And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.
- Le roi Assuérus imposa un tribut au pays et aux îles de la mer. (Ⅱ) - Rex vero Assuerus omnem terram et cunctas maris insulas fecit tributarias : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃10 וישם המלך *אחשרש **אחשורוש מס על הארץ ואיי הים (Ⅴ)

And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
- Tous les faits concernant sa puissance et ses exploits, et les détails sur la grandeur à laquelle le roi éleva Mardochée, ne sont-ils pas écrits dans le livre des Chroniques des rois des Mèdes et des Perses? (Ⅱ) - cujus fortitudo et imperium, et dignitas atque sublimitas, qua exaltavit Mardochæum, scripta sunt in libris Medorum, atque Persarum : (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃10 וכל מעשה תקפו וגבורתו ופרשת גדלת מרדכי אשר גדלו המלך הלוא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי מדי ופרס (Ⅴ)

For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
- Car le Juif Mardochée était le premier après le roi Assuérus; considéré parmi les Juifs et aimé de la multitude de ses frères, il rechercha le bien de son peuple et parla pour le bonheur de toute sa race. (Ⅱ) - et quomodo Mardochæus judaici generis secundus a rege Assuero fuerit, et magnus apud Judæos, et acceptabilis plebi fratrum suorum, quærens bona populo suo, et loquens ea quæ ad pacem seminis sui pertinerent.\ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃10 כי מרדכי היהודי משנה למלך אחשורוש וגדול ליהודים ורצוי לרב אחיו דרש טוב לעמו ודבר שלום לכל זרעו (Ⅴ)
