- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ) - The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ) - In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ) - Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ) - Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ الرَّحْمَٰنُ
- Alrrahmanu (Ⅰ) - The Beneficent Allah, (Ⅱ) - The Beneficent (Ⅲ) - The All-merciful (Ⅳ) - (Allah) Most Gracious! (Ⅵ)

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ
- AAallama alqurana (Ⅰ) - Taught (Has made known) the Quran. (Ⅱ) - Hath made known the Qur'an. (Ⅲ) - has taught the Koran. (Ⅳ) - It is He Who has taught the Qur´an. (Ⅵ)

خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ
- Khalaqa alinsana (Ⅰ) - He created man, (Ⅱ) - He hath created man. (Ⅲ) - He created man (Ⅳ) - He has created man: (Ⅵ)

55.

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ
- AAallamahu albayana (Ⅰ) - Taught him speech (language, modes of expression and communication). (Ⅱ) - He hath taught him utterance. (Ⅲ) - and He has taught him the Explanation. (Ⅳ) - He has taught him speech (and intelligence). (Ⅵ)

55.

الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
- Alshshamsu waalqamaru bihusbanin (Ⅰ) - The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) reckoned (in space and time). (Ⅱ) - The sun and the moon are made punctual. (Ⅲ) - The sun and the moon to a reckoning, (Ⅳ) - The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; (Ⅵ)

55.

وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
- Waalnnajmu waalshshajaru yasjudani (Ⅰ) - And the stars (or herds of animals) and the trees do adore (Him). (Ⅱ) - The stars and the trees adore. (Ⅲ) - and the stars and the trees bow themselves; (Ⅳ) - And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. (Ⅵ)

وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ
- Waalssamaa rafaAAaha wawadaAAa almeezana (Ⅰ) - And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the Balance (or set the measure), (Ⅱ) - And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, (Ⅲ) - and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. (Ⅳ) - And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), (Ⅵ)

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ
- Alla tatghaw fee almeezani (Ⅰ) - That you may not exceed the measure (or transgress beyond limits). (Ⅱ) - That ye exceed not the measure, (Ⅲ) - (Transgress not in the Balance, (Ⅳ) - In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. (Ⅵ)

وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ
- Waaqeemoo alwazna bialqisti wala tukhsiroo almeezana (Ⅰ) - But keep the measure strictly (with justice or equity) nor fall short of it (or be deficient in measuring). (Ⅱ) - But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. (Ⅲ) - and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) (Ⅳ) - So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. (Ⅵ)

وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
- Waalarda wadaAAaha lilanami (Ⅰ) - And the earth, has He set out for (His) creatures; (Ⅱ) - And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, (Ⅲ) - And earth -- He set it down for all beings, (Ⅳ) - It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: (Ⅵ)

فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ
- Feeha fakihatun waalnnakhlu thatu alakmami (Ⅰ) - Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, (Ⅱ) - Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, (Ⅲ) - therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, (Ⅳ) - Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); (Ⅵ)

وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ
- Waalhabbu thoo alAAasfi waalrrayhani (Ⅰ) - And the grain with its husk and fragrant herbs. (Ⅱ) - Husked grain and scented herb. (Ⅲ) - and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. (Ⅳ) - Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties (favours, gifts)) of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ
- Khalaqa alinsana min salsalin kaalfakhkhari (Ⅰ) - He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels (as containers), (Ⅱ) - He created man of clay like the potter's, (Ⅲ) - He created man of a clay like the potter´s, (Ⅳ) - He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, (Ⅵ)

وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
- Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijin min narin (Ⅰ) - And He created the jinn of a flame of (or of smokeless) fire. (Ⅱ) - And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. (Ⅲ) - and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. (Ⅳ) - And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
- Rabbu almashriqayni warabbu almaghribayni (Ⅰ) - He is the Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests. (Ⅱ) - Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! (Ⅲ) - Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, (Ⅳ) - (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
- Maraja albahrayni yaltaqiyani (Ⅰ) - He has made the two seas (streams or bodies of water, salt and sweet) to flow freely so that they meet together: (Ⅱ) - He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. (Ⅲ) - He let forth the two seas that meet together, (Ⅳ) - He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: (Ⅵ)

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
- Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyani (Ⅰ) - Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress. (Ⅱ) - There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). (Ⅲ) - between them a barrier they do not overpass. (Ⅳ) - Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ
- Yakhruju minhuma alluluo waalmarjanu (Ⅰ) - There come forth from them pearls and coral. (Ⅱ) - There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. (Ⅲ) - From them come forth the pearl and the coral. (Ⅳ) - Out of them come Pearls and Coral: (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ
- Walahu aljawari almunshaatu fee albahri kaalaAAlami (Ⅰ) - And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. (Ⅱ) - His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. (Ⅲ) - His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. (Ⅳ) - And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
- Kullu man AAalayha fanin (Ⅰ) - All that is therein (on earth) must pass away. (Ⅱ) - Everyone that is thereon will pass away; (Ⅲ) - All that dwells upon the earth is perishing, (Ⅳ) - All that is on earth will perish: (Ⅵ)

27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
- Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thoo aljalali waalikrami (Ⅰ) - And there remains naught but the Countenance of your Lord of Might and Glory (or of Majesty and Nobility (Bounty and Honour)). (Ⅱ) - There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory. (Ⅲ) - yet still abides the Face of thy Lord, majestic, splendid. (Ⅳ) - But will abide (for ever) the Face of thy Lord,- full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour. (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

55.
29
يَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ
- Yasaluhu man fee alssamawati waalardi kulla yawmin huwa fee shanin (Ⅰ) - All those who are in the heavens and the earth entreat (or need) Him; every moment is He in a (new?) state of Glory (or wields universal power). (Ⅱ) - All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exerciseth (universal) power. (Ⅲ) - Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth implore Him; every day He is upon some labour. (Ⅳ) - Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)! (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ
- Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha alththaqalani (Ⅰ) - Soon will We apply Ourselves to you, O you two worlds (men and jinn or outer and inner, manifest and hidden). (Ⅱ) - We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn). (Ⅲ) - We shall surely attend to you at leisure, you weight and you weight! (Ⅳ) - Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both ye worlds! (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ
- Ya maAAshara aljinni waalinsi ini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari alssamawati waalardi faonfuthoo la tanfuthoona illa bisultanin (Ⅰ) - O assembly of the jinn and the men! If you are able to pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass through; you cannot pass through but with authority. (Ⅱ) - O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction. (Ⅲ) - O tribe of jinn and of men, if you are able to pass through the confines of heaven and earth, pass through them! You shall not pass through except with an authority. (Ⅳ) - O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass! (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
- Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathun min narin wanuhasun fala tantasirani (Ⅰ) - The flames of fire (to burn) and smoke (to choke) will be sent on you two, then you will have no defence. (Ⅱ) - There will be sent, against you both, heat of fire and flash of brass, and ye will not escape. (Ⅲ) - Against you shall be loosed a flame of fire, and molten brass; and you shall not be helped. (Ⅳ) - On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have: (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ
- Faitha inshaqqati alssamao fakanat wardatan kaalddihani (Ⅰ) - And when the heaven is rent asunder and then becomes red like red hide. (Ⅱ) - And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like red hide - (Ⅲ) - And when heaven is split asunder, and turns crimson like red leather -- (Ⅳ) - When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment: (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? - (Ⅲ) - O which of our Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

39
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ
- Fayawmaithin la yusalu AAan thanbihi insun wala jannun (Ⅰ) - So on that day neither man nor jinn shall be asked about his sin. (Ⅱ) - On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin. (Ⅲ) - on that day none shall be questioned about his sin, neither man nor jinn. (Ⅳ) - On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin. (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ
- YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahum fayukhathu bialnnawasee waalaqdami (Ⅰ) - The guilty shall be recognized by their marks, so they shall be seized by the forelocks and the feet. (Ⅱ) - The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet. (Ⅲ) - The sinners shall be known by their mark, and they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet. (Ⅳ) - (For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ
- Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibu biha almujrimoona (Ⅰ) - This is the hell which the guilty called a lie. (Ⅱ) - This is hell which the guilty deny. (Ⅲ) - This is Gehenna, that sinners cried lies to; (Ⅳ) - This is the Hell which the Sinners deny: (Ⅵ)

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ
- Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameemin anin (Ⅰ) - They go circling between it and hot, boiling water. (Ⅱ) - They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water. (Ⅲ) - they shall go round between it and between hot, boiling water. (Ⅳ) - In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round! (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (Ⅵ)

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ
- Waliman khafa maqama rabbihi jannatani (Ⅰ) - And for him who fears to stand before his Lord are two Gardens. (Ⅱ) - But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens. (Ⅲ) - But such as fears the Station of his Lord, for them shall be two gardens -- (Ⅳ) - But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens- (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- (Ⅵ)

ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ
- Thawata afnanin (Ⅰ) - Containing in them various kinds (trees and delights). (Ⅱ) - Of spreading branches. (Ⅲ) - abounding in branches -- (Ⅳ) - Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- (Ⅵ)

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani (Ⅰ) - Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ⅱ) - Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? (Ⅲ) - O which of your Lord´s bounties will you and you deny? (Ⅳ) - Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- (Ⅵ)
