Confortatus est ergo Salomon filius David in regno suo, et Dominus Deus ejus erat cum eo, et magnificavit eum in excelsum.
- Salomon, fils de David, s'affermit dans son règne; l'Éternel, son Dieu, fut avec lui, et l'éleva à un haut degré. (Ⅱ)
- And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν Σαλωμων υἱὸς Δαυιδ ἐπὶ τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτου̃ καὶ κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτου̃ μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐμεγάλυνεν αὐτὸν εἰς ὕψος (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃1   ויתחזק שלמה בן דויד על מלכותו ויהוה אלהיו עמו ויגדלהו למעלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Præcepitque Salomon universo Israëli, tribunis, et centurionibus, et ducibus, et judicibus omnis Israël, et principibus familiarum :
- Salomon donna des ordres à tout Israël, aux chefs de milliers et de centaines, aux juges, aux princes de tout Israël, aux chefs des maisons paternelles; (Ⅱ)
- Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαλωμων πρὸς πάντα Ισραηλ τοι̃ς χιλιάρχοις καὶ τοι̃ς ἑκατοντάρχοις καὶ τοι̃ς κριται̃ς καὶ πα̃σιν τοι̃ς ἄρχουσιν ἐναντίον Ισραηλ τοι̃ς ἄρχουσι τω̃ν πατριω̃ν (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃1   ויאמר שלמה לכל ישראל לשרי האלפים והמאות ולשפטים ולכל נשיא לכל ישראל ראשי האבות ‬ (Ⅴ)

et abiit cum universa multitudine in excelsum Gabaon, ubi erat tabernaculum fœderis Dei, quod fecit Moyses famulus Dei in solitudine.
- et Salomon se rendit avec toute l'assemblée au haut lieu qui était à Gabaon. Là se trouvait la tente d'assignation de Dieu, faite dans le désert par Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel; (Ⅱ)
- So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ ἐπορεύθη Σαλωμων καὶ πα̃σα ἡ ἐκκλησία μετ' αὐτου̃ εἰς τὴν ὑψηλὴν τὴν ἐν Γαβαων οὑ̃ ἐκει̃ ἠ̃ν ἡ σκηνὴ του̃ μαρτυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἣν ἐποίησεν Μωυση̃ς παι̃ς κυρίου ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃1   וילכו שלמה וכל הקהל עמו לבמה אשר בגבעון כי שם היה אהל מועד האלהים אשר עשה משה עבד יהוה במדבר ‬ (Ⅴ)

Arcam autem Dei adduxerat David de Cariathiarim in locum quem præparaverat ei, et ubi fixerat illi tabernaculum, hoc est, in Jerusalem.
- mais l'arche de Dieu avait été transportée par David de Kirjath Jearim à la place qu'il lui avait préparée, car il avait dressé pour elle une tente à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)
- But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem. (Ⅲ)
- ἀλλὰ κιβωτὸν του̃ θεου̃ ἀνήνεγκεν Δαυιδ ἐκ πόλεως Καριαθιαριμ ὅτι ἡτοίμασεν αὐτη̨̃ σκηνὴν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃1   אבל ארון האלהים העלה דויד מקרית יערים בהכין לו דויד כי נטה לו אהל בירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)

Altare quoque æneum quod fabricatus fuerat Beseleel filius Uri filii Hur, ibi erat coram tabernaculo Domini : quod et requisivit Salomon, et omnis ecclesia.
- Là se trouvait aussi, devant le tabernacle de l'Éternel, l'autel d'airain qu'avait fait Betsaleel, fils d'Uri, fils de Hur. Salomon et l'assemblée cherchèrent l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκου̃ν ὃ ἐποίησεν Βεσελεηλ υἱὸς Ουριου υἱου̃ Ωρ ἐκει̃ ἠ̃ν ἔναντι τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς κυρίου καὶ ἐξεζήτησεν αὐτὸ Σαλωμων καὶ ἡ ἐκκλησία (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃1   ומזבח הנחשת אשר עשה בצלאל בן אורי בן חור שם לפני משכן יהוה וידרשהו שלמה והקהל ‬ (Ⅴ)

Ascenditque Salomon ad altare æneum, coram tabernaculo fœderis Domini, et obtulit in eo mille hostias.
- Et ce fut là, sur l'autel d'airain qui était devant la tente d'assignation, que Salomon offrit à l'Éternel mille holocaustes. (Ⅱ)
- And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ἐκει̃ Σαλωμων ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκου̃ν ἐνώπιον κυρίου τὸ ἐν τη̨̃ σκηνη̨̃ καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ἐπ' αὐτὸ ὁλοκαύτωσιν χιλίαν (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃1   ויעל שלמה שם על מזבח הנחשת לפני יהוה אשר לאהל מועד ויעל עליו עלות אלף ‬ (Ⅴ)

Ecce autem in ipsa nocte apparuit ei Deus, dicens : Postula quod vis, ut dem tibi.
- Pendant la nuit, Dieu apparut à Salomon et lui dit: Demande ce que tu veux que je te donne. (Ⅱ)
- In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. (Ⅲ)
- ἐν τη̨̃ νυκτὶ ἐκείνη̨ ὤφθη ὁ θεὸς τω̨̃ Σαλωμων καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ αἴτησαι τί σοι δω̃ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃1   בלילה ההוא נראה אלהים לשלמה ויאמר לו שאל מה אתן לך ‬ (Ⅴ)

Dixitque Salomon Deo : Tu fecisti cum David patre meo misericordiam magnam, et constituisti me regem pro eo.
- Salomon répondit à Dieu: Tu as traité David, mon père, avec une grande bienveillance, et tu m'as fait régner à sa place. (Ⅱ)
- And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαλωμων πρὸς τὸν θεόν σὺ ἐποίησας μετὰ Δαυιδ του̃ πατρός μου ἔλεος μέγα καὶ ἐβασίλευσάς με ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃1   ויאמר שלמה לאלהים אתה עשית עם דויד אבי חסד גדול והמלכתני תחתיו ‬ (Ⅴ)

Nunc ergo Domine Deus, impleatur sermo tuus quem pollicitus es David patri meo : tu enim me fecisti regem super populum tuum multum, qui tam innumerabilis est quam pulvis terræ.
- Maintenant, Éternel Dieu, que ta promesse à David, mon père, s'accomplisse, puisque tu m'as fait régner sur un peuple nombreux comme la poussière de la terre! (Ⅱ)
- Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ νυ̃ν κύριε ὁ θεός πιστωθήτω τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπὶ Δαυιδ πατέρα μου ὅτι σὺ ἐβασίλευσάς με ἐπὶ λαὸν πολὺν ὡς ὁ χου̃ς τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃1   עתה יהוה אלהים יאמן דברך עם דויד אבי כי אתה המלכתני על עם רב כעפר הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

Da mihi sapientiam et intelligentiam, ut ingrediar et egrediar coram populo tuo : quis enim potest hunc populum tuum digne, qui tam grandis est, judicare ?\
- Accorde-moi donc de la sagesse et de l'intelligence, afin que je sache me conduire à la tête de ce peuple! Car qui pourrait juger ton peuple, ce peuple si grand? (Ⅱ)
- Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? (Ⅲ)
- νυ̃ν σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν δός μοι καὶ ἐξελεύσομαι ἐνώπιον του̃ λαου̃ τούτου καὶ εἰσελεύσομαι ὅτι τίς κρινει̃ τὸν λαόν σου τὸν μέγαν του̃τον (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃1   עתה חכמה ומדע תן לי ואצאה לפני העם הזה ואבואה כי מי ישפט את עמך הזה הגדול ס‬ (Ⅴ)

Dixit autem Deus ad Salomonem : Quia hoc magis placuit cordi tuo, et non postulasti divitias, et substantiam, et gloriam, neque animas eorum qui te oderant, sed nec dies vitæ plurimos : petisti autem sapientiam et scientiam, ut judicare possis populum meum super quem constitui te regem :
- Dieu dit à Salomon: Puisque c'est là ce qui est dans ton coeur, puisque tu ne demandes ni des richesses, ni des biens, ni de la gloire, ni la mort de tes ennemis, ni même une longue vie, et que tu demandes pour toi de la sagesse et de l'intelligence afin de juger mon peuple sur lequel je t'ai fait régner, (Ⅱ)
- And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: (Ⅲ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Σαλωμων ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἐγένετο του̃το ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ σου καὶ οὐκ ἠ̨τήσω πλου̃τον χρημάτων οὐδὲ δόξαν οὐδὲ τὴν ψυχὴν τω̃ν ὑπεναντίων καὶ ἡμέρας πολλὰς οὐκ ἠ̨τήσω καὶ ἤ̨τησας σεαυτω̨̃ σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν ὅπως κρίνη̨ς τὸν λαόν μου ἐφ' ὃν ἐβασίλευσά σε ἐπ' αὐτόν (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃1   ויאמר אלהים לשלמה יען אשר היתה זאת עם לבבך ולא שאלת עשר נכסים וכבוד ואת נפש שנאיך וגם ימים רבים לא שאלת ותשאל לך חכמה ומדע אשר תשפוט את עמי אשר המלכתיך עליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

sapientia et scientia data sunt tibi : divitias autem et substantiam et gloriam dabo tibi, ita ut nullus in regibus nec ante te nec post te fuerit similis tui.
- la sagesse et l'intelligence te sont accordées. Je te donnerai, en outre, des richesses, des biens et de la gloire, comme n'en a jamais eu aucun roi avant toi et comme n'en aura aucun après toi. (Ⅱ)
- Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. (Ⅲ)
- τὴν σοφίαν καὶ τὴν σύνεσιν δίδωμί σοι καὶ πλου̃τον καὶ χρήματα καὶ δόξαν δώσω σοι ὡς οὐκ ἐγενήθη ὅμοιός σοι ἐν τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σι τοι̃ς ἔμπροσθέ σου καὶ μετὰ σὲ οὐκ ἔσται οὕτως (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃1   החכמה והמדע נתון לך ועשר ונכסים וכבוד אתן לך אשר לא היה כן למלכים אשר לפניך ואחריך לא יהיה כן ‬ (Ⅴ)

Venit ergo Salomon ab excelso Gabaon in Jerusalem coram tabernaculo fœderis, et regnavit super Israël.
- Salomon revint à Jérusalem, après avoir quitté le haut lieu qui était à Gabaon et la tente d'assignation. Et il régna sur Israël. (Ⅱ)
- Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Σαλωμων ἐκ βαμα τη̃ς ἐν Γαβαων εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ἀπὸ προσώπου σκηνη̃ς μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃1   ויבא שלמה לבמה אשר בגבעון ירושלם מלפני אהל מועד וימלך על ישראל פ‬ (Ⅴ)

Congregavitque sibi currus et equites, et facti sunt ei mille quadringenti currus, et duodecim millia equitum : et fecit eos esse in urbibus quadrigarum, et cum rege in Jerusalem.
- Salomon rassembla des chars et de la cavalerie; il avait quatorze cents chars et douze mille cavaliers, qu'il plaça dans les villes où il tenait ses chars et à Jérusalem près du roi. (Ⅱ)
- And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ συνήγαγεν Σαλωμων ἅρματα καὶ ἱππει̃ς καὶ ἐγένοντο αὐτω̨̃ χίλια καὶ τετρακόσια ἅρματα καὶ δώδεκα χιλιάδες ἱππέων καὶ κατέλιπεν αὐτὰ ἐν πόλεσιν τω̃ν ἁρμάτων καὶ ὁ λαὸς μετὰ του̃ βασιλέως ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃1   ויאסף שלמה רכב ופרשים ויהי לו אלף וארבע מאות רכב ושנים עשר אלף פרשים ויניחם בערי הרכב ועם המלך בירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)

Præbuitque rex argentum et aurum in Jerusalem quasi lapides, et cedros quasi sycomoros quæ nascuntur in campestribus multitudine magna.
- Le roi rendit l'argent et l'or aussi communs à Jérusalem que les pierres, et les cèdres aussi communs que les sycomores qui croissent dans la plaine. (Ⅱ)
- And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycamore trees that are in the vale for abundance. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ ἔθηκεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὡς λίθους καὶ τὰς κέδρους ἐν τη̨̃ Ιουδαία̨ ὡς συκαμίνους τὰς ἐν τη̨̃ πεδινη̨̃ εἰς πλη̃θος (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃1   ויתן המלך את הכסף ואת הזהב בירושלם כאבנים ואת הארזים נתן כשקמים אשר בשפלה לרב ‬ (Ⅴ)

Adducebantur autem ei equi de Ægypto et de Coa a negotiatoribus regis, qui ibant et emebant pretio,
- C'était de l'Égypte que Salomon tirait ses chevaux; une caravane de marchands du roi allait les chercher par troupes à un prix fixe; (Ⅱ)
- And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ ἡ ἔξοδος τω̃ν ἵππων τω̃ν Σαλωμων ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἡ τιμὴ τω̃ν ἐμπόρων του̃ βασιλέως ἐμπορεύεσθαι ἠγόραζον (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃1   ומוצא הסוסים אשר לשלמה ממצרים ומקוא סחרי המלך מקוא יקחו במחיר ‬ (Ⅴ)

quadrigam equorum sexcentis argenteis, et equum centum quinquaginta : similiter de universis regnis Hethæorum, et a regibus Syriæ emptio celebrabatur.
- on faisait monter et sortir d'Égypte un char pour six cents sicles d'argent, et un cheval pour cent cinquante sicles. Ils en amenaient de même avec eux pour tous les rois des Héthiens et pour les rois de Syrie. (Ⅱ)
- And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means. (Ⅲ)
- καὶ ἀνέβαινον καὶ ἐξη̃γον ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἅρμα ἓν ἑξακοσίων ἀργυρίου καὶ ἵππον ἑκατὸν καὶ πεντήκοντα καὶ οὕτως πα̃σιν τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν τω̃ν Χετταίων καὶ βασιλευ̃σιν Συρίας ἐν χερσὶν αὐτω̃ν ἔφερον (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃1   ויעלו ויוציאו ממצרים מרכבה בשש מאות כסף וסוס בחמשים ומאה וכן לכל מלכי החתים ומלכי ארם בידם יוציאו ‬ ‫ 18 ׃1   ויאמר שלמה לבנות בית לשם יהוה ובית למלכותו ‬ (Ⅴ)
