So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
- Salomon avait douze intendants sur tout Israël. Ils pourvoyaient à l'entretien du roi et de sa maison, chacun pendant un mois de l'année. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Σαλωμων δώδεκα καθεσταμένοι ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ χορηγει̃ν τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ καὶ τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ μη̃να ἐν τω̨̃ ἐνιαυτω̨̃ ἐγίνετο ἐπὶ τὸν ἕνα χορηγει̃ν (Ⅲ) - Habebat autem Salomon duodecim præfectos super omnem Israël, qui præbebant annonam regi et domui ejus : per singulos enim menses in anno, singuli necessaria ministrabant. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃4 ולשלמה שנים עשר נצבים על כל ישראל וכלכלו את המלך ואת ביתו חדש בשנה יהיה על *אחד **האחד לכלכל ס (Ⅴ)

And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
- Voici leurs noms. Le fils de Hur, dans la montagne d'Éphraïm. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ταυ̃τα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτω̃ν Βενωρ ἐν ὄρει Εφραιμ εἱ̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et hæc nomina eorum : Benhur in monte Ephraim. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃4 ואלה שמותם בן חור בהר אפרים ס (Ⅴ)

The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:
- Le fils de Déker, à Makats, à Saalbim, à Beth Schémesch, à Élon et à Beth Hanan. (Ⅱ) - υἱὸς Ρηχαβ ἐν Μαχεμας καὶ Βηθαλαμιν καὶ Βαιθσαμυς καὶ Αιλων ἕως Βαιθαναν εἱ̃ς (Ⅲ) - Bendecar in Macces, et in Salebim, et in Bethsames, et in Elon, et in Bethanan. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃4 בן דקר במקץ ובשעלבים ובית שמש ואילון בית חנן ס (Ⅴ)

The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

(Ⅱ) - Χιναναδαβ καὶ Αναφαθι ἀνὴρ Ταβληθ θυγάτηρ Σαλωμων ἠ̃ν αὐτω̨̃ εἰς γυναι̃κα εἱ̃ς (Ⅲ) - Benabinadab, cujus omnis Nephath Dor : Tapheth filiam Salomonis habebat uxorem. Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
- Baana, fils d'Achilud, avait Thaanac et Meguiddo, et tout Beth Schean qui est près de Tsarthan au-dessous de Jizreel, depuis Beth Schean jusqu'à Abel Mehola, jusqu'au delà de Jokmeam. (Ⅱ) - Βακχα υἱὸς Αχιλιδ Θααναχ καὶ Μεκεδω καὶ πα̃ς ὁ οἰ̃κος Σαν ὁ παρὰ Σεσαθαν ὑποκάτω του̃ Εσραε καὶ ἐκ Βαισαφουδ Εβελμαωλα ἕως Μαεβερ Λουκαμ εἱ̃ς (Ⅲ) - Bana filius Ahilud regebat Thanac et Mageddo, et universam Bethsan, quæ est juxta Sarthana subter Jezrahel, a Bethsan usque Abelmehula e regione Jecmaan. The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars:
- Le fils de Guéber, à Ramoth en Galaad; il avait les bourgs de Jaïr, fils de Manassé, en Galaad; il avait encore la contrée d'Argob en Basan, soixante grandes villes à murailles et à barres d'airain. (Ⅱ) - υἱὸς Γαβερ ἐν Ρεμαθ Γαλααδ τούτω̨ σχοίνισμα Ερεγαβα ἣ ἐν τη̨̃ Βασαν ἑξήκοντα πόλεις μεγάλαι τειχήρεις καὶ μοχλοὶ χαλκοι̃ εἱ̃ς (Ⅲ) - Bengaber in Ramoth Galaad : habebat Avothjair filii Manasse in Galaad : ipse præerat in omni regione Argob, quæ est in Basan, sexaginta civitatibus magnis atque muratis quæ habebant seras æreas. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃4 בן גבר ברמת גלעד לו חות יאיר בן מנשה אשר בגלעד לו חבל ארגב אשר בבשן ששים ערים גדלות חומה ובריח נחשת ס (Ⅴ)

Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

(Ⅱ) - Αχιμαας ἐν Νεφθαλι καὶ οὑ̃τος ἔλαβεν τὴν Βασεμμαθ θυγατέρα Σαλωμων εἰς γυναι̃κα εἱ̃ς (Ⅲ) - Achimaas in Nephthali : sed et ipse habebat Basemath filiam Salomonis in conjugio. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃4 אחימעץ בנפתלי גם הוא לקח את בשמת בת שלמה לאשה (Ⅴ)

Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
- Juda et Israël étaient très nombreux, pareils au sable qui est sur le bord de la mer. Ils mangeaient, buvaient et se réjouissaient. (Ⅱ) - Juda et Israël innumerabiles, sicut arena maris in multitudine : comedentes, et bibentes, atque lætantes. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃4 יהודה וישראל רבים כחול אשר על הים לרב אכלים ושתים ושמחים (Ⅴ)

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
- Salomon dominait encore sur tous les royaumes depuis le fleuve jusqu'au pays des Philistins et jusqu'à la frontière d'Égypte; ils apportaient des présents, et ils furent assujettis à Salomon tout le temps de sa vie. (Ⅱ) - Salomon autem erat in ditione sua, habens omnia regna a flumine terræ Philisthiim usque ad terminum Ægypti : offerentium sibi munera, et servientium ei cunctis diebus vitæ ejus. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃5 ושלמה היה מושל בכל הממלכות מן הנהר ארץ פלשתים ועד גבול מצרים מגשים מנחה ועבדים את שלמה כל ימי חייו פ (Ⅴ)

And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
- Chaque jour Salomon consommait en vivres: trente cors de fleur de farine et soixante cors de farine, (Ⅱ) - Erat autem cibus Salomonis per dies singulos triginta cori similæ, et sexaginta cori farinæ, (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃5 ויהי לחם שלמה ליום אחד שלשים כר סלת וששים כר קמח (Ⅴ)

Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
- dix boeufs gras, vingt boeufs de pâturage, et cent brebis, outre les cerfs, les gazelles, les daims, et les volailles engraissées. (Ⅱ) - decem boves pingues, et viginti boves pascuales, et centum arietes, excepta venatione cervorum, caprearum, atque bubalorum, et avium altilium. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃5 עשרה בקר בראים ועשרים בקר רעי ומאה צאן לבד מאיל וצבי ויחמור וברברים אבוסים (Ⅴ)

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
- Il dominait sur tout le pays de l'autre côté du fleuve, depuis Thiphsasch jusqu'à Gaza, sur tous les rois de l'autre côté du fleuve. Et il avait la paix de tous les côtés alentour. (Ⅱ) - Ipse enim obtinebat omnem regionem quæ erat trans flumen, a Thaphsa usque ad Gazan, et cunctos reges illarum regionum : et habebat pacem ex omni parte in circuitu. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃5 כי הוא רדה בכל עבר הנהר מתפסח ועד עזה בכל מלכי עבר הנהר ושלום היה לו מכל עבריו מסביב (Ⅴ)

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
- Juda et Israël, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer Schéba, habitèrent en sécurité, chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, tout le temps de Salomon. (Ⅱ) - Habitabatque Juda et Israël absque timore ullo, unusquisque sub vite sua et sub ficu sua, a Dan usque Bersabee, cunctis diebus Salomonis. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃5 וישב יהודה וישראל לבטח איש תחת גפנו ותחת תאנתו מדן ועד באר שבע כל ימי שלמה ס (Ⅴ)

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
- Salomon avait quarante mille crèches pour les chevaux destinés à ses chars, et douze mille cavaliers. (Ⅱ) - Et habebat Salomon quadraginta millia præsepia equorum currilium, et duodecim millia equestrium. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃5 ויהי לשלמה ארבעים אלף ארות סוסים למרכבו ושנים עשר אלף פרשים (Ⅴ)

And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
- Les intendants pourvoyaient à l'entretien du roi Salomon et de tous ceux qui s'approchaient de sa table, chacun pendant son mois; ils ne laissaient manquer de rien. (Ⅱ) - Nutriebantque eos supradicti regis præfecti : sed et necessaria mensæ regis Salomonis cum ingenti cura præbebant in tempore suo. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃5 וכלכלו הנצבים האלה את המלך שלמה ואת כל הקרב אל שלחן המלך שלמה איש חדשו לא יעדרו דבר (Ⅴ)

Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
- Ils faisaient aussi venir de l'orge et de la paille pour les chevaux et les coursiers dans le lieu où se trouvait le roi, chacun selon les ordres qu'il avait reçus. (Ⅱ) - Hordeum quoque, et paleas equorum et jumentorum, deferebant in locum ubi erat rex, juxta constitutum sibi.\ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃5 והשערים והתבן לסוסים ולרכש יבאו אל המקום אשר יהיה שם איש כמשפטו ס (Ⅴ)

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
- Dieu donna à Salomon de la sagesse, une très grande intelligence, et des connaissances multipliées comme le sable qui est au bord de la mer. (Ⅱ) - Dedit quoque Deus sapientiam Salomoni, et prudentiam multam nimis, et latitudinem cordis quasi arenam quæ est in littore maris. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃5 ויתן אלהים חכמה לשלמה ותבונה הרבה מאד ורחב לב כחול אשר על שפת הים (Ⅴ)

And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
- La sagesse de Salomon surpassait la sagesse de tous les fils de l'Orient et toute la sagesse des Égyptiens. (Ⅱ) - Et præcedebat sapientia Salomonis sapientiam omnium Orientalium et Ægyptiorum, (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃5 ותרב חכמת שלמה מחכמת כל בני קדם ומכל חכמת מצרים (Ⅴ)

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
- Il était plus sage qu'aucun homme, plus qu'Éthan, l'Ézrachite, plus qu'Héman, Calcol et Darda, les fils de Machol; et sa renommée était répandue parmi toutes les nations d'alentour. (Ⅱ) - et erat sapientior cunctis hominibus : sapientior Ethan Ezrahita, et Heman, et Chalcol, et Dorda filiis Mahol : et erat nominatus in universis gentibus per circuitum. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃5 ויחכם מכל האדם מאיתן האזרחי והימן וכלכל ודרדע בני מחול ויהי שמו בכל הגוים סביב (Ⅴ)

And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
- Il a prononcé trois mille sentences, et composé mille cinq cantiques. (Ⅱ) - Locutus est quoque Salomon tria millia parabolas : et fuerunt carmina ejus quinque et mille. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃5 וידבר שלשת אלפים משל ויהי שירו חמשה ואלף (Ⅴ)

And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
- Il a parlé sur les arbres, depuis le cèdre du Liban jusqu'à l'hysope qui sort de la muraille; il a aussi parlé sur les animaux, sur les oiseaux, sur les reptiles et sur les poissons. (Ⅱ) - Et disputavit super lignis a cedro quæ est in Libano, usque ad hyssopum quæ egreditur de pariete : et disseruit de jumentis, et volucribus, et reptilibus, et piscibus. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃5 וידבר על העצים מן הארז אשר בלבנון ועד האזוב אשר יצא בקיר וידבר על הבהמה ועל העוף ועל הרמש ועל הדגים (Ⅴ)

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
- Il venait des gens de tous les peuples pour entendre la sagesse de Salomon, de la part de tous les rois de la terre qui avaient entendu parler de sa sagesse. (Ⅱ) - Et veniebant de cunctis populis ad audiendam sapientiam Salomonis, et ab universis regibus terræ qui audiebant sapientiam ejus. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃5 ויבאו מכל העמים לשמע את חכמת שלמה מאת כל מלכי הארץ אשר שמעו את חכמתו ס (Ⅴ)
