35. 1

Moreover Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

- Josias célébra la Pâque en l'honneur de l'Éternel à Jérusalem, et l'on immola la Pâque le quatorzième jour du premier mois. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν Ιωσιας τὸ φασεχ τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θεω̨̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔθυσαν τὸ φασεχ τη̨̃ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτη̨ του̃ μηνὸς του̃ πρώτου (Ⅲ)

- Fecit autem Josias in Jerusalem Phase Domino, quod immolatum est quartadecima die mensis primi : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃35 ויעש יאשיהו בירושלם פסח ליהוה וישחטו הפסח בארבעה עשר לחדש הראשון ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 2

And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD,

- Il établit les sacrificateurs dans leurs fonctions, et les encouragea au service de la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔστησεν τοὺς ἱερει̃ς ἐπὶ τὰς φυλακὰς αὐτω̃ν καὶ κατίσχυσεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὰ ἔργα οἴκου κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- et constituit sacerdotes in officiis suis, hortatusque est eos ut ministrarent in domo Domini : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃35 ויעמד הכהנים על משמרותם ויחזקם לעבודת בית יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 3

And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,

- Il dit aux Lévites qui enseignaient tout Israël et qui étaient consacrés à l'Éternel: Placez l'arche sainte dans la maison qu'a bâtie Salomon, fils de David, roi d'Israël; vous n'avez plus à la porter sur l'épaule. Servez maintenant l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et son peuple d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν τοι̃ς Λευίταις τοι̃ς δυνατοι̃ς ἐν παντὶ Ισραηλ του̃ ἁγιασθη̃ναι αὐτοὺς τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ ἔθηκαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τὴν ἁγίαν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον ὃν ὠ̨κοδόμησεν Σαλωμων υἱὸς Δαυιδ του̃ βασιλέως Ισραηλ καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεύς οὐκ ἔστιν ὑμι̃ν ἀ̃ραι ἐπ' ὤμων οὐθέν νυ̃ν οὐ̃ν λειτουργήσατε τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θεω̨̃ ὑμω̃ν καὶ τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ αὐτου̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Levitis quoque, ad quorum eruditionem omnis Israël sanctificabatur Domino, locutus est : Ponite arcam in sanctuario templi, quod ædificavit Salomon filius David rex Israël, nequaquam enim eam ultra portabitis : nunc autem ministrate Domino Deo vestro, et populo ejus Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃35 ויאמר ללוים *המבונים **המבינים לכל ישראל הקדושים ליהוה תנו את ארון הקדש בבית אשר בנה שלמה בן דויד מלך ישראל אין לכם משא בכתף עתה עבדו את יהוה אלהיכם ואת עמו ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 4

And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.

- Tenez-vous prêts, selon vos maisons paternelles, selon vos divisions, comme l'ont réglé par écrit David, roi d'Israël, et Salomon, son fils; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἑτοιμάσθητε κατ' οἴκους πατριω̃ν ὑμω̃ν καὶ κατὰ τὰς ἐφημερίας ὑμω̃ν κατὰ τὴν γραφὴν Δαυιδ βασιλέως Ισραηλ καὶ διὰ χειρὸς Σαλωμων υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et præparate vos per domos et cognationes vestras in divisionibus singulorum, sicut præcepit David rex Israël, et descripsit Salomon filius ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃35 והכונו‪[n]‬‪[q]‬ לבית אבותיכם כמחלקותיכם בכתב דויד מלך ישראל ובמכתב שלמה בנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 5

And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.

- occupez vos places dans le sanctuaire, d'après les différentes maisons paternelles de vos frères les fils du peuple, et d'après la classification des maisons paternelles des Lévites. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ στη̃τε ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ κατὰ τὰς διαιρέσεις οἴκων πατριω̃ν ὑμω̃ν τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς ὑμω̃ν υἱοι̃ς του̃ λαου̃ καὶ μερὶς οἴκου πατρια̃ς τοι̃ς Λευίταις (Ⅲ)

- Et ministrate in sanctuario per familias turmasque Leviticas, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃35 ועמדו בקדש לפלגות בית האבות לאחיכם בני העם וחלקת בית אב ללוים ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 6

So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

- Immolez la Pâque, sanctifiez-vous, et préparez-la pour vos frères, en vous conformant à la parole de l'Éternel prononcée par Moïse. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ θύσατε τὸ φασεχ καὶ τὰ ἅγια ἑτοιμάσατε τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς ὑμω̃ν του̃ ποιη̃σαι κατὰ τὸν λόγον κυρίου διὰ χειρὸς Μωυση̃ (Ⅲ)

- et sanctificati immolate Phase : fratres etiam vestros, ut possint juxta verba quæ locutus est Dominus in manu Moysi facere, præparate. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃35 ושחטו הפסח והתקדשו והכינו לאחיכם לעשות כדבר יהוה ביד משה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 7

And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king's substance.

- Josias donna aux gens du peuple, à tous ceux qui se trouvaient là, des agneaux et des chevreaux au nombre de trente mille, le tout pour la Pâque, et trois mille boeufs; cela fut pris sur les biens du roi. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπήρξατο Ιωσιας τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς του̃ λαου̃ πρόβατα καὶ ἀμνοὺς καὶ ἐρίφους ἀπὸ τω̃ν τέκνων τω̃ν αἰγω̃ν πάντα εἰς τὸ φασεχ εἰς πάντας τοὺς εὑρεθέντας εἰς ἀριθμὸν τριάκοντα χιλιάδας καὶ μόσχων τρει̃ς χιλιάδας ταυ̃τα ἀπὸ τη̃ς ὑπάρξεως του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ)

- Dedit præterea Josias omni populo qui ibi fuerat inventus in solemnitate Phase, agnos et hædos de gregibus et reliqui pecoris triginta millia, boum quoque tria millia : hæc de regis universa substantia. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃35 וירם יאשיהו לבני העם צאן כבשים ובני עזים הכל לפסחים לכל הנמצא למספר שלשים אלף ובקר שלשת אלפים אלה מרכוש המלך ס‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 8

And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle and three hundred oxen.

- Ses chefs firent de bon gré un présent au peuple, aux sacrificateurs et aux Lévites. Hilkija, Zacharie, et Jehiel, princes de la maison de Dieu, donnèrent aux sacrificateurs pour la Pâque deux mille six cents agneaux et trois cents boeufs. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτου̃ ἀπήρξαντο τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ καὶ τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σιν καὶ Λευίταις ἔδωκεν Χελκιας καὶ Ζαχαριας καὶ Ιιηλ οἱ ἄρχοντες οἴκου του̃ θεου̃ τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σιν καὶ ἔδωκαν εἰς τὸ φασεχ πρόβατα καὶ ἀμνοὺς καὶ ἐρίφους δισχίλια ἑξακόσια καὶ μόσχους τριακοσίους (Ⅲ)

- Duces quoque ejus sponte quod voverant, obtulerunt, tam populo quam sacerdotibus et Levitis. Porro Helcias, et Zacharias, et Jahiel principes domus Domini dederunt sacerdotibus ad faciendum Phase pecora commixtim duo millia sexcenta, et boves trecentos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃35 ושריו לנדבה לעם לכהנים וללוים הרימו חלקיה וזכריהו ויחיאל נגידי בית האלהים לכהנים נתנו לפסחים אלפים ושש מאות ובקר שלש מאות ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 9

Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen.

- Conania, Schemaeja et Nethaneel, ses frères, Haschabia, Jeïel et Jozabad, chefs des Lévites, donnèrent aux Lévites pour la Pâque cinq mille agneaux et cinq cents boeufs. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Χωνενιας καὶ Βαναιας καὶ Σαμαιας καὶ Ναθαναηλ ἀδελφὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ Ασαβια καὶ Ιιηλ καὶ Ιωζαβαδ ἄρχοντες τω̃ν Λευιτω̃ν ἀπήρξαντο τοι̃ς Λευίταις εἰς τὸ φασεχ πρόβατα πεντακισχίλια καὶ μόσχους πεντακοσίους (Ⅲ)

- Chonenias autem, et Semeias, etiam Nathanaël fratres ejus, necnon Hasabias, et Jehiel, et Jozabad principes Levitarum, dederunt ceteris Levitis ad celebrandum Phase quinque millia pecorum, et boves quingentos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃35 *וכונניהו **וכנניהו ושמעיהו ונתנאל אחיו וחשביהו ויעיאל ויוזבד שרי הלוים הרימו ללוים לפסחים חמשת אלפים ובקר חמש מאות ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 10

So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king's commandment.

- Le service s'organisa, et les sacrificateurs et les Lévites occupèrent leur place, selon leurs divisions, d'après l'ordre du roi. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ κατωρθώθη ἡ λειτουργία καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ ἱερει̃ς ἐπὶ τὴν στάσιν αὐτω̃ν καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται ἐπὶ τὰς διαιρέσεις αὐτω̃ν κατὰ τὴν ἐντολὴν του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ)

- Præparatumque est ministerium, et steterunt sacerdotes in officio suo : Levitæ quoque in turmis, juxta regis imperium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃35 ותכון העבודה ויעמדו הכהנים על עמדם והלוים על מחלקותם כמצות המלך ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 11

And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hands, and the Levites flayed them.

- Ils immolèrent la Pâque; les sacrificateurs répandirent le sang qu'ils recevaient de la main des Lévites, et les Lévites dépouillèrent les victimes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔθυσαν τὸ φασεχ καὶ προσέχεαν οἱ ἱερει̃ς τὸ αἱ̃μα ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτω̃ν καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται ἐξέδειραν (Ⅲ)

- Et immolatum est Phase : asperseruntque sacerdotes manu sua sanguinem, et Levitæ detraxerunt pelles holocaustorum : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃35 וישחטו הפסח ויזרקו הכהנים מידם והלוים מפשיטים ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 12

And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the LORD, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.

- Ils mirent à part les holocaustes pour les donner aux différentes maisons paternelles des gens du peuple, afin qu'ils les offrissent à l'Éternel, comme il est écrit dans le livre de Moïse; et de même pour les boeufs. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἡτοίμασαν τὴν ὁλοκαύτωσιν παραδου̃ναι αὐτοι̃ς κατὰ τὴν διαίρεσιν κατ' οἴκους πατριω̃ν τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς του̃ λαου̃ του̃ προσάγειν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ὡς γέγραπται ἐν βιβλίω̨ Μωυση̃ καὶ οὕτως εἰς τὸ πρωί (Ⅲ)

- et separaverunt ea ut darent per domos et familias singulorum, et offerrentur Domino, sicut scriptum est in libro Moysi : de bobus quoque fecerunt similiter. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃35 ויסירו העלה לתתם למפלגות לבית אבות לבני העם להקריב ליהוה ככתוב בספר משה וכן לבקר ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 13

And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the people.

- Ils firent cuire la Pâque au feu, selon l'ordonnance, et ils firent cuire les choses saintes dans des chaudières, des chaudrons et des poêles; et ils s'empressèrent de les distribuer à tout le peuple. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὤπτησαν τὸ φασεχ ἐν πυρὶ κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν καὶ τὰ ἅγια ἥψησαν ἐν τοι̃ς χαλκείοις καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς λέβησιν καὶ εὐοδώθη καὶ ἔδραμον πρὸς πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς του̃ λαου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et assaverunt Phase super ignem, juxta quod in lege scriptum est : pacificas vero hostias coxerunt in lebetibus, et cacabis, et ollis, et festinato distribuerunt universæ plebi : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃35 ויבשלו הפסח באש כמשפט והקדשים בשלו בסירות ובדודים ובצלחות ויריצו לכל בני העם ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 14

And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.

- Ensuite ils préparèrent ce qui était pour eux et pour les sacrificateurs, car les sacrificateurs, fils d'Aaron, furent occupés jusqu'à la nuit à offrir les holocaustes et les graisses; c'est pourquoi les Lévites préparèrent pour eux et pour les sacrificateurs, fils d'Aaron. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ μετὰ τὸ ἑτοιμάσαι αὐτοι̃ς καὶ τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σιν ὅτι οἱ ἱερει̃ς ἐν τω̨̃ ἀναφέρειν τὰ στέατα καὶ τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα ἕως νυκτός καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται ἡτοίμασαν αὑτοι̃ς καὶ τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν υἱοι̃ς Ααρων (Ⅲ)

- sibi autem et sacerdotibus postea paraverunt, nam in oblatione holocaustorum et adipum usque ad noctem sacerdotes fuerunt occupati, unde Levitæ sibi et sacerdotibus filiis Aaron paraverunt novissimis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃35 ואחר הכינו להם ולכהנים כי הכהנים בני אהרן בהעלות העולה והחלבים עד לילה והלוים הכינו להם ולכהנים בני אהרן ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 15

And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

- Les chantres, fils d'Asaph, étaient à leur place, selon l'ordre de David, d'Asaph, d'Héman, et de Jeduthun le voyant du roi, et les portiers étaient à chaque porte; ils n'eurent pas à se détourner de leur office, car leurs frères les Lévites préparèrent ce qui était pour eux. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οἱ ψαλτω̨δοὶ υἱοὶ Ασαφ ἐπὶ τη̃ς στάσεως αὐτω̃ν κατὰ τὰς ἐντολὰς Δαυιδ καὶ Ασαφ καὶ Αιμαν καὶ Ιδιθων οἱ προφη̃ται του̃ βασιλέως καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ πύλης καὶ πύλης οὐκ ἠ̃ν αὐτοι̃ς κινει̃σθαι ἀπὸ τη̃ς λειτουργίας ἁγίων ὅτι οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτω̃ν οἱ Λευι̃ται ἡτοίμασαν αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Porro cantores filii Asaph stabant in ordine suo, juxta præceptum David, et Asaph, et Heman, et Idithun prophetarum regis : janitores vero per portas singulas observabant, ita ut nec puncto quidem discederent a ministerio : quam ob rem et fratres eorum Levitæ paraverunt eis cibos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃35 והמשררים בני אסף על מעמדם כמצות דויד ואסף והימן וידתון חוזה המלך והשערים לשער ושער‪[1]‬ אין להם לסור מעל עבדתם כי אחיהם הלוים הכינו להם ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 16

So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.

- Ainsi fut organisé ce jour-là tout le service de l'Éternel pour faire la Pâque et pour offrir des holocaustes sur l'autel de l'Éternel, d'après l'ordre du roi Josias. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ κατωρθώθη καὶ ἡτοιμάσθη πα̃σα ἡ λειτουργία κυρίου ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ του̃ ποιη̃σαι τὸ φασεχ καὶ ἐνεγκει̃ν τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον κυρίου κατὰ τὴν ἐντολὴν του̃ βασιλέως Ιωσια (Ⅲ)

- Omnis igitur cultura Domini rite completa est in die illa, ut facerent Phase, et offerrent holocausta super altare Domini, juxta præceptum regis Josiæ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃35 ותכון כל עבודת יהוה ביום ההוא לעשות הפסח והעלות עלות על מזבח יהוה כמצות המלך יאשיהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 17

And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

- Les enfants d'Israël qui se trouvaient là célébrèrent la Pâque en ce temps et la fête des pains sans levain pendant sept jours. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ οἱ εὑρεθέντες τὸ φασεχ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ καὶ τὴν ἑορτὴν τω̃ν ἀζύμων ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας (Ⅲ)

- Feceruntque filii Israël, qui reperti fuerant ibi, Phase in tempore illo, et solemnitatem azymorum septem diebus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃35 ויעשו בני ישראל הנמצאים את הפסח בעת ההיא ואת חג המצות שבעת ימים ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 18

And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

- Aucune Pâque pareille à celle-là n'avait été célébrée en Israël depuis les jours de Samuel le prophète; et aucun des rois d'Israël n'avait célébré une Pâque pareille à celle que célébrèrent Josias, les sacrificateurs et les Lévites, tout Juda et Israël qui s'y trouvaient, et les habitants de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἐγένετο φασεχ ὅμοιον αὐτω̨̃ ἐν Ισραηλ ἀπὸ ἡμερω̃ν Σαμουηλ του̃ προφήτου καὶ πάντες βασιλει̃ς Ισραηλ οὐκ ἐποίησαν ὡς τὸ φασεχ ὃ ἐποίησεν Ιωσιας καὶ οἱ ἱερει̃ς καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται καὶ πα̃ς Ιουδα καὶ Ισραηλ ὁ εὑρεθεὶς καὶ οἱ κατοικου̃ντες ἐν Ιερουσαλημ τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Non fuit Phase simile huic in Israël a diebus Samuelis prophetæ : sed nec quisquam de cunctis regibus Israël fecit Phase sicut Josias, sacerdotibus, et Levitis, et omni Judæ et Israël qui repertus fuerat, et habitantibus in Jerusalem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃35 ולא נעשה פסח כמהו בישראל מימי שמואל הנביא וכל מלכי ישראל לא עשו כפסח אשר עשה יאשיהו והכהנים והלוים וכל יהודה וישראל הנמצא ויושבי ירושלם ס‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 19

In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.

- Ce fut la dix-huitième année du règne de Josias que cette Pâque fut célébrée. (Ⅱ)

- τω̨̃ ὀκτωκαιδεκάτω̨ ἔτει τη̃ς βασιλείας Ιωσια (Ⅲ)

- Octavodecimo anno regni Josiæ hoc Phase celebratum est.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃35 בשמונה עשרה שנה למלכות יאשיהו נעשה הפסח הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 20

After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

- Après tout cela, après que Josias eut réparé la maison de l'Éternel, Néco, roi d'Égypte, monta pour combattre à Carkemisch sur l'Euphrate. Josias marcha à sa rencontre; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβη Φαραω Νεχαω βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα 'Ασσυρίων ἐπὶ τὸν ποταμὸν Εὐφράτην καὶ ἐπορεύθη ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιωσιας εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Postquam instauraverat Josias templum, ascendit Nechao rex Ægypti ad pugnandum in Charcamis juxta Euphraten : et processit in occursum ejus Josias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃35 אחרי כל זאת אשר הכין יאשיהו את הבית עלה נכו מלך מצרים להלחם בכרכמיש על פרת ויצא לקראתו יאשיהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 21

But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.

- et Néco lui envoya des messagers pour dire: Qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi, roi de Juda? Ce n'est pas contre toi que je viens aujourd'hui; c'est contre une maison avec laquelle je suis en guerre. Et Dieu m'a dit de me hâter. Ne t'oppose pas à Dieu, qui est avec moi, de peur qu'il ne te détruise. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἀγγέλους λέγων τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί βασιλευ̃ Ιουδα οὐκ ἐπὶ σὲ ἥκω σήμερον πόλεμον ποιη̃σαι καὶ ὁ θεὸς εἰ̃πεν κατασπευ̃σαί με πρόσεχε ἀπὸ του̃ θεου̃ του̃ μετ' ἐμου̃ μὴ καταφθείρη̨ σε (Ⅲ)

- At ille, missis ad eum nuntiis, ait : Quid mihi et tibi est, rex Juda ? non adversum te hodie venio, sed contra aliam pugno domum, ad quam me Deus festinato ire præcepit : desine adversum Deum facere, qui mecum est, ne interficiat te. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃35 וישלח אליו מלאכים לאמר מה לי ולך מלך יהודה לא עליך אתה היום כי אל בית מלחמתי ואלהים אמר לבהלני חדל לך מאלהים אשר עמי ואל ישחיתך ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 22

Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

- Mais Josias ne se détourna point de lui, et il se déguisa pour l'attaquer, sans écouter les paroles de Néco, qui venaient de la bouche de Dieu. Il s'avança pour combattre dans la vallée de Meguiddo. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἀπέστρεψεν Ιωσιας τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ ἀπ' αὐτου̃ ἀλλ' ἢ πολεμει̃ν αὐτὸν ἐκραταιώθη καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσεν τω̃ν λόγων Νεχαω διὰ στόματος θεου̃ καὶ ἠ̃λθεν του̃ πολεμη̃σαι ἐν τω̨̃ πεδίω̨ Μαγεδων (Ⅲ)

- Noluit Josias reverti, sed præparavit contra eum bellum, nec acquievit sermonibus Nechao ex ore Dei : verum perrexit ut dimicaret in campo Mageddo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃35 ולא הסב יאשיהו פניו ממנו כי להלחם בו התחפש ולא שמע אל דברי נכו מפי אלהים ויבא להלחם בבקעת מגדו ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 23

And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.

- Les archers tirèrent sur le roi Josias, et le roi dit à ses serviteurs: Emportez-moi, car je suis gravement blessé. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐτόξευσαν οἱ τοξόται ἐπὶ βασιλέα Ιωσιαν καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τοι̃ς παισὶν αὐτου̃ ἐξαγάγετέ με ὅτι ἐπόνεσα σφόδρα (Ⅲ)

- Ibique vulneratus a sagittariis, dixit pueris suis : Educite me de prælio, quia oppido vulneratus sum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃35 וירו הירים למלך יאשיהו ויאמר המלך לעבדיו העבירוני כי החליתי מאד ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 24

His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

- Ses serviteurs l'emportèrent du char, le mirent dans un second char qui était à lui, et l'amenèrent à Jérusalem. Il mourut, et fut enterré dans le sépulcre de ses pères. Tout Juda et Jérusalem pleurèrent Josias. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξήγαγον αὐτὸν οἱ παι̃δες αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ του̃ ἅρματος καὶ ἀνεβίβασαν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ ἅρμα τὸ δευτερευ̃ον ὃ ἠ̃ν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἀπέθανεν καὶ ἐτάφη μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ καὶ πα̃ς Ιουδα καὶ Ιερουσαλημ ἐπένθησαν ἐπὶ Ιωσιαν (Ⅲ)

- Qui transtulerunt eum de curru in alterum currum, qui sequebatur eum more regio, et asportaverunt eum in Jerusalem : mortuusque est, et sepultus in mausoleo patrum suorum, et universus Juda et Jerusalem luxerunt eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃35 ויעבירהו עבדיו מן המרכבה וירכיבהו על רכב המשנה אשר לו ויוליכהו ירושלם וימת ויקבר בקברות אבתיו וכל יהודה וירושלם מתאבלים על יאשיהו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 25

And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.

- Jérémie fit une complainte sur Josias; tous les chanteurs et toutes les chanteuses ont parlé de Josias dans leurs complaintes jusqu'à ce jour, et en ont établi la coutume en Israël. Ces chants sont écrits dans les Complaintes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐθρήνησεν Ιερεμιας ἐπὶ Ιωσιαν καὶ εἰ̃παν πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες καὶ αἱ ἄρχουσαι θρη̃νον ἐπὶ Ιωσιαν ἕως τη̃ς σήμερον καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτὸν εἰς πρόσταγμα ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἰδοὺ γέγραπται ἐπὶ τω̃ν θρήνων (Ⅲ)

- Jeremias maxime : cujus omnes cantores atque cantatrices, usque in præsentem diem, lamentationes super Josiam replicant, et quasi lex obtinuit in Israël : Ecce scriptum fertur in lamentationibus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃35 ויקונן ירמיהו על יאשיהו ויאמרו כל השרים והשרות בקינותיהם על יאשיהו עד היום ויתנום לחק על ישראל והנם כתובים על הקינות ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 26

Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of the LORD,

- καὶ ἠ̃σαν οἱ λόγοι Ιωσια καὶ ἡ ἐλπὶς αὐτου̃ γεγραμμένα ἐν νόμω̨ κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Reliqua autem sermonum Josiæ, et misericordiarum ejus, quæ lege præcepta sunt Domini, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃35 ויתר דברי יאשיהו וחסדיו ככתוב בתורת יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

35. 27

And his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

- ses premières et ses dernières actions, cela est écrit dans le livre des rois d'Israël et de Juda. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οἱ λόγοι αὐτου̃ οἱ πρω̃τοι καὶ οἱ ἔσχατοι ἰδοὺ γεγραμμένοι ἐπὶ βιβλίω̨ βασιλέων Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- opera quoque illius prima et novissima, scripta sunt in libro regum Juda et Israël. (Ⅳ)
