49. 1  
Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?
- Sur les enfants d'Ammon. Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Israël n'a-t-il point de fils? N'a-t-il point d'héritier? Pourquoi Malcom possède-t-il Gad, Et son peuple habite-t-il ses villes? (Ⅱ)
- Ad filios Ammon. [Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Numquid non filii sunt Israël,/ aut hæres non est ei ?/ cur igitur hæreditate possedit Melchom Gad,/ et populus ejus in urbibus ejus habitavit ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃49  לבני עמון כה אמר יהוה הבנים אין לישראל אם יורש אין לו מדוע ירש מלכם את גד ועמו בעריו ישב ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 2  
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
- C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, Où je ferai retentir le cri de guerre contre Rabbath des enfants d'Ammon; Elle deviendra un monceau de ruines, Et les villes de son ressort seront consumées par le feu; Alors Israël chassera ceux qui l'avaient chassé, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Ideo ecce dies veniunt, dicit Dominus,/ et auditum faciam super Rabbath filiorum Ammon fremitum prælii,/ et erit in tumultum dissipata,/ filiæque ejus igni succendentur,/ et possidebit Israël possessores suos, ait Dominus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃49  לכן הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה והשמעתי אל רבת בני עמון תרועת מלחמה והיתה לתל שממה ובנתיה באש תצתנה וירש ישראל את ירשיו אמר יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 3  
Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
- Pousse des gémissements, Hesbon, car Aï est ravagée! Poussez des cris, filles de Rabba, revêtez-vous de sacs, Lamentez-vous, et courez çà et là le long des murailles! Car Malcom s'en va en captivité, Avec ses prêtres et avec ses chefs. (Ⅱ)
- Ulula, Hesebon, quoniam vastata est Hai ;/ clamate, filiæ Rabbath :/ accingite vos ciliciis,/ plangite et circuite per sepes,/ quoniam Melchom in transmigrationem ducetur,/ sacerdotes ejus et principes ejus simul./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃49  הילילי חשבון כי שדדה עי צעקנה בנות רבה חגרנה שקים ספדנה והתשוטטנה בגדרות כי מלכם בגולה ילך כהניו ושריו יחדיו ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 4  
Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?
- Pourquoi te glorifies-tu de tes vallées? Ta vallée se fond, fille rebelle, Qui te confiais dans tes trésors: Qui viendra contre moi? (Ⅱ)
- Quid gloriaris in vallibus ?/ defluxit vallis tua, filia delicata,/ quæ confidebas in thesauris tuis,/ et dicebas : Quis veniet ad me ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃49  מה תתהללי בעמקים זב עמקך הבת השובבה הבטחה באצרתיה מי יבוא אלי ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 5  
Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.
- Voici, je fais venir sur toi la terreur, Dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel des armées, Elle viendra de tous tes alentours; Chacun de vous sera chassé devant soi, Et nul ne ralliera les fuyards. (Ⅱ)
- Ecce ego inducam super te terrorem,/ ait Dominus Deus exercituum,/ ab omnibus qui sunt in circuitu tuo :/ et dispergemini singuli a conspectu vestro,/ nec erit qui congreget fugientes./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃49  הנני מביא עליך פחד נאם אדני יהוה צבאות מכל סביביך ונדחתם איש לפניו ואין מקבץ לנדד ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 6  
And afterward I will bring again the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith the LORD.
- Mais après cela, je ramènerai les captifs des enfants d'Ammon, Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Et post hæc reverti faciam/ captivos filiorum Ammon, ait Dominus.]\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃49  ואחרי כן אשיב את שבות בני עמון נאם יהוה ס‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 7  
Concerning Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?
- Sur Édom. Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: N'y a-t-il plus de sagesse dans Théman? La prudence a-t-elle disparu chez les hommes intelligents? Leur sagesse s'est-elle évanouie? (Ⅱ)
- Ad Idumæam. [Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Numquid non ultra est sapientia in Theman ?/ periit consilium a filiis ;/ inutilis facta est sapientia eorum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃49  לאדום כה אמר יהוה צבאות האין עוד חכמה בתימן אבדה עצה מבנים נסרחה חכמתם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 8  
Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.
- Fuyez, tournez le dos, retirez-vous dans les cavernes, Habitants de Dedan! Car je fais venir le malheur sur Ésaü, Le temps de son châtiment. (Ⅱ)
- Fugite, et terga vertite ;/ descendite in voraginem, habitatores Dedan :/ quoniam perditionem Esau adduxi super eum,/ tempus visitationis ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃49  נסו הפנו העמיקו לשבת ישבי דדן כי איד עשו הבאתי עליו עת פקדתיו ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 9  
If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.
- Si des vendangeurs viennent chez toi, Ne laissent-ils rien à grappiller? Si des voleurs viennent de nuit, Ils ne dévastent que ce qu'ils peuvent. (Ⅱ)
- Si vindemiatores venissent super te,/ non reliquissent racemum :/ si fures in nocte rapuissent quod sufficeret sibi./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃49  אם בצרים באו לך לא ישארו עוללות אם גנבים בלילה השחיתו דים ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 10  
But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
- Mais moi, je dépouillerai Ésaü, Je découvrirai ses retraites, Il ne pourra se cacher; Ses enfants, ses frères, ses voisins, périront, Et il ne sera plus. (Ⅱ)
- Ego vero discooperui Esau :/ revelavi abscondita ejus,/ et celari non poterit :/ vastatum est semen ejus,/ et fratres ejus, et vicini ejus, et non erit./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃49  כי אני חשפתי את עשו גליתי את מסתריו ונחבה לא יוכל שדד זרעו ואחיו ושכניו ואיננו ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 11  
Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.
- Laisse tes orphelins, je les ferai vivre, Et que tes veuves se confient en moi! (Ⅱ)
- Relinque pupillos tuos : ego faciam eos vivere :/ et viduæ tuæ in me sperabunt./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃49  עזבה יתמיך אני אחיה ואלמנתיך עלי תבטחו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 12  
For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.
- Car ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, ceux qui ne devaient pas boire la coupe la boiront; Et toi, tu resterais impuni! Tu ne resteras pas impuni, Tu la boiras. (Ⅱ)
- Quia hæc dicit Dominus :/ Ecce quibus non erat judicium ut biberent calicem,/ bibentes bibent :/ et tu, quasi innocens relinqueris ?/ non eris innocens, sed bibens bibes./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃49  כי כה אמר יהוה הנה אשר אין משפטם לשתות הכוס שתו ישתו ואתה הוא נקה תנקה לא תנקה כי שתה תשתה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 13  
For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
- Car je le jure par moi-même, dit l'Éternel, Botsra sera un objet de désolation, d'opprobre, De dévastation et de malédiction, Et toutes ses villes deviendront des ruines éternelles. (Ⅱ)
- Quia per memetipsum juravi, dicit Dominus,/ quod in solitudinem, et in opprobrium,/ et in desertum, et in maledictionem erit Bosra,/ et omnes civitates ejus erunt in solitudines sempiternas./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃49  כי בי נשבעתי נאם יהוה כי לשמה לחרפה לחרב ולקללה תהיה בצרה וכל עריה תהיינה לחרבות עולם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 14  
I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
- J'ai appris de l'Éternel une nouvelle, Et un messager a été envoyé parmi les nations: Assemblez-vous, et marchez contre elle! Levez-vous pour la guerre! (Ⅱ)
- Auditum audivi a Domino,/ et legatus ad gentes missus est :/ Congregamini, et venite contra eam,/ et consurgamus in prælium./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃49  שמועה שמעתי מאת יהוה וציר בגוים שלוח התקבצו ובאו עליה וקומו למלחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 15  
For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.
- Car voici, je te rendrai petit parmi les nations, Méprisé parmi les hommes. (Ⅱ)
- Ecce enim parvulum dedi te in gentibus,/ contemptibilem inter homines./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃49  כי הנה קטן נתתיך בגוים בזוי באדם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 16  
Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.
- Ta présomption, l'orgueil de ton coeur t'a égaré, Toi qui habites le creux des rochers, Et qui occupes le sommet des collines. Quand tu placerais ton nid aussi haut que celui de l'aigle, Je t'en précipiterai, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Arrogantia tua decepit te,/ et superbia cordis tui,/ qui habitas in cavernis petræ,/ et apprehendere niteris altitudinem collis :/ cum exaltaveris quasi aquila nidum tuum,/ inde detraham te, dicit Dominus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃49  תפלצתך השיא אתך זדון לבך שכני בחגוי הסלע תפשי מרום גבעה כי תגביה כנשר קנך משם אורידך נאם יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 17  
Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
- Édom sera un objet de désolation; Tous ceux qui passeront près de lui Seront dans l'étonnement et siffleront sur toutes ses plaies. (Ⅱ)
- Et erit Idumæa deserta :/ omnis qui transibit per eam stupebit,/ et sibilabit super omnes plagas ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃49  והיתה אדום לשמה כל עבר עליה ישם וישרק על כל מכותה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 18  
As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.
- Comme Sodome et Gomorrhe et les villes voisines, qui furent détruites, Dit l'Éternel, Il ne sera plus habité, Il ne sera le séjour d'aucun homme... (Ⅱ)
- Sicut subversa est Sodoma et Gomorrha,/ et vicinæ ejus, ait Dominus :/ non habitabit ibi vir,/ et non incolet eam filius hominis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃49  כמהפכת סדם ועמרה ושכניה אמר יהוה לא ישב שם איש ולא יגור בה בן אדם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 19  
Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
- Voici, tel qu'un lion, il monte des rives orgueilleuses du Jourdain Contre la demeure forte; Soudain j'en ferai fuir Édom, Et j'établirai sur elle celui que j'ai choisi. Car qui est semblable à moi? qui me donnera des ordres? Et quel est le chef qui me résistera? (Ⅱ)
- Ecce quasi leo ascendet/ de superbia Jordanis ad pulchritudinem robustam,/ quia subito currere faciam eum ad illam./ Et quis erit electus, quem præponam ei ?/ quis enim similis mei ?/ et quis sustinebit me ?/ et quis est iste pastor, qui resistat vultui meo ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃49  הנה כאריה יעלה מגאון הירדן אל נוה איתן כי ארגיעה אריצנו מעליה ומי בחור אליה אפקד כי מי כמוני ומי יעידני ומי זה רעה אשר יעמד לפני ס‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 20  
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
- C'est pourquoi écoutez la résolution que l'Éternel a prise contre Édom, Et les desseins qu'il a conçus contre les habitants de Théman! Certainement on les traînera comme de faibles brebis, Certainement on ravagera leur demeure. (Ⅱ)
- Propterea audite consilium Domini quod iniit de Edom,/ et cogitationes ejus quas cogitavit de habitatoribus Theman :/ si non dejecerint eos parvuli gregis,/ nisi dissipaverint cum eis habitaculum eorum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃49  לכן שמעו עצת יהוה אשר יעץ אל אדום ומחשבותיו אשר חשב אל ישבי תימן אם לא יסחבום צעירי הצאן אם לא ישים עליהם נוהם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 21  
The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.
- Au bruit de leur chute, la terre tremble; Leur cri se fait entendre jusqu'à la mer Rouge... (Ⅱ)
- A voce ruinæ eorum commota est terra ;/ clamor in mari Rubro auditus est vocis ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃49  מקול נפלם רעשה הארץ צעקה בים סוף נשמע קולה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 22  
Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
- Voici, comme l'aigle il s'avance, il vole, Il étend ses ailes sur Botsra, Et le coeur des héros d'Édom est en ce jour Comme le coeur d'une femme en travail. (Ⅱ)
- Ecce quasi aquila ascendet,/ et avolabit, et expandet alas suas super Bosran :/ et erit cor fortium Idumææ in die illa/ quasi cor mulieris parturientis.]\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃49  הנה כנשר יעלה וידאה ויפרש כנפיו על בצרה והיה לב גבורי אדום ביום ההוא כלב אשה מצרה ס‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 23  
Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
- Sur Damas. Hamath et Arpad sont confuses, Car elles ont appris une mauvaise nouvelle, elles tremblent; C'est une mer en tourmente, Qui ne peut se calmer. (Ⅱ)
- Ad Damascum. [Confusa est Emath et Arphad,/ quia auditum pessimum audierunt :/ turbati sunt in mari ;/ præ sollicitudine quiescere non potuit./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃49  לדמשק בושה חמת וארפד כי שמעה רעה שמעו נמגו בים דאגה השקט לא יוכל ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 24  
Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.
- Damas est défaillante, elle se tourne pour fuir, Et l'effroi s'empare d'elle; L'angoisse et les douleurs la saisissent, Comme une femme en travail. - (Ⅱ)
- Dissoluta est Damascus,/ versa est in fugam :/ tremor apprehendit eam,/ angustia et dolores tenuerunt eam quasi parturientem./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃49  רפתה דמשק הפנתה לנוס ורטט החזיקה צרה וחבלים אחזתה כיולדה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 25  
How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!
- Ah! elle n'est pas abandonnée, la ville glorieuse, La ville qui fait ma joie! - (Ⅱ)
- Quomodo dereliquerunt civitatem laudabilem,/ urbem lætitiæ ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃49  איך לא עזבה עיר *תהלה **תהלת קרית משושי ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 26  
Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.
- C'est pourquoi ses jeunes gens tomberont dans les rues, Et tous ses hommes de guerre périront en ce jour, Dit l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ)
- Ideo cadent juvenes ejus in plateis ejus,/ et omnes viri prælii conticescent in die illa,/ ait Dominus exercituum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 26 ׃49  לכן יפלו בחוריה ברחבתיה וכל אנשי המלחמה ידמו ביום ההוא נאם יהוה צבאות ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 27  
And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.
- Je mettrai le feu aux murs de Damas, Et il dévorera le palais de Ben Hadad. (Ⅱ)
- Et succendam ignem in muro Damasci,/ et devorabit mœnia Benadad.]\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 27 ׃49  והצתי אש בחומת דמשק ואכלה ארמנות בן הדד ס‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 28  
Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith the LORD; Arise ye, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east.
- Sur Kédar et les royaumes de Hatsor, que battit Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone. Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Levez-vous, montez contre Kédar, Et détruisez les fils de l'Orient! (Ⅱ)
- Ad Cedar, et ad regna Asor, quæ percussit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis. [Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Surgite, et ascendite ad Cedar,/ et vastate filios orientis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 28 ׃49  לקדר ולממלכות חצור אשר הכה *נבוכדראצור **נבוכדראצר מלך בבל כה אמר יהוה קומו עלו אל קדר ושדדו את בני קדם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 29  
Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is on every side.
- On prendra leurs tentes et leurs troupeaux, On enlèvera leurs pavillons, tous leurs bagages et leurs chameaux, Et l'on jettera de toutes parts contre eux des cris d'épouvante. (Ⅱ)
- Tabernacula eorum, et greges eorum capient :/ pelles eorum, et omnia vasa eorum,/ et camelos eorum tollent sibi,/ et vocabunt super eos formidinem in circuitu./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 29 ׃49  אהליהם וצאנם יקחו יריעותיהם וכל כליהם וגמליהם ישאו להם וקראו עליהם מגור מסביב ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 30  
Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
- Fuyez, fuyez de toutes vos forces, cherchez à l'écart une demeure, Habitants de Hatsor! dit l'Éternel; Car Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, a pris une résolution contre vous, Il a conçu un projet contre vous. (Ⅱ)
- Fugite, abite vehementer, in voraginibus sedete,/ qui habitatis Asor, ait Dominus :/ iniit enim contra vos Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis consilium,/ et cogitavit adversum vos cogitationes./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 30 ׃49  נסו נדו מאד העמיקו לשבת ישבי חצור נאם יהוה כי יעץ עליכם נבוכדראצר מלך בבל עצה וחשב *עליהם **עליכם מחשבה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 31  
Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone.
- Levez-vous, montez contre une nation tranquille, En sécurité dans sa demeure, dit l'Éternel; Elle n'a ni portes, ni barres, Elle habite solitaire. (Ⅱ)
- Consurgite, et ascendite ad gentem quietam,/ et habitantem confidenter, ait Dominus :/ non ostia, nec vectes eis : soli habitant./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 31 ׃49  קומו עלו אל גוי שליו יושב לבטח נאם יהוה לא דלתים ולא בריח לו בדד ישכנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 32  
And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter into all winds them that are in the utmost corners; and I will bring their calamity from all sides thereof, saith the LORD.
- Leurs chameaux seront au pillage, Et la multitude de leurs troupeaux sera une proie; Je les disperserai à tous les vents, ceux qui se rasent les coins de la barbe, Et je ferai venir leur ruine de tous les côtés, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Et erunt cameli eorum in direptionem,/ et multitudo jumentorum in prædam :/ et dispergam eos in omnem ventum,/ qui sunt attonsi in comam,/ et ex omni confinio eorum adducam interitum super eos, ait Dominus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 32 ׃49  והיו גמליהם לבז והמון מקניהם לשלל וזרתים לכל רוח קצוצי פאה ומכל עבריו אביא את אידם נאם יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 33  
And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it.
- Hatsor sera le repaire des chacals, un désert pour toujours; Personne n'y habitera, aucun homme n'y séjournera. (Ⅱ)
- Et erit Asor in habitaculum draconum,/ deserta usque in æternum :/ non manebit ibi vir,/ nec incolet eam filius hominis.]\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 33 ׃49  והיתה חצור למעון תנים שממה עד עולם לא ישב שם איש ולא יגור בה בן אדם ס‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 34  
The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel qui fut adressée à Jérémie, le prophète, sur Élam, au commencement du règne de Sédécias, roi de Juda, en ces mots: (Ⅱ)
- Quod facum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam prophetam adversus Ælam, in principio regni Sedeciæ regis Juda, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 34 ׃49  אשר היה דבר יהוה אל ירמיהו הנביא אל עילם בראשית מלכות צדקיה מלך יהודה לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 35  
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Voici, je vais briser l'arc d'Élam, Sa principale force. (Ⅱ)
- Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Ecce ego confringam arcum Ælam,/ et summam fortitudinem eorum :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 35 ׃49  כה אמר יהוה צבאות הנני שבר את קשת עילם ראשית גבורתם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 36  
And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
- Je ferai venir sur Élam quatre vents des quatre extrémités du ciel, Je les disperserai par tous ces vents, Et il n'y aura pas une nation Où n'arrivent des fugitifs d'Élam. (Ⅱ)
- et inducam super Ælam quatuor ventos a quatuor plagis cæli,/ et ventilabo eos in omnes ventos istos,/ et non erit gens ad quam non perveniant profugi Ælam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 36 ׃49  והבאתי אל עילם ארבע רוחות מארבע קצות השמים וזרתים לכל הרחות האלה ולא יהיה הגוי אשר לא יבוא שם נדחי *עולם **עילם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 37  
For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:
- Je ferai trembler les habitants d'Élam devant leurs ennemis Et devant ceux qui en veulent à leur vie, J'amènerai sur eux des malheurs, Mon ardente colère, dit l'Éternel, Et je les poursuivrai par l'épée, Jusqu'à ce que je les aie anéantis. (Ⅱ)
- Et pavere faciam Ælam coram inimicis suis,/ et in conspectu quærentium animam eorum :/ et adducam super eos malum,/ iram furoris mei, dicit Dominus,/ et mittam post eos gladium donec consumam eos./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 37 ׃49  והחתתי את עילם לפני איביהם ולפני מבקשי נפשם והבאתי עליהם רעה את חרון אפי נאם יהוה ושלחתי אחריהם את החרב עד כלותי אותם ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 38  
And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.
- Je placerai mon trône dans Élam, Et j'en détruirai le roi et les chefs, Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Et ponam solium meum in Ælam,/ et perdam inde reges et principes, ait Dominus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 38 ׃49  ושמתי כסאי בעילם והאבדתי משם מלך ושרים נאם יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
49. 39  
But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD.
- Mais dans la suite des temps, je ramènerai les captifs d'Élam, Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- In novissimis autem diebus/ reverti faciam captivos Ælam, dicit Dominus.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 39 ׃49  והיה באחרית הימים *אשוב **אשיב את *שבית **שבות עילם נאם יהוה ס‬ (Ⅴ)
