14. 1

In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.

- La seconde année de Joas, fils de Joachaz, roi d'Israël, Amatsia, fils de Joas, roi de Juda, régna. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ἔτει δευτέρω̨ τω̨̃ Ιωας υἱω̨̃ Ιωαχας βασιλει̃ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Αμεσσιας υἱὸς Ιωας βασιλεὺς Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- In anno secundo Joas filii Joachaz regis Israël, regnavit Amasias filius Joas regis Juda. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃14 בשנת שתים ליואש בן יואחז מלך ישראל מלך אמציהו בן יואש מלך יהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 2

He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

- Il avait vingt-cinq ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna vingt-neuf ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Joaddan, de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)

- υἱὸς εἴκοσι καὶ πέντε ἐτω̃ν ἠ̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ βασιλεύειν αὐτὸν καὶ εἴκοσι καὶ ἐννέα ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ὄνομα τη̃ς μητρὸς αὐτου̃ Ιωαδιν ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ)

- Viginti quinque annorum erat cum regnare cœpisset : viginti autem et novem annis regnavit in Jerusalem. Nomen matris ejus Joadan de Jerusalem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃14 בן עשרים וחמש שנה היה במלכו ועשרים ותשע שנה מלך בירושלם ושם אמו *יהועדין **יהועדן מן ירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 3

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.

- Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel, non pas toutefois comme David, son père; il agit entièrement comme avait agi Joas, son père. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ εὐθὲς ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς κυρίου πλὴν οὐχ ὡς Δαυιδ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτου̃ κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν Ιωας ὁ πατὴρ αὐτου̃ ἐποίησεν (Ⅲ)

- Et fecit rectum coram Domino, verumtamen non ut David pater ejus. Juxta omnia quæ fecit Joas pater suus, fecit : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃14 ויעש הישר בעיני יהוה רק לא כדוד אביו ככל אשר עשה יואש אביו עשה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 4

Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.

- Seulement, les hauts-lieux ne disparurent point; le peuple offrait encore des sacrifices et des parfums sur les hauts-lieux. (Ⅱ)

- πλὴν τὰ ὑψηλὰ οὐκ ἐξη̃ρεν ἔτι ὁ λαὸς ἐθυσίαζεν καὶ ἐθυμίων ἐν τοι̃ς ὑψηλοι̃ς (Ⅲ)

- nisi hoc tantum, quod excelsa non abstulit : adhuc enim populus immolabat, et adolebat incensum in excelsis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃14 רק הבמות לא סרו עוד העם מזבחים ומקטרים בבמות ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 5

And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.

- Lorsque la royauté fut affermie entre ses mains, il frappa ses serviteurs qui avaient tué le roi, son père. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ὅτε κατίσχυσεν ἡ βασιλεία ἐν χειρὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπάταξεν τοὺς δούλους αὐτου̃ τοὺς πατάξαντας τὸν πατέρα αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque obtinuisset regnum, percussit servos suos, qui interfecerant regem patrem suum : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃14 ויהי כאשר חזקה הממלכה בידו ויך את עבדיו המכים את המלך אביו ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 6

But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

- Mais il ne fit pas mourir les fils des meurtriers, selon ce qui est écrit dans le livre de la loi de Moïse, où l'Éternel donne ce commandement: On ne fera point mourir les pères pour les enfants, et l'on ne fera point mourir les enfants pour les pères; mais on fera mourir chacun pour son péché. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τω̃ν παταξάντων οὐκ ἐθανάτωσεν καθὼς γέγραπται ἐν βιβλίω̨ νόμων Μωυση̃ ὡς ἐνετείλατο κύριος λέγων οὐκ ἀποθανου̃νται πατέρες ὑπὲρ υἱω̃ν καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἀποθανου̃νται ὑπὲρ πατέρων ὅτι ἀλλ' ἢ ἕκαστος ἐν ται̃ς ἁμαρτίαις αὐτου̃ ἀποθανει̃ται (Ⅲ)

- filios autem eorum qui occiderant, non occidit, juxta quod scriptum est in libro legis Moysi, sicut præcepit Dominus, dicens : Non morientur patres pro filiis, neque filii morientur pro patribus : sed unusquisque in peccato suo morietur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃14 ואת בני המכים לא המית ככתוב בספר תורת משה אשר צוה יהוה לאמר לא יומתו אבות על בנים ובנים לא יומתו על אבות כי אם איש בחטאו *ימות **יומת ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 7

He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.

- Il battit dix mille Édomites dans la vallée du sel; et durant la guerre, il prit Séla, et l'appela Joktheel, nom qu'elle a conservé jusqu'à ce jour. (Ⅱ)

- αὐτὸς ἐπάταξεν τὸν Εδωμ ἐν Γαιμελε δέκα χιλιάδας καὶ συνέλαβε τὴν πέτραν ἐν τω̨̃ πολέμω̨ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτη̃ς Καθοηλ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης (Ⅲ)

- Ipse percussit Edom in valle Salinarum decem millia, et apprehendit petram in prælio, vocavitque nomen ejus Jectehel usque in præsentem diem.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃14 הוא הכה את אדום בגיא *המלח **מלח עשרת אלפים ותפש את הסלע במלחמה ויקרא את שמה יקתאל עד היום הזה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 8

Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.

- Alors Amatsia envoya des messagers à Joas, fils de Joachaz, fils de Jéhu, roi d'Israël, pour lui dire: Viens, voyons-nous en face! (Ⅱ)

- τότε ἀπέστειλεν Αμεσσιας ἀγγέλους πρὸς Ιωας υἱὸν Ιωαχας υἱου̃ Ιου βασιλέως Ισραηλ λέγων δευ̃ρο ὀφθω̃μεν προσώποις (Ⅲ)

- Tunc misit Amasias nuntios ad Joas filium Joachaz filii Jehu regis Israël, dicens : Veni, et videamus nos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃14 אז שלח אמציה מלאכים אל יהואש בן יהואחז בן יהוא מלך ישראל לאמר לכה נתראה פנים ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 9

And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

- Et Joas, roi d'Israël, fit dire à Amatsia, roi de Juda: L'épine du Liban envoya dire au cèdre du Liban: Donne ta fille pour femme à mon fils! Et les bêtes sauvages qui sont au Liban passèrent et foulèrent l'épine. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ιωας βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ πρὸς Αμεσσιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα λέγων ὁ ακαν ὁ ἐν τω̨̃ Λιβάνω̨ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς τὴν κέδρον τὴν ἐν τω̨̃ Λιβάνω̨ λέγων δὸς τὴν θυγατέρα σου τω̨̃ υἱω̨̃ μου εἰς γυναι̃κα καὶ διη̃λθον τὰ θηρία του̃ ἀγρου̃ τὰ ἐν τω̨̃ Λιβάνω̨ καὶ συνεπάτησαν τὸν ακανα (Ⅲ)

- Remisitque Joas rex Israël ad Amasiam regem Juda, dicens : Carduus Libani misit ad cedrum quæ est in Libano, dicens : Da filiam tuam filio meo uxorem. Transieruntque bestiæ saltus quæ sunt in Libano, et conculcaverunt carduum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃14 וישלח יהואש מלך ישראל אל אמציהו מלך יהודה לאמר החוח אשר בלבנון שלח אל הארז אשר בלבנון לאמר תנה את בתך לבני לאשה ותעבר חית השדה אשר בלבנון ותרמס את החוח ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 10

Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

- Tu as battu les Édomites, et ton coeur s'élève. Jouis de ta gloire, et reste chez toi. Pourquoi t'engager dans une malheureuse entreprise, qui amènerait ta ruine et celle de Juda? (Ⅱ)

- τύπτων ἐπάταξας τὴν Ιδουμαίαν καὶ ἐπη̃ρέν σε ἡ καρδία σου ἐνδοξάσθητι καθήμενος ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ σου καὶ ἵνα τί ἐρίζεις ἐν κακία̨ σου καὶ πεση̨̃ σὺ καὶ Ιουδας μετὰ σου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Percutiens invaluisti super Edom, et sublevavit te cor tuum : contentus esto gloria, et sede in domo tua : quare provocas malum, ut cadas tu et Judas tecum ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃14 הכה הכית את אדום ונשאך לבך הכבד ושב בביתך ולמה תתגרה ברעה ונפלתה אתה ויהודה עמך ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 11

But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

- Mais Amatsia ne l'écouta pas. Et Joas, roi d'Israël, monta; et ils se virent en face, lui et Amatsia, roi de Juda, à Beth Schémesch, qui est à Juda. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσεν Αμεσσιας καὶ ἀνέβη ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ὤφθησαν προσώποις αὐτὸς καὶ Αμεσσιας βασιλεὺς Ιουδα ἐν Βαιθσαμυς τη̨̃ του̃ Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- Et non acquievit Amasias. Ascenditque Joas rex Israël, et viderunt se, ipse et Amasias rex Juda, in Bethsames oppido Judæ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃14 ולא שמע אמציהו ויעל יהואש מלך ישראל ויתראו פנים הוא ואמציהו מלך יהודה בבית שמש אשר ליהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 12

And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.

- Juda fut battu par Israël, et chacun s'enfuit dans sa tente. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔπταισεν Ιουδας ἀπὸ προσώπου Ισραηλ καὶ ἔφυγεν ἀνὴρ εἰς τὸ σκήνωμα αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Percussusque est Juda coram Israël, et fugerunt unusquisque in tabernacula sua. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃14 וינגף יהודה לפני ישראל וינסו איש *לאהלו **לאהליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 13

And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

- Joas, roi d'Israël, prit à Beth Schémesch Amatsia, roi de Juda, fils de Joas, fils d'Achazia. Il vint à Jérusalem, et fit une brèche de quatre cents coudées dans la muraille de Jérusalem, depuis la porte d'Éphraïm jusqu'à la porte de l'angle. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸν Αμεσσιαν υἱὸν Ιωας υἱου̃ Οχοζιου βασιλέα Ιουδα συνέλαβεν Ιωας υἱὸς Ιωαχας βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ ἐν Βαιθσαμυς καὶ ἠ̃λθεν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ καθει̃λεν ἐν τω̨̃ τείχει Ιερουσαλημ ἐν τη̨̃ πύλη̨ Εφραιμ ἕως πύλης τη̃ς γωνίας τετρακοσίους πήχεις (Ⅲ)

- Amasiam vero regem Juda, filium Joas filii Ochoziæ, cepit Joas rex Israël in Bethsames, et adduxit eum in Jerusalem : et interrupit murum Jerusalem, a porta Ephraim usque ad portam anguli, quadringentis cubitis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃14 ואת אמציהו מלך יהודה בן יהואש בן אחזיהו תפש יהואש מלך ישראל בבית שמש *ויבאו **ויבא ירושלם ויפרץ בחומת ירושלם בשער אפרים עד שער הפנה ארבע מאות אמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 14

And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and hostages, and returned to Samaria.

- Il prit tout l'or et l'argent et tous les vases qui se trouvaient dans la maison de l'Éternel et dans les trésors de la maison du roi; il prit aussi des otages, et il retourna à Samarie. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸ χρυσίον καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ εὑρεθέντα ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου καὶ ἐν θησαυροι̃ς οἴκου του̃ βασιλέως καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τω̃ν συμμίξεων καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν εἰς Σαμάρειαν (Ⅲ)

- Tulitque omne aurum et argentum, et universa vasa quæ inventa sunt in domo Domini et in thesauris regis, et obsides, et reversus est in Samariam.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃14 ולקח את כל הזהב והכסף ואת כל הכלים הנמצאים בית יהוה ובאצרות בית המלך ואת בני התערבות וישב שמרונה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 15

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

- Le reste des actions de Joas, ce qu'il a fait, ses exploits, et la guerre qu'il eut avec Amatsia, roi de Juda, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Ιωας ὅσα ἐποίησεν ἐν δυναστεία̨ αὐτου̃ ἃ ἐπολέμησεν μετὰ Αμεσσιου βασιλέως Ιουδα οὐχὶ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐπὶ βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem verborum Joas quæ fecit, et fortitudo ejus qua pugnavit contra Amasiam regem Juda, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro sermonum dierum regum Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃14 ויתר דברי יהואש אשר עשה וגבורתו ואשר נלחם עם אמציהו מלך יהודה הלא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 16

And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.

- Joas se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré à Samarie avec les rois d'Israël. Et Jéroboam, son fils, régna à sa place. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Ιωας μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν Σαμαρεία̨ μετὰ τω̃ν βασιλέων Ισραηλ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Ιεροβοαμ υἱὸς αὐτου̃ ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Dormivitque Joas cum patribus suis, et sepultus est in Samaria cum regibus Israël, et regnavit Jeroboam filius ejus pro eo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃14 וישכב יהואש עם אבתיו ויקבר בשמרון עם מלכי ישראל וימלך ירבעם בנו תחתיו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 17

And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

- Amatsia, fils de Joas, roi de Juda, vécut quinze ans après la mort de Joas, fils de Joachaz, roi d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Αμεσσιας υἱὸς Ιωας βασιλεὺς Ιουδα μετὰ τὸ ἀποθανει̃ν Ιωας υἱὸν Ιωαχας βασιλέα Ισραηλ πεντεκαίδεκα ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Vixit autem Amasias filius Joas rex Juda postquam mortuus est Joas filius Joachaz regis Israël, quindecim annis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃14 ויחי אמציהו בן יואש מלך יהודה אחרי מות יהואש בן יהואחז מלך ישראל חמש עשרה שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 18

And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

- Le reste des actions d'Amatsia, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Αμεσσιου καὶ πάντα ἃ ἐποίησεν οὐχὶ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐπὶ βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem sermonum Amasiæ, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro sermonum dierum regum Juda ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃14 ויתר דברי אמציהו הלא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי יהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 19

Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.

- On forma contre lui une conspiration à Jérusalem, et il s'enfuit à Lakis; mais on le poursuivit à Lakis, où on le fit mourir. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ συνεστράφησαν ἐπ' αὐτὸν σύστρεμμα ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἔφυγεν εἰς Λαχις καὶ ἀπέστειλαν ὀπίσω αὐτου̃ εἰς Λαχις καὶ ἐθανάτωσαν αὐτὸν ἐκει̃ (Ⅲ)

- Factaque est contra eum conjuratio in Jerusalem : at ille fugit in Lachis. Miseruntque post eum in Lachis, et interfecerunt eum ibi : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃14 ויקשרו עליו קשר בירושלם וינס לכישה וישלחו אחריו לכישה וימתהו שם ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 20

And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.

- On le transporta sur des chevaux, et il fut enterré à Jérusalem avec ses pères, dans la ville de David. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ραν αὐτὸν ἐφ' ἵππων καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν Ιερουσαλημ μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ (Ⅲ)

- et asportaverunt in equis, sepultusque est in Jerusalem cum patribus suis in civitate David. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃14 וישאו אתו על הסוסים ויקבר בירושלם עם אבתיו בעיר דוד ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 21

And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

- Et tout le peuple de Juda prit Azaria, âgé de seize ans, et l'établit roi à la place de son père Amatsia. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς Ιουδα τὸν Αζαριαν καὶ αὐτὸς υἱὸς ἑκκαίδεκα ἐτω̃ν καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν αὐτὸν ἀντὶ του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ Αμεσσιου (Ⅲ)

- Tulit autem universus populus Judæ Azariam annos natum sedecim, et constituerunt eum regem pro patre ejus Amasia. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃14 ויקחו כל עם יהודה את עזריה והוא בן שש עשרה שנה וימלכו אתו תחת אביו אמציהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 22

He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.

- Azaria rebâtit Élath et la fit rentrer sous la puissance de Juda, après que le roi fut couché avec ses pères. (Ⅱ)

- αὐτὸς ὠ̨κοδόμησεν τὴν Αιλωθ καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν αὐτὴν τω̨̃ Ιουδα μετὰ τὸ κοιμηθη̃ναι τὸν βασιλέα μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Ipse ædificavit Ælath, et restituit eam Judæ, postquam dormivit rex cum patribus suis.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃14 הוא בנה את אילת וישבה ליהודה אחרי שכב המלך עם אבתיו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 23

In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.

- La quinzième année d'Amatsia, fils de Joas, roi de Juda, Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d'Israël, régna à Samarie. Il régna quarante et un ans. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ἔτει πεντεκαιδεκάτω̨ του̃ Αμεσσιου υἱου̃ Ιωας βασιλέως Ιουδα ἐβασίλευσεν Ιεροβοαμ υἱὸς Ιωας ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἐν Σαμαρεία̨ τεσσαράκοντα καὶ ἓν ἔτος (Ⅲ)

- Anno quintodecimo Amasiæ filii Joas regis Juda, regnavit Jeroboam filius Joas regis Israël in Samaria, quadraginta et uno anno. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃14 בשנת חמש עשרה שנה לאמציהו בן יואש מלך יהודה מלך ירבעם בן יואש מלך ישראל בשמרון ארבעים ואחת שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 24

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

- Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel; il ne se détourna d'aucun des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, qui avait fait pécher Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου οὐκ ἀπέστη ἀπὸ πασω̃ν ἁμαρτιω̃ν Ιεροβοαμ υἱου̃ Ναβατ ὃς ἐξήμαρτεν τὸν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Et fecit quod malum est coram Domino : non recessit ab omnibus peccatis Jeroboam filii Nabat, qui peccare fecit Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃14 ויעש הרע בעיני יהוה לא סר מכל חטאות ירבעם בן נבט אשר החטיא את ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 25

He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.

- Il rétablit les limites d'Israël depuis l'entrée de Hamath jusqu'à la mer de la plaine, selon la parole que l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, avait prononcée par son serviteur Jonas, le prophète, fils d'Amitthaï, de Gath Hépher. (Ⅱ)

- αὐτὸς ἀπέστησεν τὸ ὅριον Ισραηλ ἀπὸ εἰσόδου Αιμαθ ἕως τη̃ς θαλάσσης τη̃ς Αραβα κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα κυρίου θεου̃ Ισραηλ ὃ ἐλάλησεν ἐν χειρὶ δούλου αὐτου̃ Ιωνα υἱου̃ Αμαθι του̃ προφήτου του̃ ἐκ Γεθχοβερ (Ⅲ)

- Ipse restituit terminos Israël ab introitu Emath usque ad mare solitudinis, juxta sermonem Domini Dei Israël quem locutus est per servum suum Jonam filium Amathi prophetam, qui erat de Geth, quæ est in Opher. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃14 הוא השיב את גבול ישראל מלבוא חמת עד ים הערבה כדבר יהוה אלהי ישראל אשר דבר ביד עבדו יונה בן אמתי הנביא אשר מגת החפר ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 26

For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.

- Car l'Éternel vit l'affliction d'Israël à son comble et l'extrémité à laquelle se trouvaient réduits esclaves et hommes libres, sans qu'il y eût personne pour venir au secours d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι εἰ̃δεν κύριος τὴν ταπείνωσιν Ισραηλ πικρὰν σφόδρα καὶ ὀλιγοστοὺς συνεχομένους καὶ ἐσπανισμένους καὶ ἐγκαταλελειμμένους καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν ὁ βοηθω̃ν τω̨̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Vidit enim Dominus afflictionem Israël amaram nimis, et quod consumpti essent usque ad clausos carcere et extremos, et non esset qui auxiliaretur Israëli. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃14 כי ראה יהוה את עני ישראל מרה מאד ואפס עצור ואפס עזוב ואין עזר לישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 27

And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

- Or l'Éternel n'avait point résolu d'effacer le nom d'Israël de dessous les cieux, et il les délivra par Jéroboam, fils de Joas. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐξαλει̃ψαι τὸ σπέρμα Ισραηλ ὑποκάτωθεν του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτοὺς διὰ χειρὸς Ιεροβοαμ υἱου̃ Ιωας (Ⅲ)

- Nec locutus est Dominus ut deleret nomen Israël de sub cælo, sed salvavit eos in manu Jeroboam filii Joas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃14 ולא דבר יהוה למחות את שם ישראל מתחת השמים ויושיעם ביד ירבעם בן יואש ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 28

Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

- Le reste des actions de Jéroboam, tout ce qu'il a fait, ses exploits à la guerre, et comment il fit rentrer sous la puissance d'Israël Damas et Hamath qui avaient appartenu à Juda, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Ιεροβοαμ καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν καὶ αἱ δυναστει̃αι αὐτου̃ ὅσα ἐπολέμησεν καὶ ὅσα ἐπέστρεψεν τὴν Δαμασκὸν καὶ τὴν Αιμαθ τω̨̃ Ιουδα ἐν Ισραηλ οὐχὶ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐπὶ βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem sermonum Jeroboam, et universa quæ fecit, et fortitudo ejus qua præliatus est, et quomodo restituit Damascum et Emath Judæ in Israël, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro sermonum dierum regum Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃14 ויתר דברי ירבעם וכל אשר עשה וגבורתו אשר נלחם ואשר השיב את דמשק ואת חמת ליהודה בישראל הלא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 29

And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zachariah his son reigned in his stead.

- Jéroboam se coucha avec ses pères, avec les rois d'Israël. Et Zacharie, son fils, régna à sa place. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Ιεροβοαμ μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ μετὰ βασιλέων Ισραηλ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Αζαριας υἱὸς Αμεσσιου ἀντὶ του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Dormivitque Jeroboam cum patribus suis regibus Israël, et regnavit Zacharias filius ejus pro eo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃14 וישכב ירבעם עם אבתיו עם מלכי ישראל וימלך זכריה בנו תחתיו פ‬ (Ⅴ)
