13. 1

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

- Voici, un homme de Dieu arriva de Juda à Béthel, par la parole de l'Éternel, pendant que Jéroboam se tenait à l'autel pour brûler des parfums. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἰδοὺ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ ἐξ Ιουδα παρεγένετο ἐν λόγω̨ κυρίου εἰς Βαιθηλ καὶ Ιεροβοαμ εἱστήκει ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον του̃ ἐπιθυ̃σαι (Ⅲ)

- Et ecce vir Dei venit de Juda in sermone Domini in Bethel, Jeroboam stante super altare, et thus jaciente. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃13 והנה איש אלהים בא מיהודה בדבר יהוה אל בית אל וירבעם עמד על המזבח להקטיר ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 2

And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.

- Il cria contre l'autel, par la parole de l'Éternel, et il dit: Autel! autel! ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, il naîtra un fils à la maison de David; son nom sera Josias; il immolera sur toi les prêtres des hauts lieux qui brûlent sur toi des parfums, et l'on brûlera sur toi des ossements d'hommes! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπεκάλεσεν πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐν λόγω̨ κυρίου καὶ εἰ̃πεν θυσιαστήριον θυσιαστήριον τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ υἱὸς τίκτεται τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ Δαυιδ Ιωσιας ὄνομα αὐτω̨̃ καὶ θύσει ἐπὶ σὲ τοὺς ἱερει̃ς τω̃ν ὑψηλω̃ν τοὺς ἐπιθύοντας ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ὀστα̃ ἀνθρώπων καύσει ἐπὶ σέ (Ⅲ)

- Et exclamavit contra altare in sermone Domini, et ait : Altare, altare, hæc dicit Dominus : Ecce filius nascetur domui David, Josias nomine, et immolabit super te sacerdotes excelsorum, qui nunc in te thura succendunt : et ossa hominum super te incendet. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃13 ויקרא על המזבח בדבר יהוה ויאמר מזבח מזבח כה אמר יהוה הנה בן נולד לבית דוד יאשיהו שמו וזבח עליך את כהני הבמות המקטרים עליך ועצמות אדם ישרפו עליך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 3

And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.

- Et le même jour il donna un signe, en disant: C'est ici le signe que l'Éternel a parlé: Voici, l'autel se fendra, et la cendre qui est dessus sera répandue. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ τέρας λέγων του̃το τὸ ῥη̃μα ὃ ἐλάλησεν κύριος λέγων ἰδοὺ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ῥήγνυται καὶ ἐκχυθήσεται ἡ πιότης ἡ ἐπ' αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Deditque in illa die signum, dicens : Hoc erit signum quod locutus est Dominus : ecce altare scindetur, et effundetur cinis qui in eo est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃13 ונתן ביום ההוא מופת לאמר זה המופת אשר דבר יהוה הנה המזבח נקרע ונשפך הדשן אשר עליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 4

And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

- Lorsque le roi entendit la parole que l'homme de Dieu avait criée contre l'autel de Béthel, il avança la main de dessus l'autel, en disant: Saisissez le! Et la main que Jéroboam avait étendue contre lui devint sèche, et il ne put la ramener à soi. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιεροβοαμ τω̃ν λόγων του̃ ἀνθρώπου του̃ θεου̃ του̃ ἐπικαλεσαμένου ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ ἐν Βαιθηλ καὶ ἐξέτεινεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ του̃ θυσιαστηρίου λέγων συλλάβετε αὐτόν καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐξηράνθη ἡ χεὶρ αὐτου̃ ἣν ἐξέτεινεν ἐπ' αὐτόν καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθη ἐπιστρέψαι αὐτὴν πρὸς ἑαυτόν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque audisset rex sermonem hominis Dei quem inclamaverat contra altare in Bethel, extendit manum suam de altari, dicens : Apprehendite eum. Et exaruit manus ejus quam extenderat contra eum, nec valuit retrahere eam ad se. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃13 ויהי כשמע המלך את דבר איש האלהים אשר קרא על המזבח בבית אל וישלח ירבעם את ידו מעל המזבח לאמר תפשהו ותיבש ידו אשר שלח עליו ולא יכל להשיבה אליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 5

The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.

- L'autel se fendit, et la cendre qui était dessus fut répandue, selon le signe qu'avait donné l'homme de Dieu, par la parole de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐρράγη καὶ ἐξεχύθη ἡ πιότης ἀπὸ του̃ θυσιαστηρίου κατὰ τὸ τέρας ὃ ἔδωκεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ ἐν λόγω̨ κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Altare quoque scissum est, et effusus est cinis de altari, juxta signum quod prædixerat vir Dei in sermone Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃13 והמזבח נקרע וישפך הדשן מן המזבח כמופת אשר נתן איש האלהים בדבר יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 6

And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Entreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

- Alors le roi prit la parole, et dit à l'homme de Dieu: Implore l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et prie pour moi, afin que je puisse retirer ma main. L'homme de Dieu implora l'Éternel, et le roi put retirer sa main, qui fut comme auparavant. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιεροβοαμ τω̨̃ ἀνθρώπω̨ του̃ θεου̃ δεήθητι του̃ προσώπου κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου καὶ ἐπιστρεψάτω ἡ χείρ μου πρός με καὶ ἐδεήθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ του̃ προσώπου κυρίου καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν τὴν χει̃ρα του̃ βασιλέως πρὸς αὐτόν καὶ ἐγένετο καθὼς τὸ πρότερον (Ⅲ)

- Et ait rex ad virum Dei : Deprecare faciem Domini Dei tui, et ora pro me, ut restituatur manus mea mihi. Oravitque vir Dei faciem Domini, et reversa est manus regis ad eum, et facta est sicut prius fuerat. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃13 ויען המלך ויאמר אל איש האלהים חל נא את פני יהוה אלהיך והתפלל בעדי ותשב ידי אלי ויחל איש האלהים את פני יהוה ותשב יד המלך אליו ותהי כבראשנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 7

And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.

- Le roi dit à l'homme de Dieu: Entre avec moi dans la maison, tu prendras quelque nourriture, et je te donnerai un présent. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐλάλησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον του̃ θεου̃ εἴσελθε μετ' ἐμου̃ εἰς οἰ̃κον καὶ ἀρίστησον καὶ δώσω σοι δόμα (Ⅲ)

- Locutus est autem rex ad virum Dei : Veni mecum domum ut prandeas, et dabo tibi munera. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃13 וידבר המלך אל איש האלהים באה אתי הביתה וסעדה ואתנה לך מתת ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 8

And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:

- L'homme de Dieu dit au roi: Quand tu me donnerais la moitié de ta maison, je n'entrerais pas avec toi. Je ne mangerai point de pain, et je ne boirai point d'eau dans ce lieu-ci; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ἐάν μοι δω̨̃ς τὸ ἥμισυ του̃ οἴκου σου οὐκ εἰσελεύσομαι μετὰ σου̃ οὐδὲ μὴ φάγω ἄρτον οὐδὲ μὴ πίω ὕδωρ ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Responditque vir Dei ad regem : Si dederis mihi mediam partem domus tuæ, non veniam tecum, nec comedam panem, neque bibam aquam in loco isto : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃13 ויאמר איש האלהים אל המלך אם תתן לי את חצי ביתך לא אבא עמך ולא אכל לחם ולא אשתה מים במקום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 9

For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.

- car cet ordre m'a été donné, par la parole de l'Éternel: Tu ne mangeras point de pain et tu ne boiras point d'eau, et tu ne prendras pas à ton retour le chemin par lequel tu seras allé. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι οὕτως ἐνετείλατό μοι ἐν λόγω̨ κύριος λέγων μὴ φάγη̨ς ἄρτον καὶ μὴ πίη̨ς ὕδωρ καὶ μὴ ἐπιστρέψη̨ς ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἐπορεύθης ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- sic enim mandatum est mihi in sermone Domini præcipientis : Non comedes panem, neque bibes aquam, nec reverteris per viam qua venisti. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃13 כי כן צוה אתי בדבר יהוה לאמר לא תאכל לחם ולא תשתה מים ולא תשוב בדרך אשר הלכת ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 10

So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.

- Et il s'en alla par un autre chemin, il ne prit pas à son retour le chemin par lequel il était venu à Béthel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν ἐν ὁδω̨̃ ἄλλη̨ καὶ οὐκ ἀνέστρεψεν ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἠ̃λθεν ἐν αὐτη̨̃ εἰς Βαιθηλ (Ⅲ)

- Abiit ergo per aliam viam, et non est reversus per iter quo venerat in Bethel.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃13 וילך בדרך אחר ולא שב בדרך אשר בא בה אל בית אל פ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 11

Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.

- Or il y avait un vieux prophète qui demeurait à Béthel. Ses fils vinrent lui raconter toutes les choses que l'homme de Dieu avait faites à Béthel ce jour-là, et les paroles qu'il avait dites au roi. Lorsqu'ils en eurent fait le récit à leur père, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ προφήτης εἱ̃ς πρεσβύτης κατώ̨κει ἐν Βαιθηλ καὶ ἔρχονται οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ διηγήσαντο αὐτω̨̃ ἅπαντα τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐποίησεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἐν Βαιθηλ καὶ τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἐλάλησεν τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν τὸ πρόσωπον του̃ πατρὸς αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Prophetes autem quidam senex habitabat in Bethel : ad quem venerunt filii sui, et narraverunt ei omnia opera quæ fecerat vir Dei illa die in Bethel : et verba quæ locutus fuerat ad regem, narraverunt patri suo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃13 ונביא אחד זקן ישב בבית אל ויבוא בנו ויספר לו את כל המעשה אשר עשה איש האלהים היום בבית אל את הדברים אשר דבר אל המלך ויספרום לאביהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 12

And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.

- il leur dit: Par quel chemin s'en est-il allé? Ses fils avaient vu par quel chemin s'en était allé l'homme de Dieu qui était venu de Juda. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὁ πατὴρ αὐτω̃ν λέγων ποία̨ ὁδω̨̃ πεπόρευται καὶ δεικνύουσιν αὐτω̨̃ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ τὴν ὁδὸν ἐν ἡ̨̃ ἀνη̃λθεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ ὁ ἐλθὼν ἐξ Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- Et dixit eis pater eorum : Per quam viam abiit ? Ostenderunt ei filii sui viam per quam abierat vir Dei, qui venerat de Juda. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃13 וידבר אלהם אביהם אי זה הדרך הלך ויראו בניו את הדרך אשר הלך איש האלהים אשר בא מיהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 13

And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,

- Et il dit à ses fils: Sellez-moi l'âne. Ils lui sellèrent l'âne, et il monta dessus. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτου̃ ἐπισάξατέ μοι τὸν ὄνον καὶ ἐπέσαξαν αὐτω̨̃ τὸν ὄνον καὶ ἐπέβη ἐπ' αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Et ait filiis suis : Sternite mihi asinum. Qui cum stravissent, ascendit, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃13 ויאמר אל בניו חבשו לי החמור ויחבשו לו החמור וירכב עליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 14

And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.

- Il alla après l'homme de Dieu, et il le trouva assis sous un térébinthe. Il lui dit: Es-tu l'homme de Dieu qui est venu de Juda? Il répondit: Je le suis. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη κατόπισθεν του̃ ἀνθρώπου του̃ θεου̃ καὶ εὑ̃ρεν αὐτὸν καθήμενον ὑπὸ δρυ̃ν καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ εἰ σὺ εἰ̃ ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ ὁ ἐληλυθὼς ἐξ Ιουδα καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἐγώ (Ⅲ)

- et abiit post virum Dei, et invenit eum sedentem subtus terebinthum : et ait illi : Tune es vir Dei qui venisti de Juda ? Respondit ille : Ego sum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃13 וילך אחרי איש האלהים וימצאהו ישב תחת האלה ויאמר אליו האתה איש האלהים אשר באת מיהודה ויאמר אני ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 15

Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.

- Alors il lui dit: Viens avec moi à la maison, et tu prendras quelque nourriture. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ δευ̃ρο μετ' ἐμου̃ καὶ φάγε ἄρτον (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque ad eum : Veni mecum domum, ut comedas panem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃13 ויאמר אליו לך אתי הביתה ואכל לחם ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 16

And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:

- Mais il répondit: Je ne puis ni retourner avec toi, ni entrer chez toi. Je ne mangerai point de pain, je ne boirai point d'eau avec toi en ce lieu-ci; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν οὐ μὴ δύνωμαι του̃ ἐπιστρέψαι μετὰ σου̃ οὐδὲ μὴ φάγομαι ἄρτον οὐδὲ πίομαι ὕδωρ ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Qui ait : Non possum reverti, neque venire tecum : nec comedam panem, neque bibam aquam in loco isto, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃13 ויאמר לא אוכל לשוב אתך ולבוא אתך ולא אכל לחם ולא אשתה אתך מים במקום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 17

For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.

- car il m'a été dit, par la parole de l'Éternel: Tu n'y mangeras point de pain et tu n'y boiras point d'eau, et tu ne prendras pas à ton retour le chemin par lequel tu seras allé. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι οὕτως ἐντέταλταί μοι ἐν λόγω̨ κύριος λέγων μὴ φάγη̨ς ἄρτον ἐκει̃ καὶ μὴ πίη̨ς ὕδωρ ἐκει̃ καὶ μὴ ἐπιστρέψη̨ς ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἐπορεύθης ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- quia locutus est Dominus ad me in sermone Domini, dicens : Non comedes panem, et non bibes aquam ibi, nec reverteris per viam qua ieris. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃13 כי דבר אלי בדבר יהוה לא תאכל לחם ולא תשתה שם מים לא תשוב ללכת בדרך אשר הלכת בה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 18

He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.

- Et il lui dit: Moi aussi, je suis prophète comme toi; et un ange m'a parlé de la part de l'Éternel, et m'a dit: Ramène-le avec toi dans ta maison, et qu'il mange du pain et boive de l'eau. Il lui mentait. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν κἀγὼ προφήτης εἰμὶ καθὼς σύ καὶ ἄγγελος λελάληκεν πρός με ἐν ῥήματι κυρίου λέγων ἐπίστρεψον αὐτὸν πρὸς σεαυτὸν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κόν σου καὶ φαγέτω ἄρτον καὶ πιέτω ὕδωρ καὶ ἐψεύσατο αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Qui ait illi : Et ego propheta sum similis tui : et angelus locutus est mihi in sermone Domini, dicens : Reduc eum tecum in domum tuam, ut comedat panem, et bibat aquam. Fefellit eum, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃13 ויאמר לו גם אני נביא כמוך ומלאך דבר אלי בדבר יהוה לאמר השבהו אתך אל ביתך ויאכל לחם וישת מים כחש לו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 19

So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.

- L'homme de Dieu retourna avec lui, et il mangea du pain et but de l'eau dans sa maison. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν αὐτόν καὶ ἔφαγεν ἄρτον καὶ ἔπιεν ὕδωρ ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- et reduxit secum : comedit ergo panem in domo ejus, et bibit aquam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃13 וישב אתו ויאכל לחם בביתו וישת מים ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 20

And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:

- Comme ils étaient assis à table, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée au prophète qui l'avait ramené. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτω̃ν καθημένων ἐπὶ τη̃ς τραπέζης καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς τὸν προφήτην τὸν ἐπιστρέψαντα αὐτὸν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque sederent ad mensam, factus est sermo Domini ad prophetam qui reduxerat eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃13 ויהי הם ישבים אל השלחן פויהי דבר יהוה אל הנביא אשר השיבו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 21

And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,

- Et il cria à l'homme de Dieu qui était venu de Juda: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Parce que tu as été rebelle à l'ordre de l'Éternel, et que tu n'as pas observé le commandement que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'avait donné; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον του̃ θεου̃ τὸν ἥκοντα ἐξ Ιουδα λέγων τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν παρεπίκρανας τὸ ῥη̃μα κυρίου καὶ οὐκ ἐφύλαξας τὴν ἐντολήν ἣν ἐνετείλατό σοι κύριος ὁ θεός σου (Ⅲ)

- Et exclamavit ad virum Dei qui venerat de Juda, dicens : Hæc dicit Dominus : Quia non obediens fuisti ori Domini, et non custodisti mandatum quod præcepit tibi Dominus Deus tuus, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃13 ויקרא אל איש האלהים אשר בא מיהודה לאמר כה אמר יהוה יען כי מרית פי יהוה ולא שמרת את המצוה אשר צוך יהוה אלהיך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 22

But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the Lord did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcass shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.

- parce que tu es retourné, et que tu as mangé du pain et bu de l'eau dans le lieu dont il t'avait dit: Tu n'y mangeras point de pain et tu n'y boiras point d'eau, -ton cadavre n'entrera pas dans le sépulcre de tes pères. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπέστρεψας καὶ ἔφαγες ἄρτον καὶ ἔπιες ὕδωρ ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ ὡ̨̃ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς σὲ λέγων μὴ φάγη̨ς ἄρτον καὶ μὴ πίη̨ς ὕδωρ οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθη̨ τὸ σω̃μά σου εἰς τὸν τάφον τω̃ν πατέρων σου (Ⅲ)

- et reversus es, et comedisti panem, et bibisti aquam in loco in quo præcepit tibi ne comederes panem neque biberes aquam, non inferetur cadaver tuum in sepulchrum patrum tuorum.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃13 ותשב ותאכל לחם ותשת מים במקום אשר דבר אליך אל תאכל לחם ואל תשת מים לא תבוא נבלתך אל קבר אבתיך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 23

And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.

- Et quand le prophète qu'il avait ramené eut mangé du pain et qu'il eut bu de l'eau, il sella l'âne pour lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὸ φαγει̃ν ἄρτον καὶ πιει̃ν ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπέσαξεν αὐτω̨̃ τὸν ὄνον καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque comedisset et bibisset, stravit asinum suum prophetæ quem reduxerat. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃13 ויהי אחרי אכלו לחם ואחרי שתותו ויחבש לו החמור לנביא אשר השיבו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 24

And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcass was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcass.

- L'homme de Dieu s'en alla: et il fut rencontré dans le chemin par un lion qui le tua. Son cadavre était étendu dans le chemin; l'âne resta près de lui, et le lion se tint à côté du cadavre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν καὶ εὑ̃ρεν αὐτὸν λέων ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν αὐτόν καὶ ἠ̃ν τὸ σω̃μα αὐτου̃ ἐρριμμένον ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ καὶ ὁ ὄνος εἱστήκει παρ' αὐτό καὶ ὁ λέων εἱστήκει παρὰ τὸ σω̃μα (Ⅲ)

- Qui cum abiisset, invenit eum leo in via, et occidit, et erat cadaver ejus projectum in itinere : asinus autem stabat juxta illum, et leo stabat juxta cadaver. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃13 וילך וימצאהו אריה בדרך וימיתהו ותהי נבלתו משלכת בדרך והחמור עמד אצלה והאריה עמד אצל הנבלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 25

And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcass cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcass: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.

- Et voici, des gens qui passaient virent le cadavre étendu dans le chemin et le lion se tenant à côté du cadavre; et ils en parlèrent à leur arrivée dans la ville où demeurait le vieux prophète. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἰδοὺ ἄνδρες παραπορευόμενοι καὶ εἰ̃δον τὸ θνησιμαι̃ον ἐρριμμένον ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ καὶ ὁ λέων εἱστήκει ἐχόμενα του̃ θνησιμαίου καὶ εἰση̃λθον καὶ ἐλάλησαν ἐν τη̨̃ πόλει οὑ̃ ὁ προφήτης ὁ πρεσβύτης κατώ̨κει ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et ecce viri transeuntes viderunt cadaver projectum in via, et leonem stantem juxta cadaver. Et venerunt, et divulgaverunt in civitate in qua prophetes ille senex habitabat. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃13 והנה אנשים עברים ויראו את הנבלה משלכת בדרך ואת האריה עמד אצל הנבלה ויבאו וידברו בעיר אשר הנביא הזקן ישב בה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 26

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.

- Lorsque le prophète qui avait ramené du chemin l'homme de Dieu l'eut appris, il dit: C'est l'homme de Dieu qui a été rebelle à l'ordre de l'Éternel, et l'Éternel l'a livré au lion, qui l'a déchiré et l'a fait mourir, selon la parole que l'Éternel lui avait dite. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤκουσεν ὁ ἐπιστρέψας αὐτὸν ἐκ τη̃ς ὁδου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ οὑ̃τός ἐστιν ὃς παρεπίκρανε τὸ ῥη̃μα κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Quod cum audisset propheta ille qui reduxerat eum de via, ait : Vir Dei est, qui inobediens fuit ori Domini, et tradidit eum Dominus leoni, et confregit eum, et occidit juxta verbum Domini quod locutus est ei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃13 וישמע הנביא אשר השיבו מן הדרך ויאמר איש האלהים הוא אשר מרה את פי יהוה ויתנהו יהוה לאריה וישברהו וימתהו כדבר יהוה אשר דבר לו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 27

And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him.

- Puis, s'adressant à ses fils, il dit: Sellez-moi l'âne. Ils le sellèrent, (Ⅱ)

- Dixitque ad filios suos : Sternite mihi asinum. Qui cum stravissent, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃13 וידבר אל בניו לאמר חבשו לי את החמור ויחבשו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 28

And he went and found his carcass cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcass: the lion had not eaten the carcass, nor torn the ass.

- et il partit. Il trouva le cadavre étendu dans le chemin, et l'âne et le lion qui se tenaient à côté du cadavre. Le lion n'avait pas dévoré le cadavre et n'avait pas déchiré l'âne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ εὑ̃ρεν τὸ σω̃μα αὐτου̃ ἐρριμμένον ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ καὶ ὁ ὄνος καὶ ὁ λέων εἱστήκεισαν παρὰ τὸ σω̃μα καὶ οὐκ ἔφαγεν ὁ λέων τὸ σω̃μα του̃ ἀνθρώπου του̃ θεου̃ καὶ οὐ συνέτριψεν τὸν ὄνον (Ⅲ)

- et ille abiisset, invenit cadaver ejus projectum in via, et asinum et leonem stantes juxta cadaver : non comedit leo de cadavere, nec læsit asinum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃13 וילך וימצא את נבלתו משלכת בדרך וחמור והאריה עמדים אצל הנבלה לא אכל האריה את הנבלה ולא שבר את החמור ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 29

And the prophet took up the carcass of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him.

- Le prophète releva le cadavre de l'homme de Dieu, le plaça sur l'âne, et le ramena; et le vieux prophète rentra dans la ville pour le pleurer et pour l'enterrer. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ρεν ὁ προφήτης τὸ σω̃μα του̃ ἀνθρώπου του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ἐπέθηκεν αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τὸν ὄνον καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν πόλιν ὁ προφήτης του̃ θάψαι αὐτὸν (Ⅲ)

- Tulit ergo prophetes cadaver viri Dei, et posuit illud super asinum, et reversus intulit in civitatem prophetæ senis ut plangeret eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃13 וישא הנביא את נבלת איש האלהים וינחהו אל החמור וישיבהו ויבא אל עיר הנביא הזקן לספד ולקברו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 30

And he laid his carcass in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother!

- Il mit son cadavre dans le sépulcre, et l'on pleura sur lui, en disant: Hélas, mon frère! (Ⅱ)

- ἐν τω̨̃ τάφω̨ ἑαυτου̃ καὶ ἐκόψαντο αὐτόν οὐαὶ ἀδελφέ (Ⅲ)

- Et posuit cadaver ejus in sepulchro suo, et planxerunt eum : Heu, heu mi frater ! (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃13 וינח את נבלתו בקברו ויספדו עליו הוי אחי ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 31

And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:

- Après l'avoir enterré, il dit à ses fils: Quand je serai mort, vous m'enterrerez dans le sépulcre où est enterré l'homme de Dieu, vous déposerez mes os à côté de ses os. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὸ κόψασθαι αὐτὸν καὶ εἰ̃πεν τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτου̃ λέγων ἐὰν ἀποθάνω θάψατέ με ἐν τω̨̃ τάφω̨ τούτω̨ οὑ̃ ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ τέθαπται ἐν αὐτω̨̃ παρὰ τὰ ὀστα̃ αὐτου̃ θέτε με ἵνα σωθω̃σι τὰ ὀστα̃ μου μετὰ τω̃ν ὀστω̃ν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque planxissent eum, dixit ad filios suos : Cum mortuus fuero, sepelite me in sepulchro in quo vir Dei sepultus est : juxta ossa ejus ponite ossa mea. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃13 ויהי אחרי קברו אתו ויאמר אל בניו לאמר במותי וקברתם אתי בקבר אשר איש האלהים קבור בו אצל עצמתיו הניחו את עצמתי ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 32

For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.

- Car elle s'accomplira, la parole qu'il a criée, de la part de l'Éternel, contre l'autel de Béthel et contre toutes les maisons des hauts lieux qui sont dans les villes de Samarie. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι γινόμενον ἔσται τὸ ῥη̃μα ὃ ἐλάλησεν ἐν λόγω̨ κυρίου ἐπὶ του̃ θυσιαστηρίου του̃ ἐν Βαιθηλ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς οἴκους τοὺς ὑψηλοὺς τοὺς ἐν Σαμαρεία̨ (Ⅲ)

- Profecto enim veniet sermo quem prædixit in sermone Domini contra altare quod est in Bethel, et contra omnia fana excelsorum quæ sunt in urbibus Samariæ.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃13 כי היה יהיה הדבר אשר קרא בדבר יהוה על המזבח אשר בבית אל ועל כל בתי הבמות אשר בערי שמרון פ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 33

After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.

- Après cet événement, Jéroboam ne se détourna point de sa mauvaise voie. Il créa de nouveau des prêtres des hauts lieux pris parmi tout le peuple; quiconque en avait le désir, il le consacrait prêtre des hauts lieux. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ μετὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το οὐκ ἐπέστρεψεν Ιεροβοαμ ἀπὸ τη̃ς κακίας αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐκ μέρους του̃ λαου̃ ἱερει̃ς ὑψηλω̃ν ὁ βουλόμενος ἐπλήρου τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐγίνετο ἱερεὺς εἰς τὰ ὑψηλά (Ⅲ)

- Post verba hæc non est reversus Jeroboam de via sua pessima, sed e contrario fecit de novissimis populi sacerdotes excelsorum : quicumque volebat, implebat manum suam, et fiebat sacerdos excelsorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 33 ׃13 אחר הדבר הזה לא שב ירבעם מדרכו הרעה וישב ויעש מקצות העם כהני במות החפץ ימלא את ידו ויהי כהני במות ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 34

And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.

- Ce fut là une occasion de péché pour la maison de Jéroboam, et c'est pour cela qu'elle a été exterminée et détruite de dessus la face de la terre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το εἰς ἁμαρτίαν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ Ιεροβοαμ καὶ εἰς ὄλεθρον καὶ εἰς ἀφανισμὸν ἀπὸ προσώπου τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Et propter hanc causam peccavit domus Jeroboam, et eversa est, et deleta de superficie terræ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 34 ׃13 ויהי בדבר הזה לחטאת בית ירבעם ולהכחיד ולהשמיד מעל פני האדמה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
