33. 1

And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

- L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Va, pars d'ici, toi et le peuple que tu as fait sortir du pays d'Égypte; monte vers le pays que j'ai juré de donner à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, en disant: Je le donnerai à ta postérité. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν πορεύου ἀνάβηθι ἐντευ̃θεν σὺ καὶ ὁ λαός σου οὓς ἐξήγαγες ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ἣν ὤμοσα τω̨̃ Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ λέγων τω̨̃ σπέρματι ὑμω̃ν δώσω αὐτήν (Ⅲ)

- Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens : Vade, ascende de loco isto tu, et populus tuus quem eduxisti de terra Ægypti, in terram quam juravi Abraham, Isaac et Jacob, dicens : Semini tuo dabo eam : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃33 וידבר יהוה אל משה לך עלה מזה אתה והעם אשר העלית מארץ מצרים אל הארץ אשר נשבעתי לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לאמר לזרעך אתננה ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 2

And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

- J'enverrai devant toi un ange, et je chasserai les Cananéens, les Amoréens, les Héthiens, les Phéréziens, les Héviens et les Jébusiens. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ συναποστελω̃ τὸν ἄγγελόν μου πρὸ προσώπου σου καὶ ἐκβαλει̃ τὸν Αμορραι̃ον καὶ Χετται̃ον καὶ Φερεζαι̃ον καὶ Γεργεσαι̃ον καὶ Ευαι̃ον καὶ Ιεβουσαι̃ον (Ⅲ)

- et mittam præcursorem tui angelum, ut ejiciam Chananæum, et Amorrhæum, et Hethæum, et Pherezæum, et Hevæum, et Jebusæum, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃33 ושלחתי לפניך מלאך וגרשתי את הכנעני האמרי והחתי והפרזי החוי והיבוסי ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 3

Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

- Monte vers ce pays où coulent le lait et le miel. Mais je ne monterai point au milieu de toi, de peur que je ne te consume en chemin, car tu es un peuple au cou roide. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰσάξω σε εἰς γη̃ν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι οὐ γὰρ μὴ συναναβω̃ μετὰ σου̃ διὰ τὸ λαὸν σκληροτράχηλόν σε εἰ̃ναι ἵνα μὴ ἐξαναλώσω σε ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- et intres in terram fluentem lacte et melle. Non enim ascendam tecum, quia populus duræ cervicis es : ne forte disperdam te in via. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃33 אל ארץ זבת חלב ודבש כי לא אעלה בקרבך כי עם קשה ערף אתה פן אכלך בדרך ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 4

And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

- Lorsque le peuple eut entendu ces sinistres paroles, il fut dans la désolation, et personne ne mit ses ornements. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀκούσας ὁ λαὸς τὸ ῥη̃μα τὸ πονηρὸν του̃το κατεπένθησαν ἐν πενθικοι̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Audiensque populus sermonem hunc pessimum, luxit : et nullus ex more indutus est cultu suo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃33 וישמע העם את הדבר הרע הזה ויתאבלו ולא שתו איש עדיו עליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 5

For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

- Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse: Dis aux enfants d'Israël: Vous êtes un peuple au cou roide; si je montais un seul instant au milieu de toi, je te consumerais. Ote maintenant tes ornements de dessus toi, et je verrai ce que je te ferai. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ ὑμει̃ς λαὸς σκληροτράχηλος ὁρα̃τε μὴ πληγὴν ἄλλην ἐπάξω ἐγὼ ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς καὶ ἐξαναλώσω ὑμα̃ς νυ̃ν οὐ̃ν ἀφέλεσθε τὰς στολὰς τω̃ν δοξω̃ν ὑμω̃ν καὶ τὸν κόσμον καὶ δείξω σοι ἃ ποιήσω σοι (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen : Loquere filiis Israël : Populus duræ cervicis es : semel ascendam in medio tui, et delebo te. Jam nunc depone ornatum tuum, ut sciam quid faciam tibi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃33 ויאמר יהוה אל משה אמר אל בני ישראל אתם עם קשה ערף רגע אחד אעלה בקרבך וכליתיך ועתה הורד עדיך מעליך ואדעה מה אעשה לך ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 6

And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

- Les enfants d'Israël se dépouillèrent de leurs ornements, en s'éloignant du mont Horeb. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ περιείλαντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὸν κόσμον αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὴν περιστολὴν ἀπὸ του̃ ὄρους του̃ Χωρηβ (Ⅲ)

- Deposuerunt ergo filii Israël ornatum suum a monte Horeb.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃33 ויתנצלו בני ישראל את עדים מהר חורב ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 7

And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

- Moïse prit la tente et la dressa hors du camp, à quelque distance; il l'appela tente d'assignation; et tous ceux qui consultaient l'Éternel allaient vers la tente d'assignation, qui était hors du camp. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ λαβὼν Μωυση̃ς τὴν σκηνὴν αὐτου̃ ἔπηξεν ἔξω τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς μακρὰν ἀπὸ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς καὶ ἐκλήθη σκηνὴ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐγένετο πα̃ς ὁ ζητω̃ν κύριον ἐξεπορεύετο εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν ἔξω τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Moyses quoque tollens tabernaculum, tetendit extra castra procul, vocavitque nomen ejus, Tabernaculum fœderis. Et omnis populus, qui habebat aliquam quæstionem, egrediebatur ad tabernaculum fœderis, extra castra. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃33 ומשה יקח את האהל ונטה לו מחוץ למחנה הרחק מן המחנה וקרא לו אהל מועד והיה כל מבקש יהוה יצא אל אהל מועד אשר מחוץ למחנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 8

And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

- Lorsque Moïse se rendait à la tente, tout le peuple se levait; chacun se tenait à l'entrée de sa tente, et suivait des yeux Moïse, jusqu'à ce qu'il fût entré dans la tente. (Ⅱ)

- ἡνίκα δ' ἂν εἰσεπορεύετο Μωυση̃ς εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν ἔξω τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς εἱστήκει πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς σκοπεύοντες ἕκαστος παρὰ τὰς θύρας τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς αὐτου̃ καὶ κατενοου̃σαν ἀπιόντος Μωυση̃ ἕως του̃ εἰσελθει̃ν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν σκηνήν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque egrederetur Moyses ad tabernaculum, surgebat universa plebs, et stabat unusquisque in ostio papilionis sui, aspiciebantque tergum Moysi, donec ingrederetur tentorium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃33 והיה כצאת משה אל האהל יקומו כל העם ונצבו איש פתח אהלו והביטו אחרי משה עד באו האהלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 9

And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.

- Et lorsque Moïse était entré dans la tente, la colonne de nuée descendait et s'arrêtait à l'entrée de la tente, et l'Éternel parlait avec Moïse. (Ⅱ)

- ὡς δ' ἂν εἰση̃λθεν Μωυση̃ς εἰς τὴν σκηνήν κατέβαινεν ὁ στυ̃λος τη̃ς νεφέλης καὶ ἵστατο ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς καὶ ἐλάλει Μωυση̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Ingresso autem illo tabernaculum fœderis, descendebat columna nubis, et stabat ad ostium, loquebaturque cum Moyse, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃33 והיה כבא משה האהלה ירד עמוד הענן ועמד פתח האהל ודבר עם משה ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 10

And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

- Tout le peuple voyait la colonne de nuée qui s'arrêtait à l'entrée de la tente, tout le peuple se levait et se prosternait à l'entrée de sa tente. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἑώρα πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς τὸν στυ̃λον τη̃ς νεφέλης ἑστω̃τα ἐπὶ τη̃ς θύρας τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς καὶ στάντες πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς προσεκύνησαν ἕκαστος ἀπὸ τη̃ς θύρας τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- cernentibus universis quod columna nubis staret ad ostium tabernaculi. Stabantque ipsi, et adorabant per fores tabernaculorum suorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃33 וראה כל העם את עמוד הענן עמד פתח האהל וקם כל העם והשתחוו‪[1]‬ איש פתח אהלו ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 11

And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

- L'Éternel parlait avec Moïse face à face, comme un homme parle à son ami. Puis Moïse retournait au camp; mais son jeune serviteur, Josué, fils de Nun, ne sortait pas du milieu de la tente. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν ἐνώπιος ἐνωπίω̨ ὡς εἴ τις λαλήσει πρὸς τὸν ἑαυτου̃ φίλον καὶ ἀπελύετο εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν ὁ δὲ θεράπων 'Ιησου̃ς υἱὸς Ναυη νέος οὐκ ἐξεπορεύετο ἐκ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Loquebatur autem Dominus ad Moysen facie ad faciem, sicut solet loqui homo ad amicum suum. Cumque ille reverteretur in castra, minister ejus Josue filius Nun, puer, non recedebat de tabernaculo.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃33 ודבר יהוה אל משה פנים אל פנים כאשר ידבר איש אל רעהו ושב אל המחנה ומשרתו יהושע בן נון נער לא ימיש מתוך האהל ס‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 12

And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

- Moïse dit à l'Éternel: Voici, tu me dis: Fais monter ce peuple! Et tu ne me fais pas connaître qui tu enverras avec moi. Cependant, tu as dit: Je te connais par ton nom, et tu as trouvé grâce à mes yeux. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μωυση̃ς πρὸς κύριον ἰδοὺ σύ μοι λέγεις ἀνάγαγε τὸν λαὸν του̃τον σὺ δὲ οὐκ ἐδήλωσάς μοι ὃν συναποστελει̃ς μετ' ἐμου̃ σὺ δέ μοι εἰ̃πας οἰ̃δά σε παρὰ πάντας καὶ χάριν ἔχεις παρ' ἐμοί (Ⅲ)

- Dixit autem Moyses ad Dominum : Præcipis ut educam populum istum : et non indicas mihi quem missurus es mecum, præsertim cum dixeris : Novi te ex nomine, et invenisti gratiam coram me. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃33 ויאמר משה אל יהוה ראה אתה אמר אלי העל את העם הזה ואתה לא הודעתני את אשר תשלח עמי ואתה אמרת ידעתיך בשם וגם מצאת חן בעיני ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 13

Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

- Maintenant, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, fais-moi connaître tes voies; alors je te connaîtrai, et je trouverai encore grâce à tes yeux. Considère que cette nation est ton peuple. (Ⅱ)

- εἰ οὐ̃ν εὕρηκα χάριν ἐναντίον σου ἐμφάνισόν μοι σεαυτόν γνωστω̃ς ἴδω σε ὅπως ἂν ὠ̃ εὑρηκὼς χάριν ἐναντίον σου καὶ ἵνα γνω̃ ὅτι λαός σου τὸ ἔθνος τὸ μέγα του̃το (Ⅲ)

- Si ergo inveni gratiam in conspectu tuo, ostende mihi faciem tuam, ut sciam te, et inveniam gratiam ante oculos tuos : respice populum tuum gentem hanc. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃33 ועתה אם נא מצאתי חן בעיניך הודעני נא את דרכך ואדעך למען אמצא חן בעיניך וראה כי עמך הגוי הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 14

And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

- L'Éternel répondit: Je marcherai moi-même avec toi, et je te donnerai du repos. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ λέγει αὐτὸς προπορεύσομαί σου καὶ καταπαύσω σε (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Dominus : Facies mea præcedet te, et requiem dabo tibi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃33 ויאמר פני ילכו והנחתי לך ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 15

And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

- Moïse lui dit: Si tu ne marches pas toi-même avec nous, ne nous fais point partir d'ici. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ λέγει πρὸς αὐτόν εἰ μὴ αὐτὸς σὺ πορεύη̨ μή με ἀναγάγη̨ς ἐντευ̃θεν (Ⅲ)

- Et ait Moyses : Si non tu ipse præcedas, ne educas nos de loco isto. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃33 ויאמר אליו אם אין פניך הלכים אל תעלנו מזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 16

For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

- Comment sera-t-il donc certain que j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, moi et ton peuple? Ne sera-ce pas quand tu marcheras avec nous, et quand nous serons distingués, moi et ton peuple, de tous les peuples qui sont sur la face de la terre? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πω̃ς γνωστὸν ἔσται ἀληθω̃ς ὅτι εὕρηκα χάριν παρὰ σοί ἐγώ τε καὶ ὁ λαός σου ἀλλ' ἢ συμπορευομένου σου μεθ' ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἐνδοξασθήσομαι ἐγώ τε καὶ ὁ λαός σου παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ὅσα ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ἐστιν (Ⅲ)

- In quo enim scire poterimus ego et populus tuus invenisse nos gratiam in conspectu tuo, nisi ambulaveris nobiscum, ut glorificemur ab omnibus populis qui habitant super terram ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃33 ובמה יודע אפוא כי מצאתי חן בעיניך אני ועמך הלוא בלכתך עמנו ונפלינו‪[1]‬ אני ועמך מכל העם אשר על פני האדמה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 17

And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

- L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Je ferai ce que tu me demandes, car tu as trouvé grâce à mes yeux, et je te connais par ton nom. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν καὶ του̃τόν σοι τὸν λόγον ὃν εἴρηκας ποιήσω εὕρηκας γὰρ χάριν ἐνώπιόν μου καὶ οἰ̃δά σε παρὰ πάντας (Ⅲ)

- Dixit autem Dominus ad Moysen : Et verbum istud, quod locutus es, faciam : invenisti enim gratiam coram me, et teipsum novi ex nomine.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃33 ויאמר יהוה אל משה גם את הדבר הזה אשר דברת אעשה כי מצאת חן בעיני ואדעך בשם ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 18

And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory.

- Moïse dit: Fais-moi voir ta gloire! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ λέγει δει̃ξόν μοι τὴν σεαυτου̃ δόξαν (Ⅲ)

- Qui ait : Ostende mihi gloriam tuam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃33 ויאמר הראני נא את כבדך ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 19

And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

- L'Éternel répondit: Je ferai passer devant toi toute ma bonté, et je proclamerai devant toi le nom de l'Éternel; je fais grâce à qui je fais grâce, et miséricorde à qui je fais miséricorde. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐγὼ παρελεύσομαι πρότερός σου τη̨̃ δόξη̨ μου καὶ καλέσω ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματί μου κύριος ἐναντίον σου καὶ ἐλεήσω ὃν ἂν ἐλεω̃ καὶ οἰκτιρήσω ὃν ἂν οἰκτίρω (Ⅲ)

- Respondit : Ego ostendam omne bonum tibi, et vocabo in nomine Domini coram te : et miserebor cui voluero, et clemens ero in quem mihi placuerit. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃33 ויאמר אני אעביר כל טובי על פניך וקראתי בשם יהוה לפניך וחנתי את אשר אחן ורחמתי את אשר ארחם ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 20

And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

- L'Éternel dit: Tu ne pourras pas voir ma face, car l'homme ne peut me voir et vivre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν οὐ δυνήση̨ ἰδει̃ν μου τὸ πρόσωπον οὐ γὰρ μὴ ἴδη̨ ἄνθρωπος τὸ πρόσωπόν μου καὶ ζήσεται (Ⅲ)

- Rursumque ait : Non poteris videre faciem meam : non enim videbit me homo et vivet. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃33 ויאמר לא תוכל לראת את פני כי לא יראני האדם וחי ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 21

And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

- L'Éternel dit: Voici un lieu près de moi; tu te tiendras sur le rocher. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος ἰδοὺ τόπος παρ' ἐμοί στήση̨ ἐπὶ τη̃ς πέτρας (Ⅲ)

- Et iterum : Ecce, inquit, est locus apud me, et stabis supra petram. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃33 ויאמר יהוה הנה מקום אתי ונצבת על הצור ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 22

And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

- Quand ma gloire passera, je te mettrai dans un creux du rocher, et je te couvrirai de ma main jusqu'à ce que j'aie passé. (Ⅱ)

- ἡνίκα δ' ἂν παρέλθη̨ μου ἡ δόξα καὶ θήσω σε εἰς ὀπὴν τη̃ς πέτρας καὶ σκεπάσω τη̨̃ χειρί μου ἐπὶ σέ ἕως ἂν παρέλθω (Ⅲ)

- Cumque transibit gloria mea, ponam te in foramine petræ, et protegam dextera mea, donec transeam : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃33 והיה בעבר כבדי ושמתיך בנקרת הצור ושכתי כפי עליך עד עברי ‬ (Ⅴ)

33. 23

And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

- Et lorsque je retournerai ma main, tu me verras par derrière, mais ma face ne pourra pas être vue. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀφελω̃ τὴν χει̃ρα καὶ τότε ὄψη̨ τὰ ὀπίσω μου τὸ δὲ πρόσωπόν μου οὐκ ὀφθήσεταί σοι (Ⅲ)

- tollamque manum meam, et videbis posteriora mea : faciem autem meam videre non poteris. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃33 והסרתי את כפי וראית את אחרי ופני לא יראו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
