74. 1  
Cantique d'Asaph. Pourquoi, ô Dieu! rejettes-tu pour toujours? Pourquoi t'irrites-tu contre le troupeau de ton pâturage?
- O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? (Ⅱ)
- συνέσεως τω̨̃ Ασαφ ἵνα τί ἀπώσω ὁ θεός εἰς τέλος ὠργίσθη ὁ θυμός σου ἐπὶ πρόβατα νομη̃ς σου (Ⅲ)
- Intellectus Asaph. [Ut quid, Deus, repulisti in finem,/ iratus est furor tuus super oves pascuæ tuæ ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃74  משכיל לאסף למה אלהים זנחת לנצח יעשן אפך בצאן מרעיתך ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 2  
Souviens-toi de ton peuple que tu as acquis autrefois, Que tu as racheté comme la tribu de ton héritage! Souviens-toi de la montagne de Sion, où tu faisais ta résidence;
- Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. (Ⅱ)
- μνήσθητι τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς σου ἡ̃ς ἐκτήσω ἀπ' ἀρχη̃ς ἐλυτρώσω ῥάβδον κληρονομίας σου ὄρος Σιων του̃το ὃ κατεσκήνωσας ἐν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)
- Memor esto congregationis tuæ,/ quam possedisti ab initio./ Redemisti virgam hæreditatis tuæ,/ mons Sion, in quo habitasti in eo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃74  זכר עדתך קנית קדם גאלת שבט נחלתך הר ציון זה שכנת בו ‬ (Ⅴ)

Porte tes pas vers ces lieux constamment dévastés! L'ennemi a tout ravagé dans le sanctuaire.
- Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. (Ⅱ)
- ἔπαρον τὰς χει̃ράς σου ἐπὶ τὰς ὑπερηφανίας αὐτω̃ν εἰς τέλος ὅσα ἐπονηρεύσατο ὁ ἐχθρὸς ἐν τοι̃ς ἁγίοις σου (Ⅲ)
- Leva manus tuas in superbias eorum in finem :/ quanta malignatus est inimicus in sancto !/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃74  הרימה פעמיך למשאות נצח כל הרע אויב בקדש ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 4  
Tes adversaires ont rugi au milieu de ton temple; Ils ont établi pour signes leurs signes.
- Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐνεκαυχήσαντο οἱ μισου̃ντές σε ἐν μέσω̨ τη̃ς ἑορτη̃ς σου ἔθεντο τὰ σημει̃α αὐτω̃ν σημει̃α καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν (Ⅲ)
- Et gloriati sunt qui oderunt te in medio solemnitatis tuæ ;/ posuerunt signa sua, signa :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃74  שאגו צרריך בקרב מועדך שמו אותתם אתות ‬ (Ⅴ)

On les a vus, pareils à celui qui lève La cognée dans une épaisse forêt;
- A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. (Ⅱ)
- ὡς εἰς τὴν εἴσοδον ὑπεράνω (Ⅲ)
- et non cognoverunt sicut in exitu super summum./ Quasi in silva lignorum securibus/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃74  יודע כמביא למעלה בסבך עץ קרדמות ‬ (Ⅴ)

Et bientôt ils ont brisé toutes les sculptures, A coups de haches et de marteaux.
- But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. (Ⅱ)
- ὡς ἐν δρυμω̨̃ ξύλων ἀξίναις ἐξέκοψαν τὰς θύρας αὐτη̃ς ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ ἐν πελέκει καὶ λαξευτηρίω̨ κατέρραξαν αὐτήν (Ⅲ)
- exciderunt januas ejus in idipsum ;/ in securi et ascia dejecerunt eam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃74  *ועת **ועתה פתוחיה יחד בכשיל וכילפת יהלמון ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 7  
Ils ont mis le feu à ton sanctuaire; Ils ont abattu, profané la demeure de ton nom.
- They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground. (Ⅱ)
- ἐνεπύρισαν ἐν πυρὶ τὸ ἁγιαστήριόν σου εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ἐβεβήλωσαν τὸ σκήνωμα του̃ ὀνόματός σου (Ⅲ)
- Incenderunt igni sanctuarium tuum ;/ in terra polluerunt tabernaculum nominis tui./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃74  שלחו באש מקדשך לארץ חללו משכן שמך ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 8  
Ils disaient en leur coeur: Traitons-les tous avec violence! Ils ont brûlé dans le pays tous les lieux saints.
- They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. (Ⅱ)
- εἰ̃παν ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ αὐτω̃ν ἡ συγγένεια αὐτω̃ν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό δευ̃τε καὶ κατακαύσωμεν πάσας τὰς ἑορτὰς του̃ θεου̃ ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Dixerunt in corde suo cognatio eorum simul :/ Quiescere faciamus omnes dies festos Dei a terra./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃74  אמרו בלבם נינם יחד שרפו כל מועדי אל בארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 9  
Nous ne voyons plus nos signes; Il n'y a plus de prophète, Et personne parmi nous qui sache jusqu'à quand...
- We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. (Ⅱ)
- τὰ σημει̃α ἡμω̃ν οὐκ εἴδομεν οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι προφήτης καὶ ἡμα̃ς οὐ γνώσεται ἔτι (Ⅲ)
- Signa nostra non vidimus ;/ jam non est propheta ;/ et nos non cognoscet amplius./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃74  אותתינו לא ראינו אין עוד נביא ולא אתנו ידע עד מה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Jusqu'à quand, ô Dieu! l'oppresseur outragera-t-il, L'ennemi méprisera-t-il sans cesse ton nom?
- O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? (Ⅱ)
- ἕως πότε ὁ θεός ὀνειδιει̃ ὁ ἐχθρός παροξυνει̃ ὁ ὑπεναντίος τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τέλος (Ⅲ)
- Usquequo, Deus, improperabit inimicus ?/ irritat adversarius nomen tuum in finem ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃74  עד מתי אלהים יחרף צר ינאץ אויב שמך לנצח ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 11  
Pourquoi retires-tu ta main et ta droite? Sors-la de ton sein! détruis!
- Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom. (Ⅱ)
- ἵνα τί ἀποστρέφεις τὴν χει̃ρά σου καὶ τὴν δεξιάν σου ἐκ μέσου του̃ κόλπου σου εἰς τέλος (Ⅲ)
- Ut quid avertis manum tuam,/ et dexteram tuam de medio sinu tuo in finem ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃74  למה תשיב ידך וימינך מקרב *חוקך **חיקך כלה ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 12  
Dieu est mon roi dès les temps anciens, Lui qui opère des délivrances au milieu de la terre.
- For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ θεὸς βασιλεὺς ἡμω̃ν πρὸ αἰω̃νος εἰργάσατο σωτηρίαν ἐν μέσω̨ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Deus autem rex noster ante sæcula :/ operatus est salutem in medio terræ./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃74  ואלהים מלכי מקדם פעל ישועות בקרב הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 13  
Tu as fendu la mer par ta puissance, Tu as brisé les têtes des monstres sur les eaux;
- Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. (Ⅱ)
- σὺ ἐκραταίωσας ἐν τη̨̃ δυνάμει σου τὴν θάλασσαν σὺ συνέτριψας τὰς κεφαλὰς τω̃ν δρακόντων ἐπὶ του̃ ὕδατος (Ⅲ)
- Tu confirmasti in virtute tua mare ;/ contribulasti capita draconum in aquis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃74  אתה פוררת בעזך ים שברת ראשי תנינים על המים ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 14  
Tu as écrasé la tête du crocodile, Tu l'as donné pour nourriture au peuple du désert.
- Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. (Ⅱ)
- σὺ συνέθλασας τὰς κεφαλὰς του̃ δράκοντος ἔδωκας αὐτὸν βρω̃μα λαοι̃ς τοι̃ς Αἰθίοψιν (Ⅲ)
- Tu confregisti capita draconis ;/ dedisti eum escam populis Æthiopum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃74  אתה רצצת ראשי לויתן תתננו מאכל לעם לציים ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 15  
Tu as fait jaillir des sources et des torrents. Tu as mis à sec des fleuves qui ne tarissent point.
- Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. (Ⅱ)
- σὺ διέρρηξας πηγὰς καὶ χειμάρρους σὺ ἐξήρανας ποταμοὺς Ηθαμ (Ⅲ)
- Tu dirupisti fontes et torrentes ;/ tu siccasti fluvios Ethan./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃74  אתה בקעת מעין ונחל אתה הובשת נהרות איתן ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 16  
A toi est le jour, à toi est la nuit; Tu as créé la lumière et le soleil.
- The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun. (Ⅱ)
- σή ἐστιν ἡ ἡμέρα καὶ σή ἐστιν ἡ νύξ σὺ κατηρτίσω φαυ̃σιν καὶ ἥλιον (Ⅲ)
- Tuus est dies, et tua est nox ;/ tu fabricatus es auroram et solem./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃74  לך יום אף לך לילה אתה הכינות מאור ושמש ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 17  
Tu as fixé toutes les limites de la terre, Tu as établi l'été et l'hiver.
- Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. (Ⅱ)
- σὺ ἐποίησας πάντα τὰ ὅρια τη̃ς γη̃ς θέρος καὶ ἔαρ σὺ ἔπλασας αὐτά (Ⅲ)
- Tu fecisti omnes terminos terræ ;/ æstatem et ver tu plasmasti ea./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃74  אתה הצבת כל גבולות ארץ קיץ וחרף אתה יצרתם‪[1]‬ ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 18  
Souviens-toi que l'ennemi outrage l'Éternel, Et qu'un peuple insensé méprise ton nom!
- Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name. (Ⅱ)
- μνήσθητι ταύτης ἐχθρὸς ὠνείδισεν τὸν κύριον καὶ λαὸς ἄφρων παρώξυνεν τὸ ὄνομά σου (Ⅲ)
- Memor esto hujus : inimicus improperavit Domino,/ et populus insipiens incitavit nomen tuum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃74  זכר זאת אויב חרף יהוה ועם נבל נאצו שמך ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 19  
Ne livre pas aux bêtes l'âme de ta tourterelle, N'oublie pas à toujours la vie de tes malheureux!
- O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever. (Ⅱ)
- μὴ παραδω̨̃ς τοι̃ς θηρίοις ψυχὴν ἐξομολογουμένην σοι τω̃ν ψυχω̃ν τω̃ν πενήτων σου μὴ ἐπιλάθη̨ εἰς τέλος (Ⅲ)
- Ne tradas bestiis animas confitentes tibi,/ et animas pauperum tuorum ne obliviscaris in finem./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃74  אל תתן לחית נפש תורך חית ענייך אל תשכח לנצח ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 20  
Aie égard à l'alliance! Car les lieux sombres du pays sont pleins de repaires de brigands.
- Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. (Ⅱ)
- ἐπίβλεψον εἰς τὴν διαθήκην σου ὅτι ἐπληρώθησαν οἱ ἐσκοτισμένοι τη̃ς γη̃ς οἴκων ἀνομιω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Respice in testamentum tuum,/ quia repleti sunt qui obscurati sunt terræ domibus iniquitatum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃74  הבט לברית כי מלאו מחשכי ארץ נאות חמס ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 21  
Que l'opprimé ne retourne pas confus! Que le malheureux et le pauvre célèbrent ton nom!
- O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name. (Ⅱ)
- μὴ ἀποστραφήτω τεταπεινωμένος κατη̨σχυμμένος πτωχὸς καὶ πένης αἰνέσουσιν τὸ ὄνομά σου (Ⅲ)
- Ne avertatur humilis factus confusus ;/ pauper et inops laudabunt nomen tuum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃74  אל ישב דך נכלם עני ואביון יהללו שמך ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 22  
Lève-toi, ô Dieu! défends ta cause! Souviens-toi des outrages que te fait chaque jour l'insensé!
- Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. (Ⅱ)
- ἀνάστα ὁ θεός δίκασον τὴν δίκην σου μνήσθητι τω̃ν ὀνειδισμω̃ν σου τω̃ν ὑπὸ ἄφρονος ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν (Ⅲ)
- Exsurge, Deus, judica causam tuam ;/ memor esto improperiorum tuorum,/ eorum quæ ab insipiente sunt tota die./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃74  קומה אלהים ריבה ריבך זכר חרפתך מני נבל כל היום ‬ (Ⅴ)
74. 23  
N'oublie pas les clameurs de tes adversaires, Le tumulte sans cesse croissant de ceux qui s'élèvent contre toi!
- Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually. (Ⅱ)
- μὴ ἐπιλάθη̨ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τω̃ν ἱκετω̃ν σου ἡ ὑπερηφανία τω̃ν μισούντων σε ἀνέβη διὰ παντὸς πρὸς σέ (Ⅲ)
- Ne obliviscaris voces inimicorum tuorum :/ superbia eorum qui te oderunt ascendit semper.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃74  אל תשכח קול צרריך שאון קמיך עלה תמיד ‬ (Ⅴ)
