And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
- Lorsque Jérémie eut achevé de dire à tout le peuple toutes les paroles de l'Éternel, leur Dieu, toutes ces paroles que l'Éternel, leur Dieu, l'avait chargé de leur dire, (Ⅱ) - Factum est autem, cum complesset Jeremias loquens ad populum universos sermones Domini Dei eorum, pro quibus miserat eum Dominus Deus eorum ad illos, omnia verba hæc, (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃43 ויהי ככלות ירמיהו לדבר אל כל העם את כל דברי יהוה אלהיהם אשר שלחו יהוה אלהיהם אליהם את כל הדברים האלה ס (Ⅴ)

Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:
- Azaria, fils d'Hosée, Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous ces hommes orgueilleux, dirent à Jérémie: Tu dis un mensonge: l'Éternel, notre Dieu, ne t'a point chargé de nous dire: N'allez pas en Égypte pour y demeurer. (Ⅱ) - dixit Azarias filius Osaiæ, et Johanan filius Caree, et omnes viri superbi, dicentes ad Jeremiam : Mendacium tu loqueris : non misit te Dominus Deus noster, dicens : Ne ingrediamini Ægyptum ut habitetis illuc. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃43 ויאמר עזריה בן הושעיה ויוחנן בן קרח וכל האנשים הזדים אמרים אל ירמיהו שקר אתה מדבר לא שלחך יהוה אלהינו לאמר לא תבאו מצרים לגור שם (Ⅴ)

But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.
- Mais c'est Baruc, fils de Nérija, qui t'excite contre nous, afin de nous livrer entre les mains des Chaldéens, pour qu'ils nous fassent mourir ou nous emmènent captifs à Babylone. (Ⅱ) - Sed Baruch filius Neriæ incitat te adversum nos, ut tradat nos in manus Chaldæorum, ut interficiat nos, et traduci faciat in Babylonem. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃43 כי ברוך בן נריה מסית אתך בנו למען תת אתנו ביד הכשדים להמית אתנו ולהגלות אתנו בבל (Ⅴ)

So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
- Jochanan, fils de Karéach, tous les chefs des troupes, et tout le peuple, n'obéirent point à la voix de l'Éternel, qui leur ordonnait de rester dans le pays de Juda. (Ⅱ) - Et non audivit Johanan filius Caree, et omnes principes bellatorum, et universus populus, vocem Domini, ut manerent in terra Juda. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃43 ולא שמע יוחנן בן קרח וכל שרי החילים וכל העם בקול יהוה לשבת בארץ יהודה (Ⅴ)

But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
- Et Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous les chefs des troupes, prirent tous les restes de Juda, qui, après avoir été dispersées parmi toutes les nations, étaient revenus pour habiter le pays de Juda, (Ⅱ) - Sed tollens Johanan filius Caree, et universi principes bellatorum, universos reliquiarum Juda, qui reversi fuerant de cunctis gentibus ad quas fuerant ante dispersi, ut habitarent in terra Juda, (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃43 ויקח יוחנן בן קרח וכל שרי החילים את כל שארית יהודה אשר שבו מכל הגוים אשר נדחו שם לגור בארץ יהודה (Ⅴ)

Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.
- les hommes, les femmes, les enfants, les filles du roi, et toutes les personnes que Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, avait laissées avec Guedalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan, et aussi Jérémie, le prophète, et Baruc, fils de Nérija. (Ⅱ) - viros, et mulieres, et parvulos, et filias regis, et omnem animam quam reliquerat Nabuzardan princeps militiæ cum Godolia filio Ahicam filii Saphan, et Jeremiam prophetam, et Baruch filium Neriæ : (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃43 את הגברים ואת הנשים ואת הטף ואת בנות המלך ואת כל הנפש אשר הניח נבוזראדן רב טבחים את גדליהו בן אחיקם בן שפן ואת ירמיהו הנביא ואת ברוך בן נריהו (Ⅴ)

So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
- Ils allèrent au pays d'Égypte, car ils n'obéirent pas à la voix de l'Éternel, et ils arrivèrent à Tachpanès. (Ⅱ) - et ingressi sunt terram Ægypti, quia non obedierunt voci Domini, et venerunt usque ad Taphnis. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃43 ויבאו ארץ מצרים כי לא שמעו בקול יהוה ויבאו עד תחפנחס ס (Ⅴ)

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie, à Tachpanès, en ces mots: (Ⅱ) - Et factus est sermo Domini ad Jeremiam in Taphnis, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃43 ויהי דבר יהוה אל ירמיהו בתחפנחס לאמר (Ⅴ)

Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
- Prends dans ta main de grandes pierres, et cache-les, en présence des Juifs, dans l'argile du four à briques qui est à l'entrée de la maison de Pharaon à Tachpanès. (Ⅱ) - Sume lapides grandes in manu tua, et abscondes eos in crypta quæ est sub muro latericio in porta domus Pharaonis in Taphnis, cernentibus viris Judæis : (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃43 קח בידך אבנים גדלות וטמנתם במלט במלבן אשר בפתח בית פרעה בתחפנחס לעיני אנשים יהודים (Ⅴ)

And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
- Et tu diras aux Juifs: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, j'enverrai chercher Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur, et je placerai son trône sur ces pierres que j'ai cachées, et il étendra son tapis sur elles. (Ⅱ) - et dices ad eos : Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël : Ecce ego mittam et assumam Nabuchodonosor regem Babylonis, servum meum : et ponam thronum ejus super lapides istos quos abscondi, et statuet solium suum super eos : (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃43 ואמרת אליהם כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני שלח ולקחתי את נבוכדראצר מלך בבל עבדי ושמתי כסאו ממעל לאבנים האלה אשר טמנתי ונטה את *שפרורו **שפרירו עליהם (Ⅴ)

And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.
- Il viendra, et il frappera le pays d'Égypte; à la mort ceux qui sont pour la mort, à la captivité ceux qui sont pour la captivité, à l'épée ceux qui sont pour l'épée! (Ⅱ) - veniensque percutiet terram Ægypti, quos in mortem, in mortem, et quos in captivitatem, in captivitatem, et quos in gladium, in gladium : (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃43 *ובאה **ובא והכה את ארץ מצרים אשר למות למות ואשר לשבי לשבי ואשר לחרב לחרב (Ⅴ)

And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.
- Je mettrai le feu aux maisons des dieux de l'Égypte; Nebucadnetsar les brûlera, il emmènera captives les idoles, il s'enveloppera du pays d'Égypte comme le berger s'enveloppe de son vêtement, et il sortira de là en paix. (Ⅱ) - et succendet ignem in delubris deorum Ægypti, et comburet ea, et captivos ducet illos, et amicietur terra Ægypti sicut amicitur pastor pallio suo, et egredietur inde in pace : (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃43 והצתי אש בבתי אלהי מצרים ושרפם ושבם ועטה את ארץ מצרים כאשר יעטה הרעה את בגדו ויצא משם בשלום (Ⅴ)

He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.
- Il brisera les statues de Beth Schémesch au pays d'Égypte, et il brûlera par le feu les maisons des dieux de l'Égypte. (Ⅱ) - et conteret statuas domus solis quæ sunt in terra Ægypti, et delubra deorum Ægypti comburet igni. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃43 ושבר את מצבות בית שמש אשר בארץ מצרים ואת בתי אלהי מצרים ישרף באש ס (Ⅴ)
