13. 1

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

- Après cela, voici ce qui arriva. Absalom, fils de David, avait une soeur qui était belle et qui s'appelait Tamar; et Amnon, fils de David, l'aima. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη μετὰ ταυ̃τα καὶ τω̨̃ Αβεσσαλωμ υἱω̨̃ Δαυιδ ἀδελφὴ καλὴ τω̨̃ εἴδει σφόδρα καὶ ὄνομα αὐτη̨̃ Θημαρ καὶ ἠγάπησεν αὐτὴν Αμνων υἱὸς Δαυιδ (Ⅲ)

- Factum est autem post hæc ut Absalom filii David sororem speciosissimam, vocabulo Thamar, adamaret Amnon filius David, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃13 ויהי אחרי כן ולאבשלום בן דוד אחות יפה ושמה תמר ויאהבה אמנון בן דוד ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 2

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.

- Amnon était tourmenté jusqu'à se rendre malade à cause de Tamar, sa soeur; car elle était vierge, et il paraissait difficile à Amnon de faire sur elle la moindre tentative. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐθλίβετο Αμνων ὥστε ἀρρωστει̃ν διὰ Θημαρ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτου̃ ὅτι παρθένος ἠ̃ν αὐτή καὶ ὑπέρογκον ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς Αμνων του̃ ποιη̃σαί τι αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- et deperiret eam valde, ita ut propter amorem ejus ægrotaret : quia cum esset virgo, difficile ei videbatur ut quippiam inhoneste ageret cum ea. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃13 ויצר לאמנון להתחלות בעבור תמר אחתו כי בתולה היא ויפלא בעיני אמנון לעשות לה מאומה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 3

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

- Amnon avait un ami, nommé Jonadab, fils de Schimea, frère de David, et Jonadab était un homme très habile. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ν τω̨̃ Αμνων ἑται̃ρος καὶ ὄνομα αὐτω̨̃ Ιωναδαβ υἱὸς Σαμαα του̃ ἀδελφου̃ Δαυιδ καὶ Ιωναδαβ ἀνὴρ σοφὸς σφόδρα (Ⅲ)

- Erat autem Amnon amicus nomine Jonadab, filius Semmaa fratris David, vir prudens valde. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃13 ולאמנון רע ושמו יונדב בן שמעה אחי דוד ויונדב איש חכם מאד ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 4

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.

- Il lui dit: Pourquoi deviens-tu, ainsi chaque matin plus maigre, toi, fils de roi? Ne veux-tu pas me le dire? Amnon lui répondit: J'aime Tamar, soeur d'Absalom, mon frère. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ τί σοι ὅτι σὺ οὕτως ἀσθενής υἱὲ του̃ βασιλέως τὸ πρωὶ πρωί οὐκ ἀπαγγελει̃ς μοι καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Αμνων Θημαρ τὴν ἀδελφὴν Αβεσσαλωμ του̃ ἀδελφου̃ μου ἐγὼ ἀγαπω̃ (Ⅲ)

- Qui dixit ad eum : Quare sic attenuaris macie, fili regis, per singulos dies ? cur non indicas mihi ? Dixitque ei Amnon : Thamar sororem fratris mei Absalom amo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃13 ויאמר לו מדוע אתה ככה דל בן המלך בבקר בבקר הלוא תגיד לי ויאמר לו אמנון את תמר אחות אבשלם אחי אני אהב ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 5

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

- Jonadab lui dit: Mets-toi au lit, et fais le malade. Quand ton père viendra te voir, tu lui diras: Permets à Tamar, ma soeur, de venir pour me donner à manger; qu'elle prépare un mets sous mes yeux, afin que je le voie et que je le prenne de sa main. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Ιωναδαβ κοιμήθητι ἐπὶ τη̃ς κοίτης σου καὶ μαλακίσθητι καὶ εἰσελεύσεται ὁ πατήρ σου του̃ ἰδει̃ν σε καὶ ἐρει̃ς πρὸς αὐτόν ἐλθέτω δὴ Θημαρ ἡ ἀδελφή μου καὶ ψωμισάτω με καὶ ποιησάτω κατ' ὀφθαλμούς μου βρω̃μα ὅπως ἴδω καὶ φάγω ἐκ τω̃ν χειρω̃ν αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Cui respondit Jonadab : Cuba super lectum tuum, et languorem simula : cumque venerit pater tuus ut visitet te, dic ei : Veniat, oro, Thamar soror mea, ut det mihi cibum, et faciat pulmentum, ut comedam de manu ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃13 ויאמר לו יהונדב שכב על משכבך והתחל ובא אביך לראותך ואמרת אליו תבא נא תמר אחותי ותברני לחם ועשתה לעיני את הבריה למען אשר אראה ואכלתי מידה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 6

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

- Amnon se coucha, et fit le malade. Le roi vint le voir, et Amnon dit au roi: Je te prie, que Tamar, ma soeur, vienne faire deux gâteaux sous mes yeux, et que je les mange de sa main. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Αμνων καὶ ἠρρώστησεν καὶ εἰση̃λθεν ὁ βασιλεὺς ἰδει̃ν αὐτόν καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αμνων πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ἐλθέτω δὴ Θημαρ ἡ ἀδελφή μου πρός με καὶ κολλυρισάτω ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς μου δύο κολλυρίδας καὶ φάγομαι ἐκ τη̃ς χειρὸς αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Accubuit itaque Amnon, et quasi ægrotare cœpit : cumque venisset rex ad visitandum eum, ait Amnon ad regem : Veniat, obsecro, Thamar soror mea, ut faciat in oculis meis duas sorbitiunculas, et cibum capiam de manu ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃13 וישכב אמנון ויתחל ויבא המלך לראתו ויאמר אמנון אל המלך תבוא נא תמר אחתי ותלבב לעיני שתי לבבות ואברה מידה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 7

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him meat.

- David envoya dire à Tamar dans l'intérieur des appartements: Va dans la maison d'Amnon, ton frère, et prépare-lui un mets. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Θημαρ εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον λέγων πορεύθητι δὴ εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον Αμνων του̃ ἀδελφου̃ σου καὶ ποίησον αὐτω̨̃ βρω̃μα (Ⅲ)

- Misit ergo David ad Thamar domum, dicens : Veni in domum Amnon fratris tui, et fac ei pulmentum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃13 וישלח דוד אל תמר הביתה לאמר לכי נא בית אמנון אחיך ועשי לו הבריה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 8

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

- Tamar alla dans la maison d'Amnon, son frère, qui était couché. Elle prit de la pâte, la pétrit, prépara devant lui des gâteaux, et les fit cuire; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη Θημαρ εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον Αμνων ἀδελφου̃ αὐτη̃ς καὶ αὐτὸς κοιμώμενος καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸ σται̃ς καὶ ἐφύρασεν καὶ ἐκολλύρισεν κατ' ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτου̃ καὶ ἥψησεν τὰς κολλυρίδας (Ⅲ)

- Venitque Thamar in domum Amnon fratris sui : ille autem jacebat. Quæ tollens farinam commiscuit, et liquefaciens, in oculis ejus coxit sorbitiunculas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃13 ותלך תמר בית אמנון אחיה והוא שכב ותקח את הבצק *ותלוש **ותלש ותלבב לעיניו ותבשל את הלבבות ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 9

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

- prenant ensuite la poêle, elle les versa devant lui. Mais Amnon refusa de manger. Il dit: Faites sortir tout le monde. Et tout le monde sortit de chez lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸ τήγανον καὶ κατεκένωσεν ἐνώπιον αὐτου̃ καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν φαγει̃ν καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αμνων ἐξαγάγετε πάντα ἄνδρα ἐπάνωθέν μου καὶ ἐξήγαγον πάντα ἄνδρα ἀπὸ ἐπάνωθεν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Tollensque quod coxerat, effudit, et posuit coram eo, et noluit comedere : dixitque Amnon : Ejicite universos a me. Cumque ejecissent omnes, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃13 ותקח את המשרת ותצק לפניו וימאן לאכול ויאמר אמנון הוציאו כל איש מעלי ויצאו כל איש מעליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 10

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

- Alors Amnon dit à Tamar: Apporte le mets dans la chambre, et que je le mange de ta main. Tamar prit les gâteaux qu'elle avait faits, et les porta à Amnon, son frère, dans la chambre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αμνων πρὸς Θημαρ εἰσένεγκε τὸ βρω̃μα εἰς τὸ ταμίειον καὶ φάγομαι ἐκ τη̃ς χειρός σου καὶ ἔλαβεν Θημαρ τὰς κολλυρίδας ἃς ἐποίησεν καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν τω̨̃ Αμνων ἀδελφω̨̃ αὐτη̃ς εἰς τὸν κοιτω̃να (Ⅲ)

- dixit Amnon ad Thamar : Infer cibum in conclave, ut vescar de manu tua. Tulit ergo Thamar sorbitiunculas quas fecerat, et intulit ad Amnon fratrem suum in conclave. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃13 ויאמר אמנון אל תמר הביאי הבריה החדר ואברה מידך ותקח תמר את הלבבות אשר עשתה ותבא לאמנון אחיה החדרה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 11

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

- Comme elle les lui présentait à manger, il la saisit et lui dit: Viens, couche avec moi, ma soeur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ προσήγαγεν αὐτω̨̃ του̃ φαγει̃ν καὶ ἐπελάβετο αὐτη̃ς καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ δευ̃ρο κοιμήθητι μετ' ἐμου̃ ἀδελφή μου (Ⅲ)

- Cumque obtulisset ei cibum, apprehendit eam, et ait : Veni, cuba mecum, soror mea. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃13 ותגש אליו לאכל ויחזק בה ויאמר לה בואי שכבי עמי אחותי ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 12

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

- Elle lui répondit: Non, mon frère, ne me déshonore pas, car on n'agit point ainsi en Israël; ne commets pas cette infamie. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ μή ἄδελφέ μου μὴ ταπεινώση̨ς με διότι οὐ ποιηθήσεται οὕτως ἐν Ισραηλ μὴ ποιήση̨ς τὴν ἀφροσύνην ταύτην (Ⅲ)

- Quæ respondit ei : Noli frater mi, noli opprimere me : neque enim hoc fas est in Israël : noli facere stultitiam hanc. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃13 ותאמר לו אל אחי אל תענני כי לא יעשה כן בישראל אל תעשה את הנבלה הזאת ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 13

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

- Où irais-je, moi, avec ma honte? Et toi, tu serais comme l'un des infâmes en Israël. Maintenant, je te prie, parle au roi, et il ne s'opposera pas à ce que je sois à toi. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγὼ που̃ ἀποίσω τὸ ὄνειδός μου καὶ σὺ ἔση̨ ὡς εἱ̃ς τω̃ν ἀφρόνων ἐν Ισραηλ καὶ νυ̃ν λάλησον δὴ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ὅτι οὐ μὴ κωλύση̨ με ἀπὸ σου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Ego enim ferre non potero opprobrium meum, et tu eris quasi unus de insipientibus in Israël : quin potius loquere ad regem, et non negabit me tibi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃13 ואני אנה אוליך את חרפתי ואתה תהיה כאחד הנבלים בישראל ועתה דבר נא אל המלך כי לא ימנעני ממך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 14

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

- Mais il ne voulut pas l'écouter; il lui fit violence, la déshonora et coucha avec elle. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν Αμνων του̃ ἀκου̃σαι τη̃ς φωνη̃ς αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐκραταίωσεν ὑπὲρ αὐτὴν καὶ ἐταπείνωσεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐκοιμήθη μετ' αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Noluit autem acquiescere precibus ejus, sed prævalens viribus oppressit eam, et cubavit cum ea.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃13 ולא אבה לשמע בקולה ויחזק ממנה ויענה וישכב אתה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 15

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

- Puis Amnon eut pour elle une forte aversion, plus forte que n'avait été son amour. Et il lui dit: Lève-toi, va-t'en! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐμίσησεν αὐτὴν Αμνων μι̃σος μέγα σφόδρα ὅτι μέγα τὸ μι̃σος ὃ ἐμίσησεν αὐτήν ὑπὲρ τὴν ἀγάπην ἣν ἠγάπησεν αὐτήν καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ Αμνων ἀνάστηθι καὶ πορεύου (Ⅲ)

- Et exosam eam habuit Amnon odio magno nimis : ita ut majus esset odium quo oderat eam, amore quo ante dilexerat. Dixitque ei Amnon : Surge, et vade. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃13 וישנאה אמנון שנאה גדולה מאד כי גדולה השנאה אשר שנאה מאהבה אשר אהבה ויאמר לה אמנון קומי לכי ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 16

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

- Elle lui répondit: N'augmente pas, en me chassant, le mal que tu m'as déjà fait. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Θημαρ μή ἄδελφε ὅτι μεγάλη ἡ κακία ἡ ἐσχάτη ὑπὲρ τὴν πρώτην ἣν ἐποίησας μετ' ἐμου̃ του̃ ἐξαποστει̃λαί με καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν Αμνων ἀκου̃σαι τη̃ς φωνη̃ς αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Quæ respondit ei : Majus est hoc malum quod nunc agis adversum me, quam quod ante fecisti, expellens me. Et noluit audire eam : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃13 ותאמר לו אל אודת הרעה הגדולה הזאת מאחרת אשר עשית עמי לשלחני ולא אבה לשמע לה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 17

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

- Il ne voulut pas l'écouter, et appelant le garçon qui le servait, il dit: Qu'on éloigne de moi cette femme et qu'on la mette dehors. Et ferme la porte après elle! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ παιδάριον αὐτου̃ τὸν προεστηκότα του̃ οἴκου αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἐξαποστείλατε δὴ ταύτην ἀπ' ἐμου̃ ἔξω καὶ ἀπόκλεισον τὴν θύραν ὀπίσω αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- sed vocato puero qui ministrabat ei, dixit : Ejice hanc a me foras, et claude ostium post eam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃13 ויקרא את נערו משרתו ויאמר שלחו נא את זאת מעלי החוצה ונעל הדלת אחריה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 18

And she had a garment of divers colors upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

- Elle avait une tunique de plusieurs couleurs; car c'était le vêtement que portaient les filles du roi, aussi longtemps qu'elles étaient vierges. Le serviteur d'Amnon la mit dehors, et ferma la porte après elle. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς ἠ̃ν χιτὼν καρπωτός ὅτι οὕτως ἐνεδιδύσκοντο αἱ θυγατέρες του̃ βασιλέως αἱ παρθένοι τοὺς ἐπενδύτας αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐξήγαγεν αὐτὴν ὁ λειτουργὸς αὐτου̃ ἔξω καὶ ἀπέκλεισεν τὴν θύραν ὀπίσω αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Quæ induta erat talari tunica : hujuscemodi enim filiæ regis virgines vestibus utebantur. Ejecit itaque eam minister illius foras : clausitque fores post eam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃13 ועליה כתנת פסים כי כן תלבשן בנות המלך הבתולת מעילים ויצא אותה משרתו החוץ ונעל הדלת אחריה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 19

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colors that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

- Tamar répandit de la cendre sur sa tête, et déchira sa tunique bigarrée; elle mit la main sur sa tête, et s'en alla en poussant des cris. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν Θημαρ σποδὸν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὸν χιτω̃να τὸν καρπωτὸν τὸν ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς διέρρηξεν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χει̃ρας αὐτη̃ς ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐπορεύθη πορευομένη καὶ κράζουσα (Ⅲ)

- Quæ aspergens cinerem capiti suo, scissa talari tunica, impositisque manibus super caput suum, ibat ingrediens, et clamans. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃13 ותקח תמר אפר על ראשה וכתנת הפסים אשר עליה קרעה ותשם ידה על ראשה ותלך הלוך וזעקה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 20

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.

- Absalom, son frère, lui dit: Amnon, ton frère, a-t-il été avec toi? Maintenant, ma soeur, tais-toi, c'est ton frère; ne prends pas cette affaire trop à coeur. Et Tamar, désolée, demeura dans la maison d'Absalom, son frère. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Αβεσσαλωμ ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτη̃ς μὴ Αμνων ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐγένετο μετὰ σου̃ καὶ νυ̃ν ἀδελφή μου κώφευσον ὅτι ἀδελφός σού ἐστιν μὴ θη̨̃ς τὴν καρδίαν σου του̃ λαλη̃σαι εἰς τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το καὶ ἐκάθισεν Θημαρ χηρεύουσα ἐν οἴκω̨ Αβεσσαλωμ του̃ ἀδελφου̃ αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Dixit autem ei Absalom frater suus : Numquid Amnon frater tuus concubuit tecum ? sed nunc soror, tace : frater tuus est : neque affligas cor tuum pro hac re. Mansit itaque Thamar contabescens in domo Absalom fratris sui. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃13 ויאמר אליה אבשלום אחיה האמינון אחיך היה עמך ועתה אחותי החרישי אחיך הוא אל תשיתי את לבך לדבר הזה ותשב תמר ושממה בית אבשלום אחיה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 21

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

- Le roi David apprit toutes ces choses, et il fut très irrité. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤκουσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Δαυιδ πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους καὶ ἐθυμώθη σφόδρα καὶ οὐκ ἐλύπησεν τὸ πνευ̃μα Αμνων του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ ὅτι ἠγάπα αὐτόν ὅτι πρωτότοκος αὐτου̃ ἠ̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Cum autem audisset rex David verba hæc, contristatus est valde : et noluit contristare spiritum Amnon filii sui, quoniam diligebat eum, quia primogenitus erat ei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃13 והמלך דוד שמע את כל הדברים האלה ויחר לו מאד ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 22

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

- Absalom ne parla ni en bien ni en mal avec Amnon; mais il le prit en haine, parce qu'il avait déshonoré Tamar, sa soeur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἐλάλησεν Αβεσσαλωμ μετὰ Αμνων ἀπὸ πονηρου̃ ἕως ἀγαθου̃ ὅτι ἐμίσει Αβεσσαλωμ τὸν Αμνων ἐπὶ λόγου οὑ̃ ἐταπείνωσεν Θημαρ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Porro non est locutus Absalom ad Amnon nec malum nec bonum : oderat enim Absalom Amnon, eo quod violasset Thamar sororem suam.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃13 ולא דבר אבשלום עם אמנון למרע ועד טוב כי שנא אבשלום את אמנון על דבר אשר ענה את תמר אחתו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 23

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.

- Deux ans après, comme Absalom avait les tondeurs à Baal Hatsor, près d'Éphraïm, il invita tous les fils du roi. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο εἰς διετηρίδα ἡμερω̃ν καὶ ἠ̃σαν κείροντες τω̨̃ Αβεσσαλωμ ἐν Βελασωρ τη̨̃ ἐχόμενα Εφραιμ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Αβεσσαλωμ πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ)

- Factum est autem post tempus biennii ut tonderentur oves Absalom in Baalhasor, quæ est juxta Ephraim : et vocavit Absalom omnes filios regis, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃13 ויהי לשנתים ימים ויהיו גזזים לאבשלום בבעל חצור אשר עם אפרים ויקרא אבשלום לכל בני המלך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 24

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

- Absalom alla vers le roi, et dit: Voici, ton serviteur a les tondeurs; que le roi et ses serviteurs viennent chez ton serviteur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Αβεσσαλωμ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ δὴ κείρουσιν τω̨̃ δούλω̨ σου πορευθήτω δὴ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ οἱ παι̃δες αὐτου̃ μετὰ του̃ δούλου σου (Ⅲ)

- venitque ad regem, et ait ad eum : Ecce tondentur oves servi tui : veniat, oro, rex cum servis suis ad servum suum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃13 ויבא אבשלום אל המלך ויאמר הנה נא גזזים לעבדך ילך נא המלך ועבדיו עם עבדך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 25

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

- Et le roi dit à Absalom: Non, mon fils, nous n'irons pas tous, de peur que nous ne te soyons à charge. Absalom le pressa; mais le roi ne voulut point aller, et il le bénit. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς Αβεσσαλωμ μὴ δή υἱέ μου μὴ πορευθω̃μεν πάντες ἡμει̃ς καὶ οὐ μὴ καταβαρυνθω̃μεν ἐπὶ σέ καὶ ἐβιάσατο αὐτόν καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν του̃ πορευθη̃ναι καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque rex ad Absalom : Noli fili mi, noli rogare ut veniamus omnes et gravemus te. Cum autem cogeret eum, et noluisset ire, benedixit ei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃13 ויאמר המלך אל אבשלום אל בני אל נא נלך כלנו ולא נכבד עליך ויפרץ בו ולא אבה ללכת ויברכהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 26

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

- Absalom dit: Permets du moins à Amnon, mon frère, de venir avec nous. Le roi lui répondit: Pourquoi irait-il chez toi? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αβεσσαλωμ καὶ εἰ μή πορευθήτω δὴ μεθ' ἡμω̃ν Αμνων ὁ ἀδελφός μου καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ὁ βασιλεύς ἵνα τί πορευθη̨̃ μετὰ σου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et ait Absalom : Si non vis venire, veniat, obsecro, nobiscum saltem Amnon frater meus. Dixitque ad eum rex : Non est necesse ut vadat tecum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃13 ויאמר אבשלום ולא ילך נא אתנו אמנון אחי ויאמר לו המלך למה ילך עמך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 27

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.

- Sur les instances d'Absalom, le roi laissa aller avec lui Amnon et tous ses fils. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐβιάσατο αὐτὸν Αβεσσαλωμ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν μετ' αὐτου̃ τὸν Αμνων καὶ πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἐποίησεν Αβεσσαλωμ πότον κατὰ τὸν πότον του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ)

- Coëgit itaque Absalom eum, et dimisit cum eo Amnon et universos filios regis. Feceratque Absalom convivium quasi convivium regis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃13 ויפרץ בו אבשלום וישלח אתו את אמנון ואת כל בני המלך ס‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 28

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

- Absalom donna cet ordre à ses serviteurs: Faites attention quand le coeur d'Amnon sera égayé par le vin et que je vous dirai: Frappez Amnon! Alors tuez-le; ne craignez point, n'est-ce pas moi qui vous l'ordonne? Soyez fermes, et montrez du courage! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐνετείλατο Αβεσσαλωμ τοι̃ς παιδαρίοις αὐτου̃ λέγων ἴδετε ὡς ἂν ἀγαθυνθη̨̃ ἡ καρδία Αμνων ἐν τω̨̃ οἴνω̨ καὶ εἴπω πρὸς ὑμα̃ς πατάξατε τὸν Αμνων καὶ θανατώσατε αὐτόν μὴ φοβηθη̃τε ὅτι οὐχὶ ἐγώ εἰμι ἐντέλλομαι ὑμι̃ν ἀνδρίζεσθε καὶ γίνεσθε εἰς υἱοὺς δυνάμεως (Ⅲ)

- Præceperat autem Absalom pueris suis, dicens : Observate cum temulentus fuerit Amnon vino, et dixero vobis : Percutite eum, et interficite : nolite timere : ego enim sum qui præcipio vobis : roboramini, et estote viri fortes. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃13 ויצו אבשלום את נעריו לאמר ראו נא כטוב לב אמנון ביין ואמרתי אליכם הכו את אמנון והמתם אתו אל תיראו הלוא כי אנכי צויתי אתכם חזקו והיו לבני חיל ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 29

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

- Les serviteurs d'Absalom traitèrent Amnon comme Absalom l'avait ordonné. Et tous les fils du roi se levèrent, montèrent chacun sur son mulet, et s'enfuirent. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησαν τὰ παιδάρια Αβεσσαλωμ τω̨̃ Αμνων καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτοι̃ς Αβεσσαλωμ καὶ ἀνέστησαν πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἐπεκάθισαν ἀνὴρ ἐπὶ τὴν ἡμίονον αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔφυγαν (Ⅲ)

- Fecerunt ergo pueri Absalom adversum Amnon sicut præceperat eis Absalom. Surgentesque omnes filii regis ascenderunt singuli mulas suas, et fugerunt.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃13 ויעשו נערי אבשלום לאמנון כאשר צוה אבשלום ויקמו כל בני המלך וירכבו איש על פרדו וינסו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 30

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.

- Comme ils étaient en chemin, le bruit parvint à David qu'Absalom avait tué tous les fils du roi, et qu'il n'en était pas resté un seul. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτω̃ν ὄντων ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ καὶ ἡ ἀκοὴ ἠ̃λθεν πρὸς Δαυιδ λέγων ἐπάταξεν Αβεσσαλωμ πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς του̃ βασιλέως καὶ οὐ κατελείφθη ἐξ αὐτω̃ν οὐδὲ εἱ̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Cumque adhuc pergerent in itinere, fama pervenit ad David, dicens : Percussit Absalom omnes filios regis, et non remansit ex eis saltem unus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃13 ויהי המה בדרך והשמעה באה אל דוד לאמר הכה אבשלום את כל בני המלך ולא נותר מהם אחד ס‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 31

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

- Le roi se leva, déchira ses vêtements, et se coucha par terre; et tous ses serviteurs étaient là, les vêtements déchirés. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέστη ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ διέρρηξεν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐκοιμήθη ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν καὶ πάντες οἱ παι̃δες αὐτου̃ οἱ περιεστω̃τες αὐτω̨̃ διέρρηξαν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Surrexit itaque rex, et scidit vestimenta sua, et cecidit super terram : et omnes servi illius qui assistebant ei, sciderunt vestimenta sua. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃13 ויקם המלך ויקרע את בגדיו וישכב ארצה וכל עבדיו נצבים קרעי בגדים ס‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 32

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

- Jonadab, fils de Schimea, frère de David, prit la parole et dit: Que mon seigneur ne pense point que tous les jeunes gens, fils du roi, ont été tués, car Amnon seul est mort; et c'est l'effet d'une résolution d'Absalom, depuis le jour où Amnon a déshonoré Tamar, sa soeur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Ιωναδαβ υἱὸς Σαμαα ἀδελφου̃ Δαυιδ καὶ εἰ̃πεν μὴ εἰπάτω ὁ κύριός μου ὁ βασιλεὺς ὅτι πάντα τὰ παιδάρια τοὺς υἱοὺς του̃ βασιλέως ἐθανάτωσεν ὅτι Αμνων μονώτατος ἀπέθανεν ὅτι ἐπὶ στόματος Αβεσσαλωμ ἠ̃ν κείμενος ἀπὸ τη̃ς ἡμέρας ἡ̃ς ἐταπείνωσεν Θημαρ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Respondens autem Jonadab filius Semmaa fratris David, dixit : Ne æstimet dominus meus rex quod omnes pueri filii regis occisi sint : Amnon solus mortuus est, quoniam in ore Absalom erat positus ex die qua oppressit Thamar sororem ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃13 ויען יונדב בן שמעה אחי דוד ויאמר אל יאמר אדני את כל הנערים בני המלך המיתו כי אמנון לבדו מת כי על פי אבשלום היתה שומה מיום ענתו את תמר אחתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 33

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

- Que le roi mon seigneur ne se tourmente donc point dans l'idée que tous les fils du roi sont morts, car Amnon seul est mort. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ νυ̃ν μὴ θέσθω ὁ κύριός μου ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτου̃ ῥη̃μα λέγων πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ του̃ βασιλέως ἀπέθαναν ὅτι ἀλλ' ἢ Αμνων μονώτατος ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Nunc ergo ne ponat dominus meus rex super cor suum verbum istud, dicens : Omnes filii regis occisi sunt : quoniam Amnon solus mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 33 ׃13 ועתה אל ישם אדני המלך אל לבו דבר לאמר כל בני המלך מתו כי אם אמנון לבדו מת פ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 34

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

- Absalom prit la fuite. Or le jeune homme placé en sentinelle leva les yeux et regarda. Et voici, une grande troupe venait par le chemin qui était derrière lui, du côté de la montagne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέδρα Αβεσσαλωμ καὶ ἠ̃ρεν τὸ παιδάριον ὁ σκοπὸς τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃δεν καὶ ἰδοὺ λαὸς πολὺς πορευόμενος ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ ὄπισθεν αὐτου̃ ἐκ πλευρα̃ς του̃ ὄρους ἐν τη̨̃ καταβάσει καὶ παρεγένετο ὁ σκοπὸς καὶ ἀπήγγειλεν τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἄνδρας ἑώρακα ἐκ τη̃ς ὁδου̃ τη̃ς Ωρωνην ἐκ μέρους του̃ ὄρους (Ⅲ)

- Fugit autem Absalom. Et elevavit puer speculator oculos suos, et aspexit : et ecce populus multus veniebat per iter devium ex latere montis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 34 ׃13 ויברח אבשלום וישא הנער הצפה את *עינו **עיניו וירא והנה עם רב הלכים מדרך אחריו מצד ההר ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 35

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

- Jonadab dit au roi: Voici les fils du roi qui arrivent! Ainsi se confirme ce que disait ton serviteur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ιωναδαβ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ἰδοὺ οἱ υἱοὶ του̃ βασιλέως πάρεισιν κατὰ τὸν λόγον του̃ δούλου σου οὕτως ἐγένετο (Ⅲ)

- Dixit autem Jonadab ad regem : Ecce filii regis adsunt : juxta verbum servi tui, sic factum est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 35 ׃13 ויאמר יונדב אל המלך הנה בני המלך באו כדבר עבדך כן היה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 36

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

- Comme il achevait de parler, voici, les fils du roi arrivèrent. Ils élevèrent la voix, et pleurèrent; le roi aussi et tous ses serviteurs versèrent d'abondantes larmes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα συνετέλεσεν λαλω̃ν καὶ ἰδοὺ οἱ υἱοὶ του̃ βασιλέως ἠ̃λθαν καὶ ἐπη̃ραν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἔκλαυσαν καί γε ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ πάντες οἱ παι̃δες αὐτου̃ ἔκλαυσαν κλαυθμὸν μέγαν σφόδρα (Ⅲ)

- Cumque cessasset loqui, apparuerunt et filii regis : et intrantes levaverunt vocem suam, et fleverunt : sed et rex et omnes servi ejus fleverunt ploratu magno nimis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 36 ׃13 ויהי ככלתו לדבר והנה בני המלך באו וישאו קולם ויבכו וגם המלך וכל עבדיו בכו בכי גדול מאד ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 37

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

- Absalom s'était enfui, et il alla chez Talmaï, fils d'Ammihur, roi de Gueschur. Et David pleurait tous les jours son fils. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Αβεσσαλωμ ἔφυγεν καὶ ἐπορεύθη πρὸς Θολμαι υἱὸν Εμιουδ βασιλέα Γεδσουρ εἰς γη̃ν Μαχαδ καὶ ἐπένθησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Δαυιδ ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτου̃ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας (Ⅲ)

- Porro Absalom fugiens abiit ad Tholomai filium Ammiud regem Gessur. Luxit ergo David filium suum cunctis diebus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 37 ׃13 ואבשלום ברח וילך אל תלמי בן *עמיחור **עמיהוד מלך גשור ויתאבל על בנו כל הימים ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 38

So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.

- Absalom resta trois ans à Gueschur, où il était allé, après avoir pris la fuite. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Αβεσσαλωμ ἀπέδρα καὶ ἐπορεύθη εἰς Γεδσουρ καὶ ἠ̃ν ἐκει̃ ἔτη τρία (Ⅲ)

- Absalom autem cum fugisset, et venisset in Gessur, fuit ibi tribus annis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 38 ׃13 ואבשלום ברח וילך גשור ויהי שם שלש שנים ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 39

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.

- Le roi David cessa de poursuivre Absalom, car il était consolé de la mort d'Amnon. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκόπασεν τὸ πνευ̃μα του̃ βασιλέως του̃ ἐξελθει̃ν ὀπίσω Αβεσσαλωμ ὅτι παρεκλήθη ἐπὶ Αμνων ὅτι ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Cessavitque rex David persequi Absalom, eo quod consolatus esset super Amnon interitu. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 39 ׃13 ותכל דוד המלך לצאת אל אבשלום כי נחם על אמנון כי מת ס‬ (Ⅴ)
