In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
- Cantique des degrés. Dans ma détresse, c'est à l'Éternel Que je crie, et il m'exauce. (Ⅱ) - ὠ̨δὴ τω̃ν ἀναβαθμω̃ν πρὸς κύριον ἐν τω̨̃ θλίβεσθαί με ἐκέκραξα καὶ εἰσήκουσέν μου (Ⅲ) - Canticum graduum. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
- Éternel, délivre mon âme de la lèvre mensongère, De la langue trompeuse! (Ⅱ) - κύριε ῥυ̃σαι τὴν ψυχήν μου ἀπὸ χειλέων ἀδίκων καὶ ἀπὸ γλώσσης δολίας (Ⅲ) - Domine, libera animam meam a labiis iniquis/ et a lingua dolosa./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃120 יהוה הצילה נפשי משפת שקר מלשון רמיה (Ⅴ)

What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
- Que te donne, que te rapporte Une langue trompeuse? (Ⅱ) - τί δοθείη σοι καὶ τί προστεθείη σοι πρὸς γλω̃σσαν δολίαν (Ⅲ) - Quid detur tibi, aut quid apponatur tibi/ ad linguam dolosam ?/ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃120 מה יתן לך ומה יסיף לך לשון רמיה (Ⅴ)

- Les traits aigus du guerrier, Avec les charbons ardents du genêt. (Ⅱ) - τὰ βέλη του̃ δυνατου̃ ἠκονημένα σὺν τοι̃ς ἄνθραξιν τοι̃ς ἐρημικοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - Sagittæ potentis acutæ,/ cum carbonibus desolatoriis./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃120 חצי גבור שנונים עם גחלי רתמים (Ⅴ)

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
- Malheureux que je suis de séjourner à Méschec, D'habiter parmi les tentes de Kédar! (Ⅱ) - οἴμμοι ὅτι ἡ παροικία μου ἐμακρύνθη κατεσκήνωσα μετὰ τω̃ν σκηνωμάτων Κηδαρ (Ⅲ) - Heu mihi, quia incolatus meus prolongatus est !/ habitavi cum habitantibus Cedar ;/ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃120 אויה לי כי גרתי משך שכנתי עם אהלי קדר (Ⅴ)

My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
- Je suis pour la paix; mais dès que je parle, Ils sont pour la guerre. (Ⅱ) - μετὰ τω̃ν μισούντων τὴν εἰρήνην ἤμην εἰρηνικός ὅταν ἐλάλουν αὐτοι̃ς ἐπολέμουν με δωρεάν (Ⅲ) - Cum his qui oderunt pacem eram pacificus ;/ cum loquebar illis, impugnabant me gratis.] (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃120 אני שלום וכי אדבר המה למלחמה (Ⅴ)
