24. 1  
And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.
- La colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma de nouveau contre Israël, et il excita David contre eux, en disant: Va, fais le dénombrement d'Israël et de Juda. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ προσέθετο ὀργὴ κυρίου ἐκκαη̃ναι ἐν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπέσεισεν τὸν Δαυιδ ἐν αὐτοι̃ς λέγων βάδιζε ἀρίθμησον τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ τὸν Ιουδα (Ⅲ)
- Et addidit furor Domini irasci contra Israël, commovitque David in eis dicentem : Vade, numera Israël et Judam. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃24  ויסף אף יהוה לחרות בישראל ויסת את דוד בהם לאמר לך מנה את ישראל ואת יהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 2  
For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.
- Et le roi dit à Joab, qui était chef de l'armée et qui se trouvait près de lui: Parcours toutes les tribus d'Israël, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer Schéba; qu'on fasse le dénombrement du peuple, et que je sache à combien il s'élève. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς Ιωαβ ἄρχοντα τη̃ς ἰσχύος τὸν μετ' αὐτου̃ δίελθε δὴ πάσας φυλὰς Ισραηλ ἀπὸ Δαν καὶ ἕως Βηρσαβεε καὶ ἐπίσκεψαι τὸν λαόν καὶ γνώσομαι τὸν ἀριθμὸν του̃ λαου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque rex ad Joab principem exercitus sui : Perambula omnes tribus Israël a Dan usque Bersabee, et numerate populum, ut sciam numerum ejus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃24  ויאמר המלך אל יואב שר החיל אשר אתו שוט נא בכל שבטי ישראל מדן ועד באר שבע ופקדו את העם וידעתי את מספר העם ס‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 3  
And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?
- Joab dit au roi: Que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, rende le peuple cent fois plus nombreux, et que les yeux du roi mon seigneur le voient! Mais pourquoi le roi mon seigneur veut-il faire cela? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ιωαβ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ προσθείη κύριος ὁ θεός σου πρὸς τὸν λαὸν ὥσπερ αὐτοὺς καὶ ὥσπερ αὐτοὺς ἑκατονταπλασίονα καὶ ὀφθαλμοὶ του̃ κυρίου μου του̃ βασιλέως ὁρω̃ντες καὶ ὁ κύριός μου ὁ βασιλεὺς ἵνα τί βούλεται ἐν τω̨̃ λόγω̨ τούτω̨ (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque Joab regi : Adaugeat Dominus Deus tuus ad populum tuum, quantus nunc est, iterumque centuplicet in conspectu domini mei regis : sed quid sibi dominus meus rex vult in re hujuscemodi ? (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃24  ויאמר יואב אל המלך ויוסף יהוה אלהיך אל העם כהם וכהם מאה פעמים ועיני אדני המלך ראות ואדני המלך למה חפץ בדבר הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 4  
Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.
- Le roi persista dans l'ordre qu'il donnait à Joab et aux chefs de l'armée; et Joab et les chefs de l'armée quittèrent le roi pour faire le dénombrement du peuple d'Israël. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὑπερίσχυσεν ὁ λόγος του̃ βασιλέως πρὸς Ιωαβ καὶ εἰς τοὺς ἄρχοντας τη̃ς δυνάμεως καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ιωαβ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τη̃ς ἰσχύος ἐνώπιον του̃ βασιλέως ἐπισκέψασθαι τὸν λαὸν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)
- Obtinuit autem sermo regis verba Joab et principum exercitus : egressusque est Joab et princeps militum a facie regis, ut numerarent populum Israël. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃24  ויחזק דבר המלך אל יואב ועל שרי החיל ויצא יואב ושרי החיל לפני המלך לפקד את העם את ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 5  
And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:
- Ils passèrent le Jourdain, et ils campèrent à Aroër, à droite de la ville qui est au milieu de la vallée de Gad, et près de Jaezer. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ διέβησαν τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Αροηρ ἐκ δεξιω̃ν τη̃ς πόλεως τη̃ς ἐν μέσω̨ τη̃ς φάραγγος Γαδ καὶ Ελιεζερ (Ⅲ)
- Cumque pertransissent Jordanem, venerunt in Aroër ad dexteram urbis, quæ est in valle Gad : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃24  ויעברו את הירדן ויחנו בערוער ימין העיר אשר בתוך הנחל הגד ואל יעזר ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 6  
Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtimhodshi; and they came to Danjaan, and about to Zidon,
- Ils allèrent en Galaad et dans le pays de Thachthim Hodschi. Ils allèrent à Dan Jaan, et aux environs de Sidon. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς τὴν Γαλααδ καὶ εἰς γη̃ν Θαβασων ἥ ἐστιν Αδασαι καὶ παρεγένοντο εἰς Δανιδαν καὶ Ουδαν καὶ ἐκύκλωσαν εἰς Σιδω̃να (Ⅲ)
- et per Jazer transierunt in Galaad, et in terram inferiorem Hodsi, et venerunt in Dan silvestria. Circumeuntesque juxta Sidonem, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃24  ויבאו הגלעדה ואל ארץ תחתים חדשי ויבאו דנה יען וסביב אל צידון ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 7  
And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba.
- Ils allèrent à la forteresse de Tyr, et dans toutes les villes des Héviens et des Cananéens. Ils terminèrent par le midi de Juda, à Beer Schéba. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠ̃λθαν εἰς Μαψαρ Τύρου καὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις του̃ Ευαίου καὶ του̃ Χαναναίου καὶ ἠ̃λθαν κατὰ νότον Ιουδα εἰς Βηρσαβεε (Ⅲ)
- transierunt prope mœnia Tyri, et omnem terram Hevæi et Chananæi, veneruntque ad meridiem Juda in Bersabee : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃24  ויבאו‪[c]‬ מבצר צר וכל ערי החוי והכנעני ויצאו אל נגב יהודה באר שבע ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 8  
So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
- Ils parcoururent ainsi tout le pays, et ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem au bout de neuf mois et vingt jours. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ περιώδευσαν ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ καὶ παρεγένοντο ἀπὸ τέλους ἐννέα μηνω̃ν καὶ εἴκοσι ἡμερω̃ν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ)
- et lustrata universa terra, affuerunt post novem menses et viginti dies in Jerusalem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃24  וישטו בכל הארץ ויבאו מקצה תשעה חדשים ועשרים יום ירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 9  
And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.
- Joab remit au roi le rôle du dénombrement du peuple: il y avait en Israël huit cent mille hommes de guerre tirant l'épée, et en Juda cinq cent mille hommes. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔδωκεν Ιωαβ τὸν ἀριθμὸν τη̃ς ἐπισκέψεως του̃ λαου̃ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ἐγένετο Ισραηλ ὀκτακόσιαι χιλιάδες ἀνδρω̃ν δυνάμεως σπωμένων ῥομφαίαν καὶ ἀνὴρ Ιουδα πεντακόσιαι χιλιάδες ἀνδρω̃ν μαχητω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Dedit ergo Joab numerum descriptionis populi regi, et inventa sunt de Israël octingenta millia virorum fortium qui educerent gladium, et de Juda quingenta millia pugnatorum.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃24  ויתן יואב את מספר מפקד העם אל המלך ותהי ישראל שמנה מאות אלף איש חיל שלף חרב ואיש יהודה חמש מאות אלף איש ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 10  
And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
- David sentit battre son coeur, après qu'il eut ainsi fait le dénombrement du peuple. Et il dit à l'Éternel: J'ai commis un grand péché en faisant cela! Maintenant, ô Éternel, daigne pardonner l'iniquité de ton serviteur, car j'ai complètement agi en insensé! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπάταξεν καρδία Δαυιδ αὐτὸν μετὰ τὸ ἀριθμη̃σαι τὸν λαόν καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ πρὸς κύριον ἥμαρτον σφόδρα ὃ ἐποίησα νυ̃ν κύριε παραβίβασον δὴ τὴν ἀνομίαν του̃ δούλου σου ὅτι ἐμωράνθην σφόδρα (Ⅲ)
- Percussit autem cor David eum, postquam numeratus est populus : et dixit David ad Dominum : Peccavi valde in hoc facto : sed precor, Domine, ut transferas iniquitatem servi tui, quia stulte egi nimis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃24  ויך לב דוד אתו אחרי כן ספר את העם סויאמר דוד אל יהוה חטאתי מאד אשר עשיתי ועתה יהוה העבר נא את עון עבדך כי נסכלתי מאד ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 11  
For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,
- Le lendemain, quand David se leva, la parole de l'Éternel fut ainsi adressée à Gad le prophète, le voyant de David: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀνέστη Δαυιδ τὸ πρωί καὶ λόγος κυρίου ἐγένετο πρὸς Γαδ τὸν προφήτην τὸν ὁρω̃ντα Δαυιδ λέγων (Ⅲ)
- Surrexit itaque David mane, et sermo Domini factus est ad Gad prophetam et videntem David, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃24  ויקם דוד בבקר פודבר יהוה היה אל גד הנביא חזה דוד לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 12  
Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.
- Va dire à David: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Je te propose trois fléaux; choisis-en un, et je t'en frapperai. (Ⅱ)
- πορεύθητι καὶ λάλησον πρὸς Δαυιδ λέγων τάδε λέγει κύριος τρία ἐγώ εἰμι αἴρω ἐπὶ σέ καὶ ἔκλεξαι σεαυτω̨̃ ἓν ἐξ αὐτω̃ν καὶ ποιήσω σοι (Ⅲ)
- Vade, et loquere ad David : Hæc dicit Dominus : Trium tibi datur optio : elige unum quod volueris ex his, ut faciam tibi. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃24  הלוך ודברת אל דוד כה אמר יהוה שלש אנכי נוטל עליך בחר לך אחת מהם ואעשה לך ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 13  
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
- Gad alla vers David, et lui fit connaître la chose, en disant: Veux-tu sept années de famine dans ton pays, ou bien trois mois de fuite devant tes ennemis qui te poursuivront, ou bien trois jours de peste dans ton pays? Maintenant choisis, et vois ce que je dois répondre à celui qui m'envoie. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰση̃λθεν Γαδ πρὸς Δαυιδ καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἔκλεξαι σεαυτω̨̃ γενέσθαι εἰ ἔλθη̨ σοι τρία ἔτη λιμὸς ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ σου ἢ τρει̃ς μη̃νας φεύγειν σε ἔμπροσθεν τω̃ν ἐχθρω̃ν σου καὶ ἔσονται διώκοντές σε ἢ γενέσθαι τρει̃ς ἡμέρας θάνατον ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ σου νυ̃ν οὐ̃ν γνω̃θι καὶ ἰδὲ τί ἀποκριθω̃ τω̨̃ ἀποστείλαντί με ῥη̃μα (Ⅲ)
- Cumque venisset Gad ad David, nuntiavit ei, dicens : Aut septem annis veniet tibi fames in terra tua : aut tribus mensibus fugies adversarios tuos, et ille te persequentur : aut certe tribus diebus erit pestilentia in terra tua. Nunc ergo delibera, et vide quem respondeam ei qui me misit sermonem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃24  ויבא גד אל דוד ויגד לו ויאמר לו התבוא לך שבע שנים רעב בארצך אם שלשה חדשים נסך‪[c]‬ לפני צריך והוא רדפך ואם היות שלשת ימים דבר בארצך עתה דע וראה מה אשיב שלחי דבר ס‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 14  
And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
- David répondit à Gad: Je suis dans une grande angoisse! Oh! tombons entre les mains de l'Éternel, car ses compassions sont immenses; mais que je ne tombe pas entre les mains des hommes! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Γαδ στενά μοι πάντοθεν σφόδρα ἐστίν ἐμπεσου̃μαι δὴ ἐν χειρὶ κυρίου ὅτι πολλοὶ οἱ οἰκτιρμοὶ αὐτου̃ σφόδρα εἰς δὲ χει̃ρας ἀνθρώπου οὐ μὴ ἐμπέσω καὶ ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτω̨̃ Δαυιδ τὸν θάνατον (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem David ad Gad : Coarctor nimis : sed melius est ut incidam in manus Domini (multæ enim misericordiæ ejus sunt) quam in manus hominum.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃24  ויאמר דוד אל גד צר לי מאד נפלה נא ביד יהוה כי רבים *רחמו **רחמיו וביד אדם אל אפלה ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 15  
So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.
- L'Éternel envoya la peste en Israël, depuis le matin jusqu'au temps fixé; et, de Dan à Beer Schéba, il mourut soixante-dix mille hommes parmi le peuple. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἡμέραι θερισμου̃ πυρω̃ν καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος ἐν Ισραηλ θάνατον ἀπὸ πρωίθεν ἕως ὥρας ἀρίστου καὶ ἤρξατο ἡ θραυ̃σις ἐν τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐκ του̃ λαου̃ ἀπὸ Δαν καὶ ἕως Βηρσαβεε ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες ἀνδρω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Immisitque Dominus pestilentiam in Israël, de mane usque ad tempus constitutum, et mortui sunt ex populo a Dan usque ad Bersabee septuaginta millia virorum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃24  ויתן יהוה דבר בישראל מהבקר ועד עת מועד וימת מן העם מדן ועד באר שבע שבעים אלף איש ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 16  
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.
- Comme l'ange étendait la main sur Jérusalem pour la détruire, l'Éternel se repentit de ce mal, et il dit à l'ange qui faisait périr le peuple: Assez! Retire maintenant ta main. L'ange de l'Éternel était près de l'aire d'Aravna, le Jébusien. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐξέτεινεν ὁ ἄγγελος του̃ θεου̃ τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ του̃ διαφθει̃ραι αὐτήν καὶ παρεκλήθη κύριος ἐπὶ τη̨̃ κακία̨ καὶ εἰ̃πεν τω̨̃ ἀγγέλω̨ τω̨̃ διαφθείροντι ἐν τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ πολὺ νυ̃ν ἄνες τὴν χει̃ρά σου καὶ ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου ἠ̃ν παρὰ τω̨̃ ἅλω̨ Ορνα του̃ Ιεβουσαίου (Ⅲ)
- Cumque extendisset manum suam angelus Domini super Jerusalem ut disperderet eam, misertus est Dominus super afflictione, et ait angelo percutienti populum : Sufficit : nunc contine manum tuam. Erat autem angelus Domini juxta aream Areuna Jebusæi. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃24  וישלח ידו המלאך ירושלם לשחתה וינחם יהוה אל הרעה ויאמר למלאך המשחית בעם רב עתה הרף ידך ומלאך יהוה היה עם גרן *האורנה **הארונה היבסי ס‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 17  
And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.
- David, voyant l'ange qui frappait parmi le peuple, dit à l'Éternel: Voici, j'ai péché! C'est moi qui suis coupable; mais ces brebis, qu'ont-elles fait? Que ta main soit donc sur moi et sur la maison de mon père! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ πρὸς κύριον ἐν τω̨̃ ἰδει̃ν αὐτὸν τὸν ἄγγελον τύπτοντα ἐν τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ ἐγώ εἰμι ἠδίκησα καὶ ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ποιμὴν ἐκακοποίησα καὶ οὑ̃τοι τὰ πρόβατα τί ἐποίησαν γενέσθω δὴ ἡ χείρ σου ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ του̃ πατρός μου (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque David ad Dominum cum vidisset angelum cædentem populum : Ego sum qui peccavi, ego inique egi : isti qui oves sunt, quid fecerunt ? vertatur, obsecro, manus tua contra me, et contra domum patris mei.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃24  ויאמר דוד אל יהוה בראתו את המלאך המכה בעם ויאמר הנה אנכי חטאתי ואנכי העויתי ואלה הצאן מה עשו תהי נא ידך בי ובבית אבי פ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 18  
And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite.
- Ce jour-là, Gad vint auprès de David, et lui dit: Monte, élève un autel à l'Éternel dans l'aire d'Aravna, le Jébusien. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Γαδ πρὸς Δαυιδ ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἀνάβηθι καὶ στη̃σον τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θυσιαστήριον ἐν τω̨̃ ἅλωνι Ορνα του̃ Ιεβουσαίου (Ⅲ)
- Venit autem Gad ad David in die illa, et dixit ei : Ascende, et constitue altare Domino in area Areuna Jebusæi. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃24  ויבא גד אל דוד ביום ההוא ויאמר לו עלה הקם ליהוה מזבח בגרן *ארניה **ארונה היבסי ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 19  
And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.
- David monta, selon la parole de Gad, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀνέβη Δαυιδ κατὰ τὸν λόγον Γαδ καθ' ὃν τρόπον ἐνετείλατο αὐτω̨̃ κύριος (Ⅲ)
- Et ascendit David juxta sermonem Gad, quem præceperat ei Dominus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃24  ויעל דוד כדבר גד כאשר צוה יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 20  
And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.
- Aravna regarda, et il vit le roi et ses serviteurs qui se dirigeaient vers lui; et Aravna sortit, et se prosterna devant le roi, le visage contre terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ διέκυψεν Ορνα καὶ εἰ̃δεν τὸν βασιλέα καὶ τοὺς παι̃δας αὐτου̃ παραπορευομένους ἐπάνω αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ορνα καὶ προσεκύνησεν τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Conspiciensque Areuna, animadvertit regem et servos ejus transire ad se : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃24  וישקף ארונה וירא את המלך ואת עבדיו עברים עליו ויצא ארונה וישתחו למלך אפיו ארצה ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 21  
And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
- Aravna dit: Pourquoi mon seigneur le roi vient-il vers son serviteur? Et David répondit: Pour acheter de toi l'aire et pour y bâtir un autel à l'Éternel, afin que la plaie se retire de dessus le peuple. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ορνα τί ὅτι ἠ̃λθεν ὁ κύριός μου ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς τὸν δου̃λον αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ κτήσασθαι παρὰ σου̃ τὸν ἅλωνα του̃ οἰκοδομη̃σαι θυσιαστήριον τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ συσχεθη̨̃ ἡ θραυ̃σις ἐπάνω του̃ λαου̃ (Ⅲ)
- et egressus adoravit regem prono vultu in terram, et ait : Quid causæ est ut veniat dominus meus rex ad servum suum ? Cui David ait : Ut emam a te aream, et ædificem altare Domino, et cesset interfectio quæ grassatur in populo. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃24  ויאמר ארונה מדוע בא אדני המלך אל עבדו ויאמר דוד לקנות מעמך את הגרן לבנות מזבח ליהוה ותעצר המגפה מעל העם ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 22  
And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
- Aravna dit à David: Que mon seigneur le roi prenne l'aire, et qu'il y offre les sacrifices qu'il lui plaira; vois, les boeufs seront pour l'holocauste, et les chars avec l'attelage serviront de bois. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ορνα πρὸς Δαυιδ λαβέτω καὶ ἀνενεγκέτω ὁ κύριός μου ὁ βασιλεὺς τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ τὸ ἀγαθὸν ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς αὐτου̃ ἰδοὺ οἱ βόες εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα καὶ οἱ τροχοὶ καὶ τὰ σκεύη τω̃ν βοω̃ν εἰς ξύλα (Ⅲ)
- Et ait Areuna ad David : Accipiat, et offerat dominus meus rex sicut placet ei : habes boves in holocaustum, et plaustrum, et juga boum in usum lignorum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃24  ויאמר ארונה אל דוד יקח ויעל אדני המלך הטוב *בעינו **בעיניו ראה הבקר לעלה והמרגים וכלי הבקר לעצים ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 23  
All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.
- Aravna donna le tout au roi. Et Aravna dit au roi: Que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te soit favorable! (Ⅱ)
- τὰ πάντα ἔδωκεν Ορνα τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ορνα πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα κύριος ὁ θεός σου εὐλογήσαι σε (Ⅲ)
- Omnia dedit Areuna rex regi : dixitque Areuna ad regem : Dominus Deus tuus suscipiat votum tuum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃24  הכל נתן ארונה המלך למלך סויאמר ארונה אל המלך יהוה אלהיך ירצך ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 24  
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
- Mais le roi dit à Aravna: Non! Je veux l'acheter de toi à prix d'argent, et je n'offrirai point à l'Éternel, mon Dieu, des holocaustes qui ne me coûtent rien. Et David acheta l'aire et les boeufs pour cinquante sicles d'argent. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς Ορνα οὐχί ὅτι ἀλλὰ κτώμενος κτήσομαι παρὰ σου̃ ἐν ἀλλάγματι καὶ οὐκ ἀνοίσω τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θεω̨̃ μου ὁλοκαύτωμα δωρεάν καὶ ἐκτήσατο Δαυιδ τὸν ἅλωνα καὶ τοὺς βόας ἐν ἀργυρίω̨ σίκλων πεντήκοντα (Ⅲ)
- Cui respondens rex, ait : Nequaquam ut vis, sed emam pretio a te, et non offeram Domino Deo meo holocausta gratuita. Emit ergo David aream, et boves, argenti siclis quinquaginta : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃24  ויאמר המלך אל ארונה לא‪[c]‬ כי קנו אקנה מאותך במחיר ולא אעלה ליהוה אלהי עלות חנם ויקן דוד את הגרן ואת הבקר בכסף שקלים חמשים ‬ (Ⅴ)
24. 25  
And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
- David bâtit là un autel à l'Éternel, et il offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces. Alors l'Éternel fut apaisé envers le pays, et la plaie se retira d'Israël. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν ἐκει̃ Δαυιδ θυσιαστήριον κυρίω̨ καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ὁλοκαυτώσεις καὶ εἰρηνικάς καὶ προσέθηκεν Σαλωμων ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐπ' ἐσχάτω̨ ὅτι μικρὸν ἠ̃ν ἐν πρώτοις καὶ ἐπήκουσεν κύριος τη̨̃ γη̨̃ καὶ συνεσχέθη ἡ θραυ̃σις ἐπάνωθεν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)
- et ædificavit ibi David altare Domino, et obtulit holocausta et pacifica : et propitiatus est Dominus terræ, et cohibita est plaga ab Israël. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃24  ויבן שם דוד מזבח ליהוה ויעל עלות ושלמים ויעתר יהוה לארץ ותעצר המגפה מעל ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)
