Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valor, but he was a leper.
- Naaman, chef de l'armée du roi de Syrie, jouissait de la faveur de son maître et d'une grande considération; car c'était par lui que l'Éternel avait délivré les Syriens. Mais cet homme fort et vaillant était lépreux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ Ναιμαν ὁ ἄρχων τη̃ς δυνάμεως Συρίας ἠ̃ν ἀνὴρ μέγας ἐνώπιον του̃ κυρίου αὐτου̃ καὶ τεθαυμασμένος προσώπω̨ ὅτι ἐν αὐτω̨̃ ἔδωκεν κύριος σωτηρίαν Συρία̨ καὶ ὁ ἀνὴρ ἠ̃ν δυνατὸς ἰσχύι λελεπρωμένος (Ⅲ) - Naaman princeps militiæ regis Syriæ erat vir magnus apud dominum suum, et honoratus : per illum enim dedit Dominus salutem Syriæ : erat autem vir fortis et dives, sed leprosus. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃5 ונעמן שר צבא מלך ארם היה איש גדול לפני אדניו ונשא פנים כי בו נתן יהוה תשועה לארם והאיש היה גבור חיל מצרע (Ⅴ)

And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
- Or les Syriens étaient sortis par troupes, et ils avaient emmené captive une petite fille du pays d'Israël, qui était au service de la femme de Naaman. (Ⅱ) - καὶ Συρία ἐξη̃λθον μονόζωνοι καὶ ἠ̨χμαλώτευσαν ἐκ γη̃ς Ισραηλ νεάνιδα μικράν καὶ ἠ̃ν ἐνώπιον τη̃ς γυναικὸς Ναιμαν (Ⅲ) - Porro de Syria egressi fuerant latrunculi, et captivam duxerant de terra Israël puellam parvulam, quæ erat in obsequio uxoris Naaman : (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃5 וארם יצאו גדודים וישבו מארץ ישראל נערה קטנה ותהי לפני אשת נעמן (Ⅴ)

And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
- Et elle dit à sa maîtresse: Oh! si mon seigneur était auprès du prophète qui est à Samarie, le prophète le guérirait de sa lèpre! (Ⅱ) - ἡ δὲ εἰ̃πεν τη̨̃ κυρία̨ αὐτη̃ς ὄφελον ὁ κύριός μου ἐνώπιον του̃ προφήτου του̃ θεου̃ του̃ ἐν Σαμαρεία̨ τότε ἀποσυνάξει αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τη̃ς λέπρας αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - quæ ait ad dominam suam : Utinam fuisset dominus meus ad prophetam qui est in Samaria, profecto curasset eum a lepra quam habet. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃5 ותאמר אל גברתה אחלי אדני לפני הנביא אשר בשמרון אז יאסף אתו מצרעתו (Ⅴ)

And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
- Naaman alla dire à son maître: La jeune fille du pays d'Israël a parlé de telle et telle manière. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰση̃λθεν καὶ ἀπήγγειλεν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἑαυτη̃ς καὶ εἰ̃πεν οὕτως καὶ οὕτως ἐλάλησεν ἡ νεα̃νις ἡ ἐκ γη̃ς Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Ingressus est itaque Naaman ad dominum suum, et nuntiavit ei, dicens : Sic et sic locuta est puella de terra Israël. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃5 ויבא ויגד לאדניו לאמר כזאת וכזאת דברה הנערה אשר מארץ ישראל (Ⅴ)

And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
- Et le roi de Syrie dit: Va, rends-toi à Samarie, et j'enverrai une lettre au roi d'Israël. Il partit, prenant avec lui dix talents d'argent, six mille sicles d'or, et dix vêtements de rechange. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν βασιλεὺς Συρίας πρὸς Ναιμαν δευ̃ρο εἴσελθε καὶ ἐξαποστελω̃ βιβλίον πρὸς βασιλέα Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ ἔλαβεν ἐν τη̨̃ χειρὶ αὐτου̃ δέκα τάλαντα ἀργυρίου καὶ ἑξακισχιλίους χρυσου̃ς καὶ δέκα ἀλλασσομένας στολάς (Ⅲ) - Dixitque ei rex Syriæ : Vade, et mittam litteras ad regem Israël. Qui cum profectus esset, et tulisset secum decem talenta argenti, et sex millia aureos, et decem mutatoria vestimentorum, (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃5 ויאמר מלך ארם לך בא ואשלחה ספר אל מלך ישראל וילך ויקח בידו עשר ככרי כסף וששת אלפים זהב ועשר חליפות בגדים (Ⅴ)

And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
- Il porta au roi d'Israël la lettre, où il était dit: Maintenant, quand cette lettre te sera parvenue, tu sauras que je t'envoie Naaman, mon serviteur, afin que tu le guérisses de sa lèpre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἤνεγκεν τὸ βιβλίον πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Ισραηλ λέγων καὶ νυ̃ν ὡς ἂν ἔλθη̨ τὸ βιβλίον του̃το πρὸς σέ ἰδοὺ ἀπέστειλα πρὸς σὲ Ναιμαν τὸν δου̃λόν μου καὶ ἀποσυνάξεις αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τη̃ς λέπρας αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - detulit litteras ad regem Israël in hæc verba : Cum acceperis epistolam hanc, scito quod miserim ad te Naaman servum meum, ut cures eum a lepra sua. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃5 ויבא הספר אל מלך ישראל לאמר ועתה כבוא הספר הזה אליך הנה שלחתי אליך את נעמן עבדי ואספתו מצרעתו (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
- Après avoir lu la lettre, le roi d'Israël déchira ses vêtements, et dit: Suis-je un dieu, pour faire mourir et pour faire vivre, qu'il s'adresse à moi afin que je guérisse un homme de sa lèpre? Sachez donc et comprenez qu'il cherche une occasion de dispute avec moi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἀνέγνω βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ τὸ βιβλίον διέρρηξεν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν μὴ θεὸς ἐγὼ του̃ θανατω̃σαι καὶ ζωοποιη̃σαι ὅτι οὑ̃τος ἀποστέλλει πρός με ἀποσυνάξαι ἄνδρα ἀπὸ τη̃ς λέπρας αὐτου̃ ὅτι πλὴν γνω̃τε δὴ καὶ ἴδετε ὅτι προφασίζεται οὑ̃τός με (Ⅲ) - Cumque legisset rex Israël litteras, scidit vestimenta sua, et ait : Numquid deus ego sum, ut occidere possim et vivificare, quia iste misit ad me ut curem hominem a lepra sua ? animadvertite, et videte quod occasiones quærat adversum me. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃5 ויהי כקרא מלך ישראל את הספר ויקרע בגדיו ויאמר האלהים אני להמית ולהחיות כי זה שלח אלי לאסף איש מצרעתו כי אך דעו נא וראו כי מתאנה הוא לי (Ⅴ)

And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
- Lorsqu'Élisée, homme de Dieu, apprit que le roi d'Israël avait déchiré ses vêtements, il envoya dire au roi: Pourquoi as-tu déchiré tes vêtements? Laisse-le venir à moi, et il saura qu'il y a un prophète en Israël. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν Ελισαιε ὅτι διέρρηξεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ τὰ ἱμάτια ἑαυτου̃ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Ισραηλ λέγων ἵνα τί διέρρηξας τὰ ἱμάτιά σου ἐλθέτω δὴ πρός με Ναιμαν καὶ γνώτω ὅτι ἔστιν προφήτης ἐν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Quod cum audisset Eliseus vir Dei, scidisse videlicet regem Israël vestimenta sua, misit ad eum, dicens : Quare scidisti vestimenta tua ? veniat ad me, et sciat esse prophetam in Israël. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃5 ויהי כשמע אלישע איש האלהים כי קרע מלך ישראל את בגדיו וישלח אל המלך לאמר למה קרעת בגדיך יבא נא אלי וידע כי יש נביא בישראל (Ⅴ)

So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
- Naaman vint avec ses chevaux et son char, et il s'arrêta à la porte de la maison d'Élisée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Ναιμαν ἐν ἵππω̨ καὶ ἅρματι καὶ ἔστη ἐπὶ θύρας οἴκου Ελισαιε (Ⅲ) - Venit ergo Naaman cum equis et curribus, et stetit ad ostium domus Elisei : (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃5 ויבא נעמן *בסוסו **בסוסיו וברכבו ויעמד פתח הבית לאלישע (Ⅴ)

And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
- Élisée lui fit dire par un messager: Va, et lave-toi sept fois dans le Jourdain; ta chair deviendra saine, et tu seras pur. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ελισαιε ἄγγελον πρὸς αὐτὸν λέγων πορευθεὶς λου̃σαι ἑπτάκις ἐν τω̨̃ Ιορδάνη̨ καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἡ σάρξ σού σοι καὶ καθαρισθήση̨ (Ⅲ) - misitque ad eum Eliseus nuntium, dicens : Vade, et lavare septies in Jordane, et recipiet sanitatem caro tua, atque mundaberis. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃5 וישלח אליו אלישע מלאך לאמר הלוך ורחצת שבע פעמים בירדן וישב בשרך לך וטהר (Ⅴ)

But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
- Naaman fut irrité, et il s'en alla, en disant: Voici, je me disais: Il sortira vers moi, il se présentera lui-même, il invoquera le nom de l'Éternel, son Dieu, il agitera sa main sur la place et guérira le lépreux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐθυμώθη Ναιμαν καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ δὴ ἔλεγον ὅτι ἐξελεύσεται πρός με καὶ στήσεται καὶ ἐπικαλέσεται ἐν ὀνόματι θεου̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπιθήσει τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον καὶ ἀποσυνάξει τὸ λεπρόν (Ⅲ) - Iratus Naaman recedebat, dicens : Putabam quod egrederetur ad me, et stans invocaret nomen Domini Dei sui, et tangeret manu sua locum lepræ, et curaret me. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃5 ויקצף נעמן וילך ויאמר הנה אמרתי אלי יצא יצוא ועמד וקרא בשם יהוה אלהיו והניף ידו אל המקום ואסף המצרע (Ⅴ)

Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
- Les fleuves de Damas, l'Abana et le Parpar, ne valent-ils pas mieux que toutes les eaux d'Israël? Ne pourrais-je pas m'y laver et devenir pur? Et il s'en retournait et partait avec fureur. (Ⅱ) - οὐχὶ ἀγαθὸς Αβανα καὶ Φαρφαρ ποταμοὶ Δαμασκου̃ ὑπὲρ Ιορδάνην καὶ πάντα τὰ ὕδατα Ισραηλ οὐχὶ πορευθεὶς λούσομαι ἐν αὐτοι̃ς καὶ καθαρισθήσομαι καὶ ἐξέκλινεν καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν ἐν θυμω̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Numquid non meliores sunt Abana et Pharphar fluvii Damasci, omnibus aquis Israël, ut laver in eis, et munder ? Cum ergo vertisset se, et abiret indignans, (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃5 הלא טוב *אבנה **אמנה ופרפר נהרות דמשק מכל מימי ישראל הלא ארחץ בהם וטהרתי ויפן וילך בחמה (Ⅴ)

And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
- Mais ses serviteurs s'approchèrent pour lui parler, et ils dirent: Mon père, si le prophète t'eût demandé quelque chose de difficile, ne l'aurais-tu pas fait? Combien plus dois-tu faire ce qu'il t'a dit: Lave-toi, et tu seras pur! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἤγγισαν οἱ παι̃δες αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐλάλησαν πρὸς αὐτόν μέγαν λόγον ἐλάλησεν ὁ προφήτης πρὸς σέ οὐχὶ ποιήσεις καὶ ὅτι εἰ̃πεν πρὸς σέ λου̃σαι καὶ καθαρίσθητι (Ⅲ) - accesserunt ad eum servi sui, et locuti sunt ei : Pater, etsi rem grandem dixisset tibi propheta, certe facere debueras : quanto magis quia nunc dixit tibi : Lavare, et mundaberis ? (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃5 ויגשו עבדיו וידברו אליו ויאמרו אבי דבר גדול הנביא דבר אליך הלוא תעשה ואף כי אמר אליך רחץ וטהר (Ⅴ)

Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
- Il descendit alors et se plongea sept fois dans le Jourdain, selon la parole de l'homme de Dieu; et sa chair redevint comme la chair d'un jeune enfant, et il fut pur. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατέβη Ναιμαν καὶ ἐβαπτίσατο ἐν τω̨̃ Ιορδάνη̨ ἑπτάκι κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα Ελισαιε καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἡ σὰρξ αὐτου̃ ὡς σὰρξ παιδαρίου μικρου̃ καὶ ἐκαθαρίσθη (Ⅲ) - Descendit, et lavit in Jordane septies juxta sermonem viri Dei : et restituta est caro ejus sicut caro pueri parvuli, et mundatus est. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃5 וירד ויטבל בירדן שבע פעמים כדבר איש האלהים וישב בשרו כבשר נער קטן ויטהר (Ⅴ)

And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
- Naaman retourna vers l'homme de Dieu, avec toute sa suite. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il se présenta devant lui, et dit: Voici, je reconnais qu'il n'y a point de Dieu sur toute la terre, si ce n'est en Israël. Et maintenant, accepte, je te prie, un présent de la part de ton serviteur. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν πρὸς Ελισαιε αὐτὸς καὶ πα̃σα ἡ παρεμβολὴ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἠ̃λθεν καὶ ἔστη καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ δὴ ἔγνωκα ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν θεὸς ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ὅτι ἀλλ' ἢ ἐν τω̨̃ Ισραηλ καὶ νυ̃ν λαβὲ τὴν εὐλογίαν παρὰ του̃ δούλου σου (Ⅲ) - Reversusque ad virum Dei cum universo comitatu suo, venit, et stetit coram eo, et ait : Vere scio quod non sit alius deus in universa terra, nisi tantum in Israël. Obsecro itaque ut accipias benedictionem a servo tuo. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃5 וישב אל איש האלהים הוא וכל מחנהו ויבא ויעמד לפניו ויאמר הנה נא ידעתי כי אין אלהים בכל הארץ כי אם בישראל ועתה קח נא ברכה מאת עבדך (Ⅴ)

But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
- Élisée répondit: L'Éternel, dont je suis le serviteur, est vivant! je n'accepterai pas. Naaman le pressa d'accepter, mais il refusa. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε ζη̨̃ κύριος ὡ̨̃ παρέστην ἐνώπιον αὐτου̃ εἰ λήμψομαι καὶ παρεβιάσατο αὐτὸν λαβει̃ν καὶ ἠπείθησεν (Ⅲ) - At ille respondit : Vivit Dominus, ante quem sto, quia non accipiam. Cumque vim faceret, penitus non acquievit. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃5 ויאמר חי יהוה אשר עמדתי לפניו אם אקח ויפצר בו לקחת וימאן (Ⅴ)

And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.
- Alors Naaman dit: Puisque tu refuses, permets que l'on donne de la terre à ton serviteur, une charge de deux mulets; car ton serviteur ne veut plus offrir à d'autres dieux ni holocauste ni sacrifice, il n'en offrira qu'à l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ναιμαν καὶ εἰ μή δοθήτω δὴ τω̨̃ δούλω̨ σου γόμος ζεύγους ἡμιόνων καὶ σύ μοι δώσεις ἐκ τη̃ς γη̃ς τη̃ς πυρρα̃ς ὅτι οὐ ποιήσει ἔτι ὁ δου̃λός σου ὁλοκαύτωμα καὶ θυσίασμα θεοι̃ς ἑτέροις ἀλλ' ἢ τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ μόνω̨ (Ⅲ) - Dixitque Naaman : Ut vis : sed, obsecro, concede mihi servo tuo ut tollam onus duorum burdonum de terra : non enim faciet ultra servus tuus holocaustum aut victimam diis alienis, nisi Domino. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃5 ויאמר נעמן ולא יתן נא לעבדך משא צמד פרדים אדמה כי לוא יעשה עוד עבדך עלה וזבח לאלהים אחרים כי אם ליהוה (Ⅴ)

In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing.
- Voici toutefois ce que je prie l'Éternel de pardonner à ton serviteur. Quand mon maître entre dans la maison de Rimmon pour s'y prosterner et qu'il s'appuie sur ma main, je me prosterne aussi dans la maison de Rimmon: veuille l'Éternel pardonner à ton serviteur, lorsque je me prosternerai dans la maison de Rimmon! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἱλάσεται κύριος τω̨̃ δούλω̨ σου ἐν τω̨̃ εἰσπορεύεσθαι τὸν κύριόν μου εἰς οἰ̃κον Ρεμμαν προσκυνη̃σαι αὐτὸν καὶ ἐπαναπαύσεται ἐπὶ τη̃ς χειρός μου καὶ προσκυνήσω ἐν οἴκω̨ Ρεμμαν ἐν τω̨̃ προσκυνει̃ν αὐτὸν ἐν οἴκω̨ Ρεμμαν καὶ ἱλάσεται δὴ κύριος τω̨̃ δούλω̨ σου ἐν τω̨̃ λόγω̨ τούτω̨ (Ⅲ) - Hoc autem solum est, de quo depreceris Dominum pro servo tuo, quando ingredietur dominus meus templum Remmon ut adoret : et illo innitente super manum meam, si adoravero in templo Remmon, adorante eo in eodem loco, ut ignoscat mihi Dominus servo tuo pro hac re. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃5 לדבר הזה יסלח יהוה לעבדך בבוא אדני בית רמון להשתחות שמה והוא נשען על ידי והשתחויתי בית רמן בהשתחויתי בית רמן יסלח *נא יהוה לעבדך בדבר הזה (Ⅴ)

And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
- Élisée lui dit: Va en paix. Lorsque Naaman eut quitté Élisée et qu'il fut à une certaine distance, (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε πρὸς Ναιμαν δευ̃ρο εἰς εἰρήνην καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν ἀπ' αὐτου̃ εἰς δεβραθα τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Qui dixit ei : Vade in pace. Abiit ergo ab eo electo terræ tempore.\ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃5 ויאמר לו לך לשלום וילך מאתו כברת ארץ ס (Ⅴ)

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
- Guéhazi, serviteur d'Élisée, homme de Dieu, se dit en lui-même: Voici, mon maître a ménagé Naaman, ce Syrien, en n'acceptant pas de sa main ce qu'il avait apporté; l'Éternel est vivant! je vais courir après lui, et j'en obtiendrai quelque chose. So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
- Et Guéhazi courut après Naaman. Naaman, le voyant courir après lui, descendit de son char pour aller à sa rencontre, et dit: Tout va-t-il bien? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐδίωξε Γιεζι ὀπίσω του̃ Ναιμαν καὶ εἰ̃δεν αὐτὸν Ναιμαν τρέχοντα ὀπίσω αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ του̃ ἅρματος εἰς ἀπαντὴν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et secutus est Giezi post tergum Naaman : quem cum vidisset ille currentem ad se, desiliit de curru in occursum ejus, et ait : Rectene sunt omnia ? (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃5 וירדף גיחזי אחרי נעמן ויראה נעמן רץ אחריו ויפל מעל המרכבה לקראתו ויאמר השלום (Ⅴ)

And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
- Il répondit: Tout va bien. Mon maître m'envoie te dire: Voici, il vient d'arriver chez moi deux jeunes gens de la montagne d'Éphraïm, d'entre les fils des prophètes; donne pour eux, je te prie, un talent d'argent et deux vêtements de rechange. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν εἰρήνη ὁ κύριός μου ἀπέστειλέν με λέγων ἰδοὺ νυ̃ν ἠ̃λθον πρός με δύο παιδάρια ἐξ ὄρους Εφραιμ ἀπὸ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν τω̃ν προφητω̃ν δὸς δὴ αὐτοι̃ς τάλαντον ἀργυρίου καὶ δύο ἀλλασσομένας στολάς (Ⅲ) - Et ille ait : Recte. Dominus meus misit me ad te dicens : Modo venerunt ad me duo adolescentes de monte Ephraim, ex filiis prophetarum : da eis talentum argenti, et vestes mutatorias duplices. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃5 ויאמר שלום אדני שלחני לאמר הנה עתה זה באו אלי שני נערים מהר אפרים מבני הנביאים תנה נא להם ככר כסף ושתי חלפות בגדים (Ⅴ)

And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.
- Naaman dit: Consens à prendre deux talents. Il le pressa, et il serra deux talents d'argent dans deux sacs, donna deux habits de rechange, et les fit porter devant Guéhazi par deux de ses serviteurs. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ναιμαν λαβὲ διτάλαντον ἀργυρίου καὶ ἔλαβεν ἐν δυσὶ θυλάκοις καὶ δύο ἀλλασσομένας στολὰς καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐπὶ δύο παιδάρια αὐτου̃ καὶ ἠ̃ραν ἔμπροσθεν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Dixitque Naaman : Melius est ut accipias duo talenta. Et coëgit eum, ligavitque duo talenta argenti in duobus saccis, et duplicia vestimenta, et imposuit duobus pueris suis, qui et portaverunt coram eo. (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃5 ויאמר נעמן הואל קח ככרים ויפרץ בו ויצר ככרים כסף בשני חרטים ושתי חלפות בגדים ויתן אל שני נעריו וישאו לפניו (Ⅴ)

And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.
- Arrivé à la colline, Guéhazi les prit de leurs mains et les déposa dans la maison, et il renvoya ces gens qui partirent. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς τὸ σκοτεινόν καὶ ἔλαβεν ἐκ τω̃ν χειρω̃ν αὐτω̃ν καὶ παρέθετο ἐν οἴκω̨ καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν τοὺς ἄνδρας (Ⅲ) - Cumque venisset jam vesperi, tulit de manu eorum, et reposuit in domo, dimisitque viros, et abierunt. (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃5 ויבא אל העפל ויקח מידם ויפקד בבית וישלח את האנשים וילכו (Ⅴ)

But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.
- Puis il alla se présenter à son maître. Élisée lui dit: D'où viens-tu, Guéhazi? Il répondit: Ton serviteur n'est allé ni d'un côté ni d'un autre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ αὐτὸς εἰση̃λθεν καὶ παρειστήκει πρὸς τὸν κύριον αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ελισαιε πόθεν Γιεζι καὶ εἰ̃πεν Γιεζι οὐ πεπόρευται ὁ δου̃λός σου ἔνθα καὶ ἔνθα (Ⅲ) - Ipse autem ingressus, stetit coram domino suo. Et dixit Eliseus : Unde venis, Giezi ? Qui respondit : Non ivit servus tuus quoquam. (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃5 והוא בא ויעמד אל אדניו ויאמר אליו אלישע *מאן **מאין גחזי ויאמר לא הלך עבדך אנה ואנה (Ⅴ)

And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?
- Mais Élisée lui dit: Mon esprit n'était pas absent, lorsque cet homme a quitté son char pour venir à ta rencontre. Est-ce le temps de prendre de l'argent et de prendre des vêtements, puis des oliviers, des vignes, des brebis, des boeufs, des serviteurs et des servantes? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ελισαιε οὐχὶ ἡ καρδία μου ἐπορεύθη μετὰ σου̃ ὅτε ἐπέστρεψεν ὁ ἀνὴρ ἀπὸ του̃ ἅρματος εἰς συναντήν σοι καὶ νυ̃ν ἔλαβες τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ νυ̃ν ἔλαβες τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ λήμψη̨ ἐν αὐτω̨̃ κήπους καὶ ἐλαιω̃νας καὶ ἀμπελω̃νας καὶ πρόβατα καὶ βόας καὶ παι̃δας καὶ παιδίσκας (Ⅲ) - At ille ait : Nonne cor meum in præsenti erat, quando reversus est homo de curru suo in occursum tui ? nunc igitur accepisti argentum, et accepisti vestes ut emas oliveta, et vineas, et oves, et boves, et servos, et ancillas. (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃5 ויאמר אליו לא לבי הלך כאשר הפך איש מעל מרכבתו לקראתך העת לקחת את הכסף ולקחת בגדים וזיתים וכרמים וצאן ובקר ועבדים ושפחות (Ⅴ)

The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
- La lèpre de Naaman s'attachera à toi et à ta postérité pour toujours. Et Guéhazi sortit de la présence d'Élisée avec une lèpre comme la neige. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἡ λέπρα Ναιμαν κολληθήσεται ἐν σοὶ καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ σπέρματί σου εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν ἐκ προσώπου αὐτου̃ λελεπρωμένος ὡσεὶ χιών (Ⅲ) - Sed et lepra Naaman adhærebit tibi, et semini tuo usque in sempiternum. Et egressus est ab eo leprosus quasi nix. (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃5 וצרעת נעמן תדבק בך ובזרעך לעולם ויצא מלפניו מצרע כשלג ס (Ⅴ)
