5. 1

Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

- Ainsi fut achevé tout l'ouvrage que Salomon fit pour la maison de l'Éternel. Puis il apporta l'argent, l'or et tous les ustensiles que David, son père, avait consacrés, et il les mit dans les trésors de la maison de Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ συνετελέσθη πα̃σα ἡ ἐργασία ἣν ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν Σαλωμων τὰ ἅγια Δαυιδ του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ τὸ χρυσίον καὶ τὰ σκεύη ἔδωκεν εἰς θησαυρὸν οἴκου κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Intulit igitur Salomon omnia quæ voverat David pater suus : argentum, et aurum, et universa vasa posuit in thesauris domus Dei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃5 ותשלם כל המלאכה אשר עשה שלמה לבית יהוה סויבא שלמה את קדשי דויד אביו ואת הכסף ואת הזהב ואת כל הכלים נתן באצרות בית האלהים פ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 2

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

- Alors Salomon assembla à Jérusalem les anciens d'Israël et tous les chefs des tribus, les chefs de famille des enfants d'Israël, pour transporter de la cité de David, qui est Sion, l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- τότε ἐξεκκλησίασεν Σαλωμων τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους Ισραηλ καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἄρχοντας τω̃ν φυλω̃ν τοὺς ἡγουμένους πατριω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ του̃ ἀνενέγκαι κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου ἐκ πόλεως Δαυιδ αὕτη Σιων (Ⅲ)

- Post quæ congregavit majores natu Israël, et cunctos principes tribuum, et capita familiarum de filiis Israël in Jerusalem, ut adducerent arcam fœderis Domini de civitate David, quæ est Sion. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃5 אז יקהיל שלמה את זקני ישראל ואת כל ראשי המטות נשיאי האבות לבני ישראל אל ירושלם להעלות את ארון ברית יהוה מעיר דויד היא ציון ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 3

Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.

- Tous les hommes d'Israël se réunirent auprès du roi pour la fête, qui se célébra le septième mois. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξεκκλησιάσθησαν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα πα̃ς ἀνὴρ Ισραηλ ἐν τη̨̃ ἑορτη̨̃ οὑ̃τος ὁ μὴν ἕβδομος (Ⅲ)

- Venerunt itaque ad regem omnes viri Israël in die solemni mensis septimi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃5 ויקהלו אל המלך כל איש ישראל בחג הוא החדש השבעי ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 4

And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

- Lorsque tous les anciens d'Israël furent arrivés, les Lévites portèrent l'arche. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃λθον πάντες οἱ πρεσβύτεροι Ισραηλ καὶ ἔλαβον πάντες οἱ Λευι̃ται τὴν κιβωτὸν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque venissent cuncti seniorum Israël, portaverunt Levitæ arcam, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃5 ויבאו כל זקני ישראל וישאו הלוים את הארון ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 5

And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.

- Ils transportèrent l'arche, la tente d'assignation, et tous les ustensiles sacrés qui étaient dans la tente: ce furent les sacrificateurs et les Lévites qui les transportèrent. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνήνεγκαν τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ τὴν σκηνὴν του̃ μαρτυρίου καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια τὰ ἐν τη̨̃ σκηνη̨̃ καὶ ἀνήνεγκαν αὐτὴν οἱ ἱερει̃ς καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται (Ⅲ)

- et intulerunt eam, et omnem paraturam tabernaculi. Porro vasa sanctuarii, quæ erant in tabernaculo, portaverunt sacerdotes cum Levitis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃5 ויעלו את הארון ואת אהל מועד ואת כל כלי הקדש אשר באהל העלו אתם הכהנים הלוים ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 6

Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

- Le roi Salomon et toute l'assemblée d'Israël convoquée auprès de lui se tinrent devant l'arche. Ils sacrifièrent des brebis et des boeufs, qui ne purent être ni comptés, ni nombrés, à cause de leur multitude. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμων καὶ πα̃σα συναγωγὴ Ισραηλ καὶ οἱ φοβούμενοι καὶ οἱ ἐπισυνηγμένοι αὐτω̃ν ἔμπροσθεν τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ θύοντες μόσχους καὶ πρόβατα οἳ οὐκ ἀριθμηθήσονται καὶ οἳ οὐ λογισθήσονται ἀπὸ του̃ πλήθους (Ⅲ)

- Rex autem Salomon, et universus cœtus Israël, et omnes qui fuerunt congregati ante arcam, immolabant arietes et boves absque ullo numero : tanta enim erat multitudo victimarum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃5 והמלך שלמה וכל עדת ישראל הנועדים עליו לפני הארון מזבחים צאן ובקר אשר לא יספרו ולא ימנו מרב ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 7

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim:

- Les sacrificateurs portèrent l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel à sa place, dans le sanctuaire de la maison, dans le lieu très saint, sous les ailes des chérubins. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰσήνεγκαν οἱ ἱερει̃ς τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτη̃ς εἰς τὸ δαβιρ του̃ οἴκου εἰς τὰ ἅγια τω̃ν ἁγίων ὑποκάτω τω̃ν πτερύγων τω̃ν χερουβιν (Ⅲ)

- Et intulerunt sacerdotes arcam fœderis Domini in locum suum, id est, ad oraculum templi, in Sancta sanctorum subter alas cherubim : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃5 ויביאו הכהנים את ארון ברית יהוה אל מקומו אל דביר הבית אל קדש הקדשים אל תחת כנפי הכרובים ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 8

For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

- Les chérubins avaient les ailes étendues sur la place de l'arche, et ils couvraient l'arche et ses barres par-dessus. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ν τὰ χερουβιν διαπεπετακότα τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτω̃ν ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ καὶ συνεκάλυπτεν τὰ χερουβιν ἐπὶ τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀναφορει̃ς αὐτη̃ς ἐπάνωθεν (Ⅲ)

- ita ut cherubim expanderent alas suas super locum in quo posita erat arca, et ipsam arcam tegerent cum vectibus suis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃5 ויהיו הכרובים פרשים כנפים על מקום הארון ויכסו הכרובים על הארון ועל בדיו מלמעלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 9

And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.

- On avait donné aux barres une longueur telle que leurs extrémités se voyaient à distance de l'arche devant le sanctuaire, mais ne se voyaient point du dehors. L'arche a été là jusqu'à ce jour. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὑπερει̃χον οἱ ἀναφορει̃ς καὶ ἐβλέποντο αἱ κεφαλαὶ τω̃ν ἀναφορέων ἐκ τω̃ν ἁγίων εἰς πρόσωπον του̃ δαβιρ οὐκ ἐβλέποντο ἔξω καὶ ἠ̃σαν ἐκει̃ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης (Ⅲ)

- Vectium autem quibus portabatur arca, quia paululum longiores erant, capita parebant ante oraculum : si vero quis paululum fuisset extrinsecus, eos videre non poterat. Fuit itaque arca ibi usque in præsentem diem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃5 ויאריכו הבדים ויראו ראשי הבדים מן הארון על פני הדביר ולא יראו החוצה ויהי שם עד היום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 10

There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

- Il n'y avait dans l'arche que les deux tables que Moïse y plaça en Horeb, lorsque l'Éternel fit alliance avec les enfants d'Israël, à leur sortie d'Égypte. (Ⅱ)

- οὐκ ἠ̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ κιβωτω̨̃ πλὴν δύο πλάκες ἃς ἔθηκεν Μωυση̃ς ἐν Χωρηβ ἃ διέθετο κύριος μετὰ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξελθει̃ν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου (Ⅲ)

- Nihilque erat aliud in arca, nisi duæ tabulæ quas posuerat Moyses in Horeb, quando legem dedit Dominus filiis Israël egredientibus ex Ægypto. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃5 אין בארון רק שני הלחות אשר נתן משה בחרב אשר כרת יהוה עם בני ישראל בצאתם ממצרים פ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 11

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:

- Au moment où les sacrificateurs sortirent du lieu saint, -car tous les sacrificateurs présents s'étaient sanctifiés sans observer l'ordre des classes, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξελθει̃ν τοὺς ἱερει̃ς ἐκ τω̃ν ἁγίων ὅτι πάντες οἱ ἱερει̃ς οἱ εὑρεθέντες ἡγιάσθησαν οὐκ ἠ̃σαν διατεταγμένοι κατ' ἐφημερίαν (Ⅲ)

- Egressis autem sacerdotibus de sanctuario (omnes enim sacerdotes qui ibi potuerant inveniri, sanctificati sunt : nec adhuc in illo tempore vices et ministeriorum ordo inter eos divisus erat), (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃5 ויהי בצאת הכהנים מן הקדש כי כל הכהנים הנמצאים התקדשו אין לשמור למחלקות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 12

Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

- et tous les Lévites qui étaient chantres, Asaph, Héman, Jeduthun, leurs fils et leurs frères, revêtus de byssus, se tenaient à l'orient de l'autel avec des cymbales, des luths et des harpes, et avaient auprès d'eux cent vingt sacrificateurs sonnant des trompettes, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται οἱ ψαλτω̨δοὶ πάντες τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ασαφ τω̨̃ Αιμαν τω̨̃ Ιδιθουν καὶ τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν τω̃ν ἐνδεδυμένων στολὰς βυσσίνας ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ ἐν νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κινύραις ἑστηκότες κατέναντι του̃ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ μετ' αὐτω̃ν ἱερει̃ς ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι σαλπίζοντες ται̃ς σάλπιγξιν (Ⅲ)

- tam Levitæ quam cantores, id est, et qui sub Asaph erant, et qui sub Eman, et qui sub Idithun, filii et fratres eorum vestiti byssinis, cymbalis, et psalteriis, et citharis concrepabant, stantes ad orientalem plagam altaris : et cum eis sacerdotes centum viginti canentes tubis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃5 והלוים המשררים לכלם לאסף להימן לידתון ולבניהם ולאחיהם מלבשים בוץ במצלתים ובנבלים וכנרות עמדים מזרח למזבח ועמהם כהנים למאה ועשרים *מחצררים **מחצרים בחצצרות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 13

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

- et lorsque ceux qui sonnaient des trompettes et ceux qui chantaient, s'unissant d'un même accord pour célébrer et pour louer l'Éternel, firent retentir les trompettes, les cymbales et les autres instruments, et célébrèrent l'Éternel par ces paroles: Car il est bon, car sa miséricorde dure à toujours! en ce moment, la maison, la maison de l'Éternel fut remplie d'une nuée. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο μία φωνὴ ἐν τω̨̃ σαλπίζειν καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ψαλτω̨δει̃ν καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ἀναφωνει̃ν φωνη̨̃ μια̨̃ του̃ ἐξομολογει̃σθαι καὶ αἰνει̃ν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ ὡς ὕψωσαν φωνὴν ἐν σάλπιγξιν καὶ ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ ἐν ὀργάνοις τω̃ν ὠ̨δω̃ν καὶ ἔλεγον ἐξομολογει̃σθε τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ὅτι ἀγαθόν ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να τὸ ἔλεος αὐτου̃ καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κος ἐνεπλήσθη νεφέλης δόξης κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Igitur cunctis pariter, et tubis, et voce, et cymbalis, et organis, et diversi generis musicorum concinentibus, et vocem in sublime tollentibus, longe sonitus audiebatur, ita ut cum Dominum laudare cœpissent et dicere : Confitemini Domino quoniam bonus, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus : impleretur domus Dei nube, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃5 ויהי כאחד *למחצצרים **למחצרים ולמשררים להשמיע קול אחד להלל ולהדות ליהוה וכהרים קול בחצצרות ובמצלתים ובכלי השיר ובהלל ליהוה כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו והבית מלא ענן בית יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 14

So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

- Les sacrificateurs ne purent pas y rester pour faire le service, à cause de la nuée; car la gloire de l'Éternel remplissait la maison de Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο οἱ ἱερει̃ς του̃ στη̃ναι λειτουργει̃ν ἀπὸ προσώπου τη̃ς νεφέλης ὅτι ἐνέπλησεν δόξα κυρίου τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅲ)

- nec possent sacerdotes stare et ministrare propter caliginem. Compleverat enim gloria Domini domum Dei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃5 ולא יכלו הכהנים לעמוד לשרת מפני הענן כי מלא כבוד יהוה את בית האלהים פ‬ (Ⅴ)
