The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
- Le désert et le pays aride se réjouiront; La solitude s'égaiera, et fleurira comme un narcisse; (Ⅱ) - εὐφράνθητι ἔρημος διψω̃σα ἀγαλλιάσθω ἔρημος καὶ ἀνθείτω ὡς κρίνον (Ⅲ) - Lætabitur deserta et invia,/ et exsultabit solitudo,/ et florebit quasi lilium./ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃35 יששום מדבר וציה ותגל ערבה ותפרח כחבצלת (Ⅴ)

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
- Elle se couvrira de fleurs, et tressaillira de joie, Avec chants d'allégresse et cris de triomphe; La gloire du Liban lui sera donnée, La magnificence du Carmel et de Saron. Ils verront la gloire de l'Éternel, la magnificence de notre Dieu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξανθήσει καὶ ἀγαλλιάσεται τὰ ἔρημα του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἡ δόξα του̃ Λιβάνου ἐδόθη αὐτη̨̃ καὶ ἡ τιμὴ του̃ Καρμήλου καὶ ὁ λαός μου ὄψεται τὴν δόξαν κυρίου καὶ τὸ ὕψος του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅲ) - Germinans germinabit, et exsultabit/ lætabunda et laudans :/ gloria Libani data est ei,/ decor Carmeli et Saron ;/ ipsi videbunt gloriam Domini,/ et decorem Dei nostri./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃35 פרח תפרח ותגל אף גילת ורנן כבוד הלבנון נתן לה הדר הכרמל והשרון המה יראו כבוד יהוה הדר אלהינו ס (Ⅴ)

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
- Fortifiez les mains languissantes, Et affermissez les genoux qui chancellent; (Ⅱ) - ἰσχύσατε χει̃ρες ἀνειμέναι καὶ γόνατα παραλελυμένα (Ⅲ) - Confortate manus dissolutas,/ et genua debilia roborate./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃35 חזקו ידים רפות וברכים כשלות אמצו (Ⅴ)

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
- Dites à ceux qui ont le coeur troublé: Prenez courage, ne craignez point; Voici votre Dieu, la vengeance viendra, La rétribution de Dieu; Il viendra lui-même, et vous sauvera. (Ⅱ) - παρακαλέσατε οἱ ὀλιγόψυχοι τη̨̃ διανοία̨ ἰσχύσατε μὴ φοβει̃σθε ἰδοὺ ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν κρίσιν ἀνταποδίδωσιν καὶ ἀνταποδώσει αὐτὸς ἥξει καὶ σώσει ἡμα̃ς (Ⅲ) - Dicite pusillanimis :/ Confortamini, et nolite timere :/ ecce Deus vester ultionem adducet retributionis ;/ Deus ipse veniet, et salvabit vos./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃35 אמרו לנמהרי לב חזקו אל תיראו הנה אלהיכם נקם יבוא גמול אלהים הוא יבוא וישעכם (Ⅴ)

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
- Alors s'ouvriront les yeux des aveugles, S'ouvriront les oreilles des sourds; (Ⅱ) - τότε ἀνοιχθήσονται ὀφθαλμοὶ τυφλω̃ν καὶ ὠ̃τα κωφω̃ν ἀκούσονται (Ⅲ) - Tunc aperientur oculi cæcorum,/ et aures surdorum patebunt ;/ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃35 אז תפקחנה עיני עורים ואזני חרשים תפתחנה (Ⅴ)

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
- Alors le boiteux sautera comme un cerf, Et la langue du muet éclatera de joie. Car des eaux jailliront dans le désert, Et des ruisseaux dans la solitude; (Ⅱ) - τότε ἁλει̃ται ὡς ἔλαφος ὁ χωλός καὶ τρανὴ ἔσται γλω̃σσα μογιλάλων ὅτι ἐρράγη ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ὕδωρ καὶ φάραγξ ἐν γη̨̃ διψώση̨ (Ⅲ) - tunc saliet sicut cervus claudus,/ et aperta erit lingua mutorum :/ quia scissæ sunt in deserto aquæ,/ et torrentes in solitudine ;/ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃35 אז ידלג כאיל פסח ותרן לשון אלם כי נבקעו במדבר מים ונחלים בערבה (Ⅴ)

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
- Le mirage se changera en étang Et la terre desséchée en sources d'eaux; Dans le repaire qui servait de gîte aux chacals, Croîtront des roseaux et des joncs. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἡ ἄνυδρος ἔσται εἰς ἕλη καὶ εἰς τὴν διψω̃σαν γη̃ν πηγὴ ὕδατος ἔσται ἐκει̃ εὐφροσύνη ὀρνέων ἔπαυλις καλάμου καὶ ἕλη (Ⅲ) - et quæ erat arida, erit in stagnum,/ et sitiens in fontes aquarum./ In cubilibus, in quibus prius dracones habitabant,/ orietur viror calami et junci./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃35 והיה השרב לאגם וצמאון למבועי מים בנוה תנים רבצה חציר לקנה וגמא (Ⅴ)

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
- Il y aura là un chemin frayé, une route, Qu'on appellera la voie sainte; Nul impur n'y passera; elle sera pour eux seuls; Ceux qui la suivront, même les insensés, ne pourront s'égarer. (Ⅱ) - ἐκει̃ ἔσται ὁδὸς καθαρὰ καὶ ὁδὸς ἁγία κληθήσεται καὶ οὐ μὴ παρέλθη̨ ἐκει̃ ἀκάθαρτος οὐδὲ ἔσται ἐκει̃ ὁδὸς ἀκάθαρτος οἱ δὲ διεσπαρμένοι πορεύσονται ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς καὶ οὐ μὴ πλανηθω̃σιν (Ⅲ) - Et erit ibi semita et via,/ et via sancta vocabitur :/ non transibit per eam pollutus,/ et hæc erit vobis directa via,/ ita ut stulti non errent per eam./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃35 והיה שם מסלול ודרך ודרך הקדש יקרא לה לא יעברנו טמא והוא למו הלך דרך ואוילים לא יתעו (Ⅴ)

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
- Sur cette route, point de lion; Nulle bête féroce ne la prendra, Nulle ne s'y rencontrera; Les délivrés y marcheront. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐκει̃ λέων οὐδὲ τω̃ν θηρίων τω̃ν πονηρω̃ν οὐ μὴ ἀναβη̨̃ ἐπ' αὐτὴν οὐδὲ μὴ εὑρεθη̨̃ ἐκει̃ ἀλλὰ πορεύσονται ἐν αὐτη̨̃ λελυτρωμένοι (Ⅲ) - Non erit ibi leo,/ et mala bestia non ascendet per eam,/ nec invenietur ibi ;/ et ambulabunt qui liberati fuerint./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃35 לא יהיה שם אריה ופריץ חיות בל יעלנה לא תמצא שם והלכו גאולים (Ⅴ)

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
- Les rachetés de l'Éternel retourneront, Ils iront à Sion avec chants de triomphe, Et une joie éternelle couronnera leur tête; L'allégresse et la joie s'approcheront, La douleur et les gémissements s'enfuiront. (Ⅱ) - καὶ συνηγμένοι διὰ κύριον ἀποστραφήσονται καὶ ἥξουσιν εἰς Σιων μετ' εὐφροσύνης καὶ εὐφροσύνη αἰώνιος ὑπὲρ κεφαλη̃ς αὐτω̃ν ἐπὶ γὰρ κεφαλη̃ς αὐτω̃ν αἴνεσις καὶ ἀγαλλίαμα καὶ εὐφροσύνη καταλήμψεται αὐτούς ἀπέδρα ὀδύνη καὶ λύπη καὶ στεναγμός (Ⅲ) - Et redempti a Domino convertentur,/ et venient in Sion cum laude,/ et lætitia sempiterna super caput eorum :/ gaudium et lætitiam obtinebunt,/ et fugiet dolor et gemitus.] (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃35 ופדויי יהוה ישבון ובאו ציון ברנה ושמחת עולם על ראשם ששון ושמחה ישיגו ונסו יגון ואנחה פ (Ⅴ)
