بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ)
- Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)
7. 1  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ المص
- Aliflammeemsad (Ⅰ)
- ALIF LAM MIM SAD. (Ⅱ)
- Alif. Lam. Mim. Sad. (Ⅲ)
- Alif Lam Mim Sad (Ⅳ)
- Alif, Lam, Mim, Sad. (Ⅵ)
7. 2  
كِتَابٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ فَلَا يَكُن فِي صَدْرِكَ حَرَجٌ مِّنْهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِهِ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- Kitabun onzila ilayka fala yakun fee sadrika harajun minhu litunthira bihi wathikra lilmumineena (Ⅰ)
- This is a Book revealed to you (O Muhammad) - so let there be no heaviness in your breast, that you may warn the erring thereby, and remind the believers. (Ⅱ)
- (It is) a Scripture that is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) - so let there be no heaviness in thy heart therefrom - that thou mayst warn thereby, and (it is) a Reminder unto believers. (Ⅲ)
- A Book sent down to thee -- so let there be no impediment in thy breast because of it -- to warn thereby, and as a reminder to believers: (Ⅳ)
- A Book revealed unto thee,- So let thy heart be oppressed no more by any difficulty on that account,- that with it thou mightest warn (the erring) and teach the Believers). (Ⅵ)
7. 3  
اتَّبِعُوا مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا مِن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۗ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
- IttabiAAoo ma onzila ilaykum min rabbikum wala tattabiAAoo min doonihi awliyaa qaleelan ma tathakkaroona (Ⅰ)
- Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord, and follow not beside Him other patrons; little is it that you remember (of admonition). (Ⅱ)
- (Saying): Follow that which is sent down unto you from your Lord, and follow no protecting friends beside Him. Little do ye recollect! (Ⅲ)
- Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and follow no friends other than He; little do you remember. (Ⅳ)
- Follow (O men!) the revelation given unto you from your Lord, and follow not, as friends or protectors, other than Him. Little it is ye remember of admonition. (Ⅵ)
7. 4  
وَكَم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا فَجَاءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَائِلُونَ
- Wakam min qaryatin ahlaknaha fajaaha basuna bayatan aw hum qailoona (Ⅰ)
- Yet how many a town have We destroyed, and Our wrath came upon it by night, or while they slept at noon; (Ⅱ)
- How many a township have We destroyed! As a raid by night, or while they slept at noon, Our terror came unto them. (Ⅲ)
- How many a city We have destroyed! Our might came upon it at night, or while they took their ease in the noontide, (Ⅳ)
- How many towns have We destroyed (for their sins)? Our punishment took them on a sudden by night or while they slept for their afternoon rest. (Ⅵ)
7. 5  
فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَاهُمْ إِذْ جَاءَهُم بَأْسُنَا إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ
- Fama kana daAAwahum ith jaahum basuna illa an qaloo inna kunna thalimeena (Ⅰ)
- And their cry, when Our wrath came upon them, was only to say, "Verily, we were unjust (wrongdoers)!" (Ⅱ)
- No plea had they, when Our terror came unto them, save that they said: Lo! We were wrong-doers. (Ⅲ)
- and they but cried, when Our might came upon there, ´We were evildoers.´; (Ⅳ)
- When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: "Indeed we did wrong." (Ⅵ)
7. 6  
فَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
- Falanasalanna allatheena orsila ilayhim walanasalanna almursaleena (Ⅰ)
- But We will certainly question those to whom the Message was sent and those by whom We sent it. (Ⅱ)
- Then verily We shall question those unto whom (Our message) hath been sent, and verily We shall question the messengers. (Ⅲ)
- So We shall question those unto whom a Message was sent, and We shall question the Envoys, (Ⅳ)
- Then shall we question those to whom Our message was sent and those by whom We sent it. (Ⅵ)
7. 7  
فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِم بِعِلْمٍ ۖ وَمَا كُنَّا غَائِبِينَ
- Falanaqussanna AAalayhim biAAilmin wama kunna ghaibeena (Ⅰ)
- Then We will narrate to them with knowledge, for We were never absent. (Ⅱ)
- Then verily We shall narrate unto them (the event) with knowledge, for We were not absent (when it came to pass). (Ⅲ)
- and We shall relate to them with knowledge; assuredly We were not absent. (Ⅳ)
- And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place). (Ⅵ)
7. 8  
وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ ۚ فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
- Waalwaznu yawmaithini alhaqqu faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faolaika humu almuflihoona (Ⅰ)
- The balance on that day is true, and those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful; (Ⅱ)
- The weighing on that day is the true (weighing). As for those whose scale is heavy, they are the successful. (Ⅲ)
- The weighing that day is true; he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, (Ⅳ)
- The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper: (Ⅵ)
7. 9  
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ
- Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faolaika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum bima kanoo biayatina yathlimoona (Ⅰ)
- But those whose scales are light, they it is who lose their souls, for that they did act unjustly by Our Signs (revelations, creatures). (Ⅱ)
- And as for those whose scale is light: those are they who lose their souls because they used to wrong Our revelations. (Ⅲ)
- and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their soul for wronging Our signs. (Ⅳ)
- Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs. (Ⅵ)
7. 10  
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ ۗ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ
- Walaqad makkannakum fee alardi wajaAAalna lakum feeha maAAayisha qaleelan ma tashkuroona (Ⅰ)
- We have given you power (authority) in the earth, and provided for you therein the means of self-fulfilment (livelihood, opportunities, resources, faculties); little thanks give ye. (Ⅱ)
- And We have given you (mankind) power in the earth, and appointed for you therein livelihoods. Little give ye thanks! (Ⅲ)
- We have established you in the earth and there appointed for you livelihood; little thanks you show. (Ⅳ)
- It is We Who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for the fulfilment of your life: small are the thanks that ye give! (Ⅵ)
7. 11  
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ
- Walaqad khalaqnakum thumma sawwarnakum thumma qulna lilmalaikati osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa lam yakun mina alssajideena (Ⅰ)
- It is We who created you, and then gave you Form (shape), then We said unto the angels, "Prostrate yourselves before Adam (do him obeisance)," and they fell prostrate, except Iblis, who was not of those who make prostration (or have humility). (Ⅱ)
- And We created you, then fashioned you, then told the angels: Fall ye prostrate before Adam! And they fell prostrate, all save Iblis, who was not of those who make prostration. (Ⅲ)
- We created you, then We shaped you, then We said to the angels: ´Bow yourselves to Adam´; so they bowed themselves, save Iblis -- he was not of those that bowed themselves. (Ⅳ)
- It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate. (Ⅵ)
7. 12  
قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلَّا تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ ۖ قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ
- Qala ma manaAAaka alla tasjuda ith amartuka qala ana khayrun minhu khalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin (Ⅰ)
- He (Allah) said, "What hinders you from prostration when I command you?" He (Iblis) said, "I am better than he; you have created me from Fire, and him you have created out of Clay." (Ⅱ)
- He said: What hindered thee that thou didst not fall prostrate when I bade thee ? (Iblis) said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire while him Thou didst create of mud. (Ⅲ)
- Said He, ´What prevented thee to bow thyself, when I commanded thee?´ Said he, ´I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.´ (Ⅳ)
- (Allah) said: "What prevented thee from prostrating when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay." (Ⅵ)
7. 13  
قَالَ فَاهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَن تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا فَاخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ
- Qala faihbit minha fama yakoonu laka an tatakabbara feeha faokhruj innaka mina alssaghireena (Ⅰ)
- Said He, "Then get you down from this (situation); what ails you that you should be arrogant here? Go forth! Verily, you are of the meanest (the degraded)." (Ⅱ)
- He said: Then go down hence! It is not for thee to show pride here, so go forth! Lo! thou art of those degraded. (Ⅲ)
- Said He, ´Get thee down out of it; it is not for thee to wax proud here, so go thou forth; surely thou art among the humbled.´ (Ⅳ)
- (Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)." (Ⅵ)
7. 14  
قَالَ أَنظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
- Qala anthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona (Ⅰ)
- He (Iblis) said, "Respite me until the day when they shall be raised." (Ⅱ)
- He said: Reprieve me till the day when they are raised (from the dead). (Ⅲ)
- Said he, ´Respite me till the day they shall be raised.´ (Ⅳ)
- He said: "Give me respite till the day they are raised up." (Ⅵ)
7. 15  
قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ
- Qala innaka mina almunthareena (Ⅰ)
- He (Allah) said, "Verily, you are of those given respite." (Ⅱ)
- He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved. (Ⅲ)
- Said He, ´Thou art among the ones that are respited.´ (Ⅳ)
- (Allah) said: "Be thou among those who have respite." (Ⅵ)
7. 16  
قَالَ فَبِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
- Qala fabima aghwaytanee laaqAAudanna lahum sirataka almustaqeema (Ⅰ)
- He (Iblis) said, "For that Thou hast led me into error, I will lie in wait for them (ambush them) in Thy Straight Way; (Ⅱ)
- He said: Now, because Thou hast sent me astray, verily I shall lurk in ambush for them on Thy Right Path. (Ⅲ)
- Said he, ´Now, for Thy perverting me, I shall surely sit in ambush for them on Thy straight path; (Ⅳ)
- He said: "Because thou hast thrown me out of the way, lo! I will lie in wait for them on thy straight way: (Ⅵ)
7. 17  
ثُمَّ لَآتِيَنَّهُم مِّن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَائِلِهِمْ ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَاكِرِينَ
- Thumma laatiyannahum min bayni aydeehim wamin khalfihim waAAan aymanihim waAAan shamailihim wala tajidu aktharahum shakireena (Ⅰ)
- Then I will surely come to them, from before them and from behind them; and most of them you shall not find thankful." (Ⅱ)
- Then I shall come upon them from before them and from behind them and from their right hands and from their left hands, and Thou wilt not find most of them beholden (unto Thee). (Ⅲ)
- then I shall come on them from before them and from behind them, from their right hands and their left hands; Thou wilt not find most of them thankful.´ (Ⅳ)
- "Then will I assault them from before them and behind them, from their right and their left: Nor wilt thou find, in most of them, gratitude (for thy mercies)." (Ⅵ)
7. 18  
قَالَ اخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُومًا مَّدْحُورًا ۖ لَّمَن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
- Qala okhruj minha mathooman madhooran laman tabiAAaka minhum laamlaanna jahannama minkum ajmaAAeena (Ⅰ)
- He said, "Go forth here from, despised, expelled. Whoever follows you, I will surely fill hell with you all." (Ⅱ)
- He said: Go forth from hence, degraded, banished. As for such of them as follow thee, surely I will fill hell with all of you. (Ⅲ)
- Said He, ´Go thou forth from it, despised and banished. Those of them that follow thee -- I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with all of you.´ (Ⅳ)
- (Allah) said: "Get out from this, disgraced and expelled. If any of them follow thee,- Hell will I fill with you all. (Ⅵ)
7. 19  
وَيَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ فَكُلَا مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
- Waya adamu oskun anta wazawjuka aljannata fakula min haythu shituma wala taqraba hathihi alshshajarata fatakoona mina alththalimeena (Ⅰ)
- "But, O Adam, dwell you and your wife in Paradise and eat from whence you will, but draw not nigh unto this Tree or you will be of the unjust (transgressors)." (Ⅱ)
- And (unto man): O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden and eat from whence ye will, but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrong-doers. (Ⅲ)
- ´O Adam, inherit, thou and thy wife, the Garden, and eat of where you will, but come not nigh this tree, lest you be of the evildoers.´ (Ⅳ)
- "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and enjoy (its good things) as ye wish: but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression." (Ⅵ)
7. 20  
فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ لِيُبْدِيَ لَهُمَا مَا وُورِيَ عَنْهُمَا مِن سَوْآتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَاكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَٰذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّا أَن تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ الْخَالِدِينَ
- Fawaswasa lahuma alshshaytanu liyubdiya lahuma ma wooriya AAanhuma min sawatihima waqala ma nahakuma rabbukuma AAan hathihi alshshajarati illa an takoona malakayni aw takoona mina alkhalideena (Ⅰ)
- Then Satan whispered to them (planted suggestions in their minds) to display to them what was kept back from them of their shame (they felt shame or guilt for the first time), and he said, "your Lord has only forbidden you this tree lest you should become angels, or should become of the immortals." (Ⅱ)
- Then Satan whispered to them that he might manifest unto them that which was hidden from them of their shame, and he said: Your Lord forbade you from this tree only lest ye should become angels or become of the immortals. (Ⅲ)
- Then Satan whispered to them, to reveal to them that which was hidden from them of their shameful parts. He said, ´Your Lord has only prohibited you from this tree lest you become angels, or lest you become immortals.´ (Ⅳ)
- Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever." (Ⅵ)
7. 21  
وَقَاسَمَهُمَا إِنِّي لَكُمَا لَمِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ
- Waqasamahuma innee lakuma lamina alnnasiheena (Ⅰ)
- And he swore to them both, "Verily, I am unto you a sincere adviser;" (Ⅱ)
- And he swore unto them (saying): Lo! I am a sincere adviser unto you. (Ⅲ)
- And he swore to them, ´Truly, I am for you a sincere adviser.´ (Ⅳ)
- And he swore to them both, that he was their sincere adviser. (Ⅵ)
7. 22  
فَدَلَّاهُمَا بِغُرُورٍ ۚ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا الشَّجَرَةَ بَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْآتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ وَنَادَاهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَن تِلْكُمَا الشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُل لَّكُمَا إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمَا عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
- Fadallahuma bighuroorin falamma thaqa alshshajarata badat lahuma sawatuhuma watafiqa yakhsifani AAalayhima min waraqi aljannati wanadahuma rabbuhuma alam anhakuma AAan tilkuma alshshajarati waaqul lakuma inna alshshaytana lakuma AAaduwwun mubeenun (Ⅰ)
- And so he beguiled them by deceit. And when the twain had tasted of the Tree, their shame was manifested unto them, and they began to sew upon themselves the leaves of the Garden (to hide their shame, nakedness. rebelliousness or sinfulness) And their Lord called unto them, "Did I not forbid you that tree, and say to you, that verily, Satan is to you an open foe?" (Ⅱ)
- Thus did he lead them on with guile. And when they tasted of the tree their shame was manifest to them and they began to hide (by heaping) on themselves some of the leaves of the Garden. And their Lord called them, (saying): Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you: Lo! Satan is an open enemy to you ? (Ⅲ)
- So he led them on by delusion; and when they tasted the tree, their shameful parts revealed to them, so they took to stitching upon themselves leaves of the Garden. And their Lord called to them, ´Did not I prohibit you from this tree, and say to you, "Verily Satan is for you a manifest foe"?´ (Ⅳ)
- So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies. And their Lord called unto them: "Did I not forbid you that tree, and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you?" (Ⅵ)
7. 23  
قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
- Qala rabbana thalamna anfusana wain lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireena (Ⅰ)
- They said, "O our Lord! We have wronged our own souls - and if you do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we shall surely be of those who are lost!" (Ⅱ)
- They said: Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us, surely we are of the lost! (Ⅲ)
- They said, ´Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if Thou dost not forgive us, and have mercy upon us, we shall surely be among the lost.´ (Ⅳ)
- They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost." (Ⅵ)
7. 24  
قَالَ اهْبِطُوا بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ ۖ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
- Qala ihbitoo baAAdukum libaAAdin AAaduwwun walakum fee alardi mustaqarrun wamataAAun ila heenin (Ⅰ)
- He said, "Go you down, each one of you an enemy to the other. In the earth will be your abode, and a provision for a season." (Ⅱ)
- He said: Go down (from hence), one of you a foe unto the other. There will be for you on earth a habitation and provision for a while. (Ⅲ)
- Said He, ´Get you down, each of you an enemy to each. In the earth a sojourn shall be yours, and enjoyment for a time.´ (Ⅳ)
- (Allah) said: "Get ye down. With enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood,- for a time." (Ⅵ)
7. 25  
قَالَ فِيهَا تَحْيَوْنَ وَفِيهَا تَمُوتُونَ وَمِنْهَا تُخْرَجُونَ
- Qala feeha tahyawna wafeeha tamootoona waminha tukhrajoona (Ⅰ)
- He said, "Therein shall you live and therein shall you die, from it shall you be brought forth at last." (Ⅱ)
- He said: There shall ye live, and there shall ye die, and thence shall ye be brought forth. (Ⅲ)
- Said He, ´Therein you shall live, and therein you shall die, and from there you shall be brought forth.´ (Ⅳ)
- He said: "Therein shall ye live, and therein shall ye die; but from it shall ye be taken out (at last)." (Ⅵ)
7. 26  
يَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْآتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
- Ya banee adama qad anzalna AAalaykum libasan yuwaree sawatikum wareeshan walibasu alttaqwa thalika khayrun thalika min ayati Allahi laAAallahum yaththakkaroona (Ⅰ)
- O children of Adam! We have revealed to you garments wherewith to cover your shame, and adornments (ornaments, embellishments, enhancements); but the garment of righteousness (restraint from evil), that is best. That is one of the Signs of Allah, per chance (or possibly) you may remember. (Ⅱ)
- O Children of Adam! We have revealed unto you raiment to conceal your shame, and splendid vesture, but the raiment of restraint from evil, that is best. This is of the revelations of Allah, that they may remember. (Ⅲ)
- Children of Adam! We have sent down on you a garment to cover your shameful parts, and feathers; and the garment of godfearing -- that is better; that is one of God´s signs; haply they will remember. (Ⅳ)
- O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition! (Ⅵ)
7. 27  
يَا بَنِي آدَمَ لَا يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ كَمَا أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَنزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْآتِهِمَا ۗ إِنَّهُ يَرَاكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا تَرَوْنَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
- Ya banee adama la yaftinannakumu alshshaytanu kama akhraja abawaykum mina aljannati yanziAAu AAanhuma libasahuma liyuriyahuma sawatihima innahu yarakum huwa waqabeeluhu min haythu la tarawnahum inna jaAAalna alshshayateena awliyaa lillatheena la yuminoona (Ⅰ)
- O children of Adam! Let not Satan infatuate you as he drove your parents out of Paradise, stripping from them their garments, and exposing for them their shame; verily, he watches you, he and his tribe, from whence you cannot see them. Verily, We have made the devils patrons of those without Faith. (Ⅱ)
- O Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you as he caused your (first) parents to go forth from the Garden and tore off from them their robe (of innocence) that he might manifest their shame to them. Lo! he seeth you, he and his tribe, from whence ye see him not. Lo! We have made the devils protecting friends for those who believe not. (Ⅲ)
- Children of Adam! Let not Satan tempt you as he brought your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their garments to show them their shameful parts. Surely he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you see them not. We have made the Satans the friends of those who do not believe. (Ⅳ)
- O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends (only) to those without faith. (Ⅵ)
7. 28  
وَإِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللَّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ ۖ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
- Waitha faAAaloo fahishatan qaloo wajadna AAalayha abaana waAllahu amarana biha qul inna Allaha la yamuru bialfahshai ataqooloona AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- And when they commit an abomination (shameful things) they say, "We found our fathers at this, and Allah bade us do it." Say, " Nay, Allah bids you not to do abominations (shameful things); do you say against Allah that which you know not?" (Ⅱ)
- And when they do some lewdness they say: We found our fathers doing it and Allah hath enjoined it on us. Say: Allah, verily, enjoineth not lewdness. Tell ye concerning Allah that which ye know not ? (Ⅲ)
- And whenever they commit an indecency they say, ´We found our fathers practising it, and God has commanded us to do it.´ Say: ´God does not command indecency; what, do you say concerning God such things as you know not?´ (Ⅳ)
- When they do aught that is shameful, they say: "We found our fathers doing so"; and "Allah commanded us thus": Say: "Nay, Allah never commands what is shameful: do ye say of Allah what ye know not?" (Ⅵ)
7. 29  
قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَقِيمُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ
- Qul amara rabbee bialqisti waaqeemoo wujoohakum AAinda kulli masjidin waodAAoohu mukhliseena lahu alddeena kama badaakum taAAoodoona (Ⅰ)
- Say, "My Lord commands only justice: - set your faces steadfastly at every place of worship and call upon Him, making religion (or your way of life) pure for Him only. As He brought you forth in the beginning, so shall you return unto Him. (Ⅱ)
- Say: My Lord enjoineth justice. And set your faces upright (toward Him) at every place of worship and call upon Him, making religion pure for Him (only). As He brought you into being, so return ye (unto Him). (Ⅲ)
- Say: ´My Lord has commanded justice. Set your faces in every place of worship and call on Him, making your religion sincerely His. As He originated you so you will return; (Ⅳ)
- Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return." (Ⅵ)
7. 30  
فَرِيقًا هَدَىٰ وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلَالَةُ ۗ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
- Fareeqan hada wafareeqan haqqa AAalayhimu alddalalatu innahumu ittakhathoo alshshayateena awliyaa min dooni Allahi wayahsaboona annahum muhtadoona (Ⅰ)
- A section is led by His guidance, while error has just hold on another, for, verily, they did take the devils for their patrons instead of Allah, and deemed that they were guided." (Ⅱ)
- A party hath He led aright, while error hath just hold over (another) party, for lo! they choose the devils for protecting supporters instead of Allah and deem that they are rightly guided. (Ⅲ)
- a part He guided, and a part justly disposed to error -- they have taken Satans for friends instead of God, and think them guided.´ (Ⅳ)
- Some He hath guided: Others have (by their choice) deserved the loss of their way; in that they took the evil ones, in preference to Allah, for their friends and protectors, and think that they receive guidance. (Ⅵ)
7. 31  
۞ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلَا تُسْرِفُوا ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
- Ya banee adama khuthoo zeenatakum AAinda kulli masjidin wakuloo waishraboo wala tusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeena (Ⅰ)
- O children of Adam! Take your adornments (clothes, grooming, manners, etiquette etc.) to every place of worship and eat and drink, but do not be extravagant (wasteful), for He loves not the extravagant (wasteful). (Ⅱ)
- O Children of Adam! Look to your adornment at every place of worship, and eat and drink, but be not prodigal. Lo! He loveth not the prodigals. (Ⅲ)
- Children of Adam! Take your adornment at every place of worship; and eat and drink, but be you not prodigal; He loves not the prodigal. (Ⅳ)
- O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters. (Ⅵ)
7. 32  
قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِ وَالطَّيِّبَاتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ ۚ قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا خَالِصَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
- Qul man harrama zeenata Allahi allatee akhraja liAAibadihi waalttayyibati mina alrrizqi qul hiya lillatheena amanoo fee alhayati alddunya khalisatan yawma alqiyamati kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- Say, "Who has prohibited the beautiful adornments (gifts) of Allah which He brought forth for His servants, and the good things He has provided?" Say, "On the Day (of Resurrection and Judgment) they shall only be for those who believed when they were in the life of this world." Thus do We detail the Signs (revelations) unto a people who have understanding. (Ⅱ)
- Say: Who hath forbidden the adornment of Allah which He hath brought forth for His bondmen, and the good things of His providing ? Say: Such, on the Day of Resurrection, will be only for those who believed during the life of the world. Thus do we detail Our revelations for people who have knowledge. (Ⅲ)
- Say: ´Who has forbidden the ornament of God which He brought forth for His servants, and the good things of His providing?´ Say: ´These, on the Day of Resurrection, shall be exclusively for those who believed in this present life. So We distinguish the signs for a people who know.´ (Ⅳ)
- Say: Who hath forbidden the beautiful (gifts) of Allah, which He hath produced for His servants, and the things, clean and pure, (which He hath provided) for sustenance? Say: They are, in the life of this world, for those who believe, (and) purely for them on the Day of Judgment. Thus do We explain the signs in detail for those who understand. (Ⅵ)
7. 33  
قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالْإِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَأَن تُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَأَن تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
- Qul innama harrama rabbiya alfawahisha ma thahara minha wama batana waalithma waalbaghya bighayri alhaqqi waan tushrikoo biAllahi ma lam yunazzil bihi sultanan waan taqooloo AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- Say, "My Lord has only forbidden abominable (shameful) deeds, the apparent and the concealed, and sin (errors), and greed for that which is not right (trespasses against truth and reason), and associating with Allah that for (or to) which He has given no authority (or power), and saying about Allah that of which you have no knowledge." (Ⅱ)
- Say: My Lord forbiddeth only indecencies, such of them as are apparent and such as are within, and sin and wrongful oppression, and that ye associate with Allah that for which no warrant hath been revealed, and that ye tell concerning Allah that which ye know not. (Ⅲ)
- Say: ´My Lord has only forbidden indecencies, the inward and the outward, and sin, and unjust insolence, and that you associate with God that for which He sent down never authority, and that you say concerning God such as you know not. (Ⅳ)
- Say: the things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no knowledge. (Ⅵ)
7. 34  
وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
- Walikulli ommatin ajalun faitha jaa ajaluhum la yastakhiroona saAAatan wala yastaqdimoona (Ⅰ)
- Every nation (or community) has its appointed term, and when their appointed term is completed they cannot delay it an hour, nor can they advance it. (Ⅱ)
- And every nation hath its term, and when its term cometh, they cannot put it off an hour nor yet advance (it). (Ⅲ)
- To every nation a term; when their term comes they shall not put it back by a single hour nor put it forward. (Ⅳ)
- To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation). (Ⅵ)
7. 35  
يَا بَنِي آدَمَ إِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي ۙ فَمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
- Ya banee adama imma yatiyannakum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayatee famani ittaqa waaslaha fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona (Ⅰ)
- O children of Adam! Verily, there will come to you Messengers from amongst you, narrating unto you My Signs; then whoever fears Allah (refrains from evil) and does what is right (makes amends), there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve. (Ⅱ)
- O Children of Adam! When messengers of your own come unto you who narrate unto you My revelations, then whosoever refraineth from evil and amendeth - there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. (Ⅲ)
- Children of Adam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, relating to you My signs, then whosoever is godfearing and makes amends -- no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow. (Ⅳ)
- O ye Children of Adam! whenever there come to you messengers from amongst you, rehearsing My signs unto you,- those who are righteous and mend (their lives),- on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve. (Ⅵ)
7. 36  
وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
- Waallatheena kaththaboo biayatina waistakbaroo AAanha olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona (Ⅰ)
- But those who reject Our Signs, and who are arrogant, these are the Fellows of the Fire, they shall dwell therein. (Ⅱ)
- But they who deny Our revelations and scorn them - each are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein. (Ⅲ)
- And those that cry lies to Our signs, and wax proud against them -- those shall be the inhabitants of the Fire, therein dwelling forever. (Ⅳ)
- But those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance,- they are companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for ever). (Ⅵ)
7. 37  
فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيبُهُم مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ قَالُوا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا وَشَهِدُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَافِرِينَ
- Faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba biayatihi olaika yanaluhum naseebuhum mina alkitabi hatta itha jaathum rusuluna yatawaffawnahum qaloo ayna ma kuntum tadAAoona min dooni Allahi qaloo dalloo AAanna washahidoo AAala anfusihim annahum kanoo kafireena (Ⅰ)
- Who is more unjust than he who devises a lie against Allah, and scorns His Signs (or revelations)? For such, their portion of the Book (of Destiny) shall reach them, until, when Our Messengers come to take their souls away, and say, "Where is now what you used to rely upon instead of Allah?" They reply, "They have departed from us." And they shall bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers (rejecters of truth). (Ⅱ)
- Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah or denieth Our tokens. (For such) their appointed portion of the Book (of destiny) reacheth them till, when Our messengers come to gather them, they say: Where (now) is that to which ye cried beside Allah ? They say: They have departed from us. And they testify against themselves that they were disbelievers. (Ⅲ)
- And who does greater evil than he who forges against God a lie, or cries lies to His signs? Those - their portion of the Book shall reach them; till, when Our messengers come to them, to take them away, they say, ´Where is that you were calling on, beside God?´ They will say, ´They have gone astray from us, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were unbelievers. (Ⅳ)
- Who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or rejects His Signs? For such, their portion appointed must reach them from the Book (of decrees): until, when our messengers (of death) arrive and take their souls, they say: "Where are the things that ye used to invoke besides Allah?" They will reply, "They have left us in the lurch," And they will bear witness against themselves, that they had rejected Allah. (Ⅵ)
7. 38  
قَالَ ادْخُلُوا فِي أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ فِي النَّارِ ۖ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَّعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا ادَّارَكُوا فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ أُخْرَاهُمْ لِأُولَاهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَآتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِّنَ النَّارِ ۖ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَعْلَمُونَ
- Qala odkhuloo fee omamin qad khalat min qablikum mina aljinni waalinsi fee alnnari kullama dakhalat ommatun laAAanat okhtaha hatta itha iddarakoo feeha jameeAAan qalat okhrahum lioolahum rabbana haolai adalloona faatihim AAathaban diAAfan mina alnnari qala likullin diAAfun walakin la taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- He will say, "Enter you the Fire amongst the nations (communities) who have passed away before you - both of jinn and men." Whenever a nation (community) enters therein, it curses its sister (nation, community); until, when they have followed each other into the Fire, the last of them will say about the first, "O our Lord! These it was who led us astray, give them a double penalty of the Fire!" He will say, "Double for each of you!" But this you do not understand. (Ⅱ)
- He saith: Enter into the Fire among nations of the jinn and humankind who passed away before you. Every time a nation entereth, it curseth its sister (nation) till, when they have all been made to follow one another thither, the last of them saith unto the first of them: Our Lord! These led us astray, so give them double torment of the Fire. He saith: For each one there is double (torment), but ye know not. (Ⅲ)
- He will say, ´Enter among nations that passed away before you, jinn and mankind, into the Fire.´ Whenever any nation enters, it curses its sister-nation; till, when they have all successively come there, the last of them shall say to the first of them, ´O our Lord, these led us astray; so give them a double chastisement of the Fire.´ He will say, ´Unto each a double, but you know not. (Ⅳ)
- He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they follow each other, all into the Fire. Saith the last about the first: "Our Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all" : but this ye do not understand. (Ⅵ)
7. 39  
وَقَالَتْ أُولَاهُمْ لِأُخْرَاهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ
- Waqalat oolahum liokhrahum fama kana lakum AAalayna min fadlin fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum taksiboona (Ⅰ)
- Then the first will say to the last, "You have no preference (advantage) over us (or were no better than us), so taste you the penalty for that which you have earned!" (Ⅱ)
- And the first of them saith unto the last of them: Ye were no whit better than us, so taste the doom for what ye used to earn. (Ⅲ)
- The first of them shall say to the last of them, ´You have no superiority over us, then; so taste the chastisement for what you have been earning.´ (Ⅳ)
- Then the first will say to the last: "See then! No advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did !" (Ⅵ)
7. 40  
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِمِينَ
- Inna allatheena kaththaboo biayatina waistakbaroo AAanha la tufattahu lahum abwabu alssamai wala yadkhuloona aljannata hatta yalija aljamalu fee sammi alkhiyati wakathalika najzee almujrimeena (Ⅰ)
- Verily, those who deny and scorn Our Signs in arrogance, for these the doors of heaven shall not be opened, nor shall they enter into the Garden, until a camel can pass through the eye of a needle. Such is Our reward for the guilty. (Compare with MatthewMark 10:25) (Ⅱ)
- Lo! they who deny Our revelations and scorn them, for them the gates of heaven will nor be opened not will they enter the Garden until the camel goeth through the needle's eye. Thus do We requite the guilty. (Ⅲ)
- Those that cry lies to Our signs and wax proud against them the gates of heaven shall not be opened to them, nor shall they enter Paradise until the camel passes through the eye of the needle. Even so We recompense the sinners; (Ⅳ)
- To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin. (Ⅵ)
7. 41  
لَهُم مِّن جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِن فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ
- Lahum min jahannama mihadun wamin fawqihim ghawashin wakathalika najzee alththalimeena (Ⅰ)
- For them is Hell, as a couch below them and coverings above them! Thus do We reward the unjust! (Ⅱ)
- Theirs will be a bed of hell, and over them coverings (of hell). Thus do We requite wrong-doers. (Ⅲ)
- Gehenna shall be their cradle, above them coverings. Even so We recompense the evildoers. (Ⅳ)
- For them there is Hell, as a couch (below) and folds and folds of covering above: such is Our requital of those who do wrong. (Ⅵ)
7. 42  
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
- Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati la nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha olaika ashabu aljannati hum feeha khalidoona (Ⅰ)
- But those who believe and do what is right - We will not oblige a soul with more than it´s capacity - they are the companions of the Garden; they shall dwell therein. (Ⅱ)
- But (as for) those who believe and do good works - We tax not any soul beyond its scope - Such are rightful owners of the Garden. They abide therein. (Ⅲ)
- And those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness -- We charge not any soul, save according to its capacity; those are the inhabitants of Paradise, therein dwelling forever; (Ⅳ)
- But those who believe and work righteousness,- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear,- they will be Companions of the Garden, therein to dwell (for ever). (Ⅵ)
7. 43  
وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهَارُ ۖ وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ ۖ لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ ۖ وَنُودُوا أَن تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
- WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihim min ghillin tajree min tahtihimu alanharu waqaloo alhamdu lillahi allathee hadana lihatha wama kunna linahtadiya lawla an hadana Allahu laqad jaat rusulu rabbina bialhaqqi wanoodoo an tilkumu aljannatu oorithtumooha bima kuntum taAAmaloona (Ⅰ)
- We will strip away what rancour (ill feeling) is in their breasts. There shall flow beneath them Rivers, and they shall say, "Praise belongs to Allah who guided us to this! For we should not have been led aright had not Allah guided us! Verily, the Messenger of our Lord did come to us with truth!" And they shall hear the cry, "Behold, the Garden which you have as an inheritance for that which you used to do!" (Ⅱ)
- And We remove whatever rancour may be in their hearts. Rivers flow beneath them. And they say: The praise to Allah, Who hath guided us to this. We could not truly have been led aright if Allah had not guided us. Verily the messengers of our Lord did bring the Truth. And it is cried unto them: This is the Garden. Ye inherit it for what ye used to do. (Ⅲ)
- We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; and underneath them rivers flowing; and they will say, ´Praise belongs to God, who guided us unto this; had God not guided us, we had surely never been guided. Indeed, our Lord´s Messengers came with the truth.´ And it will be proclaimed: ´This is your Paradise; you have been given it as your inheritance for what you did.´ (Ⅳ)
- And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury;- beneath them will be rivers flowing;- and they shall say: "Praise be to Allah, who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth, that the messengers of our Lord brought unto us." And they shall hear the cry: "Behold! the garden before you! Ye have been made its inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness)." (Ⅵ)
7. 44  
وَنَادَىٰ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ أَن قَدْ وَجَدْنَا مَا وَعَدَنَا رَبُّنَا حَقًّا فَهَلْ وَجَدتُّم مَّا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ۖ قَالُوا نَعَمْ ۚ فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ بَيْنَهُمْ أَن لَّعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ
- Wanada ashabu aljannati ashaba alnnari an qad wajadna ma waAAadana rabbuna haqqan fahal wajadtum ma waAAada rabbukum haqqan qaloo naAAam faaththana muaththinun baynahum an laAAnatu Allahi AAala alththalimeena (Ⅰ)
- And the Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire, "We have now found that what our Lord promised us is true; have you also found that what your Lord promised you is true?" They will say, "Yea!" And a crier from amongst them will cry out, "The curse of Allah is on the unjust, (Ⅱ)
- And the dwellers of the Garden cry unto the dwellers of the Fire: We have found that which our Lord promised us (to be) the Truth. Have ye (too) found that which your Lord promised the Truth ? They say: Yea, verily. And a crier in between them crieth: The curse of Allah is on evil-doers, (Ⅲ)
- The inhabitants of Paradise will call to the inhabitants of the Fire: ´We have found that. which our Lord promised us true; have you found what your Lord promised you true?´ ´Yes,´ they will say. And then a herald shall proclaim between them: ´God´s curse is on the evildoers (Ⅳ)
- The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord´s promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers;- (Ⅵ)
7. 45  
الَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ كَافِرُونَ
- Allatheena yasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi wayabghoonaha AAiwajan wahum bialakhirati kafiroona (Ⅰ)
- "Who turn (or hinder) from the way of Allah and crave to make it crooked, and disbelieved in the Last Day (or the Hereafter)." (Ⅱ)
- Who debar (men) from the path of Allah and would have it crooked, and who are disbelievers in the Last Day. (Ⅲ)
- who bar from God´s way, desiring to make it crooked, disbelieving in the world to come. (Ⅳ)
- "Those who would hinder (men) from the path of Allah and would seek in it something crooked: they were those who denied the Hereafter." (Ⅵ)
7. 46  
وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ ۚ وَعَلَى الْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلًّا بِسِيمَاهُمْ ۚ وَنَادَوْا أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَن سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ لَمْ يَدْخُلُوهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُونَ
- Wabaynahuma hijabun waAAala alaAArafi rijalun yaAArifoona kullan biseemahum wanadaw ashaba aljannati an salamun AAalaykum lam yadkhulooha wahum yatmaAAoona (Ⅰ)
- And betwixt the two (Hell and Paradise) there is a veil, and on the Heights are men (exalted or able men) who know each by their marks; and they greet the companions of the Garden, "Peace be upon you!" They enter it not though they hope (or desire, or are assured) to do so. (Ⅱ)
- Between them is a veil. And on the Heights are men who know them all by their marks. And they call unto the dwellers of the Garden: Peace be unto you! They enter it not although they hope (to enter). (Ⅲ)
- And between them is a veil, and on the Ramparts are men knowing each by their mark, who shall call to the inhabitants of Paradise: ´Peace be upon you! They have not entered it, for all their eagerness.´ (Ⅳ)
- Between them shall be a veil, and on the heights will be men who would know every one by his marks: they will call out to the Companions of the Garden, "peace on you": they will not have entered, but they will have an assurance (thereof). (Ⅵ)
7. 47  
۞ وَإِذَا صُرِفَتْ أَبْصَارُهُمْ تِلْقَاءَ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
- Waitha surifat absaruhum tilqaa ashabi alnnari qaloo rabbana la tajAAalna maAAa alqawmi alththalimeena (Ⅰ)
- But when their sight is turned towards the Companions of the Fire, they say, "Our Lord! Place us not with the unjust people." (Ⅱ)
- And when their eyes are turned toward the dwellers of the Fire, they say: Our Lord! Place us not with the wrong-doing folk. (Ⅲ)
- And when their eyes are turned towards the inhabitants of the Fire they shall say, ´Our Lord, do not Thou assign us with the people of the evildoers.´ (Ⅳ)
- When their eyes shall be turned towards the Companions of the Fire, they will say: "Our Lord! send us not to the company of the wrong-doers." (Ⅵ)
7. 48  
وَنَادَىٰ أَصْحَابُ الْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالًا يَعْرِفُونَهُم بِسِيمَاهُمْ قَالُوا مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
- Wanada ashabu alaAArafi rijalan yaAArifoonahum biseemahum qaloo ma aghna AAankum jamAAukum wama kuntum tastakbiroona (Ⅰ)
- And the Companions of the Height will call out to the men whom they know by their marks, and say, "Of what profit to you were your hoarding (of wealth), and what you were so arrogant about." (Ⅱ)
- And the dwellers on the Heights call unto men whom they know by their marks, (saying): What did your multitude and that in which ye took your pride avail you ? (Ⅲ)
- And the dwellers on the Battlements shall call to certain men they know by their sign: ´Your amassing has not availed you, neither your waxing proud. (Ⅳ)
- The men on the heights will call to certain men whom they will know from their marks, saying: "Of what profit to you were your hoards and your arrogant ways? (Ⅵ)
7. 49  
أَهَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لَا يَنَالُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ ۚ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
- Ahaolai allatheena aqsamtum la yanaluhumu Allahu birahmatin odkhuloo aljannata la khawfun AAalaykum wala antum tahzanoona (Ⅰ)
- Behold, are these others not those of whom you swore, that Allah would not extend mercy? But it is said to them "Enter you Paradise; there is no fear for you, nor shall you be grieved." (Ⅱ)
- Are these they of whom ye swore that Allah would not show them mercy ? (Unto them it hath been said): Enter the Garden. No fear shall come upon you nor is it ye who will grieve. (Ⅲ)
- Are these the ones that you swore God would never reach with mercy?´ ´Enter Paradise; no fear upon you, nor shall you sorrow. (Ⅳ)
- "Behold! are these not the men whom you swore that Allah with His Mercy would never bless? Enter ye the Garden: no fear shall be on you, nor shall ye grieve." (Ⅵ)
