7. 1  
So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.
- Le roi et Haman allèrent au festin chez la reine Esther. (Ⅱ)
- Intravit itaque rex et Aman, ut biberent cum regina. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃7   ויבא המלך והמן לשתות עם אסתר המלכה ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 2  
And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.
- Ce second jour, le roi dit encore à Esther, pendant qu'on buvait le vin: Quelle est ta demande, reine Esther? Elle te sera accordée. Que désires-tu? Quand ce serait la moitié du royaume, tu l'obtiendras. (Ⅱ)
- Dixitque ei rex etiam secunda die, postquam vino incaluerat : Quæ est petitio tua, Esther, ut detur tibi ? et quid vis fieri ? etiam si dimidiam partem regni mei petieris, impetrabis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃7   ויאמר המלך לאסתר גם ביום השני במשתה היין מה שאלתך אסתר המלכה ותנתן לך ומה בקשתך עד חצי המלכות ותעש ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 3  
Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
- La reine Esther répondit: Si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, ô roi, et si le roi le trouve bon, accorde-moi la vie, voilà ma demande, et sauve mon peuple, voilà mon désir! (Ⅱ)
- Ad quem illa respondit : Si inveni gratiam in oculis tuis o rex, et si tibi placet, dona mihi animam meam pro qua rogo, et populum meum pro quo obsecro. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃7   ותען אסתר המלכה ותאמר אם מצאתי חן בעיניך המלך ואם על המלך טוב תנתן לי נפשי בשאלתי ועמי בבקשתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 4  
For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.
- Car nous sommes vendus, moi et mon peuple, pour être détruits, égorgés, anéantis. Encore si nous étions vendus pour devenir esclaves et servantes, je me tairais, mais l'ennemi ne saurait compenser le dommage fait au roi. (Ⅱ)
- Traditi enim sumus ego et populus meus, ut conteramur, jugulemur, et pereamus. Atque utinam in servos et famulas venderemur : esset tolerabile malum, et gemens tacerem : nunc autem hostis noster est, cujus crudelitas redundat in regem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃7   כי נמכרנו אני ועמי להשמיד להרוג ולאבד ואלו לעבדים ולשפחות נמכרנו החרשתי כי אין הצר שוה בנזק המלך ס‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 5  
Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
- Le roi Assuérus prit la parole et dit à la reine Esther: Qui est-il et où est-il celui qui se propose d'agir ainsi? (Ⅱ)
- Respondensque rex Assuerus, ait : Quis est iste, et cujus potentiæ, ut hæc audeat facere ? (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃7   ויאמר המלך אחשורוש ויאמר לאסתר המלכה מי הוא זה ואי זה הוא אשר מלאו לבו לעשות כן ‬ (Ⅴ)

And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
- Esther répondit: L'oppresseur, l'ennemi, c'est Haman, ce méchant-là! Haman fut saisi de terreur en présence du roi et de la reine. (Ⅱ)
- Dixitque Esther : Hostis et inimicus noster pessimus iste est Aman. Quod ille audiens, illico obstupuit, vultum regis ac reginæ ferre non sustinens. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃7   ותאמר אסתר איש צר ואויב המן הרע הזה והמן נבעת מלפני המלך והמלכה ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 7  
And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
- Et le roi, dans sa colère, se leva et quitta le festin, pour aller dans le jardin du palais. Haman resta pour demander grâce de la vie à la reine Esther, car il voyait bien que sa perte était arrêtée dans l'esprit du roi. (Ⅱ)
- Rex autem iratus surrexit, et de loco convivii intravit in hortum arboribus consitum. Aman quoque surrexit ut rogaret Esther reginam pro anima sua : intellexit enim a rege sibi paratum malum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃7   והמלך קם בחמתו ממשתה היין אל גנת הביתן והמן עמד לבקש על נפשו מאסתר המלכה כי ראה כי כלתה אליו הרעה מאת המלך ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 8  
Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
- Lorsque le roi revint du jardin du palais dans la salle du festin, il vit Haman qui s'était précipité vers le lit sur lequel était Esther, et il dit: Serait-ce encore pour faire violence à la reine, chez moi, dans le palais? Dès que cette parole fut sortie de la bouche du roi, on voila le visage d'Haman. (Ⅱ)
- Qui cum reversus esset de horto nemoribus consito, et intrasset convivii locum, reperit Aman super lectulum corruisse in quo jacebat Esther, et ait : Etiam reginam vult opprimere, me præsente, in domo mea. Necdum verbum de ore regis exierat, et statim operuerunt faciem ejus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃7   והמלך שב מגנת הביתן אל בית משתה היין והמן נפל על המטה אשר אסתר עליה ויאמר המלך הגם לכבוש את המלכה עמי בבית הדבר יצא מפי המלך ופני המן חפו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 9  
And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
- Et Harbona, l'un des eunuques, dit en présence du roi: Voici, le bois préparé par Haman pour Mardochée, qui a parlé pour le bien du roi, est dressé dans la maison d'Haman, à une hauteur de cinquante coudées. Le roi dit: Qu'on y pende Haman! (Ⅱ)
- Dixitque Harbona, unus de eunuchis, qui stabant in ministerio regis : En lignum quod paraverat Mardochæo, qui locutus est pro rege, stat in domo Aman, habens altitudinis quinquaginta cubitos. Cui dixit rex : Appendite eum in eo. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃7   ויאמר חרבונה אחד מן הסריסים לפני המלך גם הנה העץ אשר עשה המן למרדכי אשר דבר טוב על המלך עמד בבית המן גבה חמשים אמה ויאמר המלך תלהו עליו ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 10  
So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
- Et l'on pendit Haman au bois qu'il avait préparé pour Mardochée. Et la colère du roi s'apaisa. (Ⅱ)
- Suspensus est itaque Aman in patibulo quod paraverat Mardochæo : et regis ira quievit. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃7   ויתלו את המן על העץ אשר הכין למרדכי וחמת המלך שככה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
