16. 1

Then the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

- La parole de l'Éternel fut ainsi adressée à Jéhu, fils de Hanani, contre Baescha: (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Ιου υἱου̃ Ανανι πρὸς Βαασα (Ⅲ)

- Factus est autem sermo Domini ad Jehu filium Hanani contra Baasa, dicens : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃16 ויהי דבר יהוה אל יהוא בן חנני על בעשא לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 2

Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

- Je t'ai élevé de la poussière, et je t'ai établi chef de mon peuple d'Israël; mais parce que tu as marché dans la voie de Jéroboam, et que tu as fait pécher mon peuple d'Israël, pour m'irriter par leurs péchés, (Ⅱ)

- ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ὕψωσά σε ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ ἔδωκά σε ἡγούμενον ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπορεύθης ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ Ιεροβοαμ καὶ ἐξήμαρτες τὸν λαόν μου τὸν Ισραηλ του̃ παροργίσαι με ἐν τοι̃ς ματαίοις αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Pro eo quod exaltavi te de pulvere, et posui te ducem super populum meum Israël, tu autem ambulasti in via Jeroboam, et peccare fecisti populum meum Israël, ut me irritares in peccatis eorum : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃16 יען אשר הרימתיך מן העפר ואתנך נגיד על עמי ישראל ותלך בדרך ירבעם ותחטא את עמי ישראל להכעיסני בחטאתם ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 3

Behold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house; and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

- voici, je vais balayer Baescha et sa maison, et je rendrai ta maison semblable à la maison de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath. (Ⅱ)

- ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξεγείρω ὀπίσω Βαασα καὶ ὄπισθεν του̃ οἴκου αὐτου̃ καὶ δώσω τὸν οἰ̃κόν σου ὡς τὸν οἰ̃κον Ιεροβοαμ υἱου̃ Ναβατ (Ⅲ)

- ecce ego demetam posteriora Baasa, et posteriora domus ejus, et faciam domum tuam sicut domum Jeroboam filii Nabat. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃16 הנני מבעיר אחרי בעשא ואחרי ביתו ונתתי את ביתך כבית ירבעם בן נבט ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 4

Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the fields shall the fowls of the air eat.

- Celui de la maison de Baescha qui mourra dans la ville sera mangé par les chiens, et celui des siens qui mourra dans les champs sera mangé par les oiseaux du ciel. (Ⅱ)

- τὸν τεθνηκότα του̃ Βαασα ἐν τη̨̃ πόλει καταφάγονται αὐτὸν οἱ κύνες καὶ τὸν τεθνηκότα αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ πεδίω̨ καταφάγονται αὐτὸν τὰ πετεινὰ του̃ οὐρανου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Qui mortuus fuerit de Baasa in civitate, comedent eum canes : et qui mortuus fuerit ex eo in regione, comedent eum volucres cæli. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃16 המת לבעשא בעיר יאכלו הכלבים והמת לו בשדה יאכלו עוף השמים ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 5

Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

- Le reste des actions de Baescha, ce qu'il a fait, et ses exploits, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Βαασα καὶ πάντα ἃ ἐποίησεν καὶ αἱ δυναστει̃αι αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐν βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τω̃ν βασιλέων Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem sermonum Baasa, et quæcumque fecit, et prælia ejus, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro verborum dierum regum Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃16 ויתר דברי בעשא ואשר עשה וגבורתו הלא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 6

So Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah: and Elah his son reigned in his stead.

- Baescha se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré à Thirtsa. Et Éla, son fils, régna à sa place. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Βαασα μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ καὶ θάπτεται ἐν Θερσα καὶ βασιλεύει Ηλα υἱὸς αὐτου̃ ἀντ' αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ εἰκοστω̨̃ ἔτει βασιλέως Ασα (Ⅲ)

- Dormivit ergo Baasa cum patribus suis, sepultusque est in Thersa : et regnavit Ela filius ejus pro eo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃16 וישכב בעשא עם אבתיו ויקבר בתרצה וימלך אלה בנו תחתיו ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 7

And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.

- La parole de l'Éternel s'était manifestée par le prophète Jéhu, fils de Hanani, contre Baescha et contre sa maison, soit à cause de tout le mal qu'il avait fait sous les yeux de l'Éternel, en l'irritant par l'oeuvre de ses mains et en devenant semblable à la maison de Jéroboam, soit parce qu'il avait frappé la maison de Jéroboam. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐν χειρὶ Ιου υἱου̃ Ανανι ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐπὶ Βαασα καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον αὐτου̃ πα̃σαν τὴν κακίαν ἣν ἐποίησεν ἐνώπιον κυρίου του̃ παροργίσαι αὐτὸν ἐν τοι̃ς ἔργοις τω̃ν χειρω̃ν αὐτου̃ του̃ εἰ̃ναι κατὰ τὸν οἰ̃κον Ιεροβοαμ καὶ ὑπὲρ του̃ πατάξαι αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Cum autem in manu Jehu filii Hanani prophetæ verbum Domini factum esset contra Baasa, et contra domum ejus, et contra omne malum quod fecerat coram Domino, ad irritandum eum in operibus manuum suarum, ut fieret sicut domus Jeroboam : ob hanc causam occidit eum, hoc est, Jehu filium Hanani prophetam.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃16 וגם ביד יהוא בן חנני הנביא דבר יהוה היה אל בעשא ואל ביתו ועל כל הרעה אשר עשה בעיני יהוה להכעיסו במעשה ידיו להיות כבית ירבעם ועל אשר הכה אתו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 8

In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to reign over Israel in Tirzah, two years.

- La vingt-sixième année d'Asa, roi de Juda, Éla, fils de Baescha, régna sur Israël à Thirtsa. Il régna deux ans. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Ηλα υἱὸς Βαασα ἐβασίλευσεν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ δύο ἔτη ἐν Θερσα (Ⅲ)

- Anno vigesimo sexto Asa regis Juda, regnavit Ela filius Baasa super Israël in Thersa, duobus annis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃16 בשנת עשרים ושש שנה לאסא מלך יהודה מלך אלה בן בעשא על ישראל בתרצה שנתים ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 9

And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah.

- Son serviteur Zimri, chef de la moitié des chars, conspira contre lui. Éla était à Thirtsa, buvant et s'enivrant dans la maison d'Artsa, chef de la maison du roi à Thirtsa. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ συνέστρεψεν ἐπ' αὐτὸν Ζαμβρι ὁ ἄρχων τη̃ς ἡμίσους τη̃ς ἵππου καὶ αὐτὸς ἠ̃ν ἐν Θερσα πίνων μεθύων ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ Ωσα του̃ οἰκονόμου ἐν Θερσα (Ⅲ)

- Et rebellavit contra eum servus suus Zambri, dux mediæ partis equitum : erat autem Ela in Thersa bibens, et temulentus in domo Arsa præfecti Thersa. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃16 ויקשר עליו עבדו זמרי שר מחצית הרכב והוא בתרצה שתה שכור בית ארצא אשר על הבית בתרצה ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 10

And Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.

- Zimri entra, le frappa et le tua, la vingt-septième année d'Asa, roi de Juda, et il régna à sa place. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰση̃λθεν Ζαμβρι καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Irruens ergo Zambri, percussit et occidit eum, anno vigesimo septimo Asa regis Juda, et regnavit pro eo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃16 ויבא זמרי ויכהו וימיתהו בשנת עשרים ושבע לאסא מלך יהודה וימלך תחתיו ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 11

And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolk, nor of his friends.

- Lorsqu'il fut roi et qu'il fut assis sur son trône, il frappa toute la maison de Baescha, il ne laissa échapper personne qui lui appartînt, ni parent ni ami. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τω̨̃ βασιλευ̃σαι αὐτὸν ἐν τω̨̃ καθίσαι αὐτὸν ἐπὶ του̃ θρόνου αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπάταξεν ὅλον τὸν οἰ̃κον Βαασα (Ⅲ)

- Cumque regnasset, et sedisset super solium ejus, percussit omnem domum Baasa, et non dereliquit ex ea mingentem ad parietem : et propinquos et amicos ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃16 ויהי במלכו כשבתו על כסאו הכה את כל בית בעשא לא השאיר לו משתין בקיר וגאליו ורעהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 12

Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the prophet.

- Zimri détruisit toute la maison de Baescha, selon la parole que l'Éternel avait dite contre Baescha par Jéhu, le prophète, (Ⅱ)

- κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα ὃ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐπὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον Βαασα πρὸς Ιου τὸν προφήτην (Ⅲ)

- Delevitque Zambri omnem domum Baasa, juxta verbum Domini quod locutus fuerat ad Baasa in manu Jehu prophetæ, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃16 וישמד זמרי את כל בית בעשא כדבר יהוה אשר דבר אל בעשא ביד יהוא הנביא ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 13

For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

- à cause de tous les péchés que Baescha et Éla, son fils, avaient commis et qu'ils avaient fait commettre à Israël, irritant par leurs idoles l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- περὶ πασω̃ν τω̃ν ἁμαρτιω̃ν Βαασα καὶ Ηλα του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ ὡς ἐξήμαρτεν τὸν Ισραηλ του̃ παροργίσαι κύριον τὸν θεὸν Ισραηλ ἐν τοι̃ς ματαίοις αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- propter universa peccata Baasa, et peccata Ela filii ejus, qui peccaverunt, et peccare fecerunt Israël, provocantes Dominum Deum Israël in vanitatibus suis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃16 אל כל חטאות בעשא וחטאות אלה בנו אשר חטאו ואשר החטיאו את ישראל להכעיס את יהוה אלהי ישראל בהבליהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 14

Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

- Le reste des actions d'Éla, et tout ce qu'il a fait, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Ηλα καὶ πάντα ἃ ἐποίησεν οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐν βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τω̃ν βασιλέων Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

16. 15

In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.

- La vingt-septième année d'Asa, roi de Juda, Zimri régna sept jours à Thirtsa. Le peuple campait contre Guibbethon, qui appartenait aux Philistins. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Ζαμβρι ἐβασίλευσεν ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἐν Θερσα καὶ ἡ παρεμβολὴ Ισραηλ ἐπὶ Γαβαθων τὴν τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων (Ⅲ)

- Anno vigesimo septimo Asa regis Juda, regnavit Zambri septem diebus in Thersa : porro exercitus obsidebat Gebbethon urbem Philisthinorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃16 בשנת עשרים ושבע שנה לאסא מלך יהודה מלך זמרי שבעת ימים בתרצה והעם חנים על גבתון אשר לפלשתים ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 16

And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.

- Et le peuple qui campait apprit cette nouvelle: Zimri a conspiré, et même il a tué le roi! Et ce jour-là, tout Israël établit dans le camp pour roi d'Israël Omri, chef de l'armée. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤκουσεν ὁ λαὸς ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ λεγόντων συνεστράφη Ζαμβρι καὶ ἔπαισεν τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν ἐν Ισραηλ τὸν Αμβρι τὸν ἡγούμενον τη̃ς στρατια̃ς ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque audisset rebellasse Zambri, et occidisse regem, fecit sibi regem omnis Israël Amri, qui erat princeps militiæ super Israël in die illa in castris. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃16 וישמע העם החנים לאמר קשר זמרי וגם הכה את המלך וימלכו כל ישראל את עמרי שר צבא על ישראל ביום ההוא במחנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 17

And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.

- Omri et tout Israël avec lui partirent de Guibbethon, et ils assiégèrent Thirtsa. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβη Αμβρι καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ μετ' αὐτου̃ ἐκ Γαβαθων καὶ περιεκάθισαν ἐπὶ Θερσα (Ⅲ)

- Ascendit ergo Amri, et omnis Israël cum eo, de Gebbethon, et obsidebant Thersa. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃16 ויעלה עמרי וכל ישראל עמו מגבתון ויצרו על תרצה ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 18

And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with fire, and died.

- Zimri, voyant que la ville était prise, se retira dans le palais de la maison du roi, et brûla sur lui la maison du roi. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη ὡς εἰ̃δεν Ζαμβρι ὅτι προκατείλημπται αὐτου̃ ἡ πόλις καὶ εἰσπορεύεται εἰς ἄντρον του̃ οἴκου του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἐνεπύρισεν ἐπ' αὐτὸν τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ βασιλέως ἐν πυρὶ καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Videns autem Zambri quod expugnanda esset civitas, ingressus est palatium, et succendit se cum domo regia : et mortuus est (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃16 ויהי כראות זמרי כי נלכדה העיר ויבא אל ארמון בית המלך וישרף עליו את בית מלך באש וימת ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 19

For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.

- C'est ainsi qu'il mourut, à cause des péchés qu'il avait commis en faisant ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, en marchant dans la voie de Jéroboam, et en se livrant aux péchés que Jéroboam avait commis pour faire pécher Israël. (Ⅱ)

- ὑπὲρ τω̃ν ἁμαρτιω̃ν αὐτου̃ ὡ̃ν ἐποίησεν του̃ ποιη̃σαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου πορευθη̃ναι ἐν ὁδω̨̃ Ιεροβοαμ υἱου̃ Ναβατ καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἁμαρτίαις αὐτου̃ ὡς ἐξήμαρτεν τὸν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- in peccatis suis quæ peccaverat, faciens malum coram Domino, et ambulans in via Jeroboam, et in peccato ejus, quo fecit peccare Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃16 על *חטאתו **חטאתיו אשר חטא לעשות הרע בעיני יהוה ללכת בדרך ירבעם ובחטאתו אשר עשה להחטיא את ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 20

Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he wrought, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

- Le reste des actions de Zimri, et la conspiration qu'il forma, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Ζαμβρι καὶ τὰς συνάψεις αὐτου̃ ἃς συνη̃ψεν οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐν βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τω̃ν βασιλέων Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem sermonum Zambri, et insidiarum ejus, et tyrannidis, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro verborum dierum regum Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃16 ויתר דברי זמרי וקשרו אשר קשר הלא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי ישראל פ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 21

Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.

- Alors le peuple d'Israël se divisa en deux partis: une moitié du peuple voulait faire roi Thibni, fils de Guinath, et l'autre moitié était pour Omri. (Ⅱ)

- τότε μερίζεται ὁ λαὸς Ισραηλ ἥμισυ του̃ λαου̃ γίνεται ὀπίσω Θαμνι υἱου̃ Γωναθ του̃ βασιλευ̃σαι αὐτόν καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ του̃ λαου̃ γίνεται ὀπίσω Αμβρι (Ⅲ)

- Tunc divisus est populus Israël in duas partes : media pars populi sequebatur Thebni filium Gineth, ut constitueret eum regem : et media pars Amri. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃16 אז יחלק העם ישראל לחצי חצי העם היה אחרי תבני בן גינת להמליכו והחצי אחרי עמרי ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 22

But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

- Ceux qui suivaient Omri l'emportèrent sur ceux qui suivaient Thibni, fils de Guinath. Thibni mourut, et Omri régna. (Ⅱ)

- ὁ λαὸς ὁ ὢν ὀπίσω Αμβρι ὑπερεκράτησεν τὸν λαὸν τὸν ὀπίσω Θαμνι υἱου̃ Γωναθ καὶ ἀπέθανεν Θαμνι καὶ Ιωραμ ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Αμβρι μετὰ Θαμνι (Ⅲ)

- Prævaluit autem populus qui erat cum Amri, populo qui sequebatur Thebni filium Gineth : mortuusque est Thebni, et regnavit Amri.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃16 ויחזק העם אשר אחרי עמרי את העם אשר אחרי תבני בן גינת וימת תבני וימלך עמרי פ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 23

In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.

- La trente et unième année d'Asa, roi de Juda, Omri régna sur Israël. Il régna douze ans. Après avoir régné six ans à Thirtsa, (Ⅱ)

- ἐν τω̨̃ ἔτει τω̨̃ τριακοστω̨̃ καὶ πρώτω̨ του̃ βασιλέως Ασα βασιλεύει Αμβρι ἐπὶ Ισραηλ δώδεκα ἔτη ἐν Θερσα βασιλεύει ἓξ ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Anno trigesimo primo Asa regis Juda, regnavit Amri super Israël, duodecim annis : in Thersa regnavit sex annis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃16 בשנת שלשים ואחת שנה לאסא מלך יהודה מלך עמרי על ישראל שתים עשרה שנה בתרצה מלך שש שנים ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 24

And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Samaria.

- il acheta de Schémer la montagne de Samarie pour deux talents d'argent; il bâtit sur la montagne, et il donna à la ville qu'il bâtit le nom de Samarie, d'après le nom de Schémer, seigneur de la montagne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκτήσατο Αμβρι τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σεμερων παρὰ Σεμηρ του̃ κυρίου του̃ ὄρους δύο ταλάντων ἀργυρίου καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τὸ ὄρος καὶ ἐπεκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα του̃ ὄρους οὑ̃ ὠ̨κοδόμεσεν ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματι Σεμηρ του̃ κυρίου του̃ ὄρους Σαεμηρων (Ⅲ)

- Emitque montem Samariæ a Somer duobus talentis argenti : et ædificavit eum, et vocavit nomen civitatis quam exstruxerat, nomine Semer domini montis, Samariam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃16 ויקן את ההר שמרון מאת שמר בככרים כסף ויבן את ההר ויקרא את שם העיר אשר בנה על שם שמר אדני ההר שמרון ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 25

But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all that were before him.

- Omri fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, et il agit plus mal que tous ceux qui avaient été avant lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν Αμβρι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἐπονηρεύσατο ὑπὲρ πάντας τοὺς γενομένους ἔμπροσθεν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Fecit autem Amri malum in conspectu Domini, et operatus est nequiter, super omnes qui fuerunt ante eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃16 ויעשה עמרי הרע בעיני יהוה וירע מכל אשר לפניו ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 26

For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

- Il marcha dans toute la voie de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, et se livra aux péchés que Jéroboam avait fait commettre à Israël, irritant par leurs idoles l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν πάση̨ ὁδω̨̃ Ιεροβοαμ υἱου̃ Ναβατ καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἁμαρτίαις αὐτου̃ αἱ̃ς ἐξήμαρτεν τὸν Ισραηλ του̃ παροργίσαι τὸν κύριον θεὸν Ισραηλ ἐν τοι̃ς ματαίοις αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Ambulavitque in omni via Jeroboam filii Nabat, et in peccatis ejus quibus peccare fecerat Israël, ut irritaret Dominum Deum Israël in vanitatibus suis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃16 וילך בכל דרך ירבעם בן נבט *ובחטאתיו **ובחטאתו אשר החטיא את ישראל להכעיס את יהוה אלהי ישראל בהבליהם‪[p]‬ ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 27

Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he showed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

- Le reste des actions d'Omri, ce qu'il a fait, et ses exploits, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Αμβρι καὶ πάντα ἃ ἐποίησεν καὶ ἡ δυναστεία αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐν βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τω̃ν βασιλέων Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem sermonum Amri, et prælia ejus quæ gessit, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro verborum dierum regum Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃16 ויתר דברי עמרי אשר עשה וגבורתו אשר עשה הלא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 28

So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria: and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.

- Omri se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré à Samarie. Et Achab, son fils, régna à sa place. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Αμβρι μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ καὶ θάπτεται ἐν Σαμαρεία̨ καὶ βασιλεύει Αχααβ υἱὸς αὐτου̃ ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Dormivitque Amri cum patribus suis, et sepultus est in Samaria : regnavitque Achab filius ejus pro eo.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃16 וישכב עמרי עם אבתיו ויקבר בשמרון וימלך אחאב בנו תחתיו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 29

And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years.

- Achab, fils d'Omri, régna sur Israël, la trente-huitième année d'Asa, roi de Juda. Achab, fils d'Omri, régna vingt-deux ans sur Israël à Samarie. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ἔτει δευτέρω̨ τω̨̃ Ιωσαφατ βασιλεύει Αχααβ υἱὸς Αμβρι ἐβασίλευσεν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἐν Σαμαρεία̨ εἴκοσι καὶ δύο ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Achab vero filius Amri regnavit super Israël anno trigesimo octavo Asa regis Juda. Et regnavit Achab filius Amri super Israël in Samaria viginti et duobus annis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃16 ואחאב בן עמרי מלך על ישראל בשנת שלשים ושמנה שנה לאסא מלך יהודה וימלך אחאב בן עמרי על ישראל בשמרון עשרים ושתים שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 30

And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him.

- Achab, fils d'Omri, fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, plus que tous ceux qui avaient été avant lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν Αχααβ τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου ἐπονηρεύσατο ὑπὲρ πάντας τοὺς ἔμπροσθεν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et fecit Achab filius Amri malum in conspectu Domini super omnes qui fuerunt ante eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃16 ויעש אחאב בן עמרי הרע בעיני יהוה מכל אשר לפניו ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 31

And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

- Et comme si c'eût été pour lui peu de choses de se livrer aux péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, il prit pour femme Jézabel, fille d'Ethbaal, roi des Sidoniens, et il alla servir Baal et se prosterner devant lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν αὐτω̨̃ ἱκανὸν του̃ πορεύεσθαι ἐν ται̃ς ἁμαρτίαις Ιεροβοαμ υἱου̃ Ναβατ καὶ ἔλαβεν γυναι̃κα τὴν Ιεζαβελ θυγατέρα Ιεθεβααλ βασιλέως Σιδωνίων καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ ἐδούλευσεν τω̨̃ Βααλ καὶ προσεκύνησεν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Nec suffecit ei ut ambularet in peccatis Jeroboam filii Nabat : insuper duxit uxorem Jezabel filiam Ethbaal regis Sidoniorum. Et abiit, et servivit Baal, et adoravit eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃16 ויהי הנקל לכתו בחטאות ירבעם בן נבט ויקח אשה את איזבל בת אתבעל מלך צידנים וילך ויעבד את הבעל וישתחו לו ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 32

And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.

- Il éleva un autel à Baal dans la maison de Baal qu'il bâtit à Samarie, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔστησεν θυσιαστήριον τω̨̃ Βααλ ἐν οἴκω̨ τω̃ν προσοχθισμάτων αὐτου̃ ὃν ὠ̨κοδόμησεν ἐν Σαμαρεία̨ (Ⅲ)

- Et posuit aram Baal in templo Baal, quod ædificaverat in Samaria, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃16 ויקם מזבח לבעל בית הבעל אשר בנה בשמרון ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 33

And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

- et il fit une idole d'Astarté. Achab fit plus encore que tous les rois d'Israël qui avaient été avant lui, pour irriter l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν Αχααβ ἄλσος καὶ προσέθηκεν Αχααβ του̃ ποιη̃σαι παροργίσματα του̃ παροργίσαι τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτου̃ του̃ ἐξολεθρευθη̃ναι ἐκακοποίησεν ὑπὲρ πάντας τοὺς βασιλει̃ς Ισραηλ τοὺς γενομένους ἔμπροσθεν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- et plantavit lucum : et addidit Achab in opere suo, irritans Dominum Deum Israël super omnes reges Israël qui fuerunt ante eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 33 ׃16 ויעש אחאב את האשרה ויוסף אחאב לעשות להכעיס את יהוה אלהי ישראל מכל מלכי ישראל אשר היו לפניו ‬ (Ⅴ)

16. 34

In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.

- De son temps, Hiel de Béthel bâtit Jéricho; il en jeta les fondements au prix d'Abiram, son premier-né, et il en posa les portes aux prix de Segub, son plus jeune fils, selon la parole que l'Éternel avait dite par Josué, fils de Nun. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις αὐτου̃ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν Αχιηλ ὁ Βαιθηλίτης τὴν Ιεριχω ἐν τω̨̃ Αβιρων τω̨̃ πρωτοτόκω̨ αὐτου̃ ἐθεμελίωσεν αὐτὴν καὶ τω̨̃ Σεγουβ τω̨̃ νεωτέρω̨ αὐτου̃ ἐπέστησεν θύρας αὐτη̃ς κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα κυρίου ὃ ἐλάλησεν ἐν χειρὶ Ιησου υἱου̃ Ναυη (Ⅲ)

- In diebus ejus ædificavit Hiel de Bethel Jericho : in Abiram primitivo suo fundavit eam, et in Segub novissimo suo posuit portas ejus, juxta verbum Domini quod locutus fuerat in manu Josue filii Nun. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 34 ׃16 בימיו בנה חיאל בית האלי את יריחה באבירם בכרו יסדה *ובשגיב **ובשגוב צעירו הציב דלתיה כדבר יהוה אשר דבר ביד יהושע בן נון ס‬ (Ⅴ)
