Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
- Envoyez les agneaux au souverain du pays, Envoyez-les de Séla, par le désert, A la montagne de la fille de Sion. (Ⅱ) - ἀποστελω̃ ὡς ἑρπετὰ ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν μὴ πέτρα ἔρημός ἐστιν τὸ ὄρος Σιων (Ⅲ) - Emitte agnum, Domine, dominatorem terræ,/ de petra deserti/ ad montem filiæ Sion./ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃16 שלחו כר משל ארץ מסלע מדברה אל הר בת ציון (Ⅴ)

For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.
- Tel un oiseau fugitif, telle une nichée effarouchée, Telles seront les filles de Moab, au passage de l'Arnon. - (Ⅱ) - ἔση̨ γὰρ ὡς πετεινου̃ ἀνιπταμένου νεοσσὸς ἀφη̨ρημένος θύγατερ Μωαβ ἔπειτα δέ Αρνων (Ⅲ) - Et erit : sicut avis fugiens,/ et pulli de nido avolantes,/ sic erunt filiæ Moab/ in transcensu Arnon./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃16 והיה כעוף נודד קן משלח תהיינה בנות מואב מעברת לארנון (Ⅴ)

Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.
- Donne conseil, fais justice, Couvre-nous en plein midi de ton ombre comme de la nuit, Cache ceux que l'on poursuit, Ne trahis pas le fugitif! (Ⅱ) - πλείονα βουλεύου ποιει̃τε σκέπην πένθους αὐτη̨̃ διὰ παντός ἐν μεσημβρινη̨̃ σκοτία̨ φεύγουσιν ἐξέστησαν μὴ ἀπαχθη̨̃ς (Ⅲ) - Ini consilium,/ coge concilium ;/ pone quasi noctem umbram tuam/ in meridie ;/ absconde fugientes, et vagos ne prodas./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃16 *הביאו **הביאי עצה עשו פלילה שיתי כליל צלך בתוך צהרים סתרי נדחים נדד אל תגלי (Ⅴ)

Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
- Laisse séjourner chez toi les exilés de Moab, Sois pour eux un refuge contre le dévastateur! Car l'oppression cessera, la dévastation finira, Celui qui foule le pays disparaîtra. (Ⅱ) - παροικήσουσίν σοι οἱ φυγάδες Μωαβ ἔσονται σκέπη ὑμι̃ν ἀπὸ προσώπου διώκοντος ὅτι ἤρθη ἡ συμμαχία σου καὶ ὁ ἄρχων ἀπώλετο ὁ καταπατω̃ν ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Habitabunt apud te profugi mei ;/ Moab, esto latibulum eorum a facie vastatoris :/ finitus est enim pulvis, consummatus est miser,/ defecit qui conculcabat terram./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃16 יגורו בך נדחי מואב הוי סתר למו מפני שודד כי אפס המץ כלה שד תמו רמס מן הארץ (Ⅴ)

And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
- Et le trône s'affermira par la clémence; Et l'on y verra siéger fidèlement, dans la maison de David, Un juge ami du droit et zélé pour la justice. - (Ⅱ) - καὶ διορθωθήσεται μετ' ἐλέους θρόνος καὶ καθίεται ἐπ' αὐτου̃ μετὰ ἀληθείας ἐν σκηνη̨̃ Δαυιδ κρίνων καὶ ἐκζητω̃ν κρίμα καὶ σπεύδων δικαιοσύνην (Ⅲ) - Et præparabitur in misericordia solium,/ et sedebit super illud in veritate/ in tabernaculo David,/ judicans et quærens judicium,/ et velociter reddens quod justum est./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃16 והוכן בחסד כסא וישב עליו באמת באהל דוד שפט ודרש משפט ומהר צדק (Ⅴ)

We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
- Nous entendons l'orgueil du superbe Moab, Sa fierté et sa hauteur, son arrogance et ses vains discours. (Ⅱ) - ἠκούσαμεν τὴν ὕβριν Μωαβ ὑβριστὴς σφόδρα τὴν ὑπερηφανίαν ἐξη̃ρας οὐχ οὕτως ἡ μαντεία σου (Ⅲ) - Audivimus superbiam Moab :/ superbus est valde ;/ superbia ejus, et arrogantia ejus, et indignatio ejus/ plus quam fortitudo ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃16 שמענו גאון מואב גא מאד גאותו וגאונו ועברתו לא כן בדיו ס (Ⅴ)

Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
- C'est pourquoi Moab gémit sur Moab, tout gémit; Vous soupirez sur les ruines de Kir Haréseth, Profondément abattus. (Ⅱ) - οὐχ οὕτως ὀλολύξει Μωαβ ἐν γὰρ τη̨̃ Μωαβίτιδι πάντες ὀλολύξουσιν τοι̃ς κατοικου̃σιν Δεσεθ μελετήσεις καὶ οὐκ ἐντραπήση̨ (Ⅲ) - Idcirco ululabit Moab ad Moab ;/ universus ululabit :/ his qui lætantur super muros cocti lateris,/ loquimini plagas suas./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃16 לכן ייליל מואב למואב כלה ייליל לאשישי קיר חרשת תהגו אך נכאים (Ⅴ)

For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
- Car les campagnes de Hesbon languissent; Les maîtres des nations ont brisé les ceps de la vigne de Sibma, Qui s'étendaient jusqu'à Jaezer, qui erraient dans le désert: Les rameaux se prolongeaient, et allaient au delà de la mer. (Ⅱ) - τὰ πεδία Εσεβων πενθήσει ἄμπελος Σεβαμα καταπίνοντες τὰ ἔθνη καταπατήσατε τὰς ἀμπέλους αὐτη̃ς ἕως Ιαζηρ οὐ μὴ συνάψητε πλανήθητε τὴν ἔρημον οἱ ἀπεσταλμένοι ἐγκατελείφθησαν διέβησαν γὰρ τὴν ἔρημον (Ⅲ) - Quoniam suburbana Hesebon deserta sunt,/ et vineam Sabama/ domini gentium exciderunt :/ flagella ejus usque ad Jazer pervenerunt,/ erraverunt in deserto ;/ propagines ejus relictæ sunt,/ transierunt mare./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃16 כי שדמות חשבון אמלל גפן שבמה בעלי גוים הלמו שרוקיה עד יעזר נגעו תעו מדבר שלחותיה נטשו עברו ים (Ⅴ)

Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
- Aussi je pleure sur la vigne de Sibma, comme sur Jaezer; Je vous arrose de mes larmes, Hesbon, Élealé! Car sur votre récolte et sur votre moisson Est venu fondre un cri de guerre. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το κλαύσομαι ὡς τὸν κλαυθμὸν Ιαζηρ ἄμπελον Σεβαμα τὰ δένδρα σου κατέβαλεν Εσεβων καὶ Ελεαλη ὅτι ἐπὶ τω̨̃ θερισμω̨̃ καὶ ἐπὶ τω̨̃ τρυγήτω̨ σου καταπατήσω καὶ πάντα πεσου̃νται (Ⅲ) - Super hoc plorabo in fletu Jazer/ vineam Sabama ;/ inebriabo de lacrima mea,/ Hesebon et Eleale,/ quoniam super vindemiam tuam et super messem tuam/ vox calcantium irruit./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃16 על כן אבכה בבכי יעזר גפן שבמה אריוך דמעתי חשבון ואלעלה כי על קיצך ועל קצירך הידד נפל (Ⅴ)

And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
- La joie et l'allégresse ont disparu des campagnes; Dans les vignes, plus de chants, plus de réjouissances! Le vendangeur ne foule plus le vin dans les cuves; J'ai fait cesser les cris de joie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀρθήσεται εὐφροσύνη καὶ ἀγαλλίαμα ἐκ τω̃ν ἀμπελώνων σου καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς ἀμπελω̃σίν σου οὐ μὴ εὐφρανθήσονται καὶ οὐ μὴ πατήσουσιν οἰ̃νον εἰς τὰ ὑπολήνια πέπαυται γάρ (Ⅲ) - Et auferetur lætitia et exsultatio de Carmelo,/ et in vineis non exsultabit neque jubilabit./ Vinum in torculari non calcabit qui calcare consueverat ;/ vocem calcantium abstuli./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃16 ונאסף שמחה וגיל מן הכרמל ובכרמים לא ירנן לא ירעע יין ביקבים לא ידרך הדרך הידד השבתי (Ⅴ)

Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.
- Aussi mes entrailles frémissent sur Moab, comme une harpe, Et mon coeur sur Kir Harès. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το ἡ κοιλία μου ἐπὶ Μωαβ ὡς κιθάρα ἠχήσει καὶ τὰ ἐντός μου ὡσεὶ τει̃χος ὃ ἐνεκαίνισας (Ⅲ) - Super hoc venter meus ad Moab/ quasi cithara sonabit,/ et viscera mea ad murum cocti lateris./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃16 על כן מעי למואב ככנור יהמו וקרבי לקיר חרש (Ⅴ)

And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
- On voit Moab, qui se fatigue sur les hauts lieux; Il entre dans son sanctuaire pour prier, et il ne peut rien obtenir. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται εἰς τὸ ἐντραπη̃ναί σε ὅτι ἐκοπίασεν Μωαβ ἐπὶ τοι̃ς βωμοι̃ς καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὰ χειροποίητα αὐτη̃ς ὥστε προσεύξασθαι καὶ οὐ μὴ δύνηται ἐξελέσθαι αὐτόν (Ⅲ) - Et erit : cum apparuerit quod laboravit Moab/ super excelsis suis,/ ingredietur ad sancta sua ut obsecret,/ et non valebit.] (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃16 והיה כי נראה כי נלאה מואב על הבמה ובא אל מקדשו להתפלל ולא יוכל (Ⅴ)

This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.
- Telle est la parole que l'Éternel a prononcée dès longtemps sur Moab. (Ⅱ) - του̃το τὸ ῥη̃μα ὃ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐπὶ Μωαβ ὁπότε καὶ ἐλάλησεν (Ⅲ) - Hoc verbum quod locutus est Dominus ad Moab ex tunc. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃16 זה הדבר אשר דבר יהוה אל מואב מאז (Ⅴ)

But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
- Et maintenant l'Éternel parle, et dit: Dans trois ans, comme les années d'un mercenaire, La gloire de Moab sera l'objet du mépris, Avec toute cette grande multitude; Et ce qui restera sera peu de chose, presque rien. (Ⅱ) - καὶ νυ̃ν λέγω ἐν τρισὶν ἔτεσιν ἐτω̃ν μισθωτου̃ ἀτιμασθήσεται ἡ δόξα Μωαβ ἐν παντὶ τω̨̃ πλούτω̨ τω̨̃ πολλω̨̃ καὶ καταλειφθήσεται ὀλιγοστὸς καὶ οὐκ ἔντιμος (Ⅲ) - Et nunc locutus est Dominus, dicens : In tribus annis, quasi anni mercenarii, auferetur gloria Moab super omni populo multo, et relinquetur parvus et modicus, nequaquam multus. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃16 ועתה דבר יהוה לאמר בשלש שנים כשני שכיר ונקלה כבוד מואב בכל ההמון הרב ושאר מעט מזער לוא כביר ס (Ⅴ)
