At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
- En ce même temps, Merodac Baladan, fils de Baladan, roi de Babylone, envoya une lettre et un présent à Ézéchias, parce qu'il avait appris sa maladie et son rétablissement. (Ⅱ) - ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ἀπέστειλεν Μαρωδαχ υἱὸς του̃ Λααδαν ὁ βασιλεὺς τη̃ς Βαβυλωνίας ἐπιστολὰς καὶ πρέσβεις καὶ δω̃ρα Εζεκια ἤκουσεν γὰρ ὅτι ἐμαλακίσθη ἕως θανάτου καὶ ἀνέστη (Ⅲ) - In tempore illo misit Merodach Baladan, filius Baladan, rex Babylonis, libros et munera ad Ezechiam : audierat enim quod ægrotasset et convaluisset. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃39 בעת ההוא שלח מרדך בלאדן בן בלאדן מלך בבל ספרים ומנחה אל חזקיהו וישמע כי חלה ויחזק (Ⅴ)

And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
- Ézéchias en eut de la joie, et il montra aux envoyés le lieu où étaient ses choses de prix, l'argent et l'or, les aromates et l'huile précieuse, tout son arsenal, et tout ce qui se trouvait dans ses trésors: il n'y eut rien qu'Ézéchias ne leur fît voir dans sa maison et dans tous ses domaines. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐχάρη ἐπ' αὐτοι̃ς Εζεκιας χαρὰν μεγάλην καὶ ἔδειξεν αὐτοι̃ς τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ νεχωθα καὶ τη̃ς στακτη̃ς καὶ τω̃ν θυμιαμάτων καὶ του̃ μύρου καὶ του̃ ἀργυρίου καὶ του̃ χρυσίου καὶ πάντας τοὺς οἴκους τω̃ν σκευω̃ν τη̃ς γάζης καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἠ̃ν ἐν τοι̃ς θησαυροι̃ς αὐτου̃ καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν οὐθέν ὃ οὐκ ἔδειξεν Εζεκιας ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Lætatus est autem super eis Ezechias, et ostendit eis cellam aromatum, et argenti, et auri, et odoramentorum, et unguenti optimi, et omnes apothecas supellectilis suæ, et universa quæ inventa sunt in thesauris ejus. Non fuit verbum quod non ostenderet eis Ezechias in domo sua, et in omni potestate sua. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃39 וישמח עליהם חזקיהו ויראם את בית *נכתה **נכתו את הכסף ואת הזהב ואת הבשמים ואת השמן הטוב ואת כל בית כליו ואת כל אשר נמצא באצרתיו לא היה דבר אשר לא הראם חזקיהו בביתו ובכל ממשלתו (Ⅴ)

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.
- Ésaïe, le prophète, vint ensuite auprès du roi Ézéchias, et lui dit: Qu'ont dit ces gens-là, et d'où sont-ils venus vers toi? Ézéchias répondit: Ils sont venus vers moi d'un pays éloigné, de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Ησαιας ὁ προφήτης πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Εζεκιαν καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν τί λέγουσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι οὑ̃τοι καὶ πόθεν ἥκασιν πρὸς σέ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας ἐκ γη̃ς πόρρωθεν ἥκασιν πρός με ἐκ Βαβυλω̃νος (Ⅲ) - Introivit autem Isaias propheta ad Ezechiam regem, et dixit ei : Quid dixerunt viri isti, et unde venerunt ad te ? Et dixit Ezechias : De terra longinqua venerunt ad me, de Babylone. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃39 ויבא ישעיהו הנביא אל המלך חזקיהו ויאמר אליו מה אמרו האנשים האלה ומאין יבאו אליך ויאמר חזקיהו מארץ רחוקה באו אלי מבבל (Ⅴ)

Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.
- Ésaïe dit encore: Qu'ont-ils vu dans ta maison? Ézéchias répondit: Ils ont vu tout ce qui est dans ma maison: il n'y a rien dans mes trésors que je ne leur aie fait voir. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ησαιας τί εἴδοσαν ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ σου καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας πάντα τὰ ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ μου εἴδοσαν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ μου ὃ οὐκ εἴδοσαν ἀλλὰ καὶ τὰ ἐν τοι̃ς θησαυροι̃ς μου (Ⅲ) - Et dixit : Quid viderunt in domo tua ? Et dixit Ezechias : Omnia quæ in domo mea sunt viderunt ; non fuit res quam non ostenderim eis in thesauris meis. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃39 ויאמר מה ראו בביתך ויאמר חזקיהו את כל אשר בביתי ראו לא היה דבר אשר לא הראיתים באוצרתי (Ⅴ)

Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:
- Alors Ésaïe dit à Ézéchias: Écoute la parole de l'Éternel des armées! (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Ησαιας ἄκουσον τὸν λόγον κυρίου σαβαωθ (Ⅲ) - Et dixit Isaias ad Ezechiam : Audi verbum Domini exercituum. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃39 ויאמר ישעיהו אל חזקיהו שמע דבר יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
- Voici, les temps viendront où l'on emportera à Babylone tout ce qui est dans ta maison et ce que tes pères ont amassé jusqu'à ce jour; il n'en restera rien, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται λέγει κύριος καὶ λήμψονται πάντα τὰ ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ σου καὶ ὅσα συνήγαγον οἱ πατέρες σου ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης εἰς Βαβυλω̃να ἥξει καὶ οὐδὲν οὐ μὴ καταλίπωσιν εἰ̃πεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς (Ⅲ) - Ecce dies venient, et auferentur omnia quæ in domo tua sunt, et quæ thesaurizaverunt patres tui usque ad diem hanc, in Babylonem ; non relinquetur quidquam, dicit Dominus. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃39 הנה ימים באים ונשא כל אשר בביתך ואשר אצרו אבתיך עד היום הזה בבל לא יותר דבר אמר יהוה (Ⅴ)

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
- Et l'on prendra de tes fils, qui seront sortis de toi, que tu auras engendrés, pour en faire des eunuques dans le palais du roi de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν τέκνων σου ὡ̃ν ἐγέννησας λήμψονται καὶ ποιήσουσιν σπάδοντας ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ του̃ βασιλέως τω̃ν Βαβυλωνίων (Ⅲ) - Et de filiis tuis, qui exibunt de te, quos genueris, tollent, et erunt eunuchi in palatio regis Babylonis. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃39 ומבניך אשר יצאו ממך אשר תוליד יקחו והיו סריסים בהיכל מלך בבל (Ⅴ)

Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.
- Ézéchias répondit à Ésaïe: La parole de l'Éternel, que tu as prononcée, est bonne; car, ajouta-t-il, il y aura paix et sécurité pendant ma vie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας πρὸς Ησαιαν ἀγαθὸς ὁ λόγος κυρίου ὃν ἐλάλησεν γενέσθω δὴ εἰρήνη καὶ δικαιοσύνη ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις μου (Ⅲ) - Et dixit Ezechias ad Isaiam : Bonum verbum Domini, quod locutus est. Et dixit : Fiat tantum pax et veritas in diebus meis ! (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃39 ויאמר חזקיהו אל ישעיהו טוב דבר יהוה אשר דברת ויאמר כי יהיה שלום ואמת בימי פ (Ⅴ)
