5. 1  
ἐπικάλεσαι δέ εἴ τίς σοι ὑπακούσεται ἢ εἴ τινα ἀγγέλων ἁγίων ὄψη̨
- Crie maintenant! Qui te répondra? Auquel des saints t'adresseras-tu? (Ⅱ)
- Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn? (Ⅲ)
- Voca ergo, si est qui tibi respondeat,/ et ad aliquem sanctorum convertere./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃5   קרא נא היש עונך ואל מי מקדשים תפנה ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 2  
καὶ γὰρ ἄφρονα ἀναιρει̃ ὀργή πεπλανημένον δὲ θανατοι̃ ζη̃λος
- L'insensé périt dans sa colère, Le fou meurt dans ses emportements. (Ⅱ)
- For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one. (Ⅲ)
- Vere stultum interficit iracundia,/ et parvulum occidit invidia./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃5   כי לאויל יהרג כעש ופתה תמית קנאה ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 3  
ἐγὼ δὲ ἑώρακα ἄφρονας ῥίζαν βάλλοντας ἀλλ' εὐθέως ἐβρώθη αὐτω̃ν ἡ δίαιτα
- J'ai vu l'insensé prendre racine; Puis soudain j'ai maudit sa demeure. (Ⅱ)
- I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation. (Ⅲ)
- Ego vidi stultum firma radice,/ et maledixi pulchritudini ejus statim./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃5   אני ראיתי אויל משריש ואקוב נוהו פתאם ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 4  
πόρρω γένοιντο οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτω̃ν ἀπὸ σωτηρίας κολαβρισθείησαν δὲ ἐπὶ θύραις ἡσσόνων καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἐξαιρούμενος
- Plus de prospérité pour ses fils; Ils sont foulés à la porte, et personne qui les délivre! (Ⅱ)
- His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them. (Ⅲ)
- Longe fient filii ejus a salute,/ et conterentur in porta,/ et non erit qui eruat./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃5   ירחקו בניו מישע וידכאו בשער ואין מציל ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 5  
ἃ γὰρ ἐκει̃νοι συνήγαγον δίκαιοι ἔδονται αὐτοὶ δὲ ἐκ κακω̃ν οὐκ ἐξαίρετοι ἔσονται ἐκσιφωνισθείη αὐτω̃ν ἡ ἰσχύς
- Sa moisson est dévorée par des affamés, Qui viennent l'enlever jusque dans les épines, Et ses biens sont engloutis par des hommes altérés. (Ⅱ)
- Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance. (Ⅲ)
- Cujus messem famelicus comedet,/ et ipsum rapiet armatus,/ et bibent sitientes divitias ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃5   אשר קצירו רעב יאכל ואל מצנים יקחהו ושאף צמים חילם ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 6  
οὐ γὰρ μὴ ἐξέλθη̨ ἐκ τη̃ς γη̃ς κόπος οὐδὲ ἐξ ὀρέων ἀναβλαστήσει πόνος
- Le malheur ne sort pas de la poussière, Et la souffrance ne germe pas du sol; (Ⅱ)
- Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; (Ⅲ)
- Nihil in terra sine causa fit,/ et de humo non oritur dolor./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃5   כי לא יצא מעפר און ומאדמה לא יצמח עמל ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 7  
ἀλλὰ ἄνθρωπος γεννα̃ται κόπω̨ νεοσσοὶ δὲ γυπὸς τὰ ὑψηλὰ πέτονται
- L'homme naît pour souffrir, Comme l'étincelle pour voler. (Ⅱ)
- Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. (Ⅲ)
- Homo nascitur ad laborem,/ et avis ad volatum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃5   כי אדם לעמל יולד ובני רשף יגביהו עוף ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 8  
οὐ μὴν δὲ ἀλλὰ ἐγὼ δεηθήσομαι κυρίου κύριον δὲ τὸν πάντων δεσπότην ἐπικαλέσομαι
- Pour moi, j'aurais recours à Dieu, Et c'est à Dieu que j'exposerais ma cause. (Ⅱ)
- I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: (Ⅲ)
- Quam ob rem ego deprecabor Dominum,/ et ad Deum ponam eloquium meum :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃5   אולם אני אדרש אל אל ואל אלהים אשים דברתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 9  
τὸν ποιου̃ντα μεγάλα καὶ ἀνεξιχνίαστα ἔνδοξά τε καὶ ἐξαίσια ὡ̃ν οὐκ ἔστιν ἀριθμός
- Il fait des choses grandes et insondables, Des merveilles sans nombre; (Ⅱ)
- Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: (Ⅲ)
- qui facit magna et inscrutabilia,/ et mirabilia absque numero ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃5   עשה גדלות ואין חקר נפלאות עד אין מספר ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 10  
τὸν διδόντα ὑετὸν ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν ἀποστέλλοντα ὕδωρ ἐπὶ τὴν ὑπ' οὐρανόν
- Il répand la pluie sur la terre, Et envoie l'eau sur les campagnes; (Ⅱ)
- Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields: (Ⅲ)
- qui dat pluviam super faciem terræ,/ et irrigat aquis universa ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃5   הנתן מטר על פני ארץ ושלח מים על פני חוצות ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 11  
τὸν ποιου̃ντα ταπεινοὺς εἰς ὕψος καὶ ἀπολωλότας ἐξεγείροντα
- Il relève les humbles, Et délivre les affligés; (Ⅱ)
- To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety. (Ⅲ)
- qui ponit humiles in sublime,/ et mœrentes erigit sospitate ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃5   לשום שפלים למרום וקדרים שגבו ישע ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 12  
διαλλάσσοντα βουλὰς πανούργων καὶ οὐ μὴ ποιήσουσιν αἱ χει̃ρες αὐτω̃ν ἀληθές
- Il anéantit les projets des hommes rusés, Et leurs mains ne peuvent les accomplir; (Ⅱ)
- He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. (Ⅲ)
- qui dissipat cogitationes malignorum,/ ne possint implere manus eorum quod cœperant ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃5   מפר מחשבות ערומים ולא תעשינה ידיהם תושיה ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 13  
ὁ καταλαμβάνων σοφοὺς ἐν τη̨̃ φρονήσει βουλὴν δὲ πολυπλόκων ἐξέστησεν
- Il prend les sages dans leur propre ruse, Et les desseins des hommes artificieux sont renversés: (Ⅱ)
- He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. (Ⅲ)
- qui apprehendit sapientes in astutia eorum,/ et consilium pravorum dissipat./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃5   לכד חכמים בערמם ועצת נפתלים נמהרה ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 14  
ἡμέρας συναντήσεται αὐτοι̃ς σκότος τὸ δὲ μεσημβρινὸν ψηλαφήσαισαν ἴσα νυκτί
- Ils rencontrent les ténèbres au milieu du jour, Ils tâtonnent en plein midi comme dans la nuit. (Ⅱ)
- They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night. (Ⅲ)
- Per diem incurrent tenebras,/ et quasi in nocte, sic palpabunt in meridie./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃5   יומם יפגשו חשך וכלילה ימששו בצהרים ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 15  
ἀπόλοιντο δὲ ἐν πολέμω̨ ἀδύνατος δὲ ἐξέλθοι ἐκ χειρὸς δυνάστου
- Ainsi Dieu protège le faible contre leurs menaces, Et le sauve de la main des puissants; (Ⅱ)
- But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. (Ⅲ)
- Porro salvum faciet egenum a gladio oris eorum,/ et de manu violenti pauperem./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃5   וישע מחרב מפיהם ומיד חזק אביון ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 16  
εἴη δὲ ἀδυνάτω̨ ἐλπίς ἀδίκου δὲ στόμα ἐμφραχθείη
- Et l'espérance soutient le malheureux, Mais l'iniquité ferme la bouche. (Ⅱ)
- So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth. (Ⅲ)
- Et erit egeno spes ;/ iniquitas autem contrahet os suum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃5   ותהי לדל תקוה ועלתה קפצה פיה ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 17  
μακάριος δὲ ἄνθρωπος ὃν ἤλεγξεν ὁ κύριος νουθέτημα δὲ παντοκράτορος μὴ ἀπαναίνου
- Heureux l'homme que Dieu châtie! Ne méprise pas la correction du Tout Puissant. (Ⅱ)
- Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: (Ⅲ)
- Beatus homo qui corripitur a Deo :/ increpationem ergo Domini ne reprobes :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃5   הנה אשרי אנוש יוכחנו אלוה ומוסר שדי אל תמאס ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 18  
αὐτὸς γὰρ ἀλγει̃ν ποιει̃ καὶ πάλιν ἀποκαθίστησιν ἔπαισεν καὶ αἱ χει̃ρες αὐτου̃ ἰάσαντο
- Il fait la plaie, et il la bande; Il blesse, et sa main guérit. (Ⅱ)
- For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. (Ⅲ)
- quia ipse vulnerat, et medetur ;/ percutit, et manus ejus sanabunt./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃5   כי הוא יכאיב ויחבש ימחץ *וידו **וידיו תרפינה ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 19  
ἑξάκις ἐξ ἀναγκω̃ν σε ἐξελει̃ται ἐν δὲ τω̨̃ ἑβδόμω̨ οὐ μὴ ἅψηταί σου κακόν
- Six fois il te délivrera de l'angoisse, Et sept fois le mal ne t'atteindra pas. (Ⅱ)
- He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. (Ⅲ)
- In sex tribulationibus liberabit te,/ et in septima non tanget te malum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃5   בשש צרות יצילך ובשבע לא יגע בך רע ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 20  
ἐν λιμω̨̃ ῥύσεταί σε ἐκ θανάτου ἐν πολέμω̨ δὲ ἐκ χειρὸς σιδήρου λύσει σε
- Il te sauvera de la mort pendant la famine, Et des coups du glaive pendant la guerre. (Ⅱ)
- In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. (Ⅲ)
- In fame eruet te de morte,/ et in bello de manu gladii./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃5   ברעב פדך ממות ובמלחמה מידי חרב ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 21  
ἀπὸ μάστιγος γλώσσης σε κρύψει καὶ οὐ μὴ φοβηθη̨̃ς ἀπὸ κακω̃ν ἐρχομένων
- Tu seras à l'abri du fléau de la langue, Tu seras sans crainte quand viendra la dévastation. (Ⅱ)
- Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. (Ⅲ)
- A flagello linguæ absconderis,/ et non timebis calamitatem cum venerit./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃5   בשוט לשון תחבא ולא תירא משד כי יבוא ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 22  
ἀδίκων καὶ ἀνόμων καταγελάση̨ ἀπὸ δὲ θηρίων ἀγρίων οὐ μὴ φοβηθη̨̃ς
- Tu te riras de la dévastation comme de la famine, Et tu n'auras pas à redouter les bêtes de la terre; (Ⅱ)
- At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. (Ⅲ)
- In vastitate et fame ridebis,/ et bestias terræ non formidabis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃5   לשד ולכפן תשחק ומחית הארץ אל תירא ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 23  
θη̃ρες γὰρ ἄγριοι εἰρηνεύσουσίν σοι
- Car tu feras alliance avec les pierres des champs, Et les bêtes de la terre seront en paix avec toi. (Ⅱ)
- For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. (Ⅲ)
- Sed cum lapidibus regionum pactum tuum,/ et bestiæ terræ pacificæ erunt tibi./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃5   כי עם אבני השדה בריתך וחית השדה השלמה לך ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 24  
εἰ̃τα γνώση̨ ὅτι εἰρηνεύσει σου ὁ οἰ̃κος ἡ δὲ δίαιτα τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς σου οὐ μὴ ἁμάρτη̨
- Tu jouiras du bonheur sous ta tente, Tu retrouveras tes troupeaux au complet, (Ⅱ)
- And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. (Ⅲ)
- Et scies quod pacem habeat tabernaculum tuum ;/ et visitans speciem tuam, non peccabis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃5   וידעת כי שלום אהלך ופקדת נוך ולא תחטא ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 25  
γνώση̨ δὲ ὅτι πολὺ τὸ σπέρμα σου τὰ δὲ τέκνα σου ἔσται ὥσπερ τὸ παμβότανον του̃ ἀγρου̃
- Tu verras ta postérité s'accroître, Et tes rejetons se multiplier comme l'herbe des champs. (Ⅱ)
- Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. (Ⅲ)
- Scies quoque quoniam multiplex erit semen tuum,/ et progenies tua quasi herba terræ./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃5   וידעת כי רב זרעך וצאצאיך כעשב הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 26  
ἐλεύση̨ δὲ ἐν τάφω̨ ὥσπερ σι̃τος ὥριμος κατὰ καιρὸν θεριζόμενος ἢ ὥσπερ θιμωνιὰ ἅλωνος καθ' ὥραν συγκομισθει̃σα
- Tu entreras au sépulcre dans la vieillesse, Comme on emporte une gerbe en son temps. (Ⅱ)
- Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. (Ⅲ)
- Ingredieris in abundantia sepulchrum,/ sicut infertur acervus tritici in tempore suo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 26 ׃5   תבוא בכלח אלי קבר כעלות גדיש בעתו ‬ (Ⅴ)
5. 27  
ἰδοὺ ταυ̃τα οὕτως ἐξιχνιάσαμεν ταυ̃τά ἐστιν ἃ ἀκηκόαμεν σὺ δὲ γνω̃θι σεαυτω̨̃ εἴ τι ἔπραξας
- Voilà ce que nous avons reconnu, voilà ce qui est; A toi d'entendre et de mettre à profit. (Ⅱ)
- Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good. (Ⅲ)
- Ecce hoc, ut investigavimus, ita est :/ quod auditum, mente pertracta.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 27 ׃5   הנה זאת חקרנוה כן היא שמענה ואתה דע לך פ‬ (Ⅴ)
