15. 1  
And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
- L'esprit de Dieu fut sur Azaria, fils d'Obed, (Ⅱ)
- καὶ Αζαριας υἱὸς Ωδηδ ἐγένετο ἐπ' αὐτὸν πνευ̃μα κυρίου (Ⅲ)
- Azarias autem filius Oded, facto in se spiritu Dei, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃15  ועזריהו בן עודד היתה עליו רוח אלהים ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 2  
And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
- et Azaria alla au-devant d'Asa et lui dit: Écoutez-moi, Asa, et tout Juda et Benjamin! L'Éternel est avec vous quand vous êtes avec lui; si vous le cherchez, vous le trouverez; mais si vous l'abandonnez, il vous abandonnera. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν εἰς ἀπάντησιν Ασα καὶ παντὶ Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἀκούσατέ μου Ασα καὶ πα̃ς Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν κύριος μεθ' ὑμω̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ εἰ̃ναι ὑμα̃ς μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐὰν ἐκζητήσητε αὐτόν εὑρεθήσεται ὑμι̃ν καὶ ἐὰν ἐγκαταλίπητε αὐτόν ἐγκαταλείψει ὑμα̃ς (Ⅲ)
- egressus est in occursum Asa, et dixit ei : Audite me, Asa, et omnis Juda et Benjamin : Dominus vobiscum, quia fuistis cum eo. Si quæsieritis eum, invenietis : si autem dereliqueritis eum, derelinquet vos. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃15  ויצא לפני אסא ויאמר לו שמעוני אסא וכל יהודה ובנימן יהוה עמכם בהיותכם עמו ואם תדרשהו ימצא לכם ואם תעזבהו יעזב אתכם ס‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 3  
Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
- Pendant longtemps il n'y a eu pour Israël ni vrai Dieu, ni sacrificateur qui enseignât, ni loi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἡμέραι πολλαὶ τω̨̃ Ισραηλ ἐν οὐ θεω̨̃ ἀληθινω̨̃ καὶ οὐχ ἱερέως ὑποδεικνύοντος καὶ ἐν οὐ νόμω̨ (Ⅲ)
- Transibant autem multi dies in Israël absque Deo vero, et absque sacerdote doctore, et absque lege. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃15  וימים רבים לישראל ללא אלהי אמת וללא כהן מורה וללא תורה ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 4  
But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
- Mais au sein de leur détresse ils sont retournés à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, ils l'ont cherché, et ils l'ont trouvé. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἐπὶ κύριον θεὸν Ισραηλ καὶ εὑρεθήσεται αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Cumque reversi fuerint in angustia sua ad Dominum Deum Israël, et quæsierint eum, reperient eum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃15  וישב בצר לו על יהוה אלהי ישראל ויבקשהו וימצא להם ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 5  
And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
- Dans ces temps-là, point de sécurité pour ceux qui allaient et venaient, car il y avait de grands troubles parmi tous les habitants du pays; (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐν ἐκείνω̨ τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ οὐκ ἔστιν εἰρήνη τω̨̃ ἐκπορευομένω̨ καὶ τω̨̃ εἰσπορευομένω̨ ὅτι ἔκστασις κυρίου ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας τὰς χώρας (Ⅲ)
- In tempore illo, non erit pax egredienti et ingredienti, sed terrores undique in cunctis habitatoribus terrarum : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃15  ובעתים ההם אין שלום ליוצא ולבא כי מהומת רבות על כל יושבי הארצות ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 6  
And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
- on se heurtait peuple contre peuple, ville contre ville, parce que Dieu les agitait par toutes sortes d'angoisses. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ πολεμήσει ἔθνος πρὸς ἔθνος καὶ πόλις πρὸς πόλιν ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἐξέστησεν αὐτοὺς ἐν πάση̨ θλίψει (Ⅲ)
- pugnavit enim gens contra gentem, et civitas contra civitatem, quia Dominus conturbabit eos in omni angustia. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃15  וכתתו גוי בגוי ועיר בעיר כי אלהים הממם בכל צרה ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 7  
Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
- Vous donc, fortifiez-vous, et ne laissez pas vos mains s'affaiblir, car il y aura un salaire pour vos oeuvres. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὑμει̃ς ἰσχύσατε καὶ μὴ ἐκλυέσθωσαν αἱ χει̃ρες ὑμω̃ν ὅτι ἔστιν μισθὸς τη̨̃ ἐργασία̨ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Vos ergo confortamini, et non dissolvantur manus vestræ : erit enim merces operi vestro. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃15  ואתם חזקו ואל ירפו ידיכם כי יש שכר לפעלתכם ס‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 8  
And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
- Après avoir entendu ces paroles et la prophétie d'Obed le prophète, Asa se fortifia et fit disparaître les abominations de tout le pays de Juda et de Benjamin et des villes qu'il avait prises dans la montagne d'Éphraïm, et il restaura l'autel de l'Éternel qui était devant le portique de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ἀκου̃σαι τοὺς λόγους τούτους καὶ τὴν προφητείαν Αδαδ του̃ προφήτου καὶ κατίσχυσεν καὶ ἐξέβαλεν τὰ βδελύγματα ἀπὸ πάσης τη̃ς γη̃ς Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν πόλεων ὡ̃ν κατέσχεν ἐν ὄρει Εφραιμ καὶ ἐνεκαίνισεν τὸ θυσιαστήριον κυρίου ὃ ἠ̃ν ἔμπροσθεν του̃ ναου̃ κυρίου (Ⅲ)
- Quod cum audisset Asa, verba scilicet, et prophetiam Azariæ filii Oded prophetæ, confortatus est, et abstulit idola de omni terra Juda et de Benjamin, et ex urbibus quas ceperat, montis Ephraim : et dedicavit altare Domini quod erat ante porticum Domini. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃15  וכשמע אסא הדברים האלה והנבואה עדד הנביא התחזק ויעבר השקוצים מכל ארץ יהודה ובנימן ומן הערים אשר לכד מהר אפרים ויחדש את מזבח יהוה אשר לפני אולם יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 9  
And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
- Il rassembla tout Juda et Benjamin, et ceux d'Éphraïm, de Manassé et de Siméon qui habitaient parmi eux, car un grand nombre de gens d'Israël se joignirent à lui lorsqu'ils virent que l'Éternel, son Dieu, était avec lui. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐξεκκλησίασεν τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ τοὺς προσηλύτους τοὺς παροικου̃ντας μετ' αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ Εφραιμ καὶ ἀπὸ Μανασση καὶ ἀπὸ Συμεων ὅτι προσετέθησαν πρὸς αὐτὸν πολλοὶ του̃ Ισραηλ ἐν τω̨̃ ἰδει̃ν αὐτοὺς ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτου̃ μετ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Congregavitque universum Judam et Benjamin, et advenas cum eis de Ephraim, et de Manasse, et de Simeon : plures enim ad eum confugerant ex Israël, videntes quod Dominus Deus illius esset cum eo. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃15  ויקבץ את כל יהודה ובנימן והגרים עמהם מאפרים ומנשה ומשמעון כי נפלו עליו מישראל לרב בראתם כי יהוה אלהיו עמו פ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 10  
So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
- Ils s'assemblèrent à Jérusalem le troisième mois de la quinzième année du règne d'Asa. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ συνήχθησαν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ἐν τω̨̃ μηνὶ τω̨̃ τρίτω̨ ἐν τω̨̃ πεντεκαιδεκάτω̨ ἔτει τη̃ς βασιλείας Ασα (Ⅲ)
- Cumque venissent in Jerusalem mense tertio, anno decimoquinto regni Asa, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃15  ויקבצו ירושלם בחדש השלישי לשנת חמש עשרה למלכות אסא ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 11  
And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
- Ce jour-là, ils sacrifièrent à l'Éternel, sur le butin qu'ils avaient amené, sept cents boeufs et sept mille brebis. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔθυσεν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐν ἐκείνη̨ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἀπὸ τω̃ν σκύλων ὡ̃ν ἤνεγκαν μόσχους ἑπτακοσίους καὶ πρόβατα ἑπτακισχίλια (Ⅲ)
- immolaverunt Domino in die illa de manubiis et præda quam adduxerant, boves septingentos, et arietes septem millia. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃15  ויזבחו ליהוה ביום ההוא מן השלל הביאו בקר שבע מאות וצאן שבעת אלפים ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 12  
And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
- Ils prirent l'engagement de chercher l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, de tout leur coeur et de toute leur âme; (Ⅱ)
- καὶ διη̃λθεν ἐν διαθήκη̨ ζητη̃σαι κύριον θεὸν τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτω̃ν ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς καρδίας καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Et intravit ex more ad corroborandum fœdus ut quærerent Dominum Deum patrum suorum in toto corde, et in tota anima sua. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃15  ויבאו בברית לדרוש את יהוה אלהי אבותיהם בכל לבבם ובכל נפשם ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 13  
That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
- et quiconque ne chercherait pas l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, devait être mis à mort, petit ou grand, homme ou femme. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ πα̃ς ὃς ἐὰν μὴ ἐκζητήση̨ κύριον θεὸν Ισραηλ ἀποθανει̃ται ἀπὸ νεωτέρου ἕως πρεσβυτέρου ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς ἕως γυναικός (Ⅲ)
- Si quis autem, inquit, non quæsierit Dominum Deum Israël, moriatur, a minimo usque ad maximum, a viro usque ad mulierem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃15  וכל אשר לא ידרש ליהוה אלהי ישראל יומת למן קטן ועד גדול למאיש ועד אשה ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 14  
And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
- Ils jurèrent fidélité à l'Éternel à voix haute, avec des cris de joie, et au son des trompettes et des cors; (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὤμοσαν ἐν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐν φωνη̨̃ μεγάλη̨ καὶ ἐν σάλπιγξιν καὶ ἐν κερατίναις (Ⅲ)
- Juraveruntque Domino voce magna in jubilo, et in clangore tubæ, et in sonitu buccinarum, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃15  וישבעו ליהוה בקול גדול ובתרועה ובחצצרות ובשופרות ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 15  
And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
- tout Juda se réjouit de ce serment, car ils avaient juré de tout leur coeur, ils avaient cherché l'Éternel de plein gré, et ils l'avaient trouvé, et l'Éternel leur donna du repos de tous côtés. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ηὐφράνθησαν πα̃ς Ιουδα περὶ του̃ ὅρκου ὅτι ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς ὤμοσαν καὶ ἐν πάση̨ θελήσει ἐζήτησαν αὐτόν καὶ εὑρέθη αὐτοι̃ς καὶ κατέπαυσεν αὐτοι̃ς κύριος κυκλόθεν (Ⅲ)
- omnes qui erant in Juda, cum execratione : in omni enim corde suo juraverunt, et in tota voluntate quæsierunt eum, et invenerunt : præstititque eis Dominus requiem per circuitum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃15  וישמחו כל יהודה על השבועה כי בכל לבבם נשבעו ובכל רצונם בקשהו וימצא להם וינח יהוה להם מסביב ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 16  
And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
- Le roi Asa enleva même à Maaca, sa mère, la dignité de reine, parce qu'elle avait fait une idole pour Astarté. Asa abattit son idole, qu'il réduisit en poussière, et la brûla au torrent de Cédron. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τὴν Μααχα τὴν μητέρα αὐτου̃ μετέστησεν του̃ μὴ εἰ̃ναι τη̨̃ 'Αστάρτη̨ λειτουργου̃σαν καὶ κατέκοψεν τὸ εἴδωλον καὶ κατέκαυσεν ἐν χειμάρρω̨ Κεδρων (Ⅲ)
- Sed et Maacham matrem Asa regis ex augusto deposuit imperio, eo quod fecisset in luco simulacrum Priapi : quod omne contrivit, et in frustra comminuens combussit in torrente Cedron. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃15  וגם מעכה אם אסא המלך הסירה מגבירה אשר עשתה לאשרה מפלצת ויכרת אסא את מפלצתה וידק וישרף בנחל קדרון ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 17  
But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
- Mais les hauts lieux ne disparurent point d'Israël, quoique le coeur d'Asa fût en entier à l'Éternel pendant toute sa vie. (Ⅱ)
- πλὴν τὰ ὑψηλὰ οὐκ ἀπέστησαν ἔτι ὑπη̃ρχεν ἐν τω̨̃ Ισραηλ ἀλλ' ἢ καρδία Ασα ἐγένετο πλήρης πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Excelsa autem derelicta sunt in Israël : attamen cor Asa erat perfectum cunctis diebus ejus, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃15  והבמות לא סרו מישראל רק לבב אסא היה שלם כל ימיו ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 18  
And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
- Il mit dans la maison de Dieu les choses consacrées par son père et par lui-même, de l'argent, de l'or et des vases. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν τὰ ἅγια Δαυιδ του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ τὰ ἅγια οἴκου κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον καὶ σκεύη (Ⅲ)
- eaque quæ voverat pater suus, et ipse, intulit in domum Domini, argentum, et aurum, vasorumque diversam supellectilem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃15  ויבא את קדשי אביו וקדשיו בית האלהים כסף וזהב וכלים ‬ (Ⅴ)
15. 19  
And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
- Il n'y eut point de guerre jusqu'à la trente-cinquième année du règne d'Asa. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ πόλεμος οὐκ ἠ̃ν μετ' αὐτου̃ ἕως του̃ πέμπτου καὶ τριακοστου̃ ἔτους τη̃ς βασιλείας Ασα (Ⅲ)
- Bellum vero non fuit usque ad trigesimum quintum annum regni Asa. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃15  ומלחמה לא היתה עד שנת שלשים וחמש למלכות אסא ס‬ (Ⅴ)
