6. 1

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

- Ce fut la quatre cent quatre-vingtième année après la sortie des enfants d'Israël du pays d'Égypte que Salomon bâtit la maison à l'Éternel, la quatrième année de son règne sur Israël, au mois de Ziv, qui est le second mois. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τω̨̃ τεσσαρακοστω̨̃ καὶ τετρακοσιοστω̨̃ ἔτει τη̃ς ἐξόδου υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου τω̨̃ ἔτει τω̨̃ τετάρτω̨ ἐν μηνὶ τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ βασιλεύοντος του̃ βασιλέως Σαλωμων ἐπὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Factum est ergo quadringentesimo et octogesimo anno egressionis filiorum Israël de terra Ægypti, in anno quarto, mense Zio (ipse est mensis secundus), regni Salomonis super Israël, ædificari cœpit domus Domino. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃6 ויהי בשמונים שנה וארבע מאות שנה לצאת בני ישראל מארץ מצרים בשנה הרביעית בחדש זו הוא החדש השני למלך שלמה על ישראל ויבן הבית ליהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 2

And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.

- La maison que le roi Salomon bâtit à l'Éternel avait soixante coudées de longueur, vingt de largeur, et trente de hauteur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κος ὃν ὠ̨κοδόμησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμων τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ τεσσαράκοντα πήχεων μη̃κος αὐτου̃ καὶ εἴκοσι ἐν πήχει πλάτος αὐτου̃ καὶ πέντε καὶ εἴκοσι ἐν πήχει τὸ ὕψος αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Domus autem quam ædificabat rex Salomon Domino, habebat sexaginta cubitos in longitudine, et viginti cubitos in latitudine, et triginta cubitos in altitudine. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃6 והבית אשר בנה המלך שלמה ליהוה ששים אמה ארכו ועשרים רחבו ושלשים אמה קומתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 3

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.

- Le portique devant le temple de la maison avait vingt coudées de longueur répondant à la largeur de la maison, et dix coudées de profondeur sur la face de la maison. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ αιλαμ κατὰ πρόσωπον του̃ ναου̃ εἴκοσι ἐν πήχει μη̃κος αὐτου̃ εἰς τὸ πλάτος του̃ οἴκου καὶ δέκα ἐν πήχει τὸ πλάτος αὐτου̃ κατὰ πρόσωπον του̃ οἴκου καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τὸν οἰ̃κον καὶ συνετέλεσεν αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Et porticus erat ante templum viginti cubitorum longitudinis, juxta mensuram latitudinis templi : et habebat decem cubitos latitudinis ante faciem templi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃6 והאולם על פני היכל הבית עשרים אמה ארכו על פני רחב הבית עשר באמה רחבו על פני הבית ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 4

And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.

- Le roi fit à la maison des fenêtres solidement grillées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ θυρίδας παρακυπτομένας κρυπτάς (Ⅲ)

- Fecitque in templo fenestras obliquas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃6 ויעש לבית חלוני שקפים אטמים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 5

And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:

- Il bâtit contre le mur de la maison des étages circulaires, qui entouraient les murs de la maison, le temple et le sanctuaire; et il fit des chambres latérales tout autour. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐπὶ τὸν τοι̃χον του̃ οἴκου μέλαθρα κυκλόθεν τω̨̃ ναω̨̃ καὶ τω̨̃ δαβιρ καὶ ἐποίησεν πλευρὰς κυκλόθεν (Ⅲ)

- Et ædificavit super parietem templi tabulata per gyrum, in parietibus domus per circuitum templi et oraculi, et fecit latera in circuitu. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃6 ויבן על קיר הבית *יצוע **יציע סביב את קירות הבית סביב להיכל ולדביר ויעש צלעות סביב ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 6

The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.

- L'étage inférieur était large de cinq coudées, celui du milieu de six coudées, et le troisième de sept coudées; car il ménagea des retraites à la maison tout autour en dehors, afin que la charpente n'entrât pas dans les murs de la maison. (Ⅱ)

- ἡ πλευρὰ ἡ ὑποκάτω πέντε πήχεων τὸ πλάτος αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὸ μέσον ἕξ καὶ ἡ τρίτη ἑπτὰ ἐν πήχει τὸ πλάτος αὐτη̃ς ὅτι διάστημα ἔδωκεν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ κυκλόθεν ἔξωθεν του̃ οἴκου ὅπως μὴ ἐπιλαμβάνωνται τω̃ν τοίχων του̃ οἴκου (Ⅲ)

- Tabulatum quod subter erat, quinque cubitos habebat latitudinis, et medium tabulatum sex cubitorum latitudinis, et tertium tabulatum septem habens cubitos latitudinis. Trabes autem posuit in domo per circuitum forinsecus, ut non hærerent muris templi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃6 *היצוע **היציע התחתנה חמש באמה רחבה והתיכנה שש באמה רחבה והשלישית שבע באמה רחבה כי מגרעות נתן לבית סביב חוצה לבלתי אחז בקירות הבית ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 7

And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

- Lorsqu'on bâtit la maison, on se servit de pierres toutes taillées, et ni marteau, ni hache, ni aucun instrument de fer, ne furent entendus dans la maison pendant qu'on la construisait. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κος ἐν τω̨̃ οἰκοδομει̃σθαι αὐτὸν λίθοις ἀκροτόμοις ἀργοι̃ς ὠ̨κοδομήθη καὶ σφυ̃ρα καὶ πέλεκυς καὶ πα̃ν σκευ̃ος σιδηρου̃ν οὐκ ἠκούσθη ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ ἐν τω̨̃ οἰκοδομει̃σθαι αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Domus autem cum ædificaretur, de lapidibus dolatis atque perfectis ædificata est : et malleus, et securis, et omne ferramentum non sunt audita in domo cum ædificaretur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃6 והבית בהבנתו אבן שלמה מסע נבנה ומקבות והגרזן כל כלי ברזל לא נשמע בבית בהבנתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 8

The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

- L'entrée des chambres de l'étage inférieur était au côté droit de la maison; on montait à l'étage du milieu par un escalier tournant, et de l'étage du milieu au troisième. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὁ πυλὼν τη̃ς πλευρα̃ς τη̃ς ὑποκάτωθεν ὑπὸ τὴν ὠμίαν του̃ οἴκου τὴν δεξιάν καὶ ἑλικτὴ ἀνάβασις εἰς τὸ μέσον καὶ ἐκ τη̃ς μέσης ἐπὶ τὰ τριώροφα (Ⅲ)

- Ostium lateris medii in parte erat domus dextræ : et per cochleam ascendebant in medium cœnaculum, et a medio in tertium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃6 פתח הצלע התיכנה אל כתף הבית הימנית ובלולים יעלו על התיכנה ומן התיכנה אל השלשים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 9

So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.

- Après avoir achevé de bâtir la maison, Salomon la couvrit de planches et de poutres de cèdre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τὸν οἰ̃κον καὶ συνετέλεσεν αὐτόν καὶ ἐκοιλοστάθμησεν τὸν οἰ̃κον κέδροις (Ⅲ)

- Et ædificavit domum, et consummavit eam : texit quoque domum laquearibus cedrinis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃6 ויבן את הבית ויכלהו ויספן את הבית גבים ושדרת בארזים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 10

And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.

- Il donna cinq coudées de hauteur à chacun des étages qui entouraient toute la maison, et il les lia à la maison par des bois de cèdre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τοὺς ἐνδέσμους δι' ὅλου του̃ οἴκου πέντε ἐν πήχει τὸ ὕψος αὐτου̃ καὶ συνέσχεν τὸν ἔνδεσμον ἐν ξύλοις κεδρίνοις (Ⅲ)

- Et ædificavit tabulatum super omnem domum quinque cubitis altitudinis, et operuit domum lignis cedrinis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃6 ויבן את *היצוע **היציע על כל הבית חמש אמות קומתו ויאחז את הבית בעצי ארזים פ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 11

And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,

- L'Éternel adressa la parole à Salomon, et lui dit: Tu bâtis cette maison! (Ⅱ)

- Et factus est sermo Domini ad Salomonem, dicens : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃6 ויהי דבר יהוה אל שלמה לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 12

Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:

- Si tu marches selon mes lois, si tu pratiques mes ordonnances, si tu observes et suis tous mes commandements, j'accomplirai à ton égard la promesse que j'ai faite à David, ton père, (Ⅱ)

- Domus hæc, quam ædificas, si ambulaveris in præceptis meis, et judicia mea feceris, et custodieris omnia mandata mea, gradiens per ea, firmabo sermonem meum tibi, quem locutus sum ad David patrem tuum : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃6 הבית הזה אשר אתה בנה אם תלך בחקתי ואת משפטי תעשה ושמרת את כל מצותי ללכת בהם והקמתי את דברי אתך אשר דברתי אל דוד אביך ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 13

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

- j'habiterai au milieu des enfants d'Israël, et je n'abandonnerai point mon peuple d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- et habitabo in medio filiorum Israël, et non derelinquam populum meum Israël.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃6 ושכנתי בתוך בני ישראל ולא אעזב את עמי ישראל ס‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 14

So Solomon built the house, and finished it.

- Après avoir achevé de bâtir la maison, (Ⅱ)

- Igitur ædificavit Salomon domum, et consummavit eam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃6 ויבן שלמה את הבית ויכלהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 15

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the ceiling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

- Salomon en revêtit intérieurement les murs de planches de cèdre, depuis le sol jusqu'au plafond; il revêtit ainsi de bois l'intérieur, et il couvrit le sol de la maison de planches de cyprès. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τοὺς τοίχους του̃ οἴκου διὰ ξύλων κεδρίνων ἀπὸ του̃ ἐδάφους του̃ οἴκου καὶ ἕως τω̃ν δοκω̃ν καὶ ἕως τω̃ν τοίχων ἐκοιλοστάθμησεν συνεχόμενα ξύλοις ἔσωθεν καὶ περιέσχεν τὸ ἔσω του̃ οἴκου ἐν πλευραι̃ς πευκίναις (Ⅲ)

- Et ædificavit parietes domus intrinsecus tabulatis cedrinis : a pavimento domus usque ad summitatem parietum, et usque ad laquearia, operuit lignis cedrinis intrinsecus : et texit pavimentum domus tabulis abiegnis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃6 ויבן את קירות הבית מביתה בצלעות ארזים מקרקע הבית עד קירות הספן צפה עץ מבית ויצף את קרקע הבית בצלעות ברושים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 16

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.

- Il revêtit de planches de cèdre les vingt coudées du fond de la maison, depuis le sol jusqu'au haut des murs, et il réserva cet espace pour en faire le sanctuaire, le lieu très saint. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τοὺς εἴκοσι πήχεις ἀπ' ἄκρου του̃ οἴκου τὸ πλευρὸν τὸ ἓν ἀπὸ του̃ ἐδάφους ἕως τω̃ν δοκω̃ν καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐκ του̃ δαβιρ εἰς τὸ ἅγιον τω̃ν ἁγίων (Ⅲ)

- Ædificavitque viginti cubitorum ad posteriorem partem templi tabulata cedrina, a pavimento usque ad superiora : et fecit interiorem domum oraculi in Sanctum sanctorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃6 ויבן את עשרים אמה *מירכותי **מירכתי הבית בצלעות ארזים מן הקרקע עד הקירות ויבן לו מבית לדביר לקדש הקדשים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 17

And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.

- Les quarante coudées sur le devant formaient la maison, c'est-à-dire le temple. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τεσσαράκοντα πηχω̃ν ἠ̃ν ὁ ναὸς κατὰ πρόσωπον (Ⅲ)

- Porro quadraginta cubitorum erat ipsum templum pro foribus oraculi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃6 וארבעים באמה היה הבית הוא ההיכל לפני ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 18

And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.

- Le bois de cèdre à l'intérieur de la maison offrait des sculptures de coloquintes et de fleurs épanouies; tout était de cèdre, on ne voyait aucune pierre. (Ⅱ)

- Et cedro omnis domus intrinsecus vestiebatur, habens tornaturas et juncturas suas fabrefactas, et cælaturas eminentes : omnia cedrinis tabulis vestiebantur : nec omnino lapis apparere poterat in pariete. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃6 וארז אל הבית פנימה מקלעת פקעים ופטורי צצים הכל ארז אין אבן נראה ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 19

And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

- Salomon établit le sanctuaire intérieurement au milieu de la maison, pour y placer l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- του̃ δαβιρ ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ οἴκου ἔσωθεν δου̃ναι ἐκει̃ τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Oraculum autem in medio domus, in interiori parte fecerat, ut poneret ibi arcam fœderis Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃6 ודביר בתוך הבית מפנימה הכין לתתן שם את ארון ברית יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 20

And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.

- Le sanctuaire avait vingt coudées de longueur, vingt coudées de largeur, et vingt coudées de hauteur. Salomon le couvrit d'or pur. Il fit devant le sanctuaire un autel de bois de cèdre et le couvrit d'or. (Ⅱ)

- εἴκοσι πήχεις μη̃κος καὶ εἴκοσι πήχεις πλάτος καὶ εἴκοσι πήχεις τὸ ὕψος αὐτου̃ καὶ περιέσχεν αὐτὸν χρυσίω̨ συγκεκλεισμένω̨ καὶ ἐποίησεν θυσιαστήριον (Ⅲ)

- Porro oraculum habebat viginti cubitos longitudinis, et viginti cubitos latitudinis, et viginti cubitos altitudinis : et operuit illud atque vestivit auro purissimo : sed et altare vestivit cedro. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃6 ולפני הדביר עשרים אמה ארך ועשרים אמה רחב ועשרים אמה קומתו ויצפהו זהב סגור ויצף מזבח ארז ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 21

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.

- Il couvrit d'or pur l'intérieur de la maison, et il fit passer le voile dans des chaînettes d'or devant le sanctuaire, qu'il couvrit d'or. (Ⅱ)

- κατὰ πρόσωπον του̃ δαβιρ καὶ περιέσχεν αὐτὸ χρυσίω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Domum quoque ante oraculum operuit auro purissimo, et affixit laminas clavis aureis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃6 ויצף שלמה את הבית מפנימה זהב סגור ויעבר *ברתיקות **ברתוקות זהב לפני הדביר ויצפהו זהב ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 22

And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.

- Il couvrit d'or toute la maison, la maison tout entière, et il couvrit d'or tout l'autel qui était devant le sanctuaire. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὅλον τὸν οἰ̃κον περιέσχεν χρυσίω̨ ἕως συντελείας παντὸς του̃ οἴκου (Ⅲ)

- Nihilque erat in templo quod non auro tegeretur : sed et totum altare oraculi texit auro. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃6 ואת כל הבית צפה זהב עד תם כל הבית וכל המזבח אשר לדביר צפה זהב ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 23

And within the oracle he made two cherubim of olive tree, each ten cubits high.

- Il fit dans le sanctuaire deux chérubins de bois d'olivier sauvage, ayant dix coudées de hauteur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐν τω̨̃ δαβιρ δύο χερουβιν δέκα πήχεων μέγεθος ἐσταθμωμένον (Ⅲ)

- Et fecit in oraculo duos cherubim de lignis olivarum, decem cubitorum altitudinis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃6 ויעש בדביר שני כרובים עצי שמן עשר אמות קומתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 24

And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.

- Chacune des deux ailes de l'un des chérubins avait cinq coudées, ce qui faisait dix coudées de l'extrémité d'une de ses ailes à l'extrémité de l'autre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πέντε πήχεων πτερύγιον του̃ χερουβ του̃ ἑνός καὶ πέντε πήχεων πτερύγιον αὐτου̃ τὸ δεύτερον ἐν πήχει δέκα ἀπὸ μέρους πτερυγίου αὐτου̃ εἰς μέρος πτερυγίου αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Quinque cubitorum ala cherub una, et quinque cubitorum ala cherub altera : id est, decem cubitos habentes, a summitate alæ unius usque ad alæ alterius summitatem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃6 וחמש אמות כנף הכרוב האחת וחמש אמות כנף הכרוב השנית עשר אמות מקצות כנפיו ועד קצות כנפיו ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 25

And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubim were of one measure and one size.

- Le second chérubin avait aussi dix coudées. La mesure et la forme étaient les mêmes pour les deux chérubins. (Ⅱ)

- οὕτως τω̨̃ χερουβ τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ ἐν μέτρω̨ ἑνὶ συντέλεια μία ἀμφοτέροις (Ⅲ)

- Decem quoque cubitorum erat cherub secundus : in mensura pari, et opus unum erat in duobus cherubim, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃6 ועשר באמה הכרוב השני מדה אחת וקצב אחד לשני הכרבים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 26

The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.

- La hauteur de chacun des deux chérubins était de dix coudées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ ὕψος του̃ χερουβ του̃ ἑνὸς δέκα ἐν πήχει καὶ οὕτως τὸ χερουβ τὸ δεύτερον (Ⅲ)

- id est, altitudinem habebat unus cherub decem cubitorum, et similiter cherub secundus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃6 קומת הכרוב האחד עשר באמה וכן הכרוב השני ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 27

And he set the cherubim within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubim, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

- Salomon plaça les chérubins au milieu de la maison, dans l'intérieur. Leurs ailes étaient déployées: l'aile du premier touchait à l'un des murs, et l'aile du second touchait à l'autre mur; et leurs autres ailes se rencontraient par l'extrémité au milieu de la maison. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀμφότερα τὰ χερουβιν ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ οἴκου του̃ ἐσωτάτου καὶ διεπέτασεν τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἥπτετο πτέρυξ μία του̃ τοίχου καὶ πτέρυξ ἥπτετο του̃ τοίχου του̃ δευτέρου καὶ αἱ πτέρυγες αὐτω̃ν αἱ ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ οἴκου ἥπτοντο πτέρυξ πτέρυγος (Ⅲ)

- Posuitque cherubim in medio templi interioris : extendebant autem alas suas cherubim, et tangebat ala una parietem, et ala cherub secundi tangebat parietem alterum : alæ autem alteræ in media parte templi se invicem contingebant. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃6 ויתן את הכרובים בתוך הבית הפנימי ויפרשו את כנפי הכרבים ותגע כנף האחד בקיר וכנף הכרוב השני נגעת בקיר השני וכנפיהם אל תוך הבית נגעת כנף אל כנף ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 28

And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.

- Salomon couvrit d'or les chérubins. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ περιέσχεν τὰ χερουβιν χρυσίω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Texit quoque cherubim auro. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃6 ויצף את הכרובים זהב ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 29

And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.

- Il fit sculpter sur tout le pourtour des murs de la maison, à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur, des chérubins, des palmes et des fleurs épanouies. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πάντας τοὺς τοίχους του̃ οἴκου κύκλω̨ ἐγκολαπτὰ ἔγραψεν γραφίδι χερουβιν καὶ φοίνικες τω̨̃ ἐσωτέρω̨ καὶ τω̨̃ ἐξωτέρω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Et omnes parietes templi per circuitum sculpsit variis cælaturis et torno : et fecit in eis cherubim, et palmas, et picturas varias, quasi prominentes de pariete, et egredientes. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃6 ואת כל קירות הבית מסב קלע פתוחי מקלעות כרובים ותמרת ופטורי צצים מלפנים ולחיצון ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 30

And the floors of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

- Il couvrit d'or le sol de la maison, à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ ἔδαφος του̃ οἴκου περιέσχεν χρυσίω̨ του̃ ἐσωτάτου καὶ του̃ ἐξωτάτου (Ⅲ)

- Sed et pavimentum domus texit auro intrinsecus et extrinsecus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃6 ואת קרקע הבית צפה זהב לפנימה ולחיצון ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 31

And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.

- Il fit à l'entrée du sanctuaire une porte à deux battants, de bois d'olivier sauvage; l'encadrement avec les poteaux équivalait à un cinquième du mur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τω̨̃ θυρώματι του̃ δαβιρ ἐποίησεν θύρας ξύλων ἀρκευθίνων καὶ φλιὰς πενταπλα̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Et in ingressu oraculi fecit ostiola de lignis olivarum, postesque angulorum quinque. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃6 ואת פתח הדביר עשה דלתות עצי שמן האיל מזוזות חמשית ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 32

The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubim, and upon the palm trees.

- Les deux battants étaient de bois d'olivier sauvage. Il y fit sculpter des chérubins, des palmes et des fleurs épanouies, et il les couvrit d'or; il étendit aussi l'or sur les chérubins et sur les palmes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ δύο θύρας ξύλων πευκίνων καὶ ἐγκολαπτὰ ἐπ' αὐτω̃ν ἐγκεκολαμμένα χερουβιν καὶ φοίνικας καὶ πέταλα διαπεπετασμένα καὶ περιέσχεν χρυσίω̨ καὶ κατέβαινεν ἐπὶ τὰ χερουβιν καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς φοίνικας τὸ χρυσίον (Ⅲ)

- Et duo ostia de lignis olivarum : et sculpsit in eis picturam cherubim, et palmarum species, et anaglypha valde prominentia : et texit ea auro, et operuit tam cherubim quam palmas, et cetera, auro. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃6 ושתי דלתות עצי שמן וקלע עליהם מקלעות כרובים ותמרות ופטורי צצים וצפה זהב וירד על הכרובים ועל התמרות את הזהב ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 33

So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.

- Il fit de même, pour la porte du temple, des poteaux de bois d'olivier sauvage, ayant le quart de la dimension du mur, et deux battants de bois de cyprès; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησεν τω̨̃ πυλω̃νι του̃ ναου̃ φλιαὶ ξύλων ἀρκευθίνων στοαὶ τετραπλω̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Fecitque in introitu templi postes de lignis olivarum quadrangulatos, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 33 ׃6 וכן עשה לפתח ההיכל מזוזות עצי שמן מאת רבעית ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 34

And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.

- chacun des battants était formé de deux planches brisées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐν ἀμφοτέραις ται̃ς θύραις ξύλα πεύκινα δύο πτυχαὶ ἡ θύρα ἡ μία καὶ στροφει̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ δύο πτυχαὶ ἡ θύρα ἡ δευτέρα στρεφόμενα (Ⅲ)

- et duo ostia de lignis abiegnis altrinsecus : et utrumque ostium duplex erat, et se invicem tenens aperiebatur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 34 ׃6 ושתי דלתות עצי ברושים שני צלעים הדלת האחת גלילים ושני קלעים הדלת השנית גלילים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 35

And he carved thereon cherubim and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.

- Il y fit sculpter des chérubins, des palmes et des fleurs épanouies, et il les couvrit d'or, qu'il étendit sur la sculpture. (Ⅱ)

- ἐγκεκολαμμένα χερουβιν καὶ φοίνικες καὶ διαπεπετασμένα πέταλα καὶ περιεχόμενα χρυσίω̨ καταγομένω̨ ἐπὶ τὴν ἐκτύπωσιν (Ⅲ)

- Et sculpsit cherubim, et palmas, et cælaturas valde eminentes : operuitque omnia laminis aureis opere quadro ad regulam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 35 ׃6 וקלע כרובים ותמרות ופטרי צצים וצפה זהב מישר על המחקה ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 36

And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.

- Il bâtit le parvis intérieur de trois rangées de pierres de taille et d'une rangée de poutres de cèdre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν ἐσωτάτην τρει̃ς στίχους ἀπελεκήτων καὶ στίχος κατειργασμένης κέδρου κυκλόθεν (Ⅲ)

- Et ædificavit atrium interius tribus ordinibus lapidum politorum, et uno ordine lignorum cedri. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 36 ׃6 ויבן את החצר הפנימית שלשה טורי גזית וטור כרתת ארזים ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 37

In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif:

- La quatrième année, au mois de Ziv, les fondements de la maison de l'Éternel furent posés; (Ⅱ)

- Anno quarto fundata est domus Domini in mense Zio : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 37 ׃6 בשנה הרביעית יסד בית יהוה בירח זו ‬ (Ⅴ)

6. 38

And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

- et la onzième année, au mois de Bul, qui est le huitième mois, la maison fut achevée dans toutes ses parties et telle qu'elle devait être. Salomon la construisit dans l'espace de sept ans. (Ⅱ)

- et in anno undecimo, mense Bul (ipse est mensis octavus), perfecta est domus in omni opere suo, et in universis utensilibus suis : ædificavitque eam annis septem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 38 ׃6 ובשנה האחת עשרה בירח בול הוא החדש השמיני כלה הבית לכל דבריו ולכל *משפטו **משפטיו ויבנהו שבע שנים ‬ (Ⅴ)
