Éternel, notre Seigneur! Que ton nom est magnifique sur toute la terre! Ta majesté s'élève au-dessus des cieux.
- O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. (Ⅱ) - κύριε ὁ κύριος ἡμω̃ν ὡς θαυμαστὸν τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ὅτι ἐπήρθη ἡ μεγαλοπρέπειά σου ὑπεράνω τω̃ν οὐρανω̃ν (Ⅲ) - [Domine, Dominus noster,/ quam admirabile est nomen tuum in universa terra !/ quoniam elevata est magnificentia tua super cælos./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃8 יהוה אדנינו מה אדיר שמך בכל הארץ אשר תנה הודך על השמים (Ⅴ)

Par la bouche des enfants et de ceux qui sont à la mamelle Tu as fondé ta gloire, pour confondre tes adversaires, Pour imposer silence à l'ennemi et au vindicatif.
- Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. (Ⅱ) - ἐκ στόματος νηπίων καὶ θηλαζόντων κατηρτίσω αἰ̃νον ἕνεκα τω̃ν ἐχθρω̃ν σου του̃ καταλυ̃σαι ἐχθρὸν καὶ ἐκδικητήν (Ⅲ) - Ex ore infantium et lactentium perfecisti laudem propter inimicos tuos,/ ut destruas inimicum et ultorem./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃8 מפי עוללים וינקים יסדת עז למען צורריך להשבית אויב ומתנקם (Ⅴ)

Quand je contemple les cieux, ouvrage de tes mains, La lune et les étoiles que tu as créées:
- When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ὄψομαι τοὺς οὐρανούς ἔργα τω̃ν δακτύλων σου σελήνην καὶ ἀστέρας ἃ σὺ ἐθεμελίωσας (Ⅲ) - Quoniam videbo cælos tuos, opera digitorum tuorum,/ lunam et stellas quæ tu fundasti./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃8 כי אראה שמיך מעשי אצבעתיך ירח וכוכבים אשר כוננתה (Ⅴ)

Qu'est-ce que l'homme, pour que tu te souviennes de lui? Et le fils de l'homme, pour que tu prennes garde à lui?
- What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? (Ⅱ) - τί ἐστιν ἄνθρωπος ὅτι μιμνή̨σκη̨ αὐτου̃ ἢ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου ὅτι ἐπισκέπτη̨ αὐτόν (Ⅲ) - Quid est homo, quod memor es ejus ?/ aut filius hominis, quoniam visitas eum ?/ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃8 מה אנוש כי תזכרנו ובן אדם כי תפקדנו (Ⅴ)

Tu l'as fait de peu inférieur à Dieu, Et tu l'as couronné de gloire et de magnificence.
- For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. (Ⅱ) - ἠλάττωσας αὐτὸν βραχύ τι παρ' ἀγγέλους δόξη̨ καὶ τιμη̨̃ ἐστεφάνωσας αὐτόν (Ⅲ) - Minuisti eum paulominus ab angelis ;/ gloria et honore coronasti eum ;/ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃8 ותחסרהו מעט מאלהים וכבוד והדר תעטרהו (Ⅴ)

Tu lui as donné la domination sur les oeuvres de tes mains, Tu as tout mis sous ses pieds,
- Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατέστησας αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα τω̃ν χειρω̃ν σου πάντα ὑπέταξας ὑποκάτω τω̃ν ποδω̃ν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - et constituisti eum super opera manuum tuarum./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃8 תמשילהו במעשי ידיך כל שתה תחת רגליו (Ⅴ)

Les brebis comme les boeufs, Et les animaux des champs,
- All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; (Ⅱ) - πρόβατα καὶ βόας πάσας ἔτι δὲ καὶ τὰ κτήνη του̃ πεδίου (Ⅲ) - Omnia subjecisti sub pedibus ejus,/ oves et boves universas,/ insuper et pecora campi,/ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃8 צנה ואלפים כלם וגם בהמות שדי (Ⅴ)

Les oiseaux du ciel et les poissons de la mer, Tout ce qui parcourt les sentiers des mers.
- The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. (Ⅱ) - τὰ πετεινὰ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ τοὺς ἰχθύας τη̃ς θαλάσσης τὰ διαπορευόμενα τρίβους θαλασσω̃ν (Ⅲ) - volucres cæli, et pisces maris/ qui perambulant semitas maris./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃8 צפור שמים ודגי הים עבר ארחות ימים (Ⅴ)
