2. 1

And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

- Lorsque l'Éternel fit monter Élie au ciel dans un tourbillon, Élie partait de Guilgal avec Élisée. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ ἀνάγειν κύριον τὸν Ηλιου ἐν συσσεισμω̨̃ ὡς εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἐπορεύθη Ηλιου καὶ Ελισαιε ἐκ Γαλγαλων (Ⅲ)

- Factum est autem cum levare vellet Dominus Eliam per turbinem in cælum, ibant Elias et Eliseus de Galgalis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃2 ויהי בהעלות יהוה את אליהו בסערה השמים וילך אליהו ואלישע מן הגלגל ‬ (Ⅴ)

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.

- Élie dit à Élisée: Reste ici, je te prie, car l'Éternel m'envoie jusqu'à Béthel. Élisée répondit: L'Éternel est vivant et ton âme est vivante! je ne te quitterai point. Et ils descendirent à Béthel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ηλιου πρὸς Ελισαιε κάθου δὴ ἐνταυ̃θα ὅτι κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με ἕως Βαιθηλ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε ζη̨̃ κύριος καὶ ζη̨̃ ἡ ψυχή σου εἰ καταλείψω σε καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς Βαιθηλ (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Elias ad Eliseum : Sede hic, quia Dominus misit me usque in Bethel. Cui ait Eliseus : Vivit Dominus, et vivit anima tua, quia non derelinquam te. Cumque descendissent Bethel, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃2 ויאמר אליהו אל אלישע שב נא פה כי יהוה שלחני עד בית אל ויאמר אלישע חי יהוה וחי נפשך אם אעזבך וירדו בית אל ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 3

And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

- Les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Béthel sortirent vers Élisée, et lui dirent: Sais-tu que l'Éternel enlève aujourd'hui ton maître au-dessus de ta tête? Et il répondit: Je le sais aussi; taisez-vous. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃λθον οἱ υἱοὶ τω̃ν προφητω̃ν οἱ ἐν Βαιθηλ πρὸς Ελισαιε καὶ εἰ̃πον πρὸς αὐτόν εἰ ἔγνως ὅτι κύριος σήμερον λαμβάνει τὸν κύριόν σου ἐπάνωθεν τη̃ς κεφαλη̃ς σου καὶ εἰ̃πεν κἀγὼ ἔγνωκα σιωπα̃τε (Ⅲ)

- egressi sunt filii prophetarum qui erant in Bethel, ad Eliseum, et dixerunt ei : Numquid nosti quia hodie Dominus tollet dominum tuum a te ? Qui respondit : Et ego novi : silete. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃2 ויצאו בני הנביאים אשר בית אל אל אלישע ויאמרו אליו הידעת כי היום יהוה לקח את אדניך מעל ראשך ויאמר גם אני ידעתי החשו ‬ (Ⅴ)

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

- Élie lui dit: Élisée, reste ici, je te prie, car l'Éternel m'envoie à Jéricho. Il répondit: L'Éternel est vivant et ton âme est vivante! je ne te quitterai point. Et ils arrivèrent à Jéricho. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ηλιου πρὸς Ελισαιε κάθου δὴ ἐνταυ̃θα ὅτι κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με εἰς Ιεριχω καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε ζη̨̃ κύριος καὶ ζη̨̃ ἡ ψυχή σου εἰ ἐγκαταλείψω σε καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς Ιεριχω (Ⅲ)

- Dixit autem Elias ad Eliseum : Sede hic, quia Dominus misit me in Jericho. Et ille ait : Vivit Dominus, et vivit anima tua, quia non derelinquam te. Cumque venissent Jericho, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃2 ויאמר לו אליהו אלישע שב נא פה כי יהוה שלחני יריחו ויאמר חי יהוה וחי נפשך אם אעזבך ויבאו יריחו ‬ (Ⅴ)

And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

- Les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Jéricho s'approchèrent d'Élisée, et lui dirent: Sais-tu que l'Éternel enlève aujourd'hui ton maître au-dessus de ta tête? Et il répondit: Je le sais aussi; taisez-vous. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤγγισαν οἱ υἱοὶ τω̃ν προφητω̃ν οἱ ἐν Ιεριχω πρὸς Ελισαιε καὶ εἰ̃παν πρὸς αὐτόν εἰ ἔγνως ὅτι σήμερον λαμβάνει κύριος τὸν κύριόν σου ἐπάνωθεν τη̃ς κεφαλη̃ς σου καὶ εἰ̃πεν καί γε ἐγὼ ἔγνων σιωπα̃τε (Ⅲ)

- accesserunt filii prophetarum qui erant in Jericho, ad Eliseum, et dixerunt ei : Numquid nosti quia Dominus hodie tollet dominum tuum a te ? Et ait : Et ego novi : silete. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃2 ויגשו בני הנביאים אשר ביריחו אל אלישע ויאמרו אליו הידעת כי היום יהוה לקח את אדניך מעל ראשך ויאמר גם אני ידעתי החשו ‬ (Ⅴ)

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.

- Élie lui dit: Reste ici, je te prie, car l'Éternel m'envoie au Jourdain. Il répondit: L'Éternel est vivant et ton âme est vivante! je ne te quitterai point. Et ils poursuivirent tous deux leur chemin. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Ηλιου κάθου δὴ ὡ̃δε ὅτι κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με ἕως του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε ζη̨̃ κύριος καὶ ζη̨̃ ἡ ψυχή σου εἰ ἐγκαταλείψω σε καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἀμφότεροι (Ⅲ)

- Dixit autem ei Elias : Sede hic, quia Dominus misit me usque ad Jordanem. Qui ait : Vivit Dominus, et vivit anima tua, quia non derelinquam te. Ierunt igitur ambo pariter, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃2 ויאמר לו אליהו שב נא פה כי יהוה שלחני הירדנה ויאמר חי יהוה וחי נפשך אם אעזבך וילכו שניהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 7

And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.

- Cinquante hommes d'entre les fils des prophètes arrivèrent et s'arrêtèrent à distance vis-à-vis, et eux deux s'arrêtèrent au bord du Jourdain. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πεντήκοντα ἄνδρες υἱοὶ τω̃ν προφητω̃ν καὶ ἔστησαν ἐξ ἐναντίας μακρόθεν καὶ ἀμφότεροι ἔστησαν ἐπὶ του̃ Ιορδάνου (Ⅲ)

- et quinquaginta viri de filiis prophetarum secuti sunt eos, qui et steterunt e contra, longe : illi autem ambo stabant super Jordanem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃2 וחמשים איש מבני הנביאים הלכו ויעמדו מנגד מרחוק ושניהם עמדו על הירדן ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 8

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

- Alors Élie prit son manteau, le roula, et en frappa les eaux, qui se partagèrent çà et là, et ils passèrent tous deux à sec. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν Ηλιου τὴν μηλωτὴν αὐτου̃ καὶ εἵλησεν καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ διη̨ρέθη τὸ ὕδωρ ἔνθα καὶ ἔνθα καὶ διέβησαν ἀμφότεροι ἐν ἐρήμω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Tulitque Elias pallium suum, et involvit illud, et percussit aquas : quæ divisæ sunt in utramque partem, et transierunt ambo per siccum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃2 ויקח אליהו את אדרתו ויגלם ויכה את המים ויחצו הנה והנה ויעברו שניהם בחרבה ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 9

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

- Lorsqu'ils eurent passé, Élie dit à Élisée: Demande ce que tu veux que je fasse pour toi, avant que je sois enlevé d'avec toi. Élisée répondit: Qu'il y ait sur moi, je te prie, une double portion de ton esprit! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ διαβη̃ναι αὐτοὺς καὶ Ηλιου εἰ̃πεν πρὸς Ελισαιε αἴτησαι τί ποιήσω σοι πρὶν ἢ ἀναλημφθη̃ναί με ἀπὸ σου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε γενηθήτω δὴ διπλα̃ ἐν πνεύματί σου ἐπ' ἐμέ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque transissent, Elias dixit ad Eliseum : Postula quod vis ut faciam tibi, antequam tollar a te. Dixitque Eliseus : Obsecro ut fiat in me duplex spiritus tuus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃2 ויהי כעברם ואליהו אמר אל אלישע שאל מה אעשה לך בטרם אלקח מעמך ויאמר אלישע ויהי נא פי שנים ברוחך אלי ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 10

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

- Élie dit: Tu demandes une chose difficile. Mais si tu me vois pendant que je serai enlevé d'avec toi, cela t'arrivera ainsi; sinon, cela n'arrivera pas. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ηλιου ἐσκλήρυνας του̃ αἰτήσασθαι ἐὰν ἴδη̨ς με ἀναλαμβανόμενον ἀπὸ σου̃ καὶ ἔσται σοι οὕτως καὶ ἐὰν μή οὐ μὴ γένηται (Ⅲ)

- Qui respondit : Rem difficilem postulasti : attamen si videris me quando tollar a te, erit tibi quod petisti : si autem non videris, non erit.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃2 ויאמר הקשית לשאול אם תראה אתי לקח מאתך יהי לך כן ואם אין לא יהיה ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 11

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

- Comme ils continuaient à marcher en parlant, voici, un char de feu et des chevaux de feu les séparèrent l'un de l'autre, et Élie monta au ciel dans un tourbillon. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτω̃ν πορευομένων ἐπορεύοντο καὶ ἐλάλουν καὶ ἰδοὺ ἅρμα πυρὸς καὶ ἵπποι πυρὸς καὶ διέστειλαν ἀνὰ μέσον ἀμφοτέρων καὶ ἀνελήμφθη Ηλιου ἐν συσσεισμω̨̃ ὡς εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque pergerent, et incedentes sermocinarentur, ecce currus igneus, et equi ignei diviserunt utrumque : et ascendit Elias per turbinem in cælum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃2 ויהי המה הלכים הלוך ודבר והנה רכב אש וסוסי אש ויפרדו בין שניהם ויעל אליהו בסערה השמים ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 12

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

- Élisée regardait et criait: Mon père! mon père! Char d'Israël et sa cavalerie! Et il ne le vit plus. Saisissant alors ses vêtements, il les déchira en deux morceaux, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Ελισαιε ἑώρα καὶ ἐβόα πάτερ πάτερ ἅρμα Ισραηλ καὶ ἱππεὺς αὐτου̃ καὶ οὐκ εἰ̃δεν αὐτὸν ἔτι καὶ ἐπελάβετο τω̃ν ἱματίων αὐτου̃ καὶ διέρρηξεν αὐτὰ εἰς δύο ῥήγματα (Ⅲ)

- Eliseus autem videbat, et clamabat : Pater mi, pater mi, currus Israël, et auriga ejus. Et non vidit eum amplius : apprehenditque vestimenta sua, et scidit illa in duas partes. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃2 ואלישע ראה והוא מצעק אבי אבי רכב ישראל ופרשיו ולא ראהו עוד ויחזק בבגדיו ויקרעם לשנים קרעים ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 13

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

- et il releva le manteau qu'Élie avait laissé tomber. Puis il retourna, et s'arrêta au bord du Jourdain; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὕψωσεν τὴν μηλωτὴν Ηλιου ἣ ἔπεσεν ἐπάνωθεν Ελισαιε καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν Ελισαιε καὶ ἔστη ἐπὶ του̃ χείλους του̃ Ιορδάνου (Ⅲ)

- Et levavit pallium Eliæ, quod ceciderat ei : reversusque stetit super ripam Jordanis, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃2 וירם את אדרת אליהו אשר נפלה מעליו וישב ויעמד על שפת הירדן ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 14

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

- il prit le manteau qu'Élie avait laissé tomber, et il en frappa les eaux, et dit: Où est l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Élie? Lui aussi, il frappa les eaux, qui se partagèrent çà et là, et Élisée passa. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν μηλωτὴν Ηλιου ἣ ἔπεσεν ἐπάνωθεν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ οὐ διέστη καὶ εἰ̃πεν που̃ ὁ θεὸς Ηλιου αφφω καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὰ ὕδατα καὶ διερράγησαν ἔνθα καὶ ἔνθα καὶ διέβη Ελισαιε (Ⅲ)

- et pallio Eliæ, quod ceciderat ei, percussit aquas, et non sunt divisæ : et dixit : Ubi est Deus Eliæ etiam nunc ? Percussitque aquas, et divisæ sunt huc atque illuc, et transiit Eliseus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃2 ויקח את אדרת אליהו אשר נפלה מעליו ויכה את המים ויאמר איה יהוה אלהי אליהו אף הוא ויכה את המים ויחצו הנה והנה ויעבר אלישע ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 15

And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

- Les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Jéricho, vis-à-vis, l'ayant vu, dirent: L'esprit d'Élie repose sur Élisée! Et ils allèrent à sa rencontre, et se prosternèrent contre terre devant lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃δον αὐτὸν οἱ υἱοὶ τω̃ν προφητω̃ν οἱ ἐν Ιεριχω ἐξ ἐναντίας καὶ εἰ̃πον ἐπαναπέπαυται τὸ πνευ̃μα Ηλιου ἐπὶ Ελισαιε καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς συναντὴν αὐτου̃ καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτω̨̃ ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Videntes autem filii prophetarum qui erant in Jericho e contra, dixerunt : Requievit spiritus Eliæ super Eliseum. Et venientes in occursum ejus, adoraverunt eum proni in terram, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃2 ויראהו בני הנביאים אשר ביריחו מנגד ויאמרו נחה רוח אליהו על אלישע ויבאו לקראתו וישתחוו לו ארצה ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 16

And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.

- Ils lui dirent: Voici, il y a parmi tes serviteurs cinquante hommes vaillants; veux-tu qu'ils aillent chercher ton maître? Peut-être que l'esprit de l'Éternel l'a emporté et l'a jeté sur quelque montagne ou dans quelque vallée. Il répondit: Ne les envoyez pas. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πον πρὸς αὐτόν ἰδοὺ δὴ μετὰ τω̃ν παίδων σου πεντήκοντα ἄνδρες υἱοὶ δυνάμεως πορευθέντες δὴ ζητησάτωσαν τὸν κύριόν σου μήποτε ἠ̃ρεν αὐτὸν πνευ̃μα κυρίου καὶ ἔρριψεν αὐτὸν ἐν τω̨̃ Ιορδάνη̨ ἢ ἐφ' ἓν τω̃ν ὀρέων ἢ ἐφ' ἕνα τω̃ν βουνω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε οὐκ ἀποστελει̃τε (Ⅲ)

- dixeruntque illi : Ecce cum servis tuis sunt quinquaginta viri fortes qui possunt ire, et quærere dominum tuum, ne forte tulerit eum spiritus Domini, et projecerit eum in unum montium, aut in unam vallium. Qui ait : Nolite mittere. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃2 ויאמרו אליו הנה נא יש את עבדיך חמשים אנשים בני חיל ילכו נא ויבקשו את אדניך פן נשאו רוח יהוה וישלכהו באחד ההרים או באחת *הגיאות **הגאיות ויאמר לא תשלחו ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 17

And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

- Mais ils le pressèrent longtemps; et il dit: Envoyez-les. Ils envoyèrent les cinquante hommes, qui cherchèrent Élie pendant trois jours et ne le trouvèrent point. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ παρεβιάσαντο αὐτὸν ἕως ὅτου ἠ̨σχύνετο καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἀποστείλατε καὶ ἀπέστειλαν πεντήκοντα ἄνδρας καὶ ἐζήτησαν τρει̃ς ἡμέρας καὶ οὐχ εὑ̃ρον αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Coëgeruntque eum donec acquiesceret, et diceret : Mittite. Et miserunt quinquaginta viros : qui cum quæsissent tribus diebus, non invenerunt. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃2 ויפצרו בו עד בש ויאמר שלחו וישלחו חמשים איש ויבקשו שלשה ימים ולא מצאהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 18

And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?

- Lorsqu'ils furent de retour auprès d'Élisée, qui était à Jéricho, il leur dit: Ne vous avais-je pas dit: N'allez pas? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέστρεψαν πρὸς αὐτόν καὶ αὐτὸς ἐκάθητο ἐν Ιεριχω καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε οὐκ εἰ̃πον πρὸς ὑμα̃ς μὴ πορευθη̃τε (Ⅲ)

- Et reversi sunt ad eum : at ille habitabat in Jericho, et dixit eis : Numquid non dixi vobis : Nolite mittere ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃2 וישבו אליו והוא ישב ביריחו ויאמר אלהם הלוא אמרתי אליכם אל תלכו ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 19

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

- Les gens de la ville dirent à Élisée: Voici, le séjour de la ville est bon, comme le voit mon seigneur; mais les eaux sont mauvaises, et le pays est stérile. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πον οἱ ἄνδρες τη̃ς πόλεως πρὸς Ελισαιε ἰδοὺ ἡ κατοίκησις τη̃ς πόλεως ἀγαθή καθὼς ὁ κύριος βλέπει καὶ τὰ ὕδατα πονηρὰ καὶ ἡ γη̃ ἀτεκνουμένη (Ⅲ)

- Dixerunt quoque viri civitatis ad Eliseum : Ecce habitatio civitatis hujus optima est, sicut tu ipse, domine, perspicis : sed aquæ pessimæ sunt, et terra sterilis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃2 ויאמרו אנשי העיר אל אלישע הנה נא מושב העיר טוב כאשר אדני ראה והמים רעים והארץ משכלת ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 20

And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

- Il dit: Apportez-moi un plat neuf, et mettez-y du sel. Et ils le lui apportèrent. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε λάβετέ μοι ὑδρίσκην καινὴν καὶ θέτε ἐκει̃ ἅλα καὶ ἔλαβον πρὸς αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- At ille ait : Afferte mihi vas novum, et mittite in illud sal. Quod cum attulissent, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃2 ויאמר קחו לי צלחית חדשה ושימו שם מלח ויקחו אליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 21

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

- Il alla vers la source des eaux, et il y jeta du sel, et dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: J'assainis ces eaux; il n'en proviendra plus ni mort, ni stérilité. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ελισαιε εἰς τὴν διέξοδον τω̃ν ὑδάτων καὶ ἔρριψεν ἐκει̃ ἅλα καὶ εἰ̃πεν τάδε λέγει κύριος ἴαμαι τὰ ὕδατα ταυ̃τα οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι ἐκει̃θεν θάνατος καὶ ἀτεκνουμένη (Ⅲ)

- egressus ad fontem aquarum misit in illum sal, et ait : Hæc dicit Dominus : Sanavi aquas has, et non erit ultra in eis mors, neque sterilitas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃2 ויצא אל מוצא המים וישלך שם מלח ויאמר כה אמר יהוה רפאתי למים האלה לא יהיה משם עוד מות ומשכלת ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 22

So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

- Et les eaux furent assainies, jusqu'à ce jour, selon la parole qu'Élisée avait prononcée. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἰάθησαν τὰ ὕδατα ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα Ελισαιε ὃ ἐλάλησεν (Ⅲ)

- Sanatæ sunt ergo aquæ usque in diem hanc, juxta verbum Elisei quod locutus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃2 וירפו המים עד היום הזה כדבר אלישע אשר דבר פ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 23

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

- Il monta de là à Béthel; et comme il cheminait à la montée, des petits garçons sortirent de la ville, et se moquèrent de lui. Ils lui disaient: Monte, chauve! monte, chauve! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβη ἐκει̃θεν εἰς Βαιθηλ καὶ ἀναβαίνοντος αὐτου̃ ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ καὶ παιδάρια μικρὰ ἐξη̃λθον ἐκ τη̃ς πόλεως καὶ κατέπαιζον αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πον αὐτω̨̃ ἀνάβαινε φαλακρέ ἀνάβαινε (Ⅲ)

- Ascendit autem inde in Bethel : cumque ascenderet per viam, pueri parvi egressi sunt de civitate, et illudebant ei, dicentes : Ascende calve, ascende calve. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃2 ויעל משם בית אל והוא עלה בדרך ונערים קטנים יצאו מן העיר ויתקלסו בו ויאמרו לו עלה קרח עלה קרח ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 24

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

- Il se retourna pour les regarder, et il les maudit au nom de l'Éternel. Alors deux ours sortirent de la forêt, et déchirèrent quarante-deux de ces enfants. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξένευσεν ὀπίσω αὐτω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃δεν αὐτὰ καὶ κατηράσατο αὐτοι̃ς ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐξη̃λθον δύο ἄρκοι ἐκ του̃ δρυμου̃ καὶ ἀνέρρηξαν ἐξ αὐτω̃ν τεσσαράκοντα καὶ δύο παι̃δας (Ⅲ)

- Qui cum respexisset, vidit eos, et maledixit eis in nomine Domini : egressique sunt duo ursi de saltu, et laceraverunt ex eis quadraginta duos pueros. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃2 ויפן אחריו ויראם ויקללם בשם יהוה ותצאנה שתים דבים מן היער ותבקענה מהם ארבעים ושני ילדים ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 25

And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

- De là il alla sur la montagne du Carmel, d'où il retourna à Samarie. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐκει̃θεν εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ Καρμήλιον καὶ ἐκει̃θεν ἐπέστρεψεν εἰς Σαμάρειαν (Ⅲ)

- Abiit autem inde in montem Carmeli, et inde reversus est in Samariam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃2 וילך משם אל הר הכרמל ומשם שב שמרון פ‬ (Ⅴ)
