And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.
- Lorsque Roboam se fut affermi dans son royaume et qu'il eut acquis de la force, il abandonna la loi de l'Éternel, et tout Israël l'abandonna avec lui. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἡτοιμάσθη ἡ βασιλεία Ροβοαμ καὶ ὡς κατεκρατήθη ἐγκατέλιπεν τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ μετ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Cumque roboratum fuisset regnum Roboam et confortatum, dereliquit legem Domini, et omnis Israël cum eo. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃12 ויהי כהכין מלכות רחבעם וכחזקתו עזב את תורת יהוה וכל ישראל עמו פ (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD,
- La cinquième année du règne de Roboam, Schischak, roi d'Égypte, monta contre Jérusalem, parce qu'ils avaient péché contre l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ πέμπτω̨ ἔτει τη̃ς βασιλείας Ροβοαμ ἀνέβη Σουσακιμ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ ὅτι ἥμαρτον ἐναντίον κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Anno autem quinto regni Roboam, ascendit Sesac rex Ægypti in Jerusalem (quia peccaverant Domino) (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃12 ויהי בשנה החמישית למלך רחבעם עלה שישק מלך מצרים על ירושלם כי מעלו ביהוה (Ⅴ)

With twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubims, the Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
- Il avait mille deux cents chars et soixante mille cavaliers; et il vint d'Égypte avec lui un peuple innombrable, des Libyens, des Sukkiens et des Éthiopiens. (Ⅱ) - ἐν χιλίοις καὶ διακοσίοις ἅρμασιν καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάσιν ἵππων καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν ἀριθμὸς του̃ πλήθους του̃ ἐλθόντος μετ' αὐτου̃ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου Λίβυες Τρωγλοδύται καὶ Αἰθίοπες (Ⅲ) - cum mille ducentis curribus, et sexaginta millibus equitum : nec erat numerus vulgi quod venerat cum eo ex Ægypto, Libyes scilicet, et Troglodytæ, et Æthiopes. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃12 באלף ומאתים רכב ובששים אלף פרשים ואין מספר לעם אשר באו עמו ממצרים לובים סכיים וכושים (Ⅴ)

And he took the fenced cities which pertained to Judah, and came to Jerusalem.
- Il prit les villes fortes qui appartenaient à Juda, et arriva jusqu'à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατεκράτησαν τω̃ν πόλεων τω̃ν ὀχυρω̃ν αἳ ἠ̃σαν ἐν Ιουδα καὶ ἠ̃λθεν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ) - Cepitque civitates munitissimas in Juda, et venit usque in Jerusalem. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃12 וילכד את ערי המצרות אשר ליהודה ויבא עד ירושלם ס (Ⅴ)

Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
- Alors Schemaeja, le prophète, se rendit auprès de Roboam et des chefs de Juda qui s'étaient retirés dans Jérusalem à l'approche de Schischak, et il leur dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Vous m'avez abandonné; je vous abandonne aussi, et je vous livre entre les mains de Schischak. (Ⅱ) - καὶ Σαμαιας ὁ προφήτης ἠ̃λθεν πρὸς Ροβοαμ καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἄρχοντας Ιουδα τοὺς συναχθέντας εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ἀπὸ προσώπου Σουσακιμ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς οὕτως εἰ̃πεν κύριος ὑμει̃ς ἐγκατελίπετέ με κἀγὼ ἐγκαταλείψω ὑμα̃ς ἐν χειρὶ Σουσακιμ (Ⅲ) - Semeias autem propheta ingressus est ad Roboam, et principes Juda qui congregati fuerant in Jerusalem, fugientes Sesac : dixitque ad eos : Hæc dicit Dominus : Vos reliquistis me, et ego reliqui vos in manu Sesac. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃12 ושמעיה הנביא בא אל רחבעם ושרי יהודה אשר נאספו אל ירושלם מפני שישק ויאמר להם כה אמר יהוה אתם עזבתם אתי ואף אני עזבתי אתכם ביד שישק (Ⅴ)

Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD is righteous.
- Les chefs d'Israël et le roi s'humilièrent et dirent: L'Éternel est juste! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̨σχύνθησαν οἱ ἄρχοντες Ισραηλ καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ εἰ̃παν δίκαιος ὁ κύριος (Ⅲ) - Consternatique principes Israël et rex, dixerunt : Justus est Dominus. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃12 ויכנעו שרי ישראל והמלך ויאמרו צדיק יהוה (Ⅴ)

And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
- Et quand l'Éternel vit qu'ils s'humiliaient, la parole de l'Éternel fut ainsi adressée à Schemaeja: Ils se sont humiliés, je ne les détruirai pas, je ne tarderai pas à les secourir, et ma colère ne se répandra pas sur Jérusalem par Schischak; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ἰδει̃ν κύριον ὅτι ἐνετράπησαν καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Σαμαιαν λέγων ἐνετράπησαν οὐ καταφθερω̃ αὐτούς καὶ δώσω αὐτοὺς ὡς μικρὸν εἰς σωτηρίαν καὶ οὐ μὴ στάξη̨ ὁ θυμός μου ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ) - Cumque vidisset Dominus quod humiliati essent, factus est sermo Domini ad Semeiam, dicens : Quia humiliati sunt, non disperdam eos, daboque eis pauxillum auxilii, et non stillabit furor meus super Jerusalem per manum Sesac. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃12 ובראות יהוה כי נכנעו היה דבר יהוה[c] אל שמעיה לאמר נכנעו לא אשחיתם ונתתי להם כמעט לפליטה ולא תתך חמתי בירושלם ביד שישק (Ⅴ)

Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.
- mais ils lui seront assujettis, et ils sauront ce que c'est que me servir ou servir les royaumes des autres pays. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ἔσονται εἰς παι̃δας καὶ γνώσονται τὴν δουλείαν μου καὶ τὴν δουλείαν τη̃ς βασιλείας τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Verumtamen servient ei, ut sciant distantiam servitutis meæ, et servitutis regni terrarum. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃12 כי יהיו לו לעבדים וידעו עבודתי ועבודת ממלכות הארצות ס (Ⅴ)

So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
- Schischak, roi d'Égypte, monta contre Jérusalem. Il prit les trésors de la maison de l'Éternel et les trésors de la maison du roi, il prit tout. Il prit les boucliers d'or que Salomon avait faits. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέβη Σουσακιμ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἔλαβεν τοὺς θησαυροὺς τοὺς ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου καὶ τοὺς θησαυροὺς τοὺς ἐν οἴκω̨ του̃ βασιλέως τὰ πάντα ἔλαβεν καὶ ἔλαβεν τοὺς θυρεοὺς τοὺς χρυσου̃ς οὓς ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων (Ⅲ) - Recessit itaque Sesac rex Ægypti ab Jerusalem, sublatis thesauris domus Domini et domus regis : omniaque secum tulit, et clypeos aureos quos fecerat Salomon : (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃12 ויעל שישק מלך מצרים על ירושלם ויקח את אצרות בית יהוה ואת אצרות בית המלך את הכל לקח ויקח את מגני הזהב אשר עשה שלמה (Ⅴ)

Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the guard, that kept the entrance of the king's house.
- Le roi Roboam fit à leur place des boucliers d'airain, et il les remit aux soins des chefs des coureurs, qui gardaient l'entrée de la maison du roi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐποίησεν Ροβοαμ θυρεοὺς χαλκου̃ς ἀντ' αὐτω̃ν καὶ κατέστησεν ἐπ' αὐτὸν Σουσακιμ ἄρχοντας παρατρεχόντων τοὺς φυλάσσοντας τὸν πυλω̃να του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ) - pro quibus fecit rex æneos, et tradidit illos principibus scutariorum, qui custodiebant vestibulum palatii. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃12 ויעש המלך רחבעם תחתיהם מגני נחשת והפקיד על יד שרי הרצים השמרים פתח בית המלך (Ⅴ)

And when the king entered into the house of the LORD, the guard came and fetched them, and brought them again into the guard chamber.
- Toutes les fois que le roi allait à la maison de l'Éternel, les coureurs venaient et les portaient; puis ils les rapportaient dans la chambre des coureurs. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ εἰσελθει̃ν τὸν βασιλέα εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου εἰσεπορεύοντο οἱ φυλάσσοντες καὶ οἱ παρατρέχοντες καὶ οἱ ἐπιστρέφοντες εἰς ἀπάντησιν τω̃ν παρατρεχόντων (Ⅲ) - Cumque introiret rex domum Domini, veniebant scutarii et tollebant eos, iterumque referebant eos ad armamentarium suum. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃12 ויהי מדי בוא המלך בית יהוה באו הרצים ונשאום והשבום אל תא הרצים (Ⅴ)

And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
- Comme Roboam s'était humilié, l'Éternel détourna de lui sa colère et ne le détruisit pas entièrement. Et il y avait encore de bonnes choses en Juda. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ἐντραπη̃ναι αὐτὸν ἀπεστράφη ἀπ' αὐτου̃ ὀργὴ κυρίου καὶ οὐκ εἰς καταφθορὰν εἰς τέλος καὶ γὰρ ἐν Ιουδα ἠ̃σαν λόγοι ἀγαθοί (Ⅲ) - Verumtamen quia humiliati sunt, aversa est ab eis ira Domini, nec deleti sunt penitus : siquidem et in Juda inventa sunt opera bona. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃12 ובהכנעו שב ממנו אף יהוה ולא להשחית לכלה וגם ביהודה היה דברים טובים ס (Ⅴ)

So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
- Le roi Roboam s'affermit dans Jérusalem et régna. Il avait quarante et un ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna dix-sept ans à Jérusalem, la ville que l'Éternel avait choisie sur toutes les tribus d'Israël pour y mettre son nom. Sa mère s'appelait Naama, l'Ammonite. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατίσχυσεν Ροβοαμ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν καὶ τεσσαράκοντα καὶ ἑνὸς ἐτω̃ν Ροβοαμ ἐν τω̨̃ βασιλευ̃σαι αὐτὸν καὶ ἑπτακαίδεκα ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἐν τη̨̃ πόλει ἡ̨̃ ἐξελέξατο κύριος ἐπονομάσαι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ ἐκει̃ ἐκ πασω̃ν φυλω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ καὶ ὄνομα τη̃ς μητρὸς αὐτου̃ Νοομμα ἡ Αμμανι̃τις (Ⅲ) - Confortatus est ergo rex Roboam in Jerusalem, atque regnavit : quadraginta autem et unius anni erat cum regnare cœpisset, et decem et septem annis regnavit in Jerusalem, urbe quam elegit Dominus ut confirmaret nomen suum ibi, de cunctis tribubus Israël : nomen autem matris ejus Naama Ammanitis. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃12 ויתחזק המלך רחבעם בירושלם וימלך כי בן ארבעים ואחת שנה רחבעם במלכו ושבע עשרה שנה מלך בירושלם העיר אשר בחר יהוה לשום את שמו שם מכל שבטי ישראל ושם אמו נעמה העמנית (Ⅴ)

And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.
- Il fit le mal, parce qu'il n'appliqua pas son coeur à chercher l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ πονηρόν ὅτι οὐ κατεύθυνεν τὴν καρδίαν αὐτου̃ ἐκζητη̃σαι τὸν κύριον (Ⅲ) - Fecit autem malum, et non præparavit cor suum ut quæreret Dominum.\ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃12 ויעש הרע כי לא הכין לבו לדרוש את יהוה ס (Ⅴ)

Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
- Les actions de Roboam, les premières et les dernières, ne sont-elles pas écrites dans les livres de Schemaeja, le prophète et d'Iddo, le prophète, parmi les registres généalogiques? Il y eut toujours guerre entre Roboam et Jéroboam. (Ⅱ) - καὶ λόγοι Ροβοαμ οἱ πρω̃τοι καὶ οἱ ἔσχατοι οὐκ ἰδοὺ γεγραμμένοι ἐν τοι̃ς λόγοις Σαμαια του̃ προφήτου καὶ Αδδω του̃ ὁρω̃ντος καὶ πράξεις αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπολέμει Ροβοαμ τὸν Ιεροβοαμ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας (Ⅲ) - Opera vero Roboam prima et novissima scripta sunt in libris Semeiæ prophetæ, et Addo videntis, et diligenter exposita : pugnaveruntque adversum se Roboam et Jeroboam cunctis diebus. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃12 ודברי רחבעם הראשנים והאחרונים הלא הם כתובים בדברי שמעיה הנביא ועדו החזה להתיחש ומלחמות רחבעם וירבעם כל הימים (Ⅴ)

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Abijah his son reigned in his stead.
- Roboam se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré dans la ville de David. Et Abija, son fils, régna à sa place. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ροβοαμ καὶ ἐτάφη μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Αβια υἱὸς αὐτου̃ ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et dormivit Roboam cum patribus suis, sepultusque est in civitate David : et regnavit Abia filius ejus pro eo. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃12 וישכב רחבעם עם אבתיו ויקבר בעיר דויד וימלך אביה בנו תחתיו פ (Ⅴ)
