8. 1

Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

- Élisée dit à la femme dont il avait fait revivre le fils: Lève-toi, va t'en, toi et ta maison, et séjourne où tu pourras; car l'Éternel appelle la famine, et même elle vient sur le pays pour sept années. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Ελισαιε ἐλάλησεν πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα ἡ̃ς ἐζωπύρησεν τὸν υἱόν λέγων ἀνάστηθι καὶ δευ̃ρο σὺ καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κός σου καὶ παροίκει οὑ̃ ἐὰν παροικήση̨ς ὅτι κέκληκεν κύριος λιμὸν ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν καί γε ἠ̃λθεν ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν ἑπτὰ ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Eliseus autem locutus est ad mulierem cujus vivere fecerat filium, dicens : Surge, vade tu et domus tua, et peregrinare ubicumque repereris : vocavit enim Dominus famem, et veniet super terram septem annis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃8 ואלישע דבר אל האשה אשר החיה את בנה לאמר קומי ולכי *אתי **את וביתך וגורי באשר תגורי כי קרא יהוה לרעב וגם בא אל הארץ שבע שנים ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 2

And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

- La femme se leva, et elle fit selon la parole de l'homme de Dieu: elle s'en alla, elle et sa maison, et séjourna sept ans au pays des Philistins. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέστη ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἐποίησεν κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα Ελισαιε καὶ ἐπορεύθη αὐτὴ καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κος αὐτη̃ς καὶ παρώ̨κει ἐν γη̨̃ ἀλλοφύλων ἑπτὰ ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Quæ surrexit, et fecit juxta verbum hominis Dei : et vadens cum domo sua, peregrinata est in terra Philisthiim diebus multis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃8 ותקם האשה ותעש כדבר איש האלהים ותלך היא וביתה ותגר בארץ פלשתים שבע שנים ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 3

And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

- Au bout des sept ans, la femme revint du pays des Philistins, et elle alla implorer le roi au sujet de sa maison et de son champ. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὸ τέλος τω̃ν ἑπτὰ ἐτω̃ν καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἡ γυνὴ ἐκ γη̃ς ἀλλοφύλων εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ ἠ̃λθεν βοη̃σαι πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα περὶ του̃ οἴκου ἑαυτη̃ς καὶ περὶ τω̃ν ἀγρω̃ν ἑαυτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Cumque finiti essent anni septem, reversa est mulier de terra Philisthiim : et egressa est ut interpellaret regem pro domo sua, et pro agris suis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃8 ויהי מקצה שבע שנים ותשב האשה מארץ פלשתים ותצא לצעק אל המלך אל ביתה ואל שדה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 4

And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.

- Le roi s'entretenait avec Guéhazi, serviteur de l'homme de Dieu, et il disait: Raconte-moi, je te prie, toutes les grandes choses qu'Élisée a faites. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐλάλει πρὸς Γιεζι τὸ παιδάριον Ελισαιε του̃ ἀνθρώπου του̃ θεου̃ λέγων διήγησαι δή μοι πάντα τὰ μεγάλα ἃ ἐποίησεν Ελισαιε (Ⅲ)

- Rex autem loquebatur cum Giezi puero viri Dei, dicens : Narra mihi omnia magnalia quæ fecit Eliseus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃8 והמלך מדבר אל גחזי נער איש האלהים לאמר ספרה נא לי את כל הגדלות אשר עשה אלישע ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 5

And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

- Et pendant qu'il racontait au roi comment Élisée avait rendu la vie à un mort, la femme dont Élisée avait fait revivre le fils vint implorer le roi au sujet de sa maison et de son champ. Guéhazi dit: O roi, mon seigneur, voici la femme, et voici son fils qu'Élisée a fait revivre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτου̃ ἐξηγουμένου τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ ὡς ἐζωπύρησεν υἱὸν τεθνηκότα καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡ γυνή ἡ̃ς ἐζωπύρησεν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτη̃ς Ελισαιε βοω̃σα πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα περὶ του̃ οἴκου ἑαυτη̃ς καὶ περὶ τω̃ν ἀγρω̃ν ἑαυτη̃ς καὶ εἰ̃πεν Γιεζι κύριε βασιλευ̃ αὕτη ἡ γυνή καὶ οὑ̃τος ὁ υἱὸς αὐτη̃ς ὃν ἐζωπύρησεν Ελισαιε (Ⅲ)

- Cumque ille narraret regi quomodo mortuum suscitasset, apparuit mulier cujus vivificaverat filium, clamans ad regem pro domo sua, et pro agris suis. Dixitque Giezi : Domine mi rex, hæc est mulier, et hic est filius ejus quem suscitavit Eliseus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃8 ויהי הוא מספר למלך את אשר החיה את המת והנה האשה אשר החיה את בנה צעקת אל המלך על ביתה ועל שדה ויאמר גחזי אדני המלך זאת‪[c]‬ האשה וזה בנה אשר החיה אלישע ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 6

And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

- Le roi interrogea la femme, et elle lui fit le récit. Puis le roi lui donna un eunuque, auquel il dit: Fais restituer tout ce qui appartient à cette femme, avec tous les revenus du champ, depuis le jour où elle a quitté le pays jusqu'à maintenant. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὴν γυναι̃κα καὶ διηγήσατο αὐτω̨̃ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτη̨̃ ὁ βασιλεὺς εὐνου̃χον ἕνα λέγων ἐπίστρεψον πάντα τὰ αὐτη̃ς καὶ πάντα τὰ γενήματα του̃ ἀγρου̃ αὐτη̃ς ἀπὸ τη̃ς ἡμέρας ἡ̃ς κατέλιπεν τὴν γη̃ν ἕως του̃ νυ̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Et interrogavit rex mulierem : quæ narravit ei. Deditque ei rex eunuchum unum, dicens : Restitue ei omnia quæ sua sunt, et universos reditus agrorum, a die qua reliquit terram usque ad præsens.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃8 וישאל המלך לאשה ותספר לו ויתן לה המלך סריס אחד לאמר השיב את כל אשר לה ואת כל תבואת השדה מיום עזבה את הארץ ועד עתה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 7

And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

- Élisée se rendit à Damas. Ben Hadad, roi de Syrie, était malade; et on l'avertit, en disant: L'homme de Dieu est arrivé ici. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Ελισαιε εἰς Δαμασκόν καὶ υἱὸς Αδερ βασιλεὺς Συρίας ἠρρώστει καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν αὐτω̨̃ λέγοντες ἥκει ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ ἕως ὡ̃δε (Ⅲ)

- Venit quoque Eliseus Damascum, et Benadad rex Syriæ ægrotabat : nuntiaveruntque ei, dicentes : Venit vir Dei huc. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃8 ויבא אלישע דמשק ובן הדד מלך ארם חלה ויגד לו לאמר בא איש האלהים עד הנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 8

And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

- Le roi dit à Hazaël: Prends avec toi un présent, et va au-devant de l'homme de Dieu; consulte par lui l'Éternel, en disant: Guérirai-je de cette maladie? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς Αζαηλ λαβὲ ἐν τη̨̃ χειρί σου μαναα καὶ δευ̃ρο εἰς ἀπαντὴν τω̨̃ ἀνθρώπω̨ του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ἐπιζήτησον τὸν κύριον παρ' αὐτου̃ λέγων εἰ ζήσομαι ἐκ τη̃ς ἀρρωστίας μου ταύτης (Ⅲ)

- Et ait rex ad Hazaël : Tolle tecum munera, et vade in occursum viri Dei, et consule Dominum per eum, dicens : Si evadere potero de infirmitate mea hac ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃8 ויאמר המלך אל חזהאל קח בידך מנחה ולך לקראת איש האלהים ודרשת‪[c]‬ את יהוה מאותו לאמר האחיה מחלי זה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 9

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

- Hazaël alla au-devant d'Élisée, prenant avec lui un présent, tout ce qu'il y avait de meilleur à Damas, la charge de quarante chameaux. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il se présenta à lui, et dit: Ton fils Ben Hadad, roi de Syrie, m'envoie vers toi pour dire: Guérirai-je de cette maladie? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη Αζαηλ εἰς ἀπαντὴν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔλαβεν μαναα ἐν τη̨̃ χειρὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ πάντα τὰ ἀγαθὰ Δαμασκου̃ ἄρσιν τεσσαράκοντα καμήλων καὶ ἠ̃λθεν καὶ ἔστη ἐνώπιον αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς Ελισαιε ὁ υἱός σου υἱὸς Αδερ βασιλεὺς Συρίας ἀπέστειλέν με πρὸς σὲ λέγων εἰ ζήσομαι ἐκ τη̃ς ἀρρωστίας μου ταύτης (Ⅲ)

- Ivit igitur Hazaël in occursum ejus, habens secum munera, et omnia bona Damasci, onera quadraginta camelorum. Cumque stetisset coram eo, ait : Filius tuus Benadad rex Syriæ misit me ad te, dicens : Si sanari potero de infirmitate mea hac ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃8 וילך חזאל לקראתו ויקח מנחה בידו וכל טוב דמשק משא ארבעים גמל ויבא ויעמד לפניו ויאמר בנך‪[c]‬ בן הדד מלך ארם שלחני אליך לאמר האחיה מחלי זה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 10

And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath showed me that he shall surely die.

- Élisée lui répondit: Va, dis-lui: Tu guériras! Mais l'Éternel m'a révélé qu'il mourra. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε δευ̃ρο εἰπὸν αὐτω̨̃ ζωη̨̃ ζήση̨ καὶ ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος ὅτι θανάτω̨ ἀποθανη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque ei Eliseus : Vade, dic ei : Sanaberis : porro ostendit mihi Dominus quia morte morietur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃8 ויאמר אליו אלישע לך אמר *לא **לו חיה תחיה והראני יהוה כי מות ימות ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 11

And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

- L'homme de Dieu arrêta son regard sur Hazaël, et le fixa longtemps, puis il pleura. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ παρέστη τω̨̃ προσώπω̨ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔθηκεν ἕως αἰσχύνης καὶ ἔκλαυσεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Stetique cum eo, et conturbatus est usque ad suffusionem vultus : flevitque vir Dei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃8 ויעמד את פניו וישם עד בש ויבך איש האלהים ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 12

And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

- Hazaël dit: Pourquoi mon seigneur pleure-t-il? Et Élisée répondit: Parce que je sais le mal que tu feras aux enfants d'Israël; tu mettras le feu à leurs villes fortes, tu tueras avec l'épée leurs jeunes gens, tu écraseras leurs petits enfants, et tu fendras le ventre de leurs femmes enceintes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αζαηλ τί ὅτι ὁ κύριός μου κλαίει καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὅτι οἰ̃δα ὅσα ποιήσεις τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ κακά τὰ ὀχυρώματα αὐτω̃ν ἐξαποστελει̃ς ἐν πυρὶ καὶ τοὺς ἐκλεκτοὺς αὐτω̃ν ἐν ῥομφαία̨ ἀποκτενει̃ς καὶ τὰ νήπια αὐτω̃ν ἐνσείσεις καὶ τὰς ἐν γαστρὶ ἐχούσας αὐτω̃ν ἀναρρήξεις (Ⅲ)

- Cui Hazaël ait : Quare dominus meus flet ? At ille dixit : Quia scio quæ facturus sis filiis Israël mala. Civitates eorum munitas igne succendes, et juvenes eorum interficies gladio, et parvulos eorum elides, et prægnantes divides. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃8 ויאמר חזאל מדוע אדני בכה ויאמר כי ידעתי את אשר תעשה לבני ישראל רעה מבצריהם תשלח באש ובחריהם בחרב תהרג ועלליהם תרטש והרתיהם תבקע ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 13

And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath showed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.

- Hazaël dit: Mais qu'est-ce que ton serviteur, ce chien, pour faire de si grandes choses? Et Élisée dit: L'Éternel m'a révélé que tu seras roi de Syrie. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αζαηλ τίς ἐστιν ὁ δου̃λός σου ὁ κύων ὁ τεθνηκώς ὅτι ποιήσει τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ελισαιε ἔδειξέν μοι κύριός σε βασιλεύοντα ἐπὶ Συρίαν (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Hazaël : Quid enim sum servus tuus canis, ut faciam rem istam magnam ? Et ait Eliseus : Ostendit mihi Dominus te regem Syriæ fore. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃8 ויאמר חזהאל כי מה עבדך הכלב כי יעשה הדבר הגדול הזה ויאמר אלישע הראני יהוה אתך מלך על ארם ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 14

So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.

- Hazaël quitta Élisée, et revint auprès de son maître, qui lui dit: Que t'a dit Élisée? Et il répondit: Il m'a dit: Tu guériras! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν ἀπὸ Ελισαιε καὶ εἰση̃λθεν πρὸς τὸν κύριον αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ τί εἰ̃πέν σοι Ελισαιε καὶ εἰ̃πεν εἰ̃πέν μοι ζωη̨̃ ζήση̨ (Ⅲ)

- Qui cum recessisset ab Eliseo, venit ad dominum suum. Qui ait ei : Quid dixit tibi Eliseus ? At ille respondit : Dixit mihi : Recipies sanitatem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃8 וילך מאת אלישע ויבא אל אדניו ויאמר לו מה אמר לך אלישע ויאמר אמר לי חיה תחיה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 15

And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

- Le lendemain, Hazaël prit une couverture, qu'il plongea dans l'eau, et il l'étendit sur le visage du roi, qui mourut. Et Hazaël régna à sa place. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο τη̨̃ ἐπαύριον καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸ μαχμα καὶ ἔβαψεν ἐν τω̨̃ ὕδατι καὶ περιέβαλεν ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀπέθανεν καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Αζαηλ ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque venisset dies altera, tulit stragulum, et infudit aquam, et expandit super faciem ejus : quo mortuo, regnavit Hazaël pro eo.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃8 ויהי ממחרת ויקח המכבר ויטבל במים ויפרש על פניו וימת וימלך חזהאל תחתיו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 16

And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

- La cinquième année de Joram, fils d'Achab, roi d'Israël, Joram, fils de Josaphat, roi de Juda, régna. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ἔτει πέμπτω̨ τω̨̃ Ιωραμ υἱω̨̃ Αχααβ βασιλει̃ Ισραηλ ἐβασίλευσεν Ιωραμ υἱὸς Ιωσαφατ βασιλεὺς Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- Anno quinto Joram filii Achab regis Israël, et Josaphat regis Juda, regnavit Joram filius Josaphat rex Juda. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃8 ובשנת חמש ליורם בן אחאב מלך ישראל ויהושפט מלך יהודה מלך יהורם בן יהושפט מלך יהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 17

Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

- Il avait trente-deux ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna huit ans à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)

- υἱὸς τριάκοντα καὶ δύο ἐτω̃ν ἠ̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ βασιλεύειν αὐτὸν καὶ ὀκτὼ ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ)

- Triginta duorum annorum erat cum regnare cœpisset, et octo annis regnavit in Jerusalem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃8 בן שלשים ושתים שנה היה במלכו ושמנה *שנה **שנים מלך בירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 18

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

- Il marcha dans la voie des rois d'Israël, comme avait fait la maison d'Achab, car il avait pour femme une fille d'Achab, et il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν ὁδω̨̃ βασιλέων Ισραηλ καθὼς ἐποίησεν οἰ̃κος Αχααβ ὅτι θυγάτηρ Αχααβ ἠ̃ν αὐτω̨̃ εἰς γυναι̃κα καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Ambulavitque in viis regum Israël, sicut ambulaverat domus Achab : filia enim Achab erat uxor ejus : et fecit quod malum est in conspectu Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃8 וילך בדרך מלכי ישראל כאשר עשו בית אחאב כי בת אחאב היתה לו לאשה ויעש הרע בעיני יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 19

Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.

- Mais l'Éternel ne voulut point détruire Juda, à cause de David, son serviteur, selon la promesse qu'il lui avait faite de lui donner toujours une lampe parmi ses fils. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν κύριος διαφθει̃ραι τὸν Ιουδαν διὰ Δαυιδ τὸν δου̃λον αὐτου̃ καθὼς εἰ̃πεν δου̃ναι αὐτω̨̃ λύχνον καὶ τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτου̃ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας (Ⅲ)

- Noluit autem Dominus disperdere Judam, propter David servum suum, sicut promiserat ei, ut daret illi lucernam, et filiis ejus cunctis diebus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃8 ולא אבה יהוה להשחית את יהודה למען דוד עבדו כאשר אמר לו לתת לו ניר לבניו כל הימים ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 20

In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.

- De son temps, Édom se révolta contre l'autorité de Juda, et se donna un roi. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις αὐτου̃ ἠθέτησεν Εδωμ ὑποκάτωθεν χειρὸς Ιουδα καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν ἐφ' ἑαυτοὺς βασιλέα (Ⅲ)

- In diebus ejus recessit Edom ne esset sub Juda, et constituit sibi regem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃8 בימיו פשע אדום מתחת יד יהודה וימלכו עליהם מלך ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 21

So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

- Joram passa à Tsaïr, avec tous ses chars; s'étant levé de nuit, il battit les Édomites, qui l'entouraient et les chefs des chars, et le peuple s'enfuit dans ses tentes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβη Ιωραμ εἰς Σιωρ καὶ πάντα τὰ ἅρματα μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτου̃ ἀναστάντος καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν Εδωμ τὸν κυκλώσαντα ἐπ' αὐτὸν καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας τω̃ν ἁρμάτων καὶ ἔφυγεν ὁ λαὸς εἰς τὰ σκηνώματα αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Venitque Joram Seira, et omnes currus cum eo : et surrexit nocte, percussitque Idumæos qui eum circumdederant, et principes curruum : populus autem fugit in tabernacula sua. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃8 ויעבר יורם צעירה וכל הרכב עמו ויהי הוא קם לילה ויכה את אדום הסביב אליו ואת שרי הרכב וינס העם לאהליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 22

Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.

- La rébellion d'Édom contre l'autorité de Juda a duré jusqu'à ce jour. Libna se révolta aussi dans le même temps. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠθέτησεν Εδωμ ὑποκάτωθεν χειρὸς Ιουδα ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης τότε ἠθέτησεν Λοβενα ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Recessit ergo Edom ne esset sub Juda, usque ad diem hanc. Tunc recessit et Lobna in tempore illo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃8 ויפשע אדום מתחת יד יהודה עד היום הזה אז תפשע לבנה בעת ההיא ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 23

And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

- Le reste des actions de Joram, et tout ce qu'il a fait, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Ιωραμ καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταυ̃τα γέγραπται ἐπὶ βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem sermonum Joram, et universa quæ fecit, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro verborum dierum regum Juda ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃8 ויתר דברי יורם וכל אשר עשה הלוא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי יהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 24

And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

- Joram se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré avec ses pères dans la ville de David. Et Achazia, son fils, régna à sa place. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Ιωραμ μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐτάφη μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Οχοζιας υἱὸς αὐτου̃ ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et dormivit Joram cum patribus suis, sepultusque est cum eis in civitate David, et regnavit Ochozias filius ejus pro eo.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃8 וישכב יורם עם אבתיו ויקבר עם אבתיו בעיר דוד וימלך אחזיהו בנו תחתיו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 25

In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.

- La douzième année de Joram, fils d'Achab, roi d'Israël, Achazia, fils de Joram, roi de Juda, régna. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ἔτει δωδεκάτω̨ τω̨̃ Ιωραμ υἱω̨̃ Αχααβ βασιλει̃ Ισραηλ ἐβασίλευσεν Οχοζιας υἱὸς Ιωραμ (Ⅲ)

- Anno duodecimo Joram filii Achab regis Israël regnavit Ochozias filius Joram regis Judæ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃8 בשנת שתים עשרה שנה ליורם בן אחאב מלך ישראל מלך אחזיהו בן יהורם מלך יהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 26

Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

- Achazia avait vingt-deux ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna un an à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Athalie, fille d'Omri, roi d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- υἱὸς εἴκοσι καὶ δύο ἐτω̃ν Οχοζιας ἐν τω̨̃ βασιλεύειν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐνιαυτὸν ἕνα ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ὄνομα τη̃ς μητρὸς αὐτου̃ Γοθολια θυγάτηρ Αμβρι βασιλέως Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Viginti duorum annorum erat Ochozias cum regnare cœpisset, et uno anno regnavit in Jerusalem : nomen matris ejus Athalia filia Amri regis Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃8 בן עשרים ושתים שנה אחזיהו במלכו ושנה אחת מלך בירושלם ושם אמו עתליהו בת עמרי מלך ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 27

And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.

- Il marcha dans la voie de la maison d'Achab, et il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, comme la maison d'Achab, car il était allié par mariage à la maison d'Achab. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν ὁδω̨̃ οἴκου Αχααβ καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καθὼς ὁ οἰ̃κος Αχααβ (Ⅲ)

- Et ambulavit in viis domus Achab : et fecit quod malum est coram Domino, sicut domus Achab : gener enim domus Achab fuit. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃8 וילך בדרך בית אחאב ויעש הרע בעיני יהוה כבית אחאב כי חתן בית אחאב הוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 28

And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.

- Il alla avec Joram, fils d'Achab, à la guerre contre Hazaël, roi de Syrie, à Ramoth en Galaad. Et les Syriens blessèrent Joram. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη μετὰ Ιωραμ υἱου̃ Αχααβ εἰς πόλεμον μετὰ Αζαηλ βασιλέως ἀλλοφύλων ἐν Ρεμμωθ Γαλααδ καὶ ἐπάταξαν οἱ Σύροι τὸν Ιωραμ (Ⅲ)

- Abiit quoque cum Joram filio Achab ad præliandum contra Hazaël regem Syriæ in Ramoth Galaad, et vulneraverunt Syri Joram. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃8 וילך את יורם בן אחאב למלחמה עם חזהאל מלך ארם ברמת גלעד ויכו ארמים את יורם ‬ (Ⅴ)

8. 29

And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.

- Le roi Joram s'en retourna pour se faire guérir à Jizreel des blessures que les Syriens lui avaient faites à Rama, lorsqu'il se battait contre Hazaël, roi de Syrie. Achazia, fils de Joram, roi de Juda, descendit pour voir Joram, fils d'Achab, à Jizreel, parce qu'il était malade. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιωραμ του̃ ἰατρευθη̃ναι ἐν Ιεζραελ ἀπὸ τω̃ν πληγω̃ν ὡ̃ν ἐπάταξαν αὐτὸν ἐν Ρεμμωθ ἐν τω̨̃ πολεμει̃ν αὐτὸν μετὰ Αζαηλ βασιλέως Συρίας καὶ Οχοζιας υἱὸς Ιωραμ κατέβη του̃ ἰδει̃ν τὸν Ιωραμ υἱὸν Αχααβ ἐν Ιεζραελ ὅτι ἠρρώστει αὐτός (Ⅲ)

- Qui reversus est ut curaretur in Jezrahel, quia vulneraverant eum Syri in Ramoth præliantem contra Hazaël regem Syriæ. Porro Ochozias filius Joram rex Juda descendit invisere Joram filium Achab in Jezrahel, quia ægrotabat ibi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃8 וישב יורם המלך להתרפא ביזרעאל מן המכים אשר יכהו ארמים ברמה בהלחמו את חזהאל מלך ארם ואחזיהו בן יהורם מלך יהודה ירד לראות את יורם בן אחאב ביזרעאל כי חלה הוא פ‬ (Ⅴ)
