22. 1  
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
- Après ces choses, Dieu mit Abraham à l'épreuve, et lui dit: Abraham! Et il répondit: Me voici! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταυ̃τα ὁ θεὸς ἐπείραζεν τὸν Αβρααμ καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν Αβρααμ Αβρααμ ὁ δὲ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ ἐγώ (Ⅲ)
- Quæ postquam gesta sunt, tentavit Deus Abraham, et dixit ad eum : Abraham, Abraham. At ille respondit : Adsum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃22  ויהי אחר הדברים האלה והאלהים נסה את אברהם ויאמר אליו אברהם ויאמר הנני ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 2  
And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
- Dieu dit: Prends ton fils, ton unique, celui que tu aimes, Isaac; va-t'en au pays de Morija, et là offre-le en holocauste sur l'une des montagnes que je te dirai. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν λαβὲ τὸν υἱόν σου τὸν ἀγαπητόν ὃν ἠγάπησας τὸν Ισαακ καὶ πορεύθητι εἰς τὴν γη̃ν τὴν ὑψηλὴν καὶ ἀνένεγκον αὐτὸν ἐκει̃ εἰς ὁλοκάρπωσιν ἐφ' ἓν τω̃ν ὀρέων ὡ̃ν ἄν σοι εἴπω (Ⅲ)
- Ait illi : Tolle filium tuum unigenitum, quem diligis, Isaac, et vade in terram visionis, atque ibi offeres eum in holocaustum super unum montium quem monstravero tibi. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃22  ויאמר קח נא את בנך‪[c]‬ את יחידך אשר אהבת את יצחק ולך לך אל ארץ המריה והעלהו שם לעלה על אחד ההרים אשר אמר אליך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 3  
And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
- Abraham se leva de bon matin, sella son âne, et prit avec lui deux serviteurs et son fils Isaac. Il fendit du bois pour l'holocauste, et partit pour aller au lieu que Dieu lui avait dit. (Ⅱ)
- ἀναστὰς δὲ Αβρααμ τὸ πρωὶ ἐπέσαξεν τὴν ὄνον αὐτου̃ παρέλαβεν δὲ μεθ' ἑαυτου̃ δύο παι̃δας καὶ Ισαακ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ σχίσας ξύλα εἰς ὁλοκάρπωσιν ἀναστὰς ἐπορεύθη καὶ ἠ̃λθεν ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον ὃν εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ὁ θεός (Ⅲ)
- Igitur Abraham de nocte consurgens, stravit asinum suum, ducens secum duos juvenes, et Isaac filium suum : cumque concidisset ligna in holocaustum, abiit ad locum quem præceperat ei Deus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃22  וישכם אברהם בבקר ויחבש את חמרו ויקח את שני נעריו אתו ואת יצחק בנו ויבקע עצי עלה ויקם וילך אל המקום אשר אמר לו האלהים ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 4  
Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
- Le troisième jour, Abraham, levant les yeux, vit le lieu de loin. (Ⅱ)
- τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ τη̨̃ τρίτη̨ καὶ ἀναβλέψας Αβρααμ τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς εἰ̃δεν τὸν τόπον μακρόθεν (Ⅲ)
- Die autem tertio, elevatis oculis, vidit locum procul : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃22  ביום השלישי וישא אברהם את עיניו וירא את המקום מרחק ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 5  
And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
- Et Abraham dit à ses serviteurs: Restez ici avec l'âne; moi et le jeune homme, nous irons jusque-là pour adorer, et nous reviendrons auprès de vous. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αβρααμ τοι̃ς παισὶν αὐτου̃ καθίσατε αὐτου̃ μετὰ τη̃ς ὄνου ἐγὼ δὲ καὶ τὸ παιδάριον διελευσόμεθα ἕως ὡ̃δε καὶ προσκυνήσαντες ἀναστρέψωμεν πρὸς ὑμα̃ς (Ⅲ)
- dixitque ad pueros suos : Expectate hic cum asino : ego et puer illuc usque properantes, postquam adoraverimus, revertemur ad vos. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃22  ויאמר אברהם אל נעריו שבו לכם פה עם החמור ואני והנער נלכה עד כה ונשתחוה ונשובה אליכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 6  
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
- Abraham prit le bois pour l'holocauste, le chargea sur son fils Isaac, et porta dans sa main le feu et le couteau. Et il marchèrent tous deux ensemble. (Ⅱ)
- ἔλαβεν δὲ Αβρααμ τὰ ξύλα τη̃ς ὁλοκαρπώσεως καὶ ἐπέθηκεν Ισαακ τω̨̃ υἱω̨̃ αὐτου̃ ἔλαβεν δὲ καὶ τὸ πυ̃ρ μετὰ χει̃ρα καὶ τὴν μάχαιραν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ δύο ἅμα (Ⅲ)
- Tulit quoque ligna holocausti, et imposuit super Isaac filium suum : ipse vero portabat in manibus ignem et gladium. Cumque duo pergerent simul, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃22  ויקח אברהם את עצי העלה וישם על יצחק בנו ויקח בידו את האש ואת המאכלת וילכו שניהם יחדו ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 7  
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
- Alors Isaac, parlant à Abraham, son père, dit: Mon père! Et il répondit: Me voici, mon fils! Isaac reprit: Voici le feu et le bois; mais où est l'agneau pour l'holocauste? (Ⅱ)
- εἰ̃πεν δὲ Ισαακ πρὸς Αβρααμ τὸν πατέρα αὐτου̃ εἴπας πάτερ ὁ δὲ εἰ̃πεν τί ἐστιν τέκνον λέγων ἰδοὺ τὸ πυ̃ρ καὶ τὰ ξύλα που̃ ἐστιν τὸ πρόβατον τὸ εἰς ὁλοκάρπωσιν (Ⅲ)
- dixit Isaac patri suo : Pater mi. At ille respondit : Quid vis, fili ? Ecce, inquit, ignis et ligna : ubi est victima holocausti ? (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃22  ויאמר יצחק אל אברהם אביו ויאמר אבי ויאמר הנני בני ויאמר הנה האש והעצים ואיה השה לעלה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 8  
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
- Abraham répondit: Mon fils, Dieu se pourvoira lui-même de l'agneau pour l'holocauste. Et ils marchèrent tous deux ensemble. (Ⅱ)
- εἰ̃πεν δὲ Αβρααμ ὁ θεὸς ὄψεται ἑαυτω̨̃ πρόβατον εἰς ὁλοκάρπωσιν τέκνον πορευθέντες δὲ ἀμφότεροι ἅμα (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem Abraham : Deus providebit sibi victimam holocausti, fili mi. Pergebant ergo pariter. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃22  ויאמר אברהם אלהים יראה לו השה לעלה בני וילכו שניהם יחדו ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 9  
And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
- Lorsqu'ils furent arrivés au lieu que Dieu lui avait dit, Abraham y éleva un autel, et rangea le bois. Il lia son fils Isaac, et le mit sur l'autel, par-dessus le bois. (Ⅱ)
- ἠ̃λθον ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον ὃν εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ὁ θεός καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν ἐκει̃ Αβρααμ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰ ξύλα καὶ συμποδίσας Ισαακ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτου̃ ἐπέθηκεν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐπάνω τω̃ν ξύλων (Ⅲ)
- Et venerunt ad locum quem ostenderat ei Deus, in quo ædificavit altare, et desuper ligna composuit ; cumque alligasset Isaac filium suum, posuit eum in altare super struem lignorum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃22  ויבאו אל המקום אשר אמר לו האלהים ויבן שם אברהם את המזבח ויערך את העצים ויעקד את יצחק בנו וישם אתו על המזבח ממעל לעצים ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 10  
And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
- Puis Abraham étendit la main, et prit le couteau, pour égorger son fils. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐξέτεινεν Αβρααμ τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ λαβει̃ν τὴν μάχαιραν σφάξαι τὸν υἱὸν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Extenditque manum, et arripuit gladium, ut immolaret filium suum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃22  וישלח אברהם את ידו ויקח את המאכלת לשחט את בנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 11  
And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
- Alors l'ange de l'Éternel l'appela des cieux, et dit: Abraham! Abraham! Et il répondit: Me voici! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὸν ἄγγελος κυρίου ἐκ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Αβρααμ Αβρααμ ὁ δὲ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ ἐγώ (Ⅲ)
- Et ecce angelus Domini de cælo clamavit, dicens : Abraham, Abraham. Qui respondit : Adsum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃22  ויקרא אליו מלאך יהוה מן השמים ויאמר אברהם אברהם ויאמר הנני ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 12  
And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
- L'ange dit: N'avance pas ta main sur l'enfant, et ne lui fais rien; car je sais maintenant que tu crains Dieu, et que tu ne m'as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν μὴ ἐπιβάλη̨ς τὴν χει̃ρά σου ἐπὶ τὸ παιδάριον μηδὲ ποιήση̨ς αὐτω̨̃ μηδέν νυ̃ν γὰρ ἔγνων ὅτι φοβη̨̃ τὸν θεὸν σὺ καὶ οὐκ ἐφείσω του̃ υἱου̃ σου του̃ ἀγαπητου̃ δι' ἐμέ (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque ei : Non extendas manum tuam super puerum, neque facias illi quidquam : nunc cognovi quod times Deum, et non pepercisti unigenito filio tuo propter me. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃22  ויאמר אל תשלח ידך אל הנער ואל תעש לו מאומה‪[1]‬ כי עתה ידעתי כי ירא אלהים אתה ולא חשכת את בנך את יחידך ממני ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 13  
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
- Abraham leva les yeux, et vit derrière lui un bélier retenu dans un buisson par les cornes; et Abraham alla prendre le bélier, et l'offrit en holocauste à la place de son fils. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀναβλέψας Αβρααμ τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς αὐτου̃ εἰ̃δεν καὶ ἰδοὺ κριὸς εἱ̃ς κατεχόμενος ἐν φυτω̨̃ σαβεκ τω̃ν κεράτων καὶ ἐπορεύθη Αβρααμ καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸν κριὸν καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν αὐτὸν εἰς ὁλοκάρπωσιν ἀντὶ Ισαακ του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Levavit Abraham oculos suos, viditque post tergum arietem inter vepres hærentem cornibus, quem assumens obtulit holocaustum pro filio. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃22  וישא אברהם את עיניו וירא והנה איל אחר נאחז בסבך בקרניו וילך אברהם ויקח את האיל ויעלהו לעלה תחת בנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 14  
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
- Abraham donna à ce lieu le nom de Jehova Jiré. C'est pourquoi l'on dit aujourd'hui: A la montagne de l'Éternel il sera pourvu. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Αβρααμ τὸ ὄνομα του̃ τόπου ἐκείνου κύριος εἰ̃δεν ἵνα εἴπωσιν σήμερον ἐν τω̨̃ ὄρει κύριος ὤφθη (Ⅲ)
- Appellavitque nomen loci illius, Dominus videt. Unde usque hodie dicitur : In monte Dominus videbit.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃22  ויקרא אברהם שם המקום ההוא יהוה יראה אשר יאמר היום בהר יהוה יראה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 15  
And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
- L'ange de l'Éternel appela une seconde fois Abraham des cieux, (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ἄγγελος κυρίου τὸν Αβρααμ δεύτερον ἐκ του̃ οὐρανου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Vocavit autem angelus Domini Abraham secundo de cælo, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃22  ויקרא מלאך יהוה אל אברהם שנית מן השמים ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 16  
And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
- et dit: Je le jure par moi-même, parole de l'Éternel! parce que tu as fais cela, et que tu n'as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique, (Ⅱ)
- λέγων κατ' ἐμαυτου̃ ὤμοσα λέγει κύριος οὑ̃ εἵνεκεν ἐποίησας τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το καὶ οὐκ ἐφείσω του̃ υἱου̃ σου του̃ ἀγαπητου̃ δι' ἐμέ (Ⅲ)
- Per memetipsum juravi, dicit Dominus : quia fecisti hanc rem, et non pepercisti filio tuo unigenito propter me : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃22  ויאמר בי נשבעתי נאם יהוה כי יען אשר עשית את הדבר הזה ולא חשכת את בנך את יחידך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 17  
That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
- je te bénirai et je multiplierai ta postérité, comme les étoiles du ciel et comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer; et ta postérité possédera la porte de ses ennemis. (Ⅱ)
- ἠ̃ μὴν εὐλογω̃ν εὐλογήσω σε καὶ πληθύνων πληθυνω̃ τὸ σπέρμα σου ὡς τοὺς ἀστέρας του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ὡς τὴν ἄμμον τὴν παρὰ τὸ χει̃λος τη̃ς θαλάσσης καὶ κληρονομήσει τὸ σπέρμα σου τὰς πόλεις τω̃ν ὑπεναντίων (Ⅲ)
- benedicam tibi, et multiplicabo semen tuum sicut stellas cæli, et velut arenam quæ est in littore maris : possidebit semen tuum portas inimicorum suorum, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃22  כי ברך אברכך והרבה ארבה את זרעך ככוכבי השמים וכחול אשר על שפת הים וירש זרעך את שער איביו ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 18  
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
- Toutes les nations de la terre seront bénies en ta postérité, parce que tu as obéi à ma voix. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐνευλογηθήσονται ἐν τω̨̃ σπέρματί σου πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τη̃ς γη̃ς ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ὑπήκουσας τη̃ς ἐμη̃ς φωνη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- et benedicentur in semine tuo omnes gentes terræ, quia obedisti voci meæ. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃22  והתברכו בזרעך כל גויי הארץ עקב אשר שמעת בקלי ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 19  
So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
- Abraham étant retourné vers ses serviteurs, ils se levèrent et s'en allèrent ensemble à Beer Schéba; car Abraham demeurait à Beer Schéba. (Ⅱ)
- ἀπεστράφη δὲ Αβρααμ πρὸς τοὺς παι̃δας αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀναστάντες ἐπορεύθησαν ἅμα ἐπὶ τὸ φρέαρ του̃ ὅρκου καὶ κατώ̨κησεν Αβρααμ ἐπὶ τω̨̃ φρέατι του̃ ὅρκου (Ⅲ)
- Reversus est Abraham ad pueros suos, abieruntque Bersabee simul, et habitavit ibi.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃22  וישב אברהם אל נעריו ויקמו וילכו יחדו אל באר שבע וישב אברהם בבאר שבע פ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 20  
And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;
- Après ces choses, on fit à Abraham un rapport, en disant: Voici, Milca a aussi enfanté des fils à Nachor, ton frère: (Ⅱ)
- ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταυ̃τα καὶ ἀνηγγέλη τω̨̃ Αβρααμ λέγοντες ἰδοὺ τέτοκεν Μελχα καὶ αὐτὴ υἱοὺς Ναχωρ τω̨̃ ἀδελφω̨̃ σου (Ⅲ)
- His ita gestis, nuntiatum est Abrahæ quod Melcha quoque genuisset filios Nachor fratri suo : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃22  ויהי אחרי הדברים האלה ויגד לאברהם לאמר הנה ילדה מלכה גם הוא בנים לנחור אחיך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 21  
Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
- Uts, son premier-né, Buz, son frère, Kemuel, père d'Aram, (Ⅱ)
- τὸν Ωξ πρωτότοκον καὶ τὸν Βαυξ ἀδελφὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ τὸν Καμουηλ πατέρα Σύρων (Ⅲ)
- Hus primogenitum, et Buz fratrem ejus, et Camuel patrem Syrorum, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃22  את עוץ בכרו ואת בוז אחיו ואת קמואל אבי ארם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 22  
And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
- Késed, Hazo, Pildasch, Jidlaph et Bethuel. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τὸν Χασαδ καὶ τὸν Αζαυ καὶ τὸν Φαλδας καὶ τὸν Ιεδλαφ καὶ τὸν Βαθουηλ (Ⅲ)
- et Cased, et Azau, Pheldas quoque et Jedlaph, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃22  ואת כשד ואת חזו ואת פלדש ואת ידלף ואת בתואל ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 23  
And Bethuel begat Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
- Bethuel a engendré Rebecca. Ce sont là les huit fils que Milca a enfantés à Nachor, frère d'Abraham. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ Βαθουηλ ἐγέννησεν τὴν Ρεβεκκαν ὀκτὼ οὑ̃τοι υἱοί οὓς ἔτεκεν Μελχα τω̨̃ Ναχωρ τω̨̃ ἀδελφω̨̃ Αβρααμ (Ⅲ)
- ac Bathuel, de quo nata est Rebecca : octo istos genuit Melcha, Nachor fratri Abrahæ. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃22  ובתואל ילד את רבקה שמנה אלה ילדה מלכה לנחור אחי אברהם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 24  
And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.
- Sa concubine, nommée Réuma, a aussi enfanté Thébach, Gaham, Tahasch et Maaca. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἡ παλλακὴ αὐτου̃ ἡ̨̃ ὄνομα Ρεημα ἔτεκεν καὶ αὐτὴ τὸν Ταβεκ καὶ τὸν Γααμ καὶ τὸν Τοχος καὶ τὸν Μωχα (Ⅲ)
- Concubina vero illius, nomine Roma, peperit Tabee, et Gaham, et Thahas, et Maacha. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃22  ופילגשו ושמה ראומה ותלד גם הוא את טבח ואת גחם ואת תחש ואת מעכה ס‬ (Ⅴ)
