And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
- Puis un rameau sortira du tronc d'Isaï, Et un rejeton naîtra de ses racines. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξελεύσεται ῥάβδος ἐκ τη̃ς ῥίζης Ιεσσαι καὶ ἄνθος ἐκ τη̃ς ῥίζης ἀναβήσεται (Ⅲ) - Et egredietur virga de radice Jesse,/ et flos de radice ejus ascendet./ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃11 ויצא חטר מגזע ישי ונצר משרשיו יפרה (Ⅴ)

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
- L'Esprit de l'Éternel reposera sur lui: Esprit de sagesse et d'intelligence, Esprit de conseil et de force, Esprit de connaissance et de crainte de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀναπαύσεται ἐπ' αὐτὸν πνευ̃μα του̃ θεου̃ πνευ̃μα σοφίας καὶ συνέσεως πνευ̃μα βουλη̃ς καὶ ἰσχύος πνευ̃μα γνώσεως καὶ εὐσεβείας (Ⅲ) - Et requiescet super eum spiritus Domini :/ spiritus sapientiæ et intellectus,/ spiritus consilii et fortitudinis,/ spiritus scientiæ et pietatis ;/ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃11 ונחה עליו רוח יהוה רוח חכמה ובינה רוח עצה וגבורה רוח דעת ויראת יהוה (Ⅴ)

And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
- Il respirera la crainte de l'Éternel; Il ne jugera point sur l'apparence, Il ne prononcera point sur un ouï-dire. (Ⅱ) - ἐμπλήσει αὐτὸν πνευ̃μα φόβου θεου̃ οὐ κατὰ τὴν δόξαν κρινει̃ οὐδὲ κατὰ τὴν λαλιὰν ἐλέγξει (Ⅲ) - et replebit eum spiritus timoris Domini./ Non secundum visionem oculorum judicabit,/ neque secundum auditum aurium arguet ;/ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃11 והריחו ביראת יהוה ולא למראה עיניו ישפוט ולא למשמע אזניו יוכיח (Ⅴ)

But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
- Mais il jugera les pauvres avec équité, Et il prononcera avec droiture sur les malheureux de la terre; Il frappera la terre de sa parole comme d'une verge, Et du souffle de ses lèvres il fera mourir le méchant. (Ⅱ) - ἀλλὰ κρινει̃ ταπεινω̨̃ κρίσιν καὶ ἐλέγξει τοὺς ταπεινοὺς τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ πατάξει γη̃ν τω̨̃ λόγω̨ του̃ στόματος αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐν πνεύματι διὰ χειλέων ἀνελει̃ ἀσεβη̃ (Ⅲ) - sed judicabit in justitia pauperes,/ et arguet in æquitate pro mansuetis terræ ;/ et percutiet terram virga oris sui,/ et spiritu labiorum suorum interficiet impium./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃11 ושפט בצדק דלים והוכיח במישור לענוי ארץ והכה ארץ בשבט פיו וברוח שפתיו ימית רשע (Ⅴ)

And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
- La justice sera la ceinture de ses flancs, Et la fidélité la ceinture de ses reins. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται δικαιοσύνη̨ ἐζωσμένος τὴν ὀσφὺν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀληθεία̨ εἰλημένος τὰς πλευράς (Ⅲ) - Et erit justitia cingulum lumborum ejus,/ et fides cinctorium renum ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃11 והיה צדק אזור מתניו והאמונה אזור חלציו (Ⅴ)

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
- Le loup habitera avec l'agneau, Et la panthère se couchera avec le chevreau; Le veau, le lionceau, et le bétail qu'on engraisse, seront ensemble, Et un petit enfant les conduira. (Ⅱ) - καὶ συμβοσκηθήσεται λύκος μετὰ ἀρνός καὶ πάρδαλις συναναπαύσεται ἐρίφω̨ καὶ μοσχάριον καὶ ταυ̃ρος καὶ λέων ἅμα βοσκηθήσονται καὶ παιδίον μικρὸν ἄξει αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Habitabit lupus cum agno,/ et pardus cum hædo accubabit ;/ vitulus, et leo, et ovis, simul morabuntur,/ et puer parvulus minabit eos./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃11 וגר זאב עם כבש ונמר עם גדי ירבץ ועגל וכפיר ומריא יחדו ונער קטן נהג בם (Ⅴ)

And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
- La vache et l'ourse auront un même pâturage, Leurs petits un même gîte; Et le lion, comme le boeuf, mangera de la paille. (Ⅱ) - καὶ βου̃ς καὶ ἄρκος ἅμα βοσκηθήσονται καὶ ἅμα τὰ παιδία αὐτω̃ν ἔσονται καὶ λέων καὶ βου̃ς ἅμα φάγονται ἄχυρα (Ⅲ) - Vitulus et ursus pascentur,/ simul requiescent catuli eorum ;/ et leo quasi bos comedet paleas./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃11 ופרה ודב תרעינה יחדו ירבצו ילדיהן ואריה כבקר יאכל תבן (Ⅴ)

And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
- Le nourrisson s'ébattra sur l'antre de la vipère, Et l'enfant sevré mettra sa main dans la caverne du basilic. (Ⅱ) - καὶ παιδίον νήπιον ἐπὶ τρώγλην ἀσπίδων καὶ ἐπὶ κοίτην ἐκγόνων ἀσπίδων τὴν χει̃ρα ἐπιβαλει̃ (Ⅲ) - Et delectabitur infans ab ubere super foramine aspidis ;/ et in caverna reguli/ qui ablactatus fuerit manum suam mittet./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃11 ושעשע יונק על חר פתן ועל מאורת צפעוני גמול ידו הדה (Ⅴ)

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
- Il ne se fera ni tort ni dommage Sur toute ma montagne sainte; Car la terre sera remplie de la connaissance de l'Éternel, Comme le fond de la mer par les eaux qui le couvrent. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐ μὴ κακοποιήσωσιν οὐδὲ μὴ δύνωνται ἀπολέσαι οὐδένα ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἅγιόν μου ὅτι ἐνεπλήσθη ἡ σύμπασα του̃ γνω̃ναι τὸν κύριον ὡς ὕδωρ πολὺ κατακαλύψαι θαλάσσας (Ⅲ) - Non nocebunt, et non occident/ in universo monte sancto meo,/ quia repleta est terra scientia Domini, sicut aquæ maris operientes.]\ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃11 לא ירעו ולא ישחיתו בכל הר קדשי כי מלאה הארץ דעה את יהוה כמים לים מכסים פ (Ⅴ)

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
- En ce jour, le rejeton d'Isaï Sera là comme une bannière pour les peuples; Les nations se tourneront vers lui, Et la gloire sera sa demeure. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἡ ῥίζα του̃ Ιεσσαι καὶ ὁ ἀνιστάμενος ἄρχειν ἐθνω̃ν ἐπ' αὐτω̨̃ ἔθνη ἐλπιου̃σιν καὶ ἔσται ἡ ἀνάπαυσις αὐτου̃ τιμή (Ⅲ) - In die illa radix Jesse,/ qui stat in signum populorum,/ ipsum gentes deprecabuntur,/ et erit sepulchrum ejus gloriosum./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃11 והיה ביום ההוא שרש ישי אשר עמד לנס עמים אליו גוים ידרשו והיתה מנחתו כבוד פ (Ⅴ)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
- Dans ce même temps, le Seigneur étendra une seconde fois sa main, Pour racheter le reste de son peuple, Dispersé en Assyrie et en Égypte, A Pathros et en Éthiopie, A Élam, à Schinear et à Hamath, Et dans les îles de la mer. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ προσθήσει κύριος του̃ δει̃ξαι τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ του̃ ζηλω̃σαι τὸ καταλειφθὲν ὑπόλοιπον του̃ λαου̃ ὃ ἂν καταλειφθη̨̃ ἀπὸ τω̃ν 'Ασσυρίων καὶ ἀπὸ Αἰγύπτου καὶ Βαβυλωνίας καὶ Αἰθιοπίας καὶ ἀπὸ Αιλαμιτω̃ν καὶ ἀπὸ ἡλίου ἀνατολω̃ν καὶ ἐξ 'Αραβίας (Ⅲ) - Et erit in die illa : adjiciet Dominus secundo manum suam/ ad possidendum residuum populi sui,/ quod relinquetur ab Assyriis, et ab Ægypto,/ et a Phetros, et ab Æthiopia, et ab Ælam, et a Sennaar,/ et ab Emath, et ab insulis maris./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃11 והיה ביום ההוא יוסיף אדני שנית ידו לקנות את שאר עמו אשר ישאר מאשור וממצרים ומפתרוס ומכוש ומעילם ומשנער ומחמת ומאיי הים (Ⅴ)

And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
- Il élèvera une bannière pour les nations, Il rassemblera les exilés d'Israël, Et il recueillera les dispersés de Juda, Des quatre extrémités de la terre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀρει̃ σημει̃ον εἰς τὰ ἔθνη καὶ συνάξει τοὺς ἀπολομένους Ισραηλ καὶ τοὺς διεσπαρμένους του̃ Ιουδα συνάξει ἐκ τω̃ν τεσσάρων πτερύγων τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et levabit signum in nationes,/ et congregabit profugos Israël,/ et dispersos Juda colliget/ a quatuor plagis terræ./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃11 ונשא נס לגוים ואסף נדחי ישראל ונפצות יהודה יקבץ מארבע כנפות הארץ (Ⅴ)

The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
- La jalousie d'Éphraïm disparaîtra, Et ses ennemis en Juda seront anéantis; Éphraïm ne sera plus jaloux de Juda, Et Juda ne sera plus hostile à Éphraïm. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀφαιρεθήσεται ὁ ζη̃λος Εφραιμ καὶ οἱ ἐχθροὶ Ιουδα ἀπολου̃νται Εφραιμ οὐ ζηλώσει Ιουδαν καὶ Ιουδας οὐ θλίψει Εφραιμ (Ⅲ) - Et auferetur zelus Ephraim,/ et hostes Juda peribunt ;/ Ephraim non æmulabitur Judam,/ et Judas non pugnabit contra Ephraim./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃11 וסרה קנאת אפרים וצררי יהודה יכרתו אפרים לא יקנא את יהודה ויהודה לא יצר את אפרים (Ⅴ)

But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
- Ils voleront sur l'épaule des Philistins à l'occident, Ils pilleront ensemble les fils de l'Orient; Édom et Moab seront la proie de leurs mains, Et les fils d'Ammon leur seront assujettis. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πετασθήσονται ἐν πλοίοις ἀλλοφύλων θάλασσαν ἅμα προνομεύσουσιν καὶ τοὺς ἀφ' ἡλίου ἀνατολω̃ν καὶ Ιδουμαίαν καὶ ἐπὶ Μωαβ πρω̃τον τὰς χει̃ρας ἐπιβαλου̃σιν οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Αμμων πρω̃τοι ὑπακούσονται (Ⅲ) - Et volabunt in humeros Philisthiim per mare,/ simul prædabuntur filios orientis ;/ Idumæa et Moab præceptum manus eorum,/ et filii Ammon obedientes erunt./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃11 ועפו בכתף פלשתים ימה יחדו יבזו את בני קדם אדום ומואב משלוח[1] ידם ובני עמון משמעתם (Ⅴ)

And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.
- L'Éternel desséchera la langue de la mer d'Égypte, Et il lèvera sa main sur le fleuve, en soufflant avec violence: Il le partagera en sept canaux, Et on le traversera avec des souliers. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐρημώσει κύριος τὴν θάλασσαν Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐπιβαλει̃ τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ ἐπὶ τὸν ποταμὸν πνεύματι βιαίω̨ καὶ πατάξει ἑπτὰ φάραγγας ὥστε διαπορεύεσθαι αὐτὸν ἐν ὑποδήμασιν (Ⅲ) - Et desolabit Dominus linguam maris Ægypti,/ et levabit manum suam super flumen in fortitudine spiritus sui ;/ et percutiet eum in septem rivis,/ ita ut transeant per eum calceati./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃11 והחרים יהוה את לשון ים מצרים והניף ידו על הנהר בעים רוחו והכהו לשבעה נחלים והדריך בנעלים (Ⅴ)

And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
- Et il y aura une route pour le reste de son peuple, Qui sera échappé de l'Assyrie, Comme il y en eut une pour Israël, Le jour où il sortit du pays d'Égypte. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται δίοδος τω̨̃ καταλειφθέντι μου λαω̨̃ ἐν Αἰγύπτω̨ καὶ ἔσται τω̨̃ Ισραηλ ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα ὅτε ἐξη̃λθεν ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου (Ⅲ) - Et erit via residuo populo meo/ qui relinquetur ab Assyriis,/ sicut fuit Israëli/ in die illa qua ascendit de terra Ægypti.] (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃11 והיתה מסלה לשאר עמו אשר ישאר מאשור כאשר היתה לישראל ביום עלתו מארץ מצרים (Ⅴ)
