτῷ ⸀ὁ Φίλιππος· Ἔρχου καὶ ἴδε. (Ⅲ)
- Et dixit ei Nathanaël : A Nazareth potest aliquid boni esse ? Dicit ei Philippus : Veni et vide. (Ⅳ)
1. 47  
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
- Jésus, voyant venir à lui Nathanaël, dit de lui: Voici vraiment un Israélite, dans lequel il n'y a point de fraude. (Ⅱ)
- εἶδεν ⸀ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὸν Ναθαναὴλ ἐρχόμενον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ λέγει περὶ αὐτοῦ· Ἴδε ἀληθῶς Ἰσραηλίτης ἐν ᾧ δόλος οὐκ ἔστιν. (Ⅲ)
- Vidit Jesus Nathanaël venientem ad se, et dicit de eo : Ecce vere Israëlita, in quo dolus non est. (Ⅳ)
1. 48  
Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
- D'où me connais-tu? lui dit Nathanaël. Jésus lui répondit: Avant que Philippe t'appelât, quand tu étais sous le figuier, je t'ai vu. (Ⅱ)
- λέγει αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ· Πόθεν με γινώσκεις; ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Πρὸ τοῦ σε Φίλιππον φωνῆσαι ὄντα ὑπὸ τὴν συκῆν εἶδόν σε. (Ⅲ)
- Dicit ei Nathanaël : Unde me nosti ? Respondit Jesus, et dixit ei : Priusquam te Philippus vocavit, cum esses sub ficu, vidi te. (Ⅳ)
1. 49  
Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
- Nathanaël répondit et lui dit: Rabbi, tu es le Fils de Dieu, tu es le roi d'Israël. (Ⅱ)
- ἀπεκρίθη ⸂αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ⸃· Ῥαββί, σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ, σὺ ⸂βασιλεὺς εἶ⸃ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ. (Ⅲ)
- Respondit ei Nathanaël, et ait : Rabbi, tu es Filius Dei, tu es rex Israël. (Ⅳ)
1. 50  
Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
- Jésus lui répondit: Parce que je t'ai dit que je t'ai vu sous le figuier, tu crois; tu verras de plus grandes choses que celles-ci. (Ⅱ)
- ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ὅτι εἶπόν σοι ⸀ὅτι εἶδόν σε ὑποκάτω τῆς συκῆς πιστεύεις; μείζω τούτων ⸀ὄψῃ. (Ⅲ)
- Respondit Jesus, et dixit ei : Quia dixi tibi : Vidi te sub ficu, credis ; majus his videbis. (Ⅳ)
