Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
- Car la parole de l'Éternel est droite, Et toutes ses oeuvres s'accomplissent avec fidélité; (Ⅱ) - ὅτι εὐθὴς ὁ λόγος του̃ κυρίου καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτου̃ ἐν πίστει (Ⅲ) - Quia rectum est verbum Domini,/ et omnia opera ejus in fide./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃33 כי ישר דבר יהוה וכל מעשהו באמונה (Ⅴ)

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
- Les cieux ont été faits par la parole de l'Éternel, Et toute leur armée par le souffle de sa bouche. (Ⅱ) - τω̨̃ λόγω̨ του̃ κυρίου οἱ οὐρανοὶ ἐστερεώθησαν καὶ τω̨̃ πνεύματι του̃ στόματος αὐτου̃ πα̃σα ἡ δύναμις αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Verbo Domini cæli firmati sunt,/ et spiritu oris ejus omnis virtus eorum./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃33 בדבר יהוה שמים נעשו וברוח פיו כל צבאם (Ⅴ)

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
- Il amoncelle en un tas les eaux de la mer, Il met dans des réservoirs les abîmes. (Ⅱ) - συνάγων ὡς ἀσκὸν ὕδατα θαλάσσης τιθεὶς ἐν θησαυροι̃ς ἀβύσσους (Ⅲ) - Congregans sicut in utre aquas maris ;/ ponens in thesauris abyssos./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃33 כנס כנד מי הים נתן באצרות תהומות (Ⅴ)

Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
- Que toute la terre craigne l'Éternel! Que tous les habitants du monde tremblent devant lui! (Ⅱ) - φοβηθήτω τὸν κύριον πα̃σα ἡ γη̃ ἀπ' αὐτου̃ δὲ σαλευθήτωσαν πάντες οἱ κατοικου̃ντες τὴν οἰκουμένην (Ⅲ) - Timeat Dominum omnis terra ;/ ab eo autem commoveantur omnes inhabitantes orbem./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃33 ייראו מיהוה כל הארץ ממנו יגורו כל ישבי תבל (Ⅴ)

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
- L'Éternel renverse les desseins des nations, Il anéantit les projets des peuples; (Ⅱ) - κύριος διασκεδάζει βουλὰς ἐθνω̃ν ἀθετει̃ δὲ λογισμοὺς λαω̃ν καὶ ἀθετει̃ βουλὰς ἀρχόντων (Ⅲ) - Dominus dissipat consilia gentium ;/ reprobat autem cogitationes populorum,/ et reprobat consilia principum./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃33 יהוה הפיר עצת גוים הניא מחשבות עמים (Ⅴ)

The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
- Les desseins de l'Éternel subsistent à toujours, Et les projets de son coeur, de génération en génération. (Ⅱ) - ἡ δὲ βουλὴ του̃ κυρίου εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να μένει λογισμοὶ τη̃ς καρδίας αὐτου̃ εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεάν (Ⅲ) - Consilium autem Domini in æternum manet ;/ cogitationes cordis ejus in generatione et generationem./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃33 עצת יהוה לעולם תעמד מחשבות לבו לדר ודר (Ⅴ)

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
- Heureuse la nation dont l'Éternel est le Dieu! Heureux le peuple qu'il choisit pour son héritage! The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
- L'Éternel regarde du haut des cieux, Il voit tous les fils de l'homme; (Ⅱ) - ἐξ οὐρανου̃ ἐπέβλεψεν ὁ κύριος εἰ̃δεν πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς τω̃ν ἀνθρώπων (Ⅲ) - De cælo respexit Dominus ;/ vidit omnes filios hominum./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃33 משמים הביט יהוה ראה את כל בני האדם (Ⅴ)

From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
- Du lieu de sa demeure il observe Tous les habitants de la terre, (Ⅱ) - ἐξ ἑτοίμου κατοικητηρίου αὐτου̃ ἐπέβλεψεν ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ) - De præparato habitaculo suo/ respexit super omnes qui habitant terram :/ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃33 ממכון שבתו השגיח אל כל ישבי הארץ (Ⅴ)

He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
- Lui qui forme leur coeur à tous, Qui est attentif à toutes leurs actions. (Ⅱ) - ὁ πλάσας κατὰ μόνας τὰς καρδίας αὐτω̃ν ὁ συνιεὶς εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - qui finxit sigillatim corda eorum ;/ qui intelligit omnia opera eorum./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃33 היצר יחד לבם המבין אל כל מעשיהם (Ⅴ)

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
- Ce n'est pas une grande armée qui sauve le roi, Ce n'est pas une grande force qui délivre le héros; (Ⅱ) - οὐ σώ̨ζεται βασιλεὺς διὰ πολλὴν δύναμιν καὶ γίγας οὐ σωθήσεται ἐν πλήθει ἰσχύος αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Non salvatur rex per multam virtutem,/ et gigas non salvabitur in multitudine virtutis suæ./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃33 אין המלך נושע ברב חיל גבור לא ינצל ברב כח (Ⅴ)

An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
- Le cheval est impuissant pour assurer le salut, Et toute sa vigueur ne donne pas la délivrance. (Ⅱ) - ψευδὴς ἵππος εἰς σωτηρίαν ἐν δὲ πλήθει δυνάμεως αὐτου̃ οὐ σωθήσεται (Ⅲ) - Fallax equus ad salutem ;/ in abundantia autem virtutis suæ non salvabitur./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃33 שקר הסוס לתשועה וברב חילו לא ימלט (Ⅴ)

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
- Voici, l'oeil de l'Éternel est sur ceux qui le craignent, Sur ceux qui espèrent en sa bonté, (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ κυρίου ἐπὶ τοὺς φοβουμένους αὐτὸν τοὺς ἐλπίζοντας ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Ecce oculi Domini super metuentes eum,/ et in eis qui sperant super misericordia ejus :/ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃33 הנה עין יהוה אל יראיו למיחלים לחסדו (Ⅴ)

To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
- Afin d'arracher leur âme à la mort Et de les faire vivre au milieu de la famine. (Ⅱ) - ῥύσασθαι ἐκ θανάτου τὰς ψυχὰς αὐτω̃ν καὶ διαθρέψαι αὐτοὺς ἐν λιμω̨̃ (Ⅲ) - ut eruat a morte animas eorum,/ et alat eos in fame./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃33 להציל ממות נפשם ולחיותם ברעב (Ⅴ)

Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
- Notre âme espère en l'Éternel; Il est notre secours et notre bouclier. (Ⅱ) - ἡ ψυχὴ ἡμω̃ν ὑπομένει τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ὅτι βοηθὸς καὶ ὑπερασπιστὴς ἡμω̃ν ἐστιν (Ⅲ) - Anima nostra sustinet Dominum,/ quoniam adjutor et protector noster est./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃33 נפשנו חכתה ליהוה עזרנו ומגננו הוא (Ⅴ)

For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
- Car notre coeur met en lui sa joie, Car nous avons confiance en son saint nom. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ἐν αὐτω̨̃ εὐφρανθήσεται ἡ καρδία ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ὀνόματι τω̨̃ ἁγίω̨ αὐτου̃ ἠλπίσαμεν (Ⅲ) - Quia in eo lætabitur cor nostrum,/ et in nomine sancto ejus speravimus./ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃33 כי בו ישמח לבנו כי בשם קדשו בטחנו (Ⅴ)

Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
- Éternel! que ta grâce soit sur nous, Comme nous espérons en toi! (Ⅱ) - γένοιτο τὸ ἔλεός σου κύριε ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς καθάπερ ἠλπίσαμεν ἐπὶ σέ (εὐλογήσω τὸν κύριον ἐν παντὶ καιρω̨̃ διὰ παντὸς ἡ αἴνεσις αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ στόματί μου) (Ⅲ) - Fiat misericordia tua, Domine, super nos,/ quemadmodum speravimus in te.] (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃33 יהי חסדך יהוה עלינו כאשר יחלנו לך (Ⅴ)
