29. 1  
ἔτι δὲ προσθεὶς Ιωβ εἰ̃πεν τω̨̃ προοιμίω̨
- Job prit de nouveau la parole sous forme sentencieuse et dit: (Ⅱ)
- Moreover Job continued his parable, and said, (Ⅲ)
- Addidit quoque Job, assumens parabolam suam, et dixit : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃29  ויסף איוב שאת משלו ויאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 2  
τίς ἄν με θείη κατὰ μη̃να ἔμπροσθεν ἡμερω̃ν ὡ̃ν με ὁ θεὸς ἐφύλαξεν
- Oh! que ne puis-je être comme aux mois du passé, Comme aux jours où Dieu me gardait, (Ⅱ)
- Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me; (Ⅲ)
- Quis mihi tribuat ut sim juxta menses pristinos,/ secundum dies quibus Deus custodiebat me ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃29  מי יתנני כירחי קדם כימי אלוה ישמרני ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 3  
ὡς ὅτε ηὔγει ὁ λύχνος αὐτου̃ ὑπὲρ κεφαλη̃ς μου ὅτε τω̨̃ φωτὶ αὐτου̃ ἐπορευόμην ἐν σκότει
- Quand sa lampe brillait sur ma tête, Et que sa lumière me guidait dans les ténèbres! (Ⅱ)
- When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness; (Ⅲ)
- Quando splendebat lucerna ejus super caput meum,/ et ad lumen ejus ambulabam in tenebris :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃29  בהלו נרו עלי ראשי לאורו אלך חשך ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 4  
ὅτε ἤμην ἐπιβρίθων ὁδοι̃ς ὅτε ὁ θεὸς ἐπισκοπὴν ἐποιει̃το του̃ οἴκου μου
- Que ne suis-je comme aux jours de ma vigueur, Où Dieu veillait en ami sur ma tente, (Ⅱ)
- As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle; (Ⅲ)
- sicut fui in diebus adolescentiæ meæ,/ quando secreto Deus erat in tabernaculo meo :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃29  כאשר הייתי בימי חרפי בסוד אלוה עלי אהלי ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 5  
ὅτε ἤμην ὑλώδης λίαν κύκλω̨ δέ μου οἱ παι̃δες
- Quand le Tout Puissant était encore avec moi, Et que mes enfants m'entouraient; (Ⅱ)
- When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me; (Ⅲ)
- quando erat Omnipotens mecum,/ et in circuitu meo pueri mei :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃29  בעוד שדי עמדי סביבותי נערי ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 6  
ὅτε ἐχέοντό μου αἱ ὁδοὶ βουτύρω̨ τὰ δὲ ὄρη μου ἐχέοντο γάλακτι
- Quand mes pieds se baignaient dans la crème Et que le rocher répandait près de moi des ruisseaux d'huile! (Ⅱ)
- When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; (Ⅲ)
- quando lavabam pedes meos butyro,/ et petra fundebat mihi rivos olei :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃29  ברחץ הליכי בחמה וצור יצוק עמדי פלגי שמן ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 7  
ὅτε ἐξεπορευόμην ὄρθριος ἐν πόλει ἐν δὲ πλατείαις ἐτίθετό μου ὁ δίφρος
- Si je sortais pour aller à la porte de la ville, Et si je me faisais préparer un siège dans la place, (Ⅱ)
- When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street! (Ⅲ)
- quando procedebam ad portam civitatis,/ et in platea parabant cathedram mihi./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃29  בצאתי שער עלי קרת ברחוב אכין מושבי ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 8  
ἰδόντες με νεανίσκοι ἐκρύβησαν πρεσβυ̃ται δὲ πάντες ἔστησαν
- Les jeunes gens se retiraient à mon approche, Les vieillards se levaient et se tenaient debout. (Ⅱ)
- The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up. (Ⅲ)
- Videbant me juvenes, et abscondebantur :/ et senes assurgentes stabant./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃29  ראוני נערים ונחבאו וישישים קמו עמדו ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 9  
ἁδροὶ δὲ ἐπαύσαντο λαλου̃ντες δάκτυλον ἐπιθέντες ἐπὶ στόματι
- Les princes arrêtaient leurs discours, Et mettaient la main sur leur bouche; (Ⅱ)
- The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth. (Ⅲ)
- Principes cessabant loqui,/ et digitum superponebant ori suo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃29  שרים עצרו במלים וכף ישימו לפיהם ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 10  
οἱ δὲ ἀκούσαντες ἐμακάρισάν με καὶ γλω̃σσα αὐτω̃ν τω̨̃ λάρυγγι αὐτω̃ν ἐκολλήθη
- La voix des chefs se taisait, Et leur langue s'attachait à leur palais. (Ⅱ)
- The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth. (Ⅲ)
- Vocem suam cohibebant duces,/ et lingua eorum gutturi suo adhærebat./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃29  קול נגידים נחבאו ולשונם לחכם דבקה ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 11  
ὅτι οὐ̃ς ἤκουσεν καὶ ἐμακάρισέν με ὀφθαλμὸς δὲ ἰδών με ἐξέκλινεν
- L'oreille qui m'entendait me disait heureux, L'oeil qui me voyait me rendait témoignage; (Ⅱ)
- When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: (Ⅲ)
- Auris audiens beatificabat me,/ et oculus videns testimonium reddebat mihi :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃29  כי אזן שמעה ותאשרני ועין ראתה ותעידני ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 12  
διέσωσα γὰρ πτωχὸν ἐκ χειρὸς δυνάστου καὶ ὀρφανω̨̃ ὡ̨̃ οὐκ ἠ̃ν βοηθός ἐβοήθησα
- Car je sauvais le pauvre qui implorait du secours, Et l'orphelin qui manquait d'appui. (Ⅱ)
- Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. (Ⅲ)
- eo quod liberassem pauperem vociferantem,/ et pupillum cui non esset adjutor./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃29  כי אמלט עני משוע ויתום ולא עזר לו ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 13  
εὐλογία ἀπολλυμένου ἐπ' ἐμὲ ἔλθοι στόμα δὲ χήρας με εὐλόγησεν
- La bénédiction du malheureux venait sur moi; Je remplissais de joie le coeur de la veuve. (Ⅱ)
- The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. (Ⅲ)
- Benedictio perituri super me veniebat,/ et cor viduæ consolatus sum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃29  ברכת אבד עלי תבא ולב אלמנה ארנן ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 14  
δικαιοσύνην δὲ ἐνεδεδύκειν ἠμφιασάμην δὲ κρίμα ἴσα διπλοΐδι
- Je me revêtais de la justice et je lui servais de vêtement, J'avais ma droiture pour manteau et pour turban. (Ⅱ)
- I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem. (Ⅲ)
- Justitia indutus sum,/ et vestivi me, sicut vestimento et diademate, judicio meo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃29  צדק לבשתי וילבשני כמעיל וצניף משפטי ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 15  
ὀφθαλμὸς ἤμην τυφλω̃ν ποὺς δὲ χωλω̃ν
- J'étais l'oeil de l'aveugle Et le pied du boiteux. (Ⅱ)
- I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame. (Ⅲ)
- Oculus fui cæco, et pes claudo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃29  עינים הייתי לעור ורגלים לפסח אני ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 16  
ἐγὼ ἤμην πατὴρ ἀδυνάτων δίκην δέ ἣν οὐκ ἤ̨δειν ἐξιχνίασα
- J'étais le père des misérables, J'examinais la cause de l'inconnu; (Ⅱ)
- I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out. (Ⅲ)
- Pater eram pauperum,/ et causam quam nesciebam diligentissime investigabam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃29  אב אנכי לאביונים ורב לא ידעתי אחקרהו ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 17  
συνέτριψα δὲ μύλας ἀδίκων ἐκ δὲ μέσου τω̃ν ὀδόντων αὐτω̃ν ἅρπαγμα ἐξέσπασα
- Je brisais la mâchoire de l'injuste, Et j'arrachais de ses dents la proie. (Ⅱ)
- And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth. (Ⅲ)
- Conterebam molas iniqui,/ et de dentibus illius auferebam prædam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃29  ואשברה מתלעות עול ומשניו אשליך טרף ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 18  
εἰ̃πα δέ ἡ ἡλικία μου γηράσει ὥσπερ στέλεχος φοίνικος πολὺν χρόνον βιώσω
- Alors je disais: Je mourrai dans mon nid, Mes jours seront abondants comme le sable; (Ⅱ)
- Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand. (Ⅲ)
- Dicebamque : In nidulo meo moriar,/ et sicut palma multiplicabo dies./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃29  ואמר עם קני אגוע וכחול ארבה ימים ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 19  
ἡ ῥίζα μου διήνοικται ἐπὶ ὕδατος καὶ δρόσος αὐλισθήσεται ἐν τω̨̃ θερισμω̨̃ μου
- L'eau pénétrera dans mes racines, La rosée passera la nuit sur mes branches; (Ⅱ)
- My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch. (Ⅲ)
- Radix mea aperta est secus aquas,/ et ros morabitur in messione mea./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃29  שרשי פתוח אלי מים וטל ילין בקצירי ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 20  
ἡ δόξα μου καινὴ μετ' ἐμου̃ καὶ τὸ τόξον μου ἐν χειρὶ αὐτου̃ πορεύσεται
- Ma gloire reverdira sans cesse, Et mon arc rajeunira dans ma main. (Ⅱ)
- My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand. (Ⅲ)
- Gloria mea semper innovabitur,/ et arcus meus in manu mea instaurabitur./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃29  כבודי חדש עמדי וקשתי בידי תחליף ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 21  
ἐμου̃ ἀκούσαντες προσέσχον ἐσιώπησαν δὲ ἐπὶ τη̨̃ ἐμη̨̃ βουλη̨̃
- On m'écoutait et l'on restait dans l'attente, On gardait le silence devant mes conseils. (Ⅱ)
- Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel. (Ⅲ)
- Qui me audiebant, expectabant sententiam,/ et intenti tacebant ad consilium meum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃29  לי שמעו ויחלו וידמו למו עצתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 22  
ἐπὶ δὲ τω̨̃ ἐμω̨̃ ῥήματι οὐ προσέθεντο περιχαρει̃ς δὲ ἐγίνοντο ὁπόταν αὐτοι̃ς ἐλάλουν
- Après mes discours, nul ne répliquait, Et ma parole était pour tous une bienfaisante rosée; (Ⅱ)
- After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them. (Ⅲ)
- Verbis meis addere nihil audebant,/ et super illos stillabat eloquium meum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃29  אחרי דברי לא ישנו ועלימו תטף מלתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 23  
ὥσπερ γη̃ διψω̃σα προσδεχομένη τὸν ὑετόν οὕτως οὑ̃τοι τὴν ἐμὴν λαλιάν
- Ils comptaient sur moi comme sur la pluie, Ils ouvraient la bouche comme pour une pluie du printemps. (Ⅱ)
- And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain. (Ⅲ)
- Expectabant me sicut pluviam,/ et os suum aperiebant quasi ad imbrem serotinum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃29  ויחלו כמטר לי ופיהם פערו למלקוש ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 24  
ἐὰν γελάσω πρὸς αὐτούς οὐ μὴ πιστεύσωσιν καὶ φω̃ς του̃ προσώπου μου οὐκ ἀπέπιπτεν
- Je leur souriais quand ils perdaient courage, Et l'on ne pouvait chasser la sérénité de mon front. (Ⅱ)
- If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down. (Ⅲ)
- Siquando ridebam ad eos, non credebant :/ et lux vultus mei non cadebat in terram./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃29  אשחק אלהם לא יאמינו ואור פני לא יפילון ‬ (Ⅴ)
29. 25  
ἐξελεξάμην ὁδὸν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐκάθισα ἄρχων καὶ κατεσκήνουν ὡσεὶ βασιλεὺς ἐν μονοζώνοις ὃν τρόπον παθεινοὺς παρακαλω̃ν
- J'aimais à aller vers eux, et je m'asseyais à leur tête; J'étais comme un roi au milieu d'une troupe, Comme un consolateur auprès des affligés. (Ⅱ)
- I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners. (Ⅲ)
- Si voluissem ire ad eos, sedebam primus :/ cumque sederem quasi rex, circumstante exercitu,/ eram tamen mœrentium consolator.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃29  אבחר דרכם ואשב ראש ואשכון כמלך בגדוד כאשר אבלים ינחם ‬ (Ⅴ)
