47. 1

Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.

- Joseph alla avertir Pharaon, et lui dit: Mes frères et mon père sont arrivés du pays de Canaan, avec leurs brebis et leurs boeufs, et tout ce qui leur appartient; et les voici dans le pays de Gosen. (Ⅱ)

- ἐλθὼν δὲ Ιωσηφ ἀπήγγειλεν τω̨̃ Φαραω λέγων ὁ πατήρ μου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου καὶ τὰ κτήνη καὶ οἱ βόες αὐτω̃ν καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτω̃ν ἠ̃λθον ἐκ γη̃ς Χανααν καὶ ἰδού εἰσιν ἐν γη̨̃ Γεσεμ (Ⅲ)

- Ingressus ergo Joseph nuntiavit Pharaoni, dicens : Pater meus et fratres, oves eorum et armenta, et cuncta quæ possident, venerunt de terra Chanaan : et ecce consistunt in terra Gessen. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃47 ויבא יוסף ויגד לפרעה ויאמר אבי ואחי וצאנם ובקרם וכל אשר להם באו מארץ כנען והנם בארץ גשן ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 2

And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh.

- Il prit cinq de ses frères, et les présenta à Pharaon. (Ⅱ)

- ἀπὸ δὲ τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν αὐτου̃ παρέλαβεν πέντε ἄνδρας καὶ ἔστησεν αὐτοὺς ἐναντίον Φαραω (Ⅲ)

- Extremos quoque fratrum suorum quinque viros constituit coram rege : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃47 ומקצה אחיו לקח חמשה אנשים ויצגם לפני פרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 3

And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers.

- Pharaon leur dit: Quelle est votre occupation? Ils répondirent à Pharaon: Tes serviteurs sont bergers, comme l'étaient nos pères. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Φαραω τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς Ιωσηφ τί τὸ ἔργον ὑμω̃ν οἱ δὲ εἰ̃παν τω̨̃ Φαραω ποιμένες προβάτων οἱ παι̃δές σου καὶ ἡμει̃ς καὶ οἱ πατέρες ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- quos ille interrogavit : Quid habetis operis ? Responderunt : Pastores ovium sumus servi tui, et nos et patres nostri. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃47 ויאמר פרעה אל אחיו מה מעשיכם ויאמרו אל פרעה רעה צאן עבדיך גם אנחנו גם אבותינו ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 4

They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.

- Ils dirent encore à Pharaon: Nous sommes venus pour séjourner dans le pays, parce qu'il n'y a plus de pâturage pour les brebis de tes serviteurs, car la famine s'appesantit sur le pays de Canaan; permets donc à tes serviteurs d'habiter au pays de Gosen. (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃παν δὲ τω̨̃ Φαραω παροικει̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ἥκαμεν οὐ γάρ ἐστιν νομὴ τοι̃ς κτήνεσιν τω̃ν παίδων σου ἐνίσχυσεν γὰρ ὁ λιμὸς ἐν γη̨̃ Χανααν νυ̃ν οὐ̃ν κατοικήσομεν οἱ παι̃δές σου ἐν γη̨̃ Γεσεμ (Ⅲ)

- Ad peregrinandum in terra tua venimus : quoniam non est herba gregibus servorum tuorum, ingravescente fame in terra Chanaan : petimusque ut esse nos jubeas servos tuos in terra Gessen. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃47 ויאמרו אל פרעה לגור בארץ באנו כי אין מרעה לצאן אשר לעבדיך כי כבד הרעב בארץ כנען ועתה ישבו נא עבדיך בארץ גשן ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 5

And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee:

- Pharaon dit à Joseph: Ton père et tes frères sont venus auprès de toi. (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ Φαραω τω̨̃ Ιωσφη κατοικείτωσαν ἐν γη̨̃ Γεσεμ εἰ δὲ ἐπίστη̨ ὅτι εἰσὶν ἐν αὐτοι̃ς ἄνδρες δυνατοί κατάστησον αὐτοὺς ἄρχοντας τω̃ν ἐμω̃ν κτηνω̃ν ἠ̃λθον δὲ εἰς Αἴγυπτον πρὸς Ιωσηφ Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἤκουσεν Φαραω βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου καὶ εἰ̃πεν Φαραω πρὸς Ιωσηφ λέγων ὁ πατήρ σου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί σου ἥκασι πρὸς σέ (Ⅲ)

- Dixit itaque rex ad Joseph : Pater tuus et fratres tui venerunt ad te. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃47 ויאמר פרעה אל יוסף לאמר אביך ואחיך באו אליך ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 6

The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.

- Le pays d'Égypte est devant toi; établis ton père et tes frères dans la meilleure partie du pays. Qu'ils habitent dans le pays de Gosen; et, si tu trouves parmi eux des hommes capables, mets-les à la tête de mes troupeaux. (Ⅱ)

- ἰδοὺ ἡ γη̃ Αἰγύπτου ἐναντίον σού ἐστιν ἐν τη̨̃ βελτίστη̨ γη̨̃ κατοίκισον τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου (Ⅲ)

- Terra Ægypti in conspectu tuo est : in optimo loco fac eos habitare, et trade eis terram Gessen. Quod si nosti in eis esse viros industrios, constitue illos magistros pecorum meorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃47 ארץ מצרים לפניך הוא במיטב הארץ הושב את אביך ואת אחיך ישבו בארץ גשן ואם ידעת ויש בם אנשי חיל ושמתם שרי מקנה על אשר לי ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 7

And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

- Joseph fit venir Jacob, son père, et le présenta à Pharaon. Et Jacob bénit Pharaon. (Ⅱ)

- εἰσήγαγεν δὲ Ιωσηφ Ιακωβ τὸν πατέρα αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔστησεν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ εὐλόγησεν Ιακωβ τὸν Φαραω (Ⅲ)

- Post hæc introduxit Joseph patrem suum ad regem, et statuit eum coram eo : qui benedicens illi, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃47 ויבא יוסף את יעקב אביו ויעמדהו לפני פרעה ויברך יעקב את פרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 8

And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou?

- Pharaon dit à Jacob: Quel est le nombre de jours des années de ta vie? (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ Φαραω τω̨̃ Ιακωβ πόσα ἔτη ἡμερω̃ν τη̃ς ζωη̃ς σου (Ⅲ)

- et interrogatus ab eo : Quot sunt dies annorum vitæ tuæ ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃47 ויאמר פרעה אל יעקב כמה ימי שני חייך ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 9

And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.

- Jacob répondit à Pharaon: Les jours des années de mon pèlerinage sont de cent trente ans. Les jours des années de ma vie ont été peu nombreux et mauvais, et ils n'ont point atteint les jours des années de la vie de mes pères durant leur pèlerinage. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ιακωβ τω̨̃ Φαραω αἱ ἡμέραι τω̃ν ἐτω̃ν τη̃ς ζωη̃ς μου ἃς παροικω̃ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἔτη μικραὶ καὶ πονηραὶ γεγόνασιν αἱ ἡμέραι τω̃ν ἐτω̃ν τη̃ς ζωη̃ς μου οὐκ ἀφίκοντο εἰς τὰς ἡμέρας τω̃ν ἐτω̃ν τη̃ς ζωη̃ς τω̃ν πατέρων μου ἃς ἡμέρας παρώ̨κησαν (Ⅲ)

- respondit : Dies peregrinationis meæ centum triginta annorum sunt, parvi et mali, et non pervenerunt usque ad dies patrum meorum quibus peregrinati sunt. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃47 ויאמר יעקב אל פרעה ימי שני מגורי שלשים ומאת שנה מעט ורעים היו ימי שני חיי ולא השיגו את ימי שני חיי אבתי בימי מגוריהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 10

And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.

- Jacob bénit encore Pharaon, et se retira de devant Pharaon. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εὐλογήσας Ιακωβ τὸν Φαραω ἐξη̃λθεν ἀπ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et benedicto rege, egressus est foras. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃47 ויברך יעקב את פרעה ויצא מלפני פרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 11

And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.

- Joseph établit son père et ses frères, et leur donna une propriété dans le pays d'Égypte, dans la meilleure partie du pays, dans la contrée de Ramsès, comme Pharaon l'avait ordonné. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ κατώ̨κισεν Ιωσηφ τὸν πατέρα καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοι̃ς κατάσχεσιν ἐν γη̨̃ Αἰγύπτου ἐν τη̨̃ βελτίστη̨ γη̨̃ ἐν γη̨̃ Ραμεσση καθὰ προσέταξεν Φαραω (Ⅲ)

- Joseph vero patri et fratribus suis dedit possessionem in Ægypto in optimo terræ loco, Ramesses, ut præceperat Pharao. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃47 ויושב יוסף את אביו ואת אחיו ויתן להם אחזה בארץ מצרים במיטב הארץ בארץ רעמסס כאשר צוה פרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 12

And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families.

- Joseph fournit du pain à son père et à ses frères, et à toute la famille de son père, selon le nombre des enfants. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐσιτομέτρει Ιωσηφ τω̨̃ πατρὶ καὶ τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτου̃ καὶ παντὶ τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ σι̃τον κατὰ σω̃μα (Ⅲ)

- Et alebat eos, omnemque domum patris sui, præbens cibaria singulis.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃47 ויכלכל יוסף את אביו ואת אחיו ואת כל בית אביו לחם לפי הטף ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 13

And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.

- Il n'y avait plus de pain dans tout le pays, car la famine était très grande; le pays d'Égypte et le pays de Canaan languissaient, à cause de la famine. (Ⅱ)

- σι̃τος δὲ οὐκ ἠ̃ν ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ἐνίσχυσεν γὰρ ὁ λιμὸς σφόδρα ἐξέλιπεν δὲ ἡ γη̃ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἡ γη̃ Χανααν ἀπὸ του̃ λιμου̃ (Ⅲ)

- In toto enim orbe panis deerat, et oppresserat fames terram, maxime Ægypti et Chanaan. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃47 ולחם אין בכל הארץ כי כבד הרעב מאד ותלה ארץ מצרים וארץ כנען מפני הרעב ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 14

And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.

- Joseph recueillit tout l'argent qui se trouvait dans le pays d'Égypte et dans le pays de Canaan, contre le blé qu'on achetait; et il fit entrer cet argent dans la maison de Pharaon. (Ⅱ)

- συνήγαγεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πα̃ν τὸ ἀργύριον τὸ εὑρεθὲν ἐν γη̨̃ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐν γη̨̃ Χανααν του̃ σίτου οὑ̃ ἠγόραζον καὶ ἐσιτομέτρει αὐτοι̃ς καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν Ιωσηφ πα̃ν τὸ ἀργύριον εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον Φαραω (Ⅲ)

- E quibus omnem pecuniam congregavit pro venditione frumenti, et intulit eam in ærarium regis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃47 וילקט יוסף את כל הכסף הנמצא בארץ מצרים ובארץ כנען בשבר אשר הם שברים ויבא יוסף את הכסף ביתה פרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 15

And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.

- Quand l'argent du pays d'Égypte et du pays de Canaan fut épuisé, tous les Égyptiens vinrent à Joseph, en disant: Donne-nous du pain! Pourquoi mourrions-nous en ta présence? car l'argent manque. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξέλιπεν πα̃ν τὸ ἀργύριον ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐκ γη̃ς Χανααν ἠ̃λθον δὲ πάντες οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι πρὸς Ιωσηφ λέγοντες δὸς ἡμι̃ν ἄρτους καὶ ἵνα τί ἀποθνή̨σκομεν ἐναντίον σου ἐκλέλοιπεν γὰρ τὸ ἀργύριον ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque defecisset emptoribus pretium, venit cuncta Ægyptus ad Joseph, dicens : Da nobis panes : quare morimur coram te, deficiente pecunia ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃47 ויתם הכסף מארץ מצרים ומארץ כנען ויבאו כל מצרים אל יוסף לאמר הבה לנו לחם ולמה נמות נגדך כי אפס כסף ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 16

And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail.

- Joseph dit: Donnez vos troupeaux, et je vous donnerai du pain contre vos troupeaux, si l'argent manque. (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ αὐτοι̃ς Ιωσηφ φέρετε τὰ κτήνη ὑμω̃ν καὶ δώσω ὑμι̃ν ἄρτους ἀντὶ τω̃ν κτηνω̃ν ὑμω̃ν εἰ ἐκλέλοιπεν τὸ ἀργύριον (Ⅲ)

- Quibus ille respondit : Adducite pecora vestra, et dabo vobis pro eis cibos, si pretium non habetis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃47 ויאמר יוסף הבו מקניכם ואתנה לכם במקניכם אם אפס כסף ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 17

And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.

- Ils amenèrent leurs troupeaux à Joseph, et Joseph leur donna du pain contre les chevaux, contre les troupeaux de brebis et de boeufs, et contre les ânes. Il leur fournit ainsi du pain cette année-là contre tous leurs troupeaux. (Ⅱ)

- ἤγαγον δὲ τὰ κτήνη πρὸς Ιωσηφ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοι̃ς Ιωσηφ ἄρτους ἀντὶ τω̃ν ἵππων καὶ ἀντὶ τω̃ν προβάτων καὶ ἀντὶ τω̃ν βοω̃ν καὶ ἀντὶ τω̃ν ὄνων καὶ ἐξέθρεψεν αὐτοὺς ἐν ἄρτοις ἀντὶ πάντων τω̃ν κτηνω̃ν αὐτω̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ ἐνιαυτω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Quæ cum adduxissent, dedit eis alimenta pro equis, et ovibus, et bobus, et asinis : sustentavitque eos illo anno pro commutatione pecorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃47 ויביאו את מקניהם אל יוסף ויתן להם יוסף לחם בסוסים ובמקנה הצאן ובמקנה הבקר ובחמרים וינהלם בלחם בכל מקנהם בשנה ההוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 18

When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:

- Lorsque cette année fut écoulée, ils vinrent à Joseph l'année suivante, et lui dirent: Nous ne cacherons point à mon seigneur que l'argent est épuisé, et que les troupeaux de bétail ont été amenés à mon seigneur; il ne reste devant mon seigneur que nos corps et nos terres. (Ⅱ)

- ἐξη̃λθεν δὲ τὸ ἔτος ἐκει̃νο καὶ ἠ̃λθον πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐν τω̨̃ ἔτει τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ καὶ εἰ̃παν αὐτω̨̃ μήποτε ἐκτριβω̃μεν ἀπὸ του̃ κυρίου ἡμω̃ν εἰ γὰρ ἐκλέλοιπεν τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ τὰ ὑπάρχοντα καὶ τὰ κτήνη πρὸς σὲ τὸν κύριον καὶ οὐχ ὑπολείπεται ἡμι̃ν ἐναντίον του̃ κυρίου ἡμω̃ν ἀλλ' ἢ τὸ ἴδιον σω̃μα καὶ ἡ γη̃ ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Venerunt quoque anno secundo, et dixerunt ei : Non celabimus dominum nostrum quod deficiente pecunia, pecora simul defecerunt : nec clam te est, quod absque corporibus et terra nihil habeamus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃47 ותתם השנה ההוא ויבאו אליו בשנה השנית ויאמרו לו לא נכחד מאדני כי אם תם הכסף ומקנה הבהמה אל אדני לא נשאר לפני אדני בלתי אם גויתנו ואדמתנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 19

Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.

- Pourquoi mourrions-nous sous tes yeux, nous et nos terres? Achète-nous avec nos terres contre du pain, et nous appartiendrons à mon seigneur, nous et nos terres. Donne-nous de quoi semer, afin que nous vivions et que nous ne mourions pas, et que nos terres ne soient pas désolées. (Ⅱ)

- ἵνα οὐ̃ν μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν ἐναντίον σου καὶ ἡ γη̃ ἐρημωθη̨̃ κτη̃σαι ἡμα̃ς καὶ τὴν γη̃ν ἡμω̃ν ἀντὶ ἄρτων καὶ ἐσόμεθα ἡμει̃ς καὶ ἡ γη̃ ἡμω̃ν παι̃δες Φαραω δὸς σπέρμα ἵνα σπείρωμεν καὶ ζω̃μεν καὶ μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν καὶ ἡ γη̃ οὐκ ἐρημωθήσεται (Ⅲ)

- Cur ergo moriemur te vidente ? et nos et terra nostra tui erimus : eme nos in servitutem regiam, et præbe semina, ne pereunte cultore redigatur terra in solitudinem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃47 למה נמות לעיניך גם אנחנו גם אדמתנו קנה אתנו ואת אדמתנו בלחם ונהיה אנחנו ואדמתנו עבדים לפרעה ותן זרע ונחיה ולא נמות והאדמה לא תשם ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 20

And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.

- Joseph acheta toutes les terres de l'Égypte pour Pharaon; car les Égyptiens vendirent chacun leur champ, parce que la famine les pressait. Et le pays devint la propriété de Pharaon. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκτήσατο Ιωσηφ πα̃σαν τὴν γη̃ν τω̃ν Αἰγυπτίων τω̨̃ Φαραω ἀπέδοντο γὰρ οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι τὴν γη̃ν αὐτω̃ν τω̨̃ Φαραω ἐπεκράτησεν γὰρ αὐτω̃ν ὁ λιμός καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ γη̃ Φαραω (Ⅲ)

- Emit igitur Joseph omnem terram Ægypti, vendentibus singulis possessiones suas præ magnitudine famis. Subjecitque eam Pharaoni, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃47 ויקן יוסף את כל אדמת מצרים לפרעה כי מכרו מצרים איש שדהו כי חזק עלהם הרעב ותהי הארץ לפרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 21

And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.

- Il fit passer le peuple dans les villes, d'un bout à l'autre des frontières de l'Égypte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸν λαὸν κατεδουλώσατο αὐτω̨̃ εἰς παι̃δας ἀπ' ἄκρων ὁρίων Αἰγύπτου ἕως τω̃ν ἄκρων (Ⅲ)

- et cunctos populos ejus a novissimis terminis Ægypti usque ad extremos fines ejus, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃47 ואת העם העביר אתו לערים מקצה גבול מצרים ועד קצהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 22

Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.

- Seulement, il n'acheta point les terres des prêtres, parce qu'il y avait une loi de Pharaon en faveur des prêtres, qui vivaient du revenu que leur assurait Pharaon: c'est pourquoi ils ne vendirent point leurs terres. (Ⅱ)

- χωρὶς τη̃ς γη̃ς τω̃ν ἱερέων μόνον οὐκ ἐκτήσατο ταύτην Ιωσηφ ἐν δόσει γὰρ ἔδωκεν δόμα τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σιν Φαραω καὶ ἤσθιον τὴν δόσιν ἣν ἔδωκεν αὐτοι̃ς Φαραω διὰ του̃το οὐκ ἀπέδοντο τὴν γη̃ν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- præter terram sacerdotum, quæ a rege tradita fuerat eis : quibus et statuta cibaria ex horreis publicis præbebantur, et idcirco non sunt compulsi vendere possessiones suas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃47 רק אדמת הכהנים לא קנה כי חק לכהנים מאת פרעה ואכלו את חקם אשר נתן להם פרעה על כן לא מכרו את אדמתם ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 23

Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.

- Joseph dit au peuple: Je vous ai achetés aujourd'hui avec vos terres, pour Pharaon; voici pour vous de la semence, et vous pourrez ensemencer le sol. (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πα̃σι τοι̃ς Αἰγυπτίοις ἰδοὺ κέκτημαι ὑμα̃ς καὶ τὴν γη̃ν ὑμω̃ν σήμερον τω̨̃ Φαραω λάβετε ἑαυτοι̃ς σπέρμα καὶ σπείρατε τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Dixit ergo Joseph ad populos : En ut cernitis, et vos et terram vestram Pharao possidet : accipite semina, et serite agros, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃47 ויאמר יוסף אל העם הן קניתי אתכם היום ואת אדמתכם לפרעה הא לכם זרע וזרעתם את האדמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 24

And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.

- A la récolte, vous donnerez un cinquième à Pharaon, et vous aurez les quatre autres parties, pour ensemencer les champs, et pour vous nourrir avec vos enfants et ceux qui sont dans vos maisons. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔσται τὰ γενήματα αὐτη̃ς δώσετε τὸ πέμπτον μέρος τω̨̃ Φαραω τὰ δὲ τέσσαρα μέρη ἔσται ὑμι̃ν αὐτοι̃ς εἰς σπέρμα τη̨̃ γη̨̃ καὶ εἰς βρω̃σιν ὑμι̃ν καὶ πα̃σιν τοι̃ς ἐν τοι̃ς οἴκοις ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- ut fruges habere possitis. Quintam partem regi dabitis : quatuor reliquas permitto vobis in sementem, et in cibum familiis et liberis vestris. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃47 והיה בתבואת ונתתם חמישית לפרעה וארבע הידת יהיה לכם לזרע השדה ולאכלכם ולאשר בבתיכם ולאכל לטפכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 25

And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants.

- Ils dirent: Tu nous sauves la vie! que nous trouvions grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur, et nous serons esclaves de Pharaon. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃παν σέσωκας ἡμα̃ς εὕρομεν χάριν ἐναντίον του̃ κυρίου ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἐσόμεθα παι̃δες Φαραω (Ⅲ)

- Qui responderunt : Salus nostra in manu tua est : respiciat nos tantum dominus noster, et læti serviemus regi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃47 ויאמרו החיתנו נמצא חן בעיני אדני והיינו עבדים לפרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 26

And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part, except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh's.

- Joseph fit de cela une loi, qui a subsisté jusqu'à ce jour, et d'après laquelle un cinquième du revenu des terres de l'Égypte appartient à Pharaon; il n'y a que les terres des prêtres qui ne soient point à Pharaon. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔθετο αὐτοι̃ς Ιωσηφ εἰς πρόσταγμα ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης ἐπὶ γη̃ν Αἰγύπτου τω̨̃ Φαραω ἀποπεμπτου̃ν χωρὶς τη̃ς γη̃ς τω̃ν ἱερέων μόνον οὐκ ἠ̃ν τω̨̃ Φαραω (Ⅲ)

- Ex eo tempore usque in præsentem diem, in universa terra Ægypti regibus quinta pars solvitur, et factum est quasi in legem, absque terra sacerdotali, quæ libera ab hac conditione fuit.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃47 וישם אתה יוסף לחק עד היום הזה על אדמת מצרים לפרעה לחמש רק אדמת הכהנים לבדם לא היתה לפרעה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 27

And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.

- Israël habita dans le pays d'Égypte, dans le pays de Gosen. Ils eurent des possessions, ils furent féconds et multiplièrent beaucoup. (Ⅱ)

- κατώ̨κησεν δὲ Ισραηλ ἐν γη̨̃ Αἰγύπτω̨ ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς Γεσεμ καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς καὶ ηὐξήθησαν καὶ ἐπληθύνθησαν σφόδρα (Ⅲ)

- Habitavit ergo Israël in Ægypto, id est, in terra Gessen, et possedit eam : auctusque est, et multiplicatus nimis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃47 וישב ישראל בארץ מצרים בארץ גשן ויאחזו בה ויפרו וירבו מאד ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 28

And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years.

- Jacob vécut dix-sept ans dans le pays d'Égypte; et les jours des années de la vie de Jacob furent de cent quarante-sept ans. (Ⅱ)

- ἐπέζησεν δὲ Ιακωβ ἐν γη̨̃ Αἰγύπτω̨ δέκα ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἐγένοντο δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι Ιακωβ ἐνιαυτω̃ν τη̃ς ζωη̃ς αὐτου̃ ἑκατὸν τεσσαράκοντα ἑπτὰ ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Et vixit in ea decem et septem annis : factique sunt omnes dies vitæ illius, centum quadraginta septem annorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃47 ויחי יעקב בארץ מצרים שבע עשרה שנה ויהי ימי יעקב שני חייו שבע שנים וארבעים ומאת שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 29

And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:

- Lorsqu'Israël approcha du moment de sa mort, il appela son fils Joseph, et lui dit: Si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, mets, je te prie, ta main sous ma cuisse, et use envers moi de bonté et de fidélité: ne m'enterre pas en Égypte! (Ⅱ)

- ἤγγισαν δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι Ισραηλ του̃ ἀποθανει̃ν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτου̃ Ιωσηφ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ εἰ εὕρηκα χάριν ἐναντίον σου ὑπόθες τὴν χει̃ρά σου ὑπὸ τὸν μηρόν μου καὶ ποιήσεις ἐπ' ἐμὲ ἐλεημοσύνην καὶ ἀλήθειαν του̃ μή με θάψαι ἐν Αἰγύπτω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque appropinquare cerneret diem mortis suæ, vocavit filium suum Joseph, et dixit ad eum : Si inveni gratiam in conspectu tuo, pone manum tuam sub femore meo : et facies mihi misericordiam et veritatem, ut non sepelias me in Ægypto : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃47 ויקרבו ימי ישראל‪[1]‬ למות ויקרא לבנו ליוסף ויאמר לו אם נא מצאתי חן בעיניך שים נא ידך תחת ירכי ועשית עמדי חסד ואמת אל נא תקברני במצרים ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 30

But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said.

- Quand je serai couché avec mes pères, tu me transporteras hors de l'Égypte, et tu m'enterreras dans leur sépulcre. Joseph répondit: Je ferai selon ta parole. (Ⅱ)

- ἀλλὰ κοιμηθήσομαι μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων μου καὶ ἀρει̃ς με ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ θάψεις με ἐν τω̨̃ τάφω̨ αὐτω̃ν ὁ δὲ εἰ̃πεν ἐγὼ ποιήσω κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μά σου (Ⅲ)

- sed dormiam cum patribus meis, et auferas me de terra hac, condasque in sepulchro majorum meorum. Cui respondit Joseph : Ego faciam quod jussisti. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃47 ושכבתי עם אבתי ונשאתני ממצרים וקברתני בקברתם ויאמר אנכי אעשה כדברך ‬ (Ⅴ)

47. 31

And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed's head.

- Jacob dit: Jure-le-moi. Et Joseph le lui jura. Puis Israël se prosterna sur le chevet de son lit. (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃πεν δέ ὄμοσόν μοι καὶ ὤμοσεν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ προσεκύνησεν Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὸ ἄκρον τη̃ς ῥάβδου αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et ille : Jura ergo, inquit, mihi. Quo jurante, adoravit Israël Deum, conversus ad lectuli caput. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃47 ויאמר השבעה לי וישבע לו וישתחו ישראל על ראש המטה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
