Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
- Aussi Dieu t'abattra pour toujours, Il te saisira et t'enlèvera de ta tente; Il te déracinera de la terre des vivants. -Pause. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το ὁ θεὸς καθελει̃ σε εἰς τέλος ἐκτίλαι σε καὶ μεταναστεύσαι σε ἀπὸ σκηνώματος καὶ τὸ ῥίζωμά σου ἐκ γη̃ς ζώντων διάψαλμα (Ⅲ) - Propterea Deus destruet te in finem ;/ evellet te, et emigrabit te de tabernaculo tuo,/ et radicem tuam de terra viventium./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃52 גם אל יתצך לנצח יחתך ויסחך מאהל ושרשך[c] מארץ חיים סלה (Ⅴ)

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
- Les justes le verront, et auront de la crainte, Et ils feront de lui le sujet de leurs moqueries: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὄψονται δίκαιοι καὶ φοβηθήσονται καὶ ἐπ' αὐτὸν γελάσονται καὶ ἐρου̃σιν (Ⅲ) - Videbunt justi, et timebunt ;/ et super eum ridebunt, et dicent :/ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃52 ויראו צדיקים וייראו ועליו ישחקו (Ⅴ)

Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
- Voilà l'homme qui ne prenait point Dieu pour protecteur, Mais qui se confiait en ses grandes richesses, Et qui triomphait dans sa malice! (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ ἄνθρωπος ὃς οὐκ ἔθετο τὸν θεὸν βοηθὸν αὐτου̃ ἀλλ' ἐπήλπισεν ἐπὶ τὸ πλη̃θος του̃ πλούτου αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐδυναμώθη ἐπὶ τη̨̃ ματαιότητι αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Ecce homo qui non posuit Deum adjutorem suum ;/ sed speravit in multitudine divitiarum suarum,/ et prævaluit in vanitate sua./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃52 הנה הגבר לא ישים אלהים מעוזו ויבטח ברב עשרו יעז בהותו (Ⅴ)

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
- Et moi, je suis dans la maison de Dieu comme un olivier verdoyant, Je me confie dans la bonté de Dieu, éternellement et à jamais. (Ⅱ) - ἐγὼ δὲ ὡσεὶ ἐλαία κατάκαρπος ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ του̃ θεου̃ ἤλπισα ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλεος του̃ θεου̃ εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να του̃ αἰω̃νος (Ⅲ) - Ego autem, sicut oliva fructifera in domo Dei ;/ speravi in misericordia Dei, in æternum et in sæculum sæculi./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃52 ואני כזית רענן בבית אלהים בטחתי בחסד אלהים עולם ועד (Ⅴ)

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
- Je te louerai toujours, parce que tu as agi; Et je veux espérer en ton nom, parce qu'il est favorable, En présence de tes fidèles. (Ⅱ) - ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να ὅτι ἐποίησας καὶ ὑπομενω̃ τὸ ὄνομά σου ὅτι χρηστὸν ἐναντίον τω̃ν ὁσίων σου (Ⅲ) - Confitebor tibi in sæculum, quia fecisti ;/ et exspectabo nomen tuum,/ quoniam bonum est in conspectu sanctorum tuorum.] (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃52 אודך לעולם כי עשית ואקוה שמך כי טוב נגד חסידיך (Ⅴ)
