9. 1  
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
- Dieu bénit Noé et ses fils, et leur dit: Soyez féconds, multipliez, et remplissez la terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ηὐλόγησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Νωε καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γη̃ν καὶ κατακυριεύσατε αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Benedixitque Deus Noë et filiis ejus. Et dixit ad eos : Crescite, et multiplicamini, et replete terram. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃9   ויברך אלהים את נח ואת בניו ויאמר להם פרו ורבו ומלאו את הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 2  
And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
- Vous serez un sujet de crainte et d'effroi pour tout animal de la terre, pour tout oiseau du ciel, pour tout ce qui se meut sur la terre, et pour tous les poissons de la mer: ils sont livrés entre vos mains. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὁ τρόμος ὑμω̃ν καὶ ὁ φόβος ἔσται ἐπὶ πα̃σιν τοι̃ς θηρίοις τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ὄρνεα του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ κινούμενα ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς ἰχθύας τη̃ς θαλάσσης ὑπὸ χει̃ρας ὑμι̃ν δέδωκα (Ⅲ)
- Et terror vester ac tremor sit super cuncta animalia terræ, et super omnes volucres cæli, cum universis quæ moventur super terram : omnes pisces maris manui vestræ traditi sunt. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃9   ומוראכם וחתכם יהיה על כל חית הארץ ועל כל עוף השמים בכל אשר תרמש האדמה ובכל דגי הים בידכם נתנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 3  
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
- Tout ce qui se meut et qui a vie vous servira de nourriture: je vous donne tout cela comme l'herbe verte. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ πα̃ν ἑρπετόν ὅ ἐστιν ζω̃ν ὑμι̃ν ἔσται εἰς βρω̃σιν ὡς λάχανα χόρτου δέδωκα ὑμι̃ν τὰ πάντα (Ⅲ)
- Et omne, quod movetur et vivit, erit vobis in cibum : quasi olera virentia tradidi vobis omnia. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃9   כל רמש אשר הוא חי לכם יהיה לאכלה כירק עשב נתתי לכם את כל ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 4  
But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
- Seulement, vous ne mangerez point de chair avec son âme, avec son sang. (Ⅱ)
- πλὴν κρέας ἐν αἵματι ψυχη̃ς οὐ φάγεσθε (Ⅲ)
- Excepto, quod carnem cum sanguine non comedetis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃9   אך בשר בנפשו דמו לא תאכלו ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 5  
And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
- Sachez-le aussi, je redemanderai le sang de vos âmes, je le redemanderai à tout animal; et je redemanderai l'âme de l'homme à l'homme, à l'homme qui est son frère. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ γὰρ τὸ ὑμέτερον αἱ̃μα τω̃ν ψυχω̃ν ὑμω̃ν ἐκζητήσω ἐκ χειρὸς πάντων τω̃ν θηρίων ἐκζητήσω αὐτὸ καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς ἀνθρώπου ἀδελφου̃ ἐκζητήσω τὴν ψυχὴν του̃ ἀνθρώπου (Ⅲ)
- Sanguinem enim animarum vestrarum requiram de manu cunctarum bestiarum : et de manu hominis, de manu viri, et fratris ejus requiram animam hominis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃9   ואך את דמכם לנפשתיכם אדרש מיד כל חיה אדרשנו ומיד האדם מיד איש אחיו אדרש את נפש האדם ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 6  
Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
- Si quelqu'un verse le sang de l'homme, par l'homme son sang sera versé; car Dieu a fait l'homme à son image. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ ἐκχέων αἱ̃μα ἀνθρώπου ἀντὶ του̃ αἵματος αὐτου̃ ἐκχυθήσεται ὅτι ἐν εἰκόνι θεου̃ ἐποίησα τὸν ἄνθρωπον (Ⅲ)
- Quicumque effuderit humanum sanguinem, fundetur sanguis illius : ad imaginem quippe Dei factus est homo. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃9   שפך דם האדם באדם דמו ישפך כי בצלם אלהים עשה את האדם ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 7  
And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
- Et vous, soyez féconds et multipliez, répandez-vous sur la terre et multipliez sur elle. (Ⅱ)
- ὑμει̃ς δὲ αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γη̃ν καὶ πληθύνεσθε ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Vos autem crescite et multiplicamini, et ingredimini super terram, et implete eam.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃9   ואתם פרו ורבו שרצו בארץ ורבו בה ס‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 8  
And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
- Dieu parla encore à Noé et à ses fils avec lui, en disant: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ θεὸς τω̨̃ Νωε καὶ τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτου̃ μετ' αὐτου̃ λέγων (Ⅲ)
- Hæc quoque dixit Deus ad Noë, et ad filios ejus cum eo : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃9   ויאמר אלהים אל נח ואל בניו אתו לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 9  
And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
- Voici, j'établis mon alliance avec vous et avec votre postérité après vous; (Ⅱ)
- ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ ἀνίστημι τὴν διαθήκην μου ὑμι̃ν καὶ τω̨̃ σπέρματι ὑμω̃ν μεθ' ὑμα̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Ecce ego statuam pactum meum vobiscum, et cum semine vestro post vos : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃9   ואני הנני מקים את בריתי אתכם ואת זרעכם אחריכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 10  
And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
- avec tous les êtres vivants qui sont avec vous, tant les oiseaux que le bétail et tous les animaux de la terre, soit avec tous ceux qui sont sortis de l'arche, soit avec tous les animaux de la terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ πάση̨ ψυχη̨̃ τη̨̃ ζώση̨ μεθ' ὑμω̃ν ἀπὸ ὀρνέων καὶ ἀπὸ κτηνω̃ν καὶ πα̃σι τοι̃ς θηρίοις τη̃ς γη̃ς ὅσα μεθ' ὑμω̃ν ἀπὸ πάντων τω̃ν ἐξελθόντων ἐκ τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- et ad omnem animam viventem, quæ est vobiscum, tam in volucribus quam in jumentis et pecudibus terræ cunctis, quæ egressa sunt de arca, et universis bestiis terræ. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃9   ואת כל נפש החיה אשר אתכם בעוף בבהמה ובכל חית הארץ אתכם מכל יצאי התבה לכל חית הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 11  
And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
- J'établis mon alliance avec vous: aucune chair ne sera plus exterminée par les eaux du déluge, et il n'y aura plus de déluge pour détruire la terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ στήσω τὴν διαθήκην μου πρὸς ὑμα̃ς καὶ οὐκ ἀποθανει̃ται πα̃σα σὰρξ ἔτι ἀπὸ του̃ ὕδατος του̃ κατακλυσμου̃ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι κατακλυσμὸς ὕδατος του̃ καταφθει̃ραι πα̃σαν τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Statuam pactum meum vobiscum, et nequaquam ultra interficietur omnis caro aquis diluvii, neque erit deinceps diluvium dissipans terram. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃9   והקמתי את בריתי אתכם ולא יכרת כל בשר עוד ממי המבול ולא יהיה עוד מבול לשחת הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 12  
And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
- Et Dieu dit: C'est ici le signe de l'alliance que j'établis entre moi et vous, et tous les êtres vivants qui sont avec vous, pour les générations à toujours: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Νωε του̃το τὸ σημει̃ον τη̃ς διαθήκης ὃ ἐγὼ δίδωμι ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμου̃ καὶ ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχη̃ς ζώσης ἥ ἐστιν μεθ' ὑμω̃ν εἰς γενεὰς αἰωνίους (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque Deus : Hoc signum fœderis quod do inter me et vos, et ad omnem animam viventem, quæ est vobiscum in generationes sempiternas : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃9   ויאמר אלהים זאת אות הברית אשר אני נתן ביני וביניכם ובין כל נפש חיה אשר אתכם לדרת עולם ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 13  
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
- j'ai placé mon arc dans la nue, et il servira de signe d'alliance entre moi et la terre. (Ⅱ)
- τὸ τόξον μου τίθημι ἐν τη̨̃ νεφέλη̨ καὶ ἔσται εἰς σημει̃ον διαθήκης ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμου̃ καὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- arcum meum ponam in nubibus, et erit signum fœderis inter me et inter terram. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃9   את קשתי נתתי בענן והיתה לאות ברית ביני ובין הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 14  
And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
- Quand j'aurai rassemblé des nuages au-dessus de la terre, l'arc paraîtra dans la nue; (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔσται ἐν τω̨̃ συννεφει̃ν με νεφέλας ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν ὀφθήσεται τὸ τόξον μου ἐν τη̨̃ νεφέλη̨ (Ⅲ)
- Cumque obduxero nubibus cælum, apparebit arcus meus in nubibus : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃9   והיה בענני ענן על הארץ ונראתה הקשת בענן ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 15  
And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
- et je me souviendrai de mon alliance entre moi et vous, et tous les êtres vivants, de toute chair, et les eaux ne deviendront plus un déluge pour détruire toute chair. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ μνησθήσομαι τη̃ς διαθήκης μου ἥ ἐστιν ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμου̃ καὶ ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχη̃ς ζώσης ἐν πάση̨ σαρκί καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι τὸ ὕδωρ εἰς κατακλυσμὸν ὥστε ἐξαλει̃ψαι πα̃σαν σάρκα (Ⅲ)
- et recordabor fœderis mei vobiscum, et cum omni anima vivente quæ carnem vegetat : et non erunt ultra aquæ diluvii ad delendum universam carnem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃9   וזכרתי את בריתי אשר ביני וביניכם ובין כל נפש חיה בכל בשר ולא יהיה עוד המים למבול לשחת כל בשר ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 16  
And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
- L'arc sera dans la nue; et je le regarderai, pour me souvenir de l'alliance perpétuelle entre Dieu et tous les êtres vivants, de toute chair qui est sur la terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔσται τὸ τόξον μου ἐν τη̨̃ νεφέλη̨ καὶ ὄψομαι του̃ μνησθη̃ναι διαθήκην αἰώνιον ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμου̃ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχη̃ς ζώσης ἐν πάση̨ σαρκί ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Eritque arcus in nubibus, et videbo illum, et recordabor fœderis sempiterni quod pactum est inter Deum et omnem animam viventem universæ carnis quæ est super terram. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃9   והיתה הקשת בענן וראיתיה לזכר ברית עולם בין אלהים ובין כל נפש חיה בכל בשר אשר על הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 17  
And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
- Et Dieu dit à Noé: Tel est le signe de l'alliance que j'établis entre moi et toute chair qui est sur la terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ θεὸς τω̨̃ Νωε του̃το τὸ σημει̃ον τη̃ς διαθήκης ἡ̃ς διεθέμην ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμου̃ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης σαρκός ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque Deus ad Noë : Hoc erit signum fœderis, quod constitui inter me et omnem carnem super terram.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃9   ויאמר אלהים אל נח זאת אות הברית אשר הקמתי ביני ובין כל בשר אשר על הארץ פ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 18  
And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
- Les fils de Noé, qui sortirent de l'arche, étaient Sem, Cham et Japhet. Cham fut le père de Canaan. (Ⅱ)
- ἠ̃σαν δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Νωε οἱ ἐξελθόντες ἐκ τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ Σημ Χαμ Ιαφεθ Χαμ ἠ̃ν πατὴρ Χανααν (Ⅲ)
- Erant ergo filii Noë, qui egressi sunt de arca, Sem, Cham et Japheth : porro Cham ipse est pater Chanaan. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃9   ויהיו בני נח היצאים מן התבה שם וחם ויפת וחם הוא אבי כנען ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 19  
These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
- Ce sont là les trois fils de Noé, et c'est leur postérité qui peupla toute la terre. (Ⅱ)
- τρει̃ς οὑ̃τοί εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Νωε ἀπὸ τούτων διεσπάρησαν ἐπὶ πα̃σαν τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Tres isti filii sunt Noë : et ab his disseminatum est omne genus hominum super universam terram. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃9   שלשה אלה בני נח ומאלה נפצה כל הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 20  
And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
- Noé commença à cultiver la terre, et planta de la vigne. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἤρξατο Νωε ἄνθρωπος γεωργὸς γη̃ς καὶ ἐφύτευσεν ἀμπελω̃να (Ⅲ)
- Cœpitque Noë vir agricola exercere terram, et plantavit vineam. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃9   ויחל נח איש האדמה ויטע כרם ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 21  
And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
- Il but du vin, s'enivra, et se découvrit au milieu de sa tente. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔπιεν ἐκ του̃ οἴνου καὶ ἐμεθύσθη καὶ ἐγυμνώθη ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Bibensque vinum inebriatus est, et nudatus in tabernaculo suo. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃9   וישת מן היין וישכר ויתגל בתוך אהלה‪[q]‬ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 22  
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
- Cham, père de Canaan, vit la nudité de son père, et il le rapporta dehors à ses deux frères. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃δεν Χαμ ὁ πατὴρ Χανααν τὴν γύμνωσιν του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐξελθὼν ἀνήγγειλεν τοι̃ς δυσὶν ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτου̃ ἔξω (Ⅲ)
- Quod cum vidisset Cham, pater Chanaan, verenda scilicet patris sui esse nudata, nuntiavit duobus fratribus suis foras. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃9   וירא חם אבי כנען את ערות אביו ויגד לשני אחיו בחוץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 23  
And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
- Alors Sem et Japhet prirent le manteau, le mirent sur leurs épaules, marchèrent à reculons, et couvrirent la nudité de leur père; comme leur visage était détourné, ils ne virent point la nudité de leur père. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ λαβόντες Σημ καὶ Ιαφεθ τὸ ἱμάτιον ἐπέθεντο ἐπὶ τὰ δύο νω̃τα αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπισθοφανω̃ς καὶ συνεκάλυψαν τὴν γύμνωσιν του̃ πατρὸς αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτω̃ν ὀπισθοφανές καὶ τὴν γύμνωσιν του̃ πατρὸς αὐτω̃ν οὐκ εἰ̃δον (Ⅲ)
- At vero Sem et Japheth pallium imposuerunt humeris suis, et incedentes retrorsum, operuerunt verenda patris sui : faciesque eorum aversæ erant, et patris virilia non viderunt. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃9   ויקח שם ויפת את השמלה וישימו על שכם שניהם וילכו אחרנית ויכסו את ערות אביהם ופניהם אחרנית וערות אביהם לא ראו ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 24  
And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
- Lorsque Noé se réveilla de son vin, il apprit ce que lui avait fait son fils cadet. (Ⅱ)
- ἐξένηψεν δὲ Νωε ἀπὸ του̃ οἴνου καὶ ἔγνω ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτω̨̃ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτου̃ ὁ νεώτερος (Ⅲ)
- Evigilans autem Noë ex vino, cum didicisset quæ fecerat ei filius suus minor, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃9   וייקץ נח מיינו וידע את אשר עשה לו בנו הקטן ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 25  
And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
- Et il dit: Maudit soit Canaan! qu'il soit l'esclave des esclaves de ses frères! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐπικατάρατος Χανααν παι̃ς οἰκέτης ἔσται τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- ait : [Maledictus Chanaan,/ servus servorum erit fratribus suis.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃9   ויאמר ארור כנען עבד עבדים יהיה לאחיו ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 26  
And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
- Il dit encore: Béni soit l'Éternel, Dieu de Sem, et que Canaan soit leur esclave! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς του̃ Σημ καὶ ἔσται Χανααν παι̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque : [Benedictus Dominus Deus Sem,/ sit Chanaan servus ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 26 ׃9   ויאמר ברוך יהוה אלהי שם ויהי כנען עבד למו ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 27  
God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
- Que Dieu étende les possessions de Japhet, qu'il habite dans les tentes de Sem, et que Canaan soit leur esclave! (Ⅱ)
- πλατύναι ὁ θεὸς τω̨̃ Ιαφεθ καὶ κατοικησάτω ἐν τοι̃ς οἴκοις του̃ Σημ καὶ γενηθήτω Χανααν παι̃ς αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Dilatet Deus Japheth, et habitet in tabernaculis Sem,/ sitque Chanaan servus ejus.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 27 ׃9   יפת אלהים ליפת וישכן באהלי שם ויהי כנען עבד למו ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 28  
And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
- Noé vécut, après le déluge, trois cent cinquante ans. (Ⅱ)
- ἔζησεν δὲ Νωε μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμὸν τριακόσια πεντήκοντα ἔτη (Ⅲ)
- Vixit autem Noë post diluvium trecentis quinquaginta annis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 28 ׃9   ויחי נח אחר המבול שלש מאות שנה וחמשים שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)
9. 29  
And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.
- Tous les jours de Noé furent de neuf cent cinquante ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Νωε ἐννακόσια πεντήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)
- Et impleti sunt omnes dies ejus nongentorum quinquaginta annorum : et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)
