But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
- Ainsi parle maintenant l'Éternel, qui t'a créé, ô Jacob! Celui qui t'a formé, ô Israël! Ne crains rien, car je te rachète, Je t'appelle par ton nom: tu es à moi! When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
- Si tu traverses les eaux, je serai avec toi; Et les fleuves, ils ne te submergeront point; Si tu marches dans le feu, tu ne te brûleras pas, Et la flamme ne t'embrasera pas. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐὰν διαβαίνη̨ς δι' ὕδατος μετὰ σου̃ εἰμι καὶ ποταμοὶ οὐ συγκλύσουσίν σε καὶ ἐὰν διέλθη̨ς διὰ πυρός οὐ μὴ κατακαυθη̨̃ς φλὸξ οὐ κατακαύσει σε (Ⅲ) - Cum transieris per aquas, tecum ero,/ et flumina non operient te ;/ cum ambulaveris in igne, non combureris, et flamma non ardebit in te./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃43 כי תעבר במים אתך אני ובנהרות לא ישטפוך כי תלך במו אש לא תכוה ולהבה לא תבער בך (Ⅴ)

For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
- Car je suis l'Éternel, ton Dieu, Le Saint d'Israël, ton sauveur; Je donne l'Égypte pour ta rançon, L'Éthiopie et Saba à ta place. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
- Parce que tu as du prix à mes yeux, Parce que tu es honoré et que je t'aime, Je donne des hommes à ta place, Et des peuples pour ta vie. Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
- Que toutes les nations se rassemblent, Et que les peuples se réunissent. Qui d'entre eux a annoncé ces choses? Lesquels nous ont fait entendre les premières prédictions? Qu'ils produisent leurs témoins et établissent leur droit; Qu'on écoute et qu'on dise: C'est vrai! Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
- Vous êtes mes témoins, dit l'Éternel, Vous, et mon serviteur que j'ai choisi, Afin que vous le sachiez, Que vous me croyiez et compreniez que c'est moi: Avant moi il n'a point été formé de Dieu, Et après moi il n'y en aura point. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel, Votre rédempteur, le Saint d'Israël: A cause de vous, j'envoie l'ennemi contre Babylone, Et je fais descendre tous les fuyards, Même les Chaldéens, sur les navires dont ils tiraient gloire. Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
- Qui mit en campagne des chars et des chevaux, Une armée et de vaillants guerriers, Soudain couchés ensemble, pour ne plus se relever, Anéantis, éteints comme une mèche: (Ⅱ) - ὁ ἐξαγαγὼν ἅρματα καὶ ἵππον καὶ ὄχλον ἰσχυρόν ἀλλὰ ἐκοιμήθησαν καὶ οὐκ ἀναστήσονται ἐσβέσθησαν ὡς λίνον ἐσβεσμένον (Ⅲ) - qui eduxit quadrigam et equum,/ agmen et robustum :/ simul obdormierunt, nec resurgent ;/ contriti sunt quasi linum, et extincti sunt./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃43 המוציא רכב וסוס חיל ועזוז יחדו ישכבו בל יקומו דעכו כפשתה כבו (Ⅴ)

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
- Voici, je vais faire une chose nouvelle, sur le point d'arriver: Ne la connaîtrez-vous pas? Je mettrai un chemin dans le désert, Et des fleuves dans la solitude. The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
- Les bêtes des champs me glorifieront, Les chacals et les autruches, Parce que j'aurai mis des eaux dans le désert, Des fleuves dans la solitude, Pour abreuver mon peuple, mon élu. (Ⅱ) - εὐλογήσει με τὰ θηρία του̃ ἀγρου̃ σειρη̃νες καὶ θυγατέρες στρουθω̃ν ὅτι ἔδωκα ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ὕδωρ καὶ ποταμοὺς ἐν τη̨̃ ἀνύδρω̨ ποτίσαι τὸ γένος μου τὸ ἐκλεκτόν (Ⅲ) - Glorificabit me bestia agri,/ dracones, et struthiones :/ quia dedi in deserto aquas,/ flumina in invio,/ ut darem potum populo meo, electo meo./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃43 תכבדני חית השדה תנים ובנות יענה כי נתתי במדבר מים נהרות בישימן להשקות עמי בחירי (Ⅴ)

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
- Et tu ne m'as pas invoqué, ô Jacob! Car tu t'es lassé de moi, ô Israël! (Ⅱ) - οὐ νυ̃ν ἐκάλεσά σε Ιακωβ οὐδὲ κοπια̃σαί σε ἐποίησα Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Non me invocasti, Jacob,/ nec laborasti in me, Israël./ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃43 ולא אתי קראת יעקב כי יגעת בי ישראל (Ⅴ)

Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.
- Tu ne m'as pas offert tes brebis en holocauste, Et tu ne m'as pas honoré par tes sacrifices; Je ne t'ai point tourmenté pour des offrandes, Et je ne t'ai point fatigué pour de l'encens. (Ⅱ) - οὐκ ἐμοὶ πρόβατα τη̃ς ὁλοκαρπώσεώς σου οὐδὲ ἐν ται̃ς θυσίαις σου ἐδόξασάς με οὐδὲ ἔγκοπον ἐποίησά σε ἐν λιβάνω̨ (Ⅲ) - Non obtulisti mihi arietem holocausti tui,/ et victimis tuis non glorificasti me ;/ non te servire feci in oblatione,/ nec laborem tibi præbui in thure./ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃43 לא הביאת לי שה עלתיך וזבחיך לא כבדתני לא העבדתיך במנחה ולא הוגעתיך בלבונה (Ⅴ)

Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
- Tu n'as pas à prix d'argent acheté pour moi des aromates, Et tu ne m'as pas rassasié de la graisse de tes sacrifices; Mais tu m'as tourmenté par tes péchés, Tu m'as fatigué par tes iniquités. (Ⅱ) - οὐδὲ ἐκτήσω μοι ἀργυρίου θυμίαμα οὐδὲ τὸ στέαρ τω̃ν θυσιω̃ν σου ἐπεθύμησα ἀλλὰ ἐν ται̃ς ἁμαρτίαις σου καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἀδικίαις σου προέστην σου (Ⅲ) - Non emisti mihi argento calamum,/ et adipe victimarum tuarum non inebriasti me :/ verumtamen servire me fecisti in peccatis tuis ;/ præbuisti mihi laborem in iniquitatibus tuis./ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃43 לא קנית לי בכסף קנה וחלב זבחיך לא הרויתני אך העבדתני בחטאותיך הוגעתני בעונתיך ס (Ⅴ)

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
- C'est moi, moi qui efface tes transgressions pour l'amour de moi, Et je ne me souviendrai plus de tes péchés. (Ⅱ) - ἐγώ εἰμι ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ἐξαλείφων τὰς ἀνομίας σου καὶ οὐ μὴ μνησθήσομαι (Ⅲ) - Ego sum, ego sum ipse qui deleo iniquitates tuas propter me,/ et peccatorum tuorum non recordabor./ (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃43 אנכי אנכי הוא מחה פשעיך למעני וחטאתיך לא אזכר (Ⅴ)

Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
- Ton premier père a péché, Et tes interprètes se sont rebellés contre moi. (Ⅱ) - οἱ πατέρες ὑμω̃ν πρω̃τοι καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτω̃ν ἠνόμησαν εἰς ἐμέ (Ⅲ) - Pater tuus primus peccavit,/ et interpretes tui prævaricati sunt in me :/ (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃43 אביך הראשון חטא ומליציך פשעו בי (Ⅴ)

Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
- C'est pourquoi j'ai traité en profanes les chefs du sanctuaire, J'ai livré Jacob à la destruction, Et Israël aux outrages.
