Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
- Élisée dit: Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel! Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Demain, à cette heure, on aura une mesure de fleur de farine pour un sicle et deux mesures d'orge pour un sicle, à la porte de Samarie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε ἄκουσον λόγον κυρίου τάδε λέγει κύριος ὡς ἡ ὥρα αὕτη αὔριον μέτρον σεμιδάλεως σίκλου καὶ δίμετρον κριθω̃ν σίκλου ἐν ται̃ς πύλαις Σαμαρείας (Ⅲ) - Dixit autem Eliseus : Audite verbum Domini : Hæc dicit Dominus : In tempore hoc cras modius similæ uno statere erit, et duo modii hordei statere uno, in porta Samariæ. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃7 ויאמר אלישע שמעו דבר יהוה כה אמר יהוה כעת מחר סאה סלת בשקל וסאתים שערים בשקל בשער שמרון (Ⅴ)

Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
- L'officier sur la main duquel s'appuyait le roi répondit à l'homme de Dieu: Quand l'Éternel ferait des fenêtres au ciel, pareille chose arriverait-elle? Et Élisée dit: Tu le verras de tes yeux; mais tu n'en mangeras point. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ τριστάτης ἐφ' ὃν ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐπανεπαύετο ἐπὶ τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ τω̨̃ Ελισαιε καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ ποιήσει κύριος καταρράκτας ἐν οὐρανω̨̃ μὴ ἔσται τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το καὶ Ελισαιε εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ σὺ ὄψη̨ τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου καὶ ἐκει̃θεν οὐ φάγη̨ (Ⅲ) - Respondens unus de ducibus, super cujus manum rex incumbebat, homini Dei, ait : Si Dominus fecerit etiam cataractas in cælo, numquid poterit esse quod loqueris ? Qui ait : Videbis oculis tuis, et inde non comedes. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃7 ויען השליש אשר למלך נשען על ידו את איש האלהים ויאמר הנה יהוה עשה ארבות בשמים היהיה הדבר הזה ויאמר הנכה ראה בעיניך ומשם לא תאכל ס (Ⅴ)

And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
- Il y avait à l'entrée de la porte quatre lépreux, qui se dirent l'un à l'autre: Quoi! resterons-nous ici jusqu'à ce que nous mourions? (Ⅱ) - καὶ τέσσαρες ἄνδρες ἠ̃σαν λεπροὶ παρὰ τὴν θύραν τη̃ς πόλεως καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἀνὴρ πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτου̃ τί ἡμει̃ς καθήμεθα ὡ̃δε ἕως ἀποθάνωμεν (Ⅲ) - Quatuor ergo viri erant leprosi juxta introitum portæ : qui dixerunt ad invicem : Quid hic esse volumus donec moriamur ? (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃7 וארבעה אנשים היו מצרעים פתח השער ויאמרו איש אל רעהו מה אנחנו ישבים פה עד מתנו (Ⅴ)

If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
- Si nous songeons à entrer dans la ville, la famine est dans la ville, et nous y mourrons; et si nous restons ici, nous mourrons également. Allons nous jeter dans le camp des Syriens; s'ils nous laissent vivre, nous vivrons et s'ils nous font mourir, nous mourrons. (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν εἴπωμεν εἰσέλθωμεν εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ ὁ λιμὸς ἐν τη̨̃ πόλει καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα ἐκει̃ καὶ ἐὰν καθίσωμεν ὡ̃δε καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα καὶ νυ̃ν δευ̃τε καὶ ἐμπέσωμεν εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν Συρίας ἐὰν ζωογονήσωσιν ἡμα̃ς καὶ ζησόμεθα καὶ ἐὰν θανατώσωσιν ἡμα̃ς καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα (Ⅲ) - sive ingredi voluerimus civitatem, fame moriemur : sive manserimus hic, moriendum nobis est : venite ergo, et transfugiamus ad castra Syriæ : si pepercerint nobis, vivemus : si autem occidere voluerint, nihilominus moriemur. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃7 אם אמרנו נבוא העיר והרעב בעיר ומתנו שם ואם ישבנו פה ומתנו ועתה לכו ונפלה אל מחנה ארם אם יחינו נחיה ואם ימיתנו ומתנו (Ⅴ)

And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
- Ils partirent donc au crépuscule, pour se rendre au camp des Syriens; et lorsqu'ils furent arrivés à l'entrée du camp des Syriens, voici, il n'y avait personne. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἐν τω̨̃ σκότει εἰσελθει̃ν εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν Συρίας καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς μέρος τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς Συρίας καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἔστιν ἀνὴρ ἐκει̃ (Ⅲ) - Surrexerunt ergo vesperi, ut venirent ad castra Syriæ. Cumque venissent ad principium castrorum Syriæ, nullum ibidem repererunt. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃7 ויקומו בנשף לבוא אל מחנה ארם ויבאו עד קצה מחנה ארם והנה אין שם איש (Ⅴ)

For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
- Le Seigneur avait fait entendre dans le camp des Syriens un bruit de chars et un bruit de chevaux, le bruit d'une grande armée, et ils s'étaient dit l'un à l'autre: Voici, le roi d'Israël a pris à sa solde contre nous les rois des Héthiens et les rois des Égyptiens pour venir nous attaquer. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κύριος ἀκουστὴν ἐποίησεν τὴν παρεμβολὴν Συρίας φωνὴν ἅρματος καὶ φωνὴν ἵππου καὶ φωνὴν δυνάμεως μεγάλης καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἀνὴρ πρὸς τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτου̃ νυ̃ν ἐμισθώσατο ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ τοὺς βασιλέας τω̃ν Χετταίων καὶ τοὺς βασιλέας Αἰγύπτου του̃ ἐλθει̃ν ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς (Ⅲ) - Siquidem Dominus sonitum audiri fecerat in castris Syriæ, curruum, et equorum, et exercitus plurimi : dixeruntque ad invicem : Ecce mercede conduxit adversum nos rex Israël reges Hethæorum et Ægyptiorum, et venerunt super nos. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃7 ואדני השמיע את מחנה ארם קול רכב קול סוס קול חיל גדול ויאמרו איש אל אחיו הנה שכר עלינו מלך ישראל את מלכי החתים ואת מלכי מצרים לבוא עלינו (Ⅴ)

Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
- Et ils se levèrent et prirent la fuite au crépuscule, abandonnant leurs tentes, leurs chevaux et leurs ânes, le camp tel qu'il était, et ils s'enfuirent pour sauver leur vie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέστησαν καὶ ἀπέδρασαν ἐν τω̨̃ σκότει καὶ ἐγκατέλιπαν τὰς σκηνὰς αὐτω̃ν καὶ τοὺς ἵππους αὐτω̃ν καὶ τοὺς ὄνους αὐτω̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ ὡς ἔστιν καὶ ἔφυγον πρὸς τὴν ψυχὴν ἑαυτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Surrexerunt ergo, et fugerunt in tenebris, et dereliquerunt tentoria sua, et equos et asinos, in castris, fugeruntque animas tantum suas salvare cupientes. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃7 ויקומו וינוסו בנשף ויעזבו את אהליהם ואת סוסיהם ואת חמריהם המחנה כאשר היא וינסו אל נפשם (Ⅴ)

And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.
- Les lépreux, étant arrivés à l'entrée du camp, pénétrèrent dans une tente, mangèrent et burent, et en emportèrent de l'argent, de l'or, et des vêtements, qu'ils allèrent cacher. Ils revinrent, pénétrèrent dans une autre tente, et en emportèrent des objets qu'ils allèrent cacher. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰση̃λθον οἱ λεπροὶ οὑ̃τοι ἕως μέρους τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς καὶ εἰση̃λθον εἰς σκηνὴν μίαν καὶ ἔφαγον καὶ ἔπιον καὶ ἠ̃ραν ἐκει̃θεν ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον καὶ ἱματισμὸν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν καὶ εἰση̃λθον εἰς σκηνὴν ἄλλην καὶ ἔλαβον ἐκει̃θεν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ κατέκρυψαν (Ⅲ) - Igitur cum venissent leprosi illi ad principium castrorum, ingressi sunt unum tabernaculum, et comederunt et biberunt : tuleruntque inde argentum, et aurum, et vestes, et abierunt, et absconderunt : et rursum reversi sunt ad aliud tabernaculum, et inde similiter auferentes absconderunt. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃7 ויבאו המצרעים האלה עד קצה המחנה ויבאו אל אהל אחד ויאכלו וישתו וישאו משם כסף וזהב ובגדים וילכו ויטמנו וישבו ויבאו אל אהל אחר וישאו משם וילכו ויטמנו (Ⅴ)

Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.
- Puis ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Nous n'agissons pas bien! Cette journée est une journée de bonne nouvelle; si nous gardons le silence et si nous attendons jusqu'à la lumière du matin, le châtiment nous atteindra. Venez maintenant, et allons informer la maison du roi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἀνὴρ πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτου̃ οὐχ οὕτως ἡμει̃ς ποιου̃μεν ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη ἡμέρα εὐαγγελίας ἐστίν καὶ ἡμει̃ς σιωπω̃μεν καὶ μένομεν ἕως φωτὸς του̃ πρωὶ καὶ εὑρήσομεν ἀνομίαν καὶ νυ̃ν δευ̃ρο καὶ εἰσέλθωμεν καὶ ἀναγγείλωμεν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ) - Dixeruntque ad invicem : Non recte facimus : hæc enim dies boni nuntii est. Si tacuerimus et noluerimus nuntiare usque mane, sceleris arguemur : venite, eamus, et nuntiemus in aula regis. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃7 ויאמרו איש אל רעהו לא כן אנחנו עשים היום הזה יום בשרה הוא ואנחנו מחשים וחכינו עד אור הבקר ומצאנו עוון ועתה לכו ונבאה ונגידה בית המלך (Ⅴ)

So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.
- Ils partirent, et ils appelèrent les gardes de la porte de la ville, auxquels ils firent ce rapport: Nous sommes entrés dans le camp des Syriens, et voici, il n'y a personne, on n'y entend aucune voix d'homme; il n'y a que des chevaux attachés et des ânes attachés, et les tentes comme elles étaient. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰση̃λθον καὶ ἐβόησαν πρὸς τὴν πύλην τη̃ς πόλεως καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν αὐτοι̃ς λέγοντες εἰσήλθομεν εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν Συρίας καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκει̃ ἀνὴρ καὶ φωνὴ ἀνθρώπου ὅτι εἰ μὴ ἵππος δεδεμένος καὶ ὄνος καὶ αἱ σκηναὶ αὐτω̃ν ὡς εἰσίν (Ⅲ) - Cumque venissent ad portam civitatis, narraverunt eis, dicentes : Ivimus ad castra Syriæ, et nullum ibidem reperimus hominem, nisi equos et asinos alligatos, et fixa tentoria. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃7 ויבאו ויקראו אל שער העיר ויגידו להם לאמר באנו אל מחנה ארם והנה אין שם איש וקול אדם כי אם הסוס אסור והחמור אסור ואהלים כאשר המה (Ⅴ)

And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within.
- Les gardes de la porte crièrent, et ils transmirent ce rapport à l'intérieur de la maison du roi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐβόησαν οἱ θυρωροὶ καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ βασιλέως ἔσω (Ⅲ) - Ierunt ergo portarii, et nuntiaverunt in palatio regis intrinsecus. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃7 ויקרא השערים ויגידו בית המלך פנימה (Ⅴ)

And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
- Le roi se leva de nuit, et il dit à ses serviteurs: Je veux vous communiquer ce que nous font les Syriens. Comme ils savent que nous sommes affamés, ils ont quitté le camp pour se cacher dans les champs, et ils se sont dit: Quand ils sortiront de la ville, nous les saisirons vivants, et nous entrerons dans la ville. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέστη ὁ βασιλεὺς νυκτὸς καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς τοὺς παι̃δας αὐτου̃ ἀναγγελω̃ δὴ ὑμι̃ν ἃ ἐποίησεν ἡμι̃ν Συρία ἔγνωσαν ὅτι πεινω̃μεν ἡμει̃ς καὶ ἐξη̃λθαν ἐκ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς καὶ ἐκρύβησαν ἐν τω̨̃ ἀγρω̨̃ λέγοντες ὅτι ἐξελεύσονται ἐκ τη̃ς πόλεως καὶ συλλημψόμεθα αὐτοὺς ζω̃ντας καὶ εἰς τὴν πόλιν εἰσελευσόμεθα (Ⅲ) - Qui surrexit nocte, et ait ad servos suos : Dico vobis quid fecerint nobis Syri : sciunt quia fame laboramus, et idcirco egressi sunt de castris, et latitant in agris, dicentes : Cum egressi fuerint de civitate, capiemus eos vivos, et tunc civitatem ingredi poterimus. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃7 ויקם המלך לילה ויאמר אל עבדיו אגידה נא לכם את אשר עשו לנו ארם ידעו כי רעבים אנחנו ויצאו מן המחנה להחבה *בהשדה **בשדה לאמר כי יצאו מן העיר ונתפשם חיים ואל העיר נבא (Ⅴ)

And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see.
- L'un des serviteurs du roi répondit: Que l'on prenne cinq des chevaux qui restent encore dans la ville, -ils sont comme toute la multitude d'Israël qui y est restée, ils sont comme toute la multitude d'Israël qui dépérit, -et envoyons voir ce qui se passe. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη εἱ̃ς τω̃ν παίδων αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν λαβέτωσαν δὴ πέντε τω̃ν ἵππων τω̃ν ὑπολελειμμένων οἳ κατελείφθησαν ὡ̃δε ἰδού εἰσιν πρὸς πα̃ν τὸ πλη̃θος Ισραηλ τὸ ἐκλει̃πον καὶ ἀποστελου̃μεν ἐκει̃ καὶ ὀψόμεθα (Ⅲ) - Respondit autem unus servorum ejus : Tollamus quinque equos qui remanserunt in urbe (quia ipsi tantum sunt in universa multitudine Israël, alii enim consumpti sunt), et mittentes, explorare poterimus. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃7 ויען אחד מעבדיו ויאמר ויקחו נא חמשה מן הסוסים הנשארים אשר נשארו בה הנם ככל *ההמון **המון ישראל אשר נשארו בה הנם ככל המון ישראל אשר תמו ונשלחה ונראה (Ⅴ)

They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see.
- On prit deux chars avec les chevaux, et le roi envoya des messagers sur les traces de l'armée des Syriens, en disant: Allez et voyez. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔλαβον δύο ἐπιβάτας ἵππων καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ ὀπίσω του̃ βασιλέως Συρίας λέγων δευ̃τε καὶ ἴδετε (Ⅲ) - Adduxerunt ergo duos equos, misitque rex in castra Syrorum, dicens : Ite, et videte. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃7 ויקחו שני רכב סוסים וישלח המלך אחרי מחנה ארם לאמר לכו וראו (Ⅴ)

And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.
- Ils allèrent après eux jusqu'au Jourdain; et voici, toute la route était pleine de vêtements et d'objets que les Syriens avaient jetés dans leur précipitation. Les messagers revinrent, et le rapportèrent au roi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω αὐτω̃ν ἕως του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἰδοὺ πα̃σα ἡ ὁδὸς πλήρης ἱματίων καὶ σκευω̃ν ὡ̃ν ἔρριψεν Συρία ἐν τω̨̃ θαμβει̃σθαι αὐτούς καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν οἱ ἄγγελοι καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ (Ⅲ) - Qui abierunt post eos usque ad Jordanem : ecce autem omnis via plena erat vestibus et vasis quæ projecerant Syri cum turbarentur : reversique nuntii indicaverunt regi. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃7 וילכו אחריהם עד הירדן והנה כל הדרך מלאה בגדים וכלים אשר השליכו ארם *בהחפזם **בחפזם וישבו המלאכים ויגדו למלך (Ⅴ)

And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.
- Le peuple sortit, et pilla le camp des Syriens. Et l'on eut une mesure de fleur de farine pour un sicle et deux mesures d'orge pour un sicle, selon la parole de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν ὁ λαὸς καὶ διήρπασεν τὴν παρεμβολὴν Συρίας καὶ ἐγένετο μέτρον σεμιδάλεως σίκλου καὶ δίμετρον κριθω̃ν σίκλου κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Et egressus populus diripuit castra Syriæ : factusque est modius similæ statere uno, et duo modii hordei statere uno, juxta verbum Domini. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃7 ויצא העם ויבזו את מחנה ארם ויהי סאה סלת בשקל וסאתים שערים בשקל כדבר יהוה (Ⅴ)

And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.
- Le roi avait remis la garde de la porte à l'officier sur la main duquel il s'appuyait; mais cet officier fut écrasé à la porte par le peuple et il mourut, selon la parole qu'avait prononcée l'homme de Dieu quand le roi était descendu vers lui. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς κατέστησεν τὸν τριστάτην ἐφ' ὃν ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐπανεπαύετο ἐπὶ τη̨̃ χειρὶ αὐτου̃ ἐπὶ τη̃ς πύλης καὶ συνεπάτησεν αὐτὸν ὁ λαὸς ἐν τη̨̃ πύλη̨ καὶ ἀπέθανεν καθὰ ἐλάλησεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ ὃς ἐλάλησεν ἐν τω̨̃ καταβη̃ναι τὸν ἄγγελον πρὸς αὐτόν (Ⅲ) - Porro rex ducem illum, in cujus manu incumbebat, constituit ad portam : quem conculcavit turba in introitu portæ, et mortuus est, juxta quod locutus fuerat vir Dei, quando descenderat rex ad eum. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃7 והמלך הפקיד את השליש אשר נשען על ידו על השער וירמסהו העם בשער וימת כאשר דבר איש האלהים אשר דבר ברדת המלך אליו (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:
- L'homme de Dieu avait dit alors au roi: On aura deux mesures d'orge pour un sicle et une mesure de fleur de farine pour un sicle, demain, à cette heure, à la porte de Samarie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο καθὰ ἐλάλησεν Ελισαιε πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα λέγων Δίμετρον κριθη̃ς σίκλου καὶ μέτρον σεμιδάλεως σίκλου καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἡ ὥρα αὕτη αὔριον ἐν τη̨̃ πύλη̨ Σαμαρείας (Ⅲ) - Factumque est secundum sermonem viri Dei quem dixerat regi, quando ait : Duo modii hordei statere uno erunt, et modius similæ statere uno, hoc eodem tempore cras in porta Samariæ : (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃7 ויהי כדבר איש האלהים אל המלך לאמר סאתים שערים בשקל וסאה סלת בשקל יהיה כעת מחר בשער שמרון (Ⅴ)

And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
- Et l'officier avait répondu à l'homme de Dieu: Quand l'Éternel ferait des fenêtres au ciel, pareille chose arriverait-elle? Et Élisée avait dit: Tu le verras de tes yeux; mais tu n'en mangeras point. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ τριστάτης τω̨̃ Ελισαιε καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἰδοὺ κύριος ποιει̃ καταρράκτας ἐν τω̨̃ οὐρανω̨̃ μὴ ἔσται τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε ἰδοὺ ὄψη̨ τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου καὶ ἐκει̃θεν οὐ φάγη̨ (Ⅲ) - quando responderat dux ille viro Dei, et dixerat : Etiamsi Dominus fecerit cataractas in cælo, numquid poterit fieri quod loqueris ? Et dixit ei : Videbis oculis tuis, et inde non comedes. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃7 ויען השליש את איש האלהים ויאמר והנה יהוה עשה ארבות בשמים היהיה כדבר הזה ויאמר הנך ראה בעיניך ומשם לא תאכל (Ⅴ)

And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.

(Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο οὕτως καὶ συνεπάτησεν αὐτὸν ὁ λαὸς ἐν τη̨̃ πύλη̨ καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ) - Evenit ergo ei sicut prædictum fuerat, et conculcavit eum populus in porta, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃7 ויהי לו כן וירמסו אתו העם בשער וימת ס (Ⅴ)
