- ‫ 1  ׃89  משכיל לאיתן האזרחי ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 2  
τὰ ἐλέη σου κύριε εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να ἄ̨σομαι εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεὰν ἀπαγγελω̃ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου ἐν τω̨̃ στόματί μου
- Je chanterai toujours les bontés de l'Éternel; Ma bouche fera connaître à jamais ta fidélité. (Ⅱ)
- I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. (Ⅲ)
- [Misericordias Domini in æternum cantabo ;/ in generationem et generationem annuntiabo veritatem tuam in ore meo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃89  חסדי יהוה עולם אשירה לדר ודר אודיע אמונתך בפי ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 3  
ὅτι εἰ̃πας εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να ἔλεος οἰκοδομηθήσεται ἐν τοι̃ς οὐρανοι̃ς ἑτοιμασθήσεται ἡ ἀλήθειά σου
- Car je dis: La bonté a des fondements éternels; Tu établis ta fidélité dans les cieux. (Ⅱ)
- For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. (Ⅲ)
- Quoniam dixisti : In æternum misericordia ædificabitur in cælis ;/ præparabitur veritas tua in eis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃89  כי אמרתי עולם חסד יבנה שמים תכן אמונתך בהם ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 4  
διεθέμην διαθήκην τοι̃ς ἐκλεκτοι̃ς μου ὤμοσα Δαυιδ τω̨̃ δούλω̨ μου
- J'ai fait alliance avec mon élu; Voici ce que j'ai juré à David, mon serviteur: (Ⅱ)
- I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, (Ⅲ)
- Disposui testamentum electis meis ;/ juravi David servo meo :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃89  כרתי ברית לבחירי נשבעתי לדוד עבדי ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 5  
ἕως του̃ αἰω̃νος ἑτοιμάσω τὸ σπέρμα σου καὶ οἰκοδομήσω εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεὰν τὸν θρόνον σου διάψαλμα
- J'affermirai ta postérité pour toujours, Et j'établirai ton trône à perpétuité. Pause. (Ⅱ)
- Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. (Ⅲ)
- Usque in æternum præparabo semen tuum,/ et ædificabo in generationem et generationem sedem tuam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃89  עד עולם אכין זרעך ובניתי לדר ודור כסאך סלה ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 6  
ἐξομολογήσονται οἱ οὐρανοὶ τὰ θαυμάσιά σου κύριε καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου ἐν ἐκκλησία̨ ἁγίων
- Les cieux célèbrent tes merveilles, ô Éternel! Et ta fidélité dans l'assemblée des saints. (Ⅱ)
- And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. (Ⅲ)
- Confitebuntur cæli mirabilia tua, Domine ;/ etenim veritatem tuam in ecclesia sanctorum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃89  ויודו שמים פלאך יהוה אף אמונתך בקהל קדשים ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 7  
ὅτι τίς ἐν νεφέλαις ἰσωθήσεται τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ τίς ὁμοιωθήσεται τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐν υἱοι̃ς θεου̃
- Car qui, dans le ciel, peut se comparer à l'Éternel? Qui est semblable à toi parmi les fils de Dieu? (Ⅱ)
- For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? (Ⅲ)
- Quoniam quis in nubibus æquabitur Domino ;/ similis erit Deo in filiis Dei ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃89  כי מי בשחק יערך ליהוה ידמה ליהוה בבני אלים‪[1]‬ ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 8  
ὁ θεὸς ἐνδοξαζόμενος ἐν βουλη̨̃ ἁγίων μέγας καὶ φοβερὸς ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς περικύκλω̨ αὐτου̃
- Dieu est terrible dans la grande assemblée des saints, Il est redoutable pour tous ceux qui l'entourent. (Ⅱ)
- God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. (Ⅲ)
- Deus, qui glorificatur in consilio sanctorum,/ magnus et terribilis super omnes qui in circuitu ejus sunt./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃89  אל נערץ בסוד קדשים רבה ונורא על כל סביביו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 9  
κύριε ὁ θεὸς τω̃ν δυνάμεων τίς ὅμοιός σοι δυνατὸς εἰ̃ κύριε καὶ ἡ ἀλήθειά σου κύκλω̨ σου
- Éternel, Dieu des armées! qui est comme toi puissant, ô Éternel? Ta fidélité t'environne. (Ⅱ)
- O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? (Ⅲ)
- Domine Deus virtutum, quis similis tibi ?/ potens es, Domine, et veritas tua in circuitu tuo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃89  יהוה אלהי צבאות מי כמוך חסין יה ואמונתך סביבותיך ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 10  
σὺ δεσπόζεις του̃ κράτους τη̃ς θαλάσσης τὸν δὲ σάλον τω̃ν κυμάτων αὐτη̃ς σὺ καταπραΰνεις
- Tu domptes l'orgueil de la mer; Quand ses flots se soulèvent, tu les apaises. (Ⅱ)
- Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them. (Ⅲ)
- Tu dominaris potestati maris ;/ motum autem fluctuum ejus tu mitigas./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃89  אתה מושל בגאות הים בשוא גליו אתה תשבחם ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 11  
σὺ ἐταπείνωσας ὡς τραυματίαν ὑπερήφανον καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ βραχίονι τη̃ς δυνάμεώς σου διεσκόρπισας τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου
- Tu écrasas l'Égypte comme un cadavre, Tu dispersas tes ennemis par la puissance de ton bras. (Ⅱ)
- Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm. (Ⅲ)
- Tu humiliasti, sicut vulneratum, superbum ;/ in brachio virtutis tuæ dispersisti inimicos tuos./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃89  אתה דכאת כחלל רהב בזרוע עזך פזרת אויביך ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 12  
σοί εἰσιν οἱ οὐρανοί καὶ σή ἐστιν ἡ γη̃ τὴν οἰκουμένην καὶ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτη̃ς σὺ ἐθεμελίωσας
- C'est à toi qu'appartiennent les cieux et la terre, C'est toi qui as fondé le monde et ce qu'il renferme. (Ⅱ)
- The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them. (Ⅲ)
- Tui sunt cæli, et tua est terra :/ orbem terræ, et plenitudinem ejus tu fundasti ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃89  לך שמים אף לך ארץ תבל ומלאה אתה יסדתם ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 13  
τὸν βορρα̃ν καὶ θαλάσσας σὺ ἔκτισας Θαβωρ καὶ Ερμων ἐν τω̨̃ ὀνόματί σου ἀγαλλιάσονται
- Tu as créé le nord et le midi; Le Thabor et l'Hermon se réjouissent à ton nom. (Ⅱ)
- The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name. (Ⅲ)
- aquilonem et mare tu creasti./ Thabor et Hermon in nomine tuo exsultabunt :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃89  צפון וימין אתה בראתם תבור וחרמון בשמך ירננו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 14  
σὸς ὁ βραχίων μετὰ δυναστείας κραταιωθήτω ἡ χείρ σου ὑψωθήτω ἡ δεξιά σου
- Ton bras est puissant, Ta main forte, ta droite élevée. (Ⅱ)
- Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand. (Ⅲ)
- tuum brachium cum potentia./ Firmetur manus tua, et exaltetur dextera tua :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃89  לך זרוע עם גבורה תעז ידך תרום ימינך ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 15  
δικαιοσύνη καὶ κρίμα ἑτοιμασία του̃ θρόνου σου ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθεια προπορεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου σου
- La justice et l'équité sont la base de ton trône. La bonté et la fidélité sont devant ta face. (Ⅱ)
- Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. (Ⅲ)
- justitia et judicium præparatio sedis tuæ :/ misericordia et veritas præcedent faciem tuam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃89  צדק ומשפט מכון כסאך חסד ואמת יקדמו פניך ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 16  
μακάριος ὁ λαὸς ὁ γινώσκων ἀλαλαγμόν κύριε ἐν τω̨̃ φωτὶ του̃ προσώπου σου πορεύσονται
- Heureux le peuple qui connaît le son de la trompette; Il marche à la clarté de ta face, ô Éternel! (Ⅱ)
- Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. (Ⅲ)
- Beatus populus qui scit jubilationem :/ Domine, in lumine vultus tui ambulabunt,/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃89  אשרי העם יודעי תרועה יהוה באור פניך יהלכון ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 17  
καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ὀνόματί σου ἀγαλλιάσονται ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ δικαιοσύνη̨ σου ὑψωθήσονται
- Il se réjouit sans cesse de ton nom, Et il se glorifie de ta justice. (Ⅱ)
- In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. (Ⅲ)
- et in nomine tuo exsultabunt tota die,/ et in justitia tua exaltabuntur./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃89  בשמך יגילון כל היום ובצדקתך ירומו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 18  
ὅτι τὸ καύχημα τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτω̃ν εἰ̃ σύ καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ εὐδοκία̨ σου ὑψωθήσεται τὸ κέρας ἡμω̃ν
- Car tu es la gloire de sa puissance; C'est ta faveur qui relève notre force. (Ⅱ)
- For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. (Ⅲ)
- Quoniam gloria virtutis eorum tu es,/ et in beneplacito tuo exaltabitur cornu nostrum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃89  כי תפארת עזמו אתה וברצנך *תרים **תרום קרננו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 19  
ὅτι του̃ κυρίου ἡ ἀντίλημψις καὶ του̃ ἁγίου Ισραηλ βασιλέως ἡμω̃ν
- Car l'Éternel est notre bouclier, Le Saint d'Israël est notre roi. (Ⅱ)
- For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king. (Ⅲ)
- Quia Domini est assumptio nostra,/ et sancti Israël regis nostri./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃89  כי ליהוה מגננו ולקדוש ישראל מלכנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 20  
τότε ἐλάλησας ἐν ὁράσει τοι̃ς ὁσίοις σου καὶ εἰ̃πας ἐθέμην βοήθειαν ἐπὶ δυνατόν ὕψωσα ἐκλεκτὸν ἐκ του̃ λαου̃ μου
- Alors tu parlas dans une vision à ton bien-aimé, Et tu dis: J'ai prêté mon secours à un héros, J'ai élevé du milieu du peuple un jeune homme; (Ⅱ)
- Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. (Ⅲ)
- Tunc locutus es in visione sanctis tuis,/ et dixisti : Posui adjutorium in potente,/ et exaltavi electum de plebe mea./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃89  אז דברת בחזון לחסידיך ותאמר שויתי עזר על גבור הרימותי בחור מעם ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 21  
εὑ̃ρον Δαυιδ τὸν δου̃λόν μου ἐν ἐλαίω̨ ἁγίω̨ μου ἔχρισα αὐτόν
- J'ai trouvé David, mon serviteur, Je l'ai oint de mon huile sainte. (Ⅱ)
- I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: (Ⅲ)
- Inveni David, servum meum ;/ oleo sancto meo unxi eum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃89  מצאתי דוד עבדי בשמן קדשי משחתיו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 22  
ἡ γὰρ χείρ μου συναντιλήμψεται αὐτω̨̃ καὶ ὁ βραχίων μου κατισχύσει αὐτόν
- Ma main le soutiendra, Et mon bras le fortifiera. (Ⅱ)
- With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. (Ⅲ)
- Manus enim mea auxiliabitur ei,/ et brachium meum confortabit eum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃89  אשר ידי תכון עמו אף זרועי תאמצנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 23  
οὐκ ὠφελήσει ἐχθρὸς ἐν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ υἱὸς ἀνομίας οὐ προσθήσει του̃ κακω̃σαι αὐτόν
- L'ennemi ne le surprendra pas, Et le méchant ne l'opprimera point; (Ⅱ)
- The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. (Ⅲ)
- Nihil proficiet inimicus in eo,/ et filius iniquitatis non apponet nocere ei./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃89  לא ישא אויב בו ובן עולה לא יעננו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 24  
καὶ συγκόψω τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτου̃ καὶ τοὺς μισου̃ντας αὐτὸν τροπώσομαι
- J'écraserai devant lui ses adversaires, Et je frapperai ceux qui le haïssent. (Ⅱ)
- And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him. (Ⅲ)
- Et concidam a facie ipsius inimicos ejus,/ et odientes eum in fugam convertam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃89  וכתותי מפניו צריו ומשנאיו אגוף ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 25  
καὶ ἡ ἀλήθειά μου καὶ τὸ ἔλεός μου μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ὀνόματί μου ὑψωθήσεται τὸ κέρας αὐτου̃
- Ma fidélité et ma bonté seront avec lui, Et sa force s'élèvera par mon nom. (Ⅱ)
- But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted. (Ⅲ)
- Et veritas mea et misericordia mea cum ipso,/ et in nomine meo exaltabitur cornu ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃89  ואמונתי וחסדי עמו ובשמי תרום קרנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 26  
καὶ θήσομαι ἐν θαλάσση̨ χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐν ποταμοι̃ς δεξιὰν αὐτου̃
- Je mettrai sa main sur la mer, Et sa droite sur les fleuves. (Ⅱ)
- I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. (Ⅲ)
- Et ponam in mari manum ejus,/ et in fluminibus dexteram ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 26 ׃89  ושמתי בים ידו ובנהרות ימינו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 27  
αὐτὸς ἐπικαλέσεταί με πατήρ μου εἰ̃ σύ θεός μου καὶ ἀντιλήμπτωρ τη̃ς σωτηρίας μου
- Lui, il m'invoquera: Tu es mon père, Mon Dieu et le rocher de mon salut! (Ⅱ)
- He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. (Ⅲ)
- Ipse invocabit me : Pater meus es tu,/ Deus meus, et susceptor salutis meæ./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 27 ׃89  הוא יקראני אבי אתה אלי וצור ישועתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 28  
κἀγὼ πρωτότοκον θήσομαι αὐτόν ὑψηλὸν παρὰ τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν τη̃ς γη̃ς
- Et moi, je ferai de lui le premier-né, Le plus élevé des rois de la terre. (Ⅱ)
- Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. (Ⅲ)
- Et ego primogenitum ponam illum,/ excelsum præ regibus terræ./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 28 ׃89  אף אני בכור אתנהו עליון למלכי ארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 29  
εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να φυλάξω αὐτω̨̃ τὸ ἔλεός μου καὶ ἡ διαθήκη μου πιστὴ αὐτω̨̃
- Je lui conserverai toujours ma bonté, Et mon alliance lui sera fidèle; (Ⅱ)
- My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. (Ⅲ)
- In æternum servabo illi misericordiam meam,/ et testamentum meum fidele ipsi./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 29 ׃89  לעולם *אשמור **אשמר לו חסדי ובריתי נאמנת לו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 30  
καὶ θήσομαι εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να του̃ αἰω̃νος τὸ σπέρμα αὐτου̃ καὶ τὸν θρόνον αὐτου̃ ὡς τὰς ἡμέρας του̃ οὐρανου̃
- Je rendrai sa postérité éternelle, Et son trône comme les jours des cieux. (Ⅱ)
- His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. (Ⅲ)
- Et ponam in sæculum sæculi semen ejus,/ et thronum ejus sicut dies cæli./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 30 ׃89  ושמתי לעד זרעו וכסאו כימי שמים ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 31  
ἐὰν ἐγκαταλίπωσιν οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ τὸν νόμον μου καὶ τοι̃ς κρίμασίν μου μὴ πορευθω̃σιν
- Si ses fils abandonnent ma loi Et ne marchent pas selon ses ordonnances, (Ⅱ)
- If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; (Ⅲ)
- Si autem dereliquerint filii ejus legem meam,/ et in judiciis meis non ambulaverint ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 31 ׃89  אם יעזבו בניו תורתי ובמשפטי לא ילכון ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 32  
ἐὰν τὰ δικαιώματά μου βεβηλώσουσιν καὶ τὰς ἐντολάς μου μὴ φυλάξωσιν
- S'ils violent mes préceptes Et n'observent pas mes commandements, (Ⅱ)
- If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; (Ⅲ)
- si justitias meas profanaverint,/ et mandata mea non custodierint :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 32 ׃89  אם חקתי יחללו ומצותי לא ישמרו ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 33  
ἐπισκέψομαι ἐν ῥάβδω̨ τὰς ἀνομίας αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐν μάστιξιν τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτω̃ν
- Je punirai de la verge leurs transgressions, Et par des coups leurs iniquités; (Ⅱ)
- Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. (Ⅲ)
- visitabo in virga iniquitates eorum,/ et in verberibus peccata eorum ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 33 ׃89  ופקדתי בשבט פשעם ובנגעים עונם ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 34  
τὸ δὲ ἔλεός μου οὐ μὴ διασκεδάσω ἀπ' αὐτου̃ οὐδὲ μὴ ἀδικήσω ἐν τη̨̃ ἀληθεία̨ μου
- Mais je ne lui retirerai point ma bonté Et je ne trahirai pas ma fidélité, (Ⅱ)
- Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. (Ⅲ)
- misericordiam autem meam non dispergam ab eo,/ neque nocebo in veritate mea,/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 34 ׃89  וחסדי לא אפיר מעמו ולא אשקר באמונתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 35  
οὐδὲ μὴ βεβηλώσω τὴν διαθήκην μου καὶ τὰ ἐκπορευόμενα διὰ τω̃ν χειλέων μου οὐ μὴ ἀθετήσω
- Je ne violerai point mon alliance Et je ne changerai pas ce qui est sorti de mes lèvres. (Ⅱ)
- My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. (Ⅲ)
- neque profanabo testamentum meum :/ et quæ procedunt de labiis meis non faciam irrita./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 35 ׃89  לא אחלל בריתי ומוצא שפתי לא אשנה ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 36  
ἅπαξ ὤμοσα ἐν τω̨̃ ἁγίω̨ μου εἰ τω̨̃ Δαυιδ ψεύσομαι
- J'ai juré une fois par ma sainteté: Mentirai-je à David? (Ⅱ)
- Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. (Ⅲ)
- Semel juravi in sancto meo, si David mentiar :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 36 ׃89  אחת נשבעתי בקדשי אם לדוד אכזב ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 37  
τὸ σπέρμα αὐτου̃ εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να μενει̃ καὶ ὁ θρόνος αὐτου̃ ὡς ὁ ἥλιος ἐναντίον μου
- Sa postérité subsistera toujours; Son trône sera devant moi comme le soleil, (Ⅱ)
- His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. (Ⅲ)
- semen ejus in æternum manebit./ Et thronus ejus sicut sol in conspectu meo,/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 37 ׃89  זרעו לעולם יהיה וכסאו כשמש נגדי ‬ (Ⅴ)
89. 38  
καὶ ὡς ἡ σελήνη κατηρτισμένη εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να καὶ ὁ μάρτυς ἐν οὐρανω̨̃ πιστός διάψαλμα
- Comme la lune il aura une éternelle durée. Le témoin qui est dans le ciel est fidèle. Pause. (Ⅱ)
- It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. (Ⅲ)

σὺ δὲ ἀπώσω καὶ ἐξουδένωσας ἀνεβάλου τὸν χριστόν σου
- Et pourtant, tu as rejeté, tu as repoussé! Tu t'es irrité contre ton oint! (Ⅱ)
- But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed. (Ⅲ)
- Tu vero repulisti et despexisti ;/ distulisti christum tuum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 39 ׃89  ואתה זנחת ותמאס התעברת עם משיחך ‬ (Ⅴ)

κατέστρεψας τὴν διαθήκην του̃ δούλου σου ἐβεβήλωσας εἰς τὴν γη̃ν τὸ ἁγίασμα αὐτου̃
- Tu as dédaigné l'alliance avec ton serviteur; Tu as abattu, profané sa couronne. (Ⅱ)
- Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground. (Ⅲ)
- Evertisti testamentum servi tui ;/ profanasti in terra sanctuarium ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 40 ׃89  נארתה ברית עבדך חללת לארץ נזרו ‬ (Ⅴ)

καθει̃λες πάντας τοὺς φραγμοὺς αὐτου̃ ἔθου τὰ ὀχυρώματα αὐτου̃ δειλίαν
- Tu as détruit toutes ses murailles, Tu as mis en ruines ses forteresses. (Ⅱ)
- Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin. (Ⅲ)
- Destruxisti omnes sepes ejus ;/ posuisti firmamentum ejus formidinem./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 41 ׃89  פרצת כל גדרתיו שמת מבצריו מחתה‪[1]‬ ‬ (Ⅴ)

διήρπασαν αὐτὸν πάντες οἱ διοδεύοντες ὁδόν ἐγενήθη ὄνειδος τοι̃ς γείτοσιν αὐτου̃
- Tous les passants le dépouillent; Il est un objet d'opprobre pour ses voisins. (Ⅱ)
- All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours. (Ⅲ)
- Diripuerunt eum omnes transeuntes viam ;/ factus est opprobrium vicinis suis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 42 ׃89  שסהו כל עברי דרך היה חרפה לשכניו ‬ (Ⅴ)

ὕψωσας τὴν δεξιὰν τω̃ν ἐχθρω̃ν αὐτου̃ εὔφρανας πάντας τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτου̃
- Tu as élevé la droite de ses adversaires, Tu as réjoui tous ses ennemis; (Ⅱ)
- Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice. (Ⅲ)
- Exaltasti dexteram deprimentium eum ;/ lætificasti omnes inimicos ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 43 ׃89  הרימות ימין צריו השמחת כל אויביו ‬ (Ⅴ)

ἀπέστρεψας τὴν βοήθειαν τη̃ς ῥομφαίας αὐτου̃ καὶ οὐκ ἀντελάβου αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ πολέμω̨
- Tu as fait reculer le tranchant de son glaive, Et tu ne l'as pas soutenu dans le combat. (Ⅱ)
- Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle. (Ⅲ)
- Avertisti adjutorium gladii ejus,/ et non es auxiliatus ei in bello./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 44 ׃89  אף תשיב צור חרבו ולא הקימתו במלחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

κατέλυσας ἀπὸ καθαρισμου̃ αὐτόν τὸν θρόνον αὐτου̃ εἰς τὴν γη̃ν κατέρραξας
- Tu as mis un terme à sa splendeur, Et tu as jeté son trône à terre; (Ⅱ)
- Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground. (Ⅲ)
- Destruxisti eum ab emundatione,/ et sedem ejus in terram collisisti./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 45 ׃89  השבת מטהרו וכסאו לארץ מגרתה ‬ (Ⅴ)

ἐσμίκρυνας τὰς ἡμέρας του̃ χρόνου αὐτου̃ κατέχεας αὐτου̃ αἰσχύνην διάψαλμα
- Tu as abrégé les jours de sa jeunesse, Tu l'as couvert de honte. Pause. (Ⅱ)
- The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah. (Ⅲ)
- Minorasti dies temporis ejus ;/ perfudisti eum confusione./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 46 ׃89  הקצרת ימי עלומיו העטית עליו בושה סלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

ἕως πότε κύριε ἀποστρέψεις εἰς τέλος ἐκκαυθήσεται ὡς πυ̃ρ ἡ ὀργή σου
- Jusques à quand, Éternel! te cacheras-tu sans cesse, Et ta fureur s'embrasera-t-elle comme le feu? (Ⅱ)
- How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire? (Ⅲ)
- Usquequo, Domine, avertis in finem ?/ exardescet sicut ignis ira tua ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 47 ׃89  עד מה יהוה תסתר לנצח תבער כמו אש חמתך ‬ (Ⅴ)

μνήσθητι τίς μου ἡ ὑπόστασις μὴ γὰρ ματαίως ἔκτισας πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς τω̃ν ἀνθρώπων
- Rappelle-toi ce qu'est la durée de ma vie, Et pour quel néant tu as créé tous les fils de l'homme. (Ⅱ)
- Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain? (Ⅲ)
- Memorare quæ mea substantia :/ numquid enim vane constituisti omnes filios hominum ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 48 ׃89  זכר אני מה חלד על מה שוא בראת כל בני אדם ‬ (Ⅴ)

τίς ἐστιν ἄνθρωπος ὃς ζήσεται καὶ οὐκ ὄψεται θάνατον ῥύσεται τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτου̃ ἐκ χειρὸς ἅ̨δου διάψαλμα
- Y a-t-il un homme qui puisse vivre et ne pas voir la mort, Qui puisse sauver son âme du séjour des morts? Pause. (Ⅱ)
- What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah. (Ⅲ)
- Quis est homo qui vivet et non videbit mortem ?/ eruet animam suam de manu inferi ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 49 ׃89  מי גבר יחיה ולא יראה מות ימלט נפשו מיד שאול סלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

που̃ εἰσιν τὰ ἐλέη σου τὰ ἀρχαι̃α κύριε ἃ ὤμοσας τω̨̃ Δαυιδ ἐν τη̨̃ ἀληθεία̨ σου
- Où sont, Seigneur! tes bontés premières, Que tu juras à David dans ta fidélité? (Ⅱ)
- Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth? (Ⅲ)
- Ubi sunt misericordiæ tuæ antiquæ, Domine,/ sicut jurasti David in veritate tua ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 50 ׃89  איה חסדיך הראשנים אדני נשבעת לדוד באמונתך ‬ (Ⅴ)
