Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.
- Parcourez les rues de Jérusalem, Regardez, informez-vous, cherchez dans les places, S'il s'y trouve un homme, s'il y en a un Qui pratique la justice, qui s'attache à la vérité, Et je pardonne à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ) - περιδράμετε ἐν ται̃ς ὁδοι̃ς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἴδετε καὶ γνω̃τε καὶ ζητήσατε ἐν ται̃ς πλατείαις αὐτη̃ς ἐὰν εὕρητε ἄνδρα εἰ ἔστιν ποιω̃ν κρίμα καὶ ζητω̃ν πίστιν καὶ ἵλεως ἔσομαι αὐτοι̃ς λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ) - Circuite vias Jerusalem,/ et aspicite, et considerate,/ et quærite in plateis ejus,/ an inveniatis virum facientem judicium,/ et quærentem fidem :/ et propitius ero ei./ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃5 שוטטו בחוצות ירושלם וראו נא ודעו ובקשו ברחובותיה אם תמצאו איש אם יש עשה משפט מבקש אמונה ואסלח לה (Ⅴ)

And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely.
- Même quand ils disent: L'Éternel est vivant! C'est faussement qu'ils jurent. (Ⅱ) - ζη̨̃ κύριος λέγουσιν διὰ του̃το οὐκ ἐπὶ ψεύδεσιν ὀμνύουσιν (Ⅲ) - Quod si etiam : Vivit Dominus, dixerint,/ et hoc falso jurabunt./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃5 ואם חי יהוה יאמרו לכן לשקר ישבעו (Ⅴ)

O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
- Éternel, tes yeux n'aperçoivent-ils pas la vérité? Tu les frappes, et ils ne sentent rien; Tu les consumes, et ils ne veulent pas recevoir instruction; Ils prennent un visage plus dur que le roc, Ils refusent de se convertir. (Ⅱ) - κύριε οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου εἰς πίστιν ἐμαστίγωσας αὐτούς καὶ οὐκ ἐπόνεσαν συνετέλεσας αὐτούς καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησαν δέξασθαι παιδείαν ἐστερέωσαν τὰ πρόσωπα αὐτω̃ν ὑπὲρ πέτραν καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησαν ἐπιστραφη̃ναι (Ⅲ) - Domine, oculi tui respiciunt fidem :/ percussisti eos, et non doluerunt ;/ attrivisti eos, et renuerunt accipere disciplinam :/ induraverunt facies suas supra petram,/ et noluerunt reverti./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃5 יהוה עיניך הלוא לאמונה הכיתה אתם ולא חלו כליתם מאנו קחת מוסר חזקו פניהם מסלע מאנו לשוב (Ⅴ)

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.
- Je disais: Ce ne sont que les petits; Ils agissent en insensés, parce qu'ils ne connaissent pas la voie de l'Éternel, La loi de leur Dieu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγὼ εἰ̃πα ἴσως πτωχοί εἰσιν διότι οὐκ ἐδυνάσθησαν ὅτι οὐκ ἔγνωσαν ὁδὸν κυρίου καὶ κρίσιν θεου̃ (Ⅲ) - Ego autem dixi : Forsitan pauperes sunt et stulti,/ ignorantes viam Domini,/ judicium Dei sui./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃5 ואני אמרתי אך דלים הם נואלו כי לא ידעו דרך יהוה משפט אלהיהם (Ⅴ)

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
- J'irai vers les grands, et je leur parlerai; Car eux, ils connaissent la voie de l'Éternel, La loi de leur Dieu; Mais ils ont tous aussi brisé le joug, Rompu les liens. (Ⅱ) - πορεύσομαι πρὸς τοὺς ἁδροὺς καὶ λαλήσω αὐτοι̃ς ὅτι αὐτοὶ ἐπέγνωσαν ὁδὸν κυρίου καὶ κρίσιν θεου̃ καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁμοθυμαδὸν συνέτριψαν ζυγόν διέρρηξαν δεσμούς (Ⅲ) - Ibo igitur ad optimates, et loquar eis :/ ipsi enim cognoverunt viam Domini,/ judicium Dei sui :/ et ecce magis hi simul confregerunt jugum ;/ ruperunt vincula./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃5 אלכה לי אל הגדלים ואדברה אותם כי המה ידעו דרך יהוה משפט אלהיהם אך המה יחדו שברו על נתקו מוסרות (Ⅴ)

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.
- C'est pourquoi le lion de la forêt les tue, Le loup du désert les détruit, La panthère est aux aguets devant leurs villes; Tous ceux qui en sortiront seront déchirés; Car leurs transgressions sont nombreuses, Leurs infidélités se sont multipliées. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το ἔπαισεν αὐτοὺς λέων ἐκ του̃ δρυμου̃ καὶ λύκος ἕως τω̃ν οἰκιω̃ν ὠλέθρευσεν αὐτούς καὶ πάρδαλις ἐγρηγόρησεν ἐπὶ τὰς πόλεις αὐτω̃ν πάντες οἱ ἐκπορευόμενοι ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν θηρευθήσονται ὅτι ἐπλήθυναν ἀσεβείας αὐτω̃ν ἴσχυσαν ἐν ται̃ς ἀποστροφαι̃ς αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Idcirco percussit eos leo de silva ;/ lupus ad vesperam vastavit eos :/ pardus vigilans super civitates eorum :/ omnis qui egressus fuerit ex eis capietur :/ quia multiplicatæ sunt prævaricationes eorum ;/ confortatæ sunt aversiones eorum./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃5 על כן הכם אריה מיער זאב ערבות ישדדם נמר שקד על עריהם כל היוצא מהנה יטרף כי רבו פשעיהם עצמו *משבותיהם **משובותיהם[q] (Ⅴ)

How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.
- Pourquoi te pardonnerais-je? Tes enfants m'ont abandonné, Et ils jurent par des dieux qui n'existent pas. J'ai reçu leurs serments, et ils se livrent à l'adultère, Ils sont en foule dans la maison de la prostituée. (Ⅱ) - ποία̨ τούτων ἵλεως γένωμαί σοι οἱ υἱοί σου ἐγκατέλιπόν με καὶ ὤμνυον ἐν τοι̃ς οὐκ οὐ̃σιν θεοι̃ς καὶ ἐχόρτασα αὐτούς καὶ ἐμοιχω̃ντο καὶ ἐν οἴκοις πορνω̃ν κατέλυον (Ⅲ) - Super quo propitius tibi esse potero ?/ filii tui dereliquerunt me,/ et jurant in his qui non sunt dii./ Saturavi eos, et mœchati sunt,/ et in domo meretricis luxuriabantur./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃5 אי לזאת *אסלוח [1] **אסלח לך[y] בניך עזבוני וישבעו בלא אלהים ואשבע אותם וינאפו ובית זונה יתגדדו (Ⅴ)

They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.
- Semblables à des chevaux bien nourris, qui courent çà et là, Ils hennissent chacun après la femme de son prochain. (Ⅱ) - ἵπποι θηλυμανει̃ς ἐγενήθησαν ἕκαστος ἐπὶ τὴν γυναι̃κα του̃ πλησίον αὐτου̃ ἐχρεμέτιζον (Ⅲ) - Equi amatores et emissarii facti sunt :/ unusquisque ad uxorem proximi sui hinniebat./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃5 סוסים מיזנים משכים היו איש אל אשת רעהו יצהלו (Ⅴ)

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
- Ne châtierais-je pas ces choses-là, dit l'Éternel, Ne me vengerais-je pas d'une pareille nation? (Ⅱ) - μὴ ἐπὶ τούτοις οὐκ ἐπισκέψομαι λέγει κύριος ἢ ἐν ἔθνει τοιούτω̨ οὐκ ἐκδικήσει ἡ ψυχή μου (Ⅲ) - Numquid super his non visitabo, dicit Dominus,/ et in gente tali non ulciscetur anima mea ?/ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃5 העל אלה לוא אפקד נאם יהוה ואם בגוי אשר כזה לא תתנקם נפשי ס (Ⅴ)

Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's.
- Montez sur ses murailles, et abattez, Mais ne détruisez pas entièrement! Enlevez ses ceps Qui n'appartiennent point à l'Éternel! (Ⅱ) - ἀνάβητε ἐπὶ τοὺς προμαχω̃νας αὐτη̃ς καὶ κατασκάψατε συντέλειαν δὲ μὴ ποιήσητε ὑπολίπεσθε τὰ ὑποστηρίγματα αὐτη̃ς ὅτι του̃ κυρίου εἰσίν (Ⅲ) - Ascendite muros ejus, et dissipate :/ consummationem autem nolite facere :/ auferte propagines ejus,/ quia non sunt Domini./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃5 עלו בשרותיה ושחתו וכלה אל תעשו הסירו נטישותיה כי לוא ליהוה המה (Ⅴ)

For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD.
- Car la maison d'Israël et la maison de Juda m'ont été infidèles, Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ἀθετω̃ν ἠθέτησεν εἰς ἐμέ λέγει κύριος οἰ̃κος Ισραηλ καὶ οἰ̃κος Ιουδα (Ⅲ) - Prævaricatione enim prævaricata est in me/ domus Israël, et domus Juda, ait Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃5 כי בגוד בגדו בי בית ישראל ובית יהודה נאם יהוה (Ⅴ)

They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:
- Ils renient l'Éternel, ils disent: Il n'existe pas! Et le malheur ne viendra pas sur nous, Nous ne verrons ni l'épée ni la famine. (Ⅱ) - ἐψεύσαντο τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἑαυτω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃παν οὐκ ἔστιν ταυ̃τα οὐχ ἥξει ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς κακά καὶ μάχαιραν καὶ λιμὸν οὐκ ὀψόμεθα (Ⅲ) - Negaverunt Dominum, et dixerunt :/ Non est ipse : neque veniet super nos malum :/ gladium et famem non videbimus./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃5 כחשו ביהוה ויאמרו לא הוא ולא תבוא עלינו רעה וחרב ורעב לוא נראה (Ⅴ)

And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.
- Les prophètes ne sont que du vent, Et personne ne parle en eux. Qu'il leur soit fait ainsi! (Ⅱ) - οἱ προφη̃ται ἡμω̃ν ἠ̃σαν εἰς ἄνεμον καὶ λόγος κυρίου οὐχ ὑπη̃ρχεν ἐν αὐτοι̃ς οὕτως ἔσται αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - Prophetæ fuerunt in ventum locuti,/ et responsum non fuit in eis :/ hæc ergo evenient illis./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃5 והנביאים יהיו לרוח והדבר אין בהם כה יעשה להם ס (Ⅴ)

Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
- C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées: Parce que vous avez dit cela, Voici, je veux que ma parole dans ta bouche soit du feu, Et ce peuple du bois, et que ce feu les consume. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἐλαλήσατε τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ δέδωκα τοὺς λόγους μου εἰς τὸ στόμα σου πυ̃ρ καὶ τὸν λαὸν του̃τον ξύλα καὶ καταφάγεται αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus Deus exercituum :/ Quia locuti estis verbum istud,/ ecce ego do verba mea in ore tuo in ignem,/ et populum istum in ligna,/ et vorabit eos./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃5 לכן כה אמר יהוה אלהי צבאות יען דברכם את הדבר הזה הנני נתן דברי בפיך לאש והעם הזה עצים ואכלתם (Ⅴ)

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.
- Voici, je fais venir de loin une nation contre vous, maison d'Israël, Dit l'Éternel; C'est une nation forte, c'est une nation ancienne, Une nation dont tu ne connais pas la langue, Et dont tu ne comprendras point les paroles. (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς ἔθνος πόρρωθεν οἰ̃κος Ισραηλ λέγει κύριος ἔθνος οὑ̃ οὐκ ἀκούση̨ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τη̃ς γλώσσης αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Ecce ego adducam super vos gentem de longinquo,/ domus Israël, ait Dominus :/ gentem robustam,/ gentem antiquam,/ gentem cujus ignorabis linguam,/ nec intelliges quid loquatur./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃5 הנני מביא עליכם גוי ממרחק בית ישראל נאם יהוה גוי איתן הוא גוי מעולם הוא גוי לא תדע לשנו ולא תשמע מה ידבר (Ⅴ)

Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.
- Son carquois est comme un sépulcre ouvert; Ils sont tous des héros. (Ⅱ) - πάντες ἰσχυροὶ (Ⅲ) - Pharetra ejus quasi sepulchrum patens ;/ universi fortes./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃5 אשפתו כקבר פתוח כלם גבורים (Ⅴ)

And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.
- Elle dévorera ta moisson et ton pain, Elle dévorera tes fils et tes filles, Elle dévorera tes brebis et tes boeufs, Elle dévorera ta vigne et ton figuier; Elle détruira par l'épée tes villes fortes dans lesquelles tu te confies. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατέδονται τὸν θερισμὸν ὑμω̃ν καὶ τοὺς ἄρτους ὑμω̃ν καὶ κατέδονται τοὺς υἱοὺς ὑμω̃ν καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμω̃ν καὶ κατέδονται τὰ πρόβατα ὑμω̃ν καὶ τοὺς μόσχους ὑμω̃ν καὶ κατέδονται τοὺς ἀμπελω̃νας ὑμω̃ν καὶ τοὺς συκω̃νας ὑμω̃ν καὶ τοὺς ἐλαιω̃νας ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἀλοήσουσιν τὰς πόλεις τὰς ὀχυρὰς ὑμω̃ν ἐφ' αἱ̃ς ὑμει̃ς πεποίθατε ἐπ' αὐται̃ς ἐν ῥομφαία̨ (Ⅲ) - Et comedet segetes tuas et panem tuum ;/ devorabit filios tuos et filias tuas ;/ comedet gregem tuum et armenta tua ;/ comedet vineam tuam et ficum tuam :/ et conteret urbes munitas tuas,/ in quibus tu habes fiduciam, gladio./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃5 ואכל קצירך ולחמך יאכלו בניך ובנותיך יאכל צאנך ובקרך יאכל גפנך ותאנתך ירשש ערי מבצריך אשר אתה בוטח בהנה בחרב (Ⅴ)

Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.
- Mais en ces jours, dit l'Éternel, Je ne vous détruirai pas entièrement. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός σου οὐ μὴ ποιήσω ὑμα̃ς εἰς συντέλειαν (Ⅲ) - Verumtamen in diebus illis, ait Dominus,/ non faciam vos in consummationem./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃5 וגם בימים ההמה נאם יהוה לא אעשה אתכם כלה (Ⅴ)

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your's.
- Si vous dites alors: Pourquoi l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous fait-il tout cela? Tu leur répondras: Comme vous m'avez abandonné, Et que vous avez servi des dieux étrangers dans votre pays, Ainsi vous servirez des étrangers dans un pays qui n'est pas le vôtre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ὅταν εἴπητε τίνος ἕνεκεν ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν ἡμι̃ν ἅπαντα ταυ̃τα καὶ ἐρει̃ς αὐτοι̃ς ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἐδουλεύσατε θεοι̃ς ἀλλοτρίοις ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ὑμω̃ν οὕτως δουλεύσετε ἀλλοτρίοις ἐν γη̨̃ οὐχ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Quod si dixeritis :/ Quare fecit nobis Dominus Deus noster hæc omnia ?/ dices ad eos :/ Sicut dereliquistis me,/ et servistis deo alieno in terra vestra,/ sic servietis alienis in terra non vestra./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃5 והיה כי תאמרו תחת מה עשה יהוה אלהינו לנו את כל אלה ואמרת אליהם כאשר עזבתם אותי ותעבדו אלהי נכר בארצכם כן תעבדו זרים בארץ לא לכם ס (Ⅴ)

Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,
- Annoncez ceci à la maison de Jacob, Publiez-le en Juda, et dites: (Ⅱ) - ἀναγγείλατε ταυ̃τα εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον Ιακωβ καὶ ἀκουσθήτω ἐν τω̨̃ Ιουδα (Ⅲ) - Annuntiate hoc domui Jacob,/ et auditum facite in Juda, dicentes :/ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃5 הגידו זאת בבית יעקב והשמיעוה ביהודה לאמר (Ⅴ)

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:
- Écoutez ceci, peuple insensé, et qui n'a point de coeur! Ils ont des yeux et ne voient point, Ils ont des oreilles et n'entendent point. (Ⅱ) - ἀκούσατε δὴ ταυ̃τα λαὸς μωρὸς καὶ ἀκάρδιος ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοι̃ς καὶ οὐ βλέπουσιν ὠ̃τα αὐτοι̃ς καὶ οὐκ ἀκούουσιν (Ⅲ) - Audi, popule stulte, qui non habes cor :/ qui habentes oculos, non videtis ;/ et aures, et non auditis./ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃5 שמעו נא זאת עם סכל ואין לב עינים להם ולא יראו אזנים להם ולא ישמעו (Ⅴ)

Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
- Ne me craindrez-vous pas, dit l'Éternel, Ne tremblerez-vous pas devant moi? C'est moi qui ai donné à la mer le sable pour limite, Limite éternelle qu'elle ne doit pas franchir; Ses flots s'agitent, mais ils sont impuissants; Ils mugissent, mais ils ne la franchissent pas. (Ⅱ) - μὴ ἐμὲ οὐ φοβηθήσεσθε λέγει κύριος ἢ ἀπὸ προσώπου μου οὐκ εὐλαβηθήσεσθε τὸν τάξαντα ἄμμον ὅριον τη̨̃ θαλάσση̨ πρόσταγμα αἰώνιον καὶ οὐχ ὑπερβήσεται αὐτό καὶ ταραχθήσεται καὶ οὐ δυνήσεται καὶ ἠχήσουσιν τὰ κύματα αὐτη̃ς καὶ οὐχ ὑπερβήσεται αὐτό (Ⅲ) - Me ergo non timebitis, ait Dominus,/ et a facie mea non dolebitis ?/ qui posui arenam terminum mari,/ præceptum sempiternum quod non præteribit :/ et commovebuntur, et non poterunt ;/ et intumescent fluctus ejus, et non transibunt illud./ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃5 האותי לא תיראו נאם יהוה אם מפני לא תחילו אשר שמתי חול גבול לים חק עולם ולא יעברנהו ויתגעשו ולא יוכלו והמו גליו ולא יעברנהו (Ⅴ)

But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
- Ce peuple a un coeur indocile et rebelle; Ils se révoltent, et s'en vont. (Ⅱ) - τω̨̃ δὲ λαω̨̃ τούτω̨ ἐγενήθη καρδία ἀνήκοος καὶ ἀπειθής καὶ ἐξέκλιναν καὶ ἀπήλθοσαν (Ⅲ) - Populo autem huic factum est cor incredulum et exasperans :/ recesserunt, et abierunt./ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃5 ולעם הזה היה לב סורר ומורה סרו וילכו (Ⅴ)

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
- Ils ne disent pas dans leur coeur: Craignons l'Éternel, notre Dieu, Qui donne la pluie en son temps, La pluie de la première et de l'arrière saison, Et qui nous réserve les semaines destinées à la moisson. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐκ εἰ̃πον ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ αὐτω̃ν φοβηθω̃μεν δὴ κύριον τὸν θεὸν ἡμω̃ν τὸν διδόντα ἡμι̃ν ὑετὸν πρόιμον καὶ ὄψιμον κατὰ καιρὸν πληρώσεως προστάγματος θερισμου̃ καὶ ἐφύλαξεν ἡμι̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et non dixerunt in corde suo :/ Metuamus Dominum Deum nostrum,/ qui dat nobis pluviam temporaneam et serotinam in tempore suo,/ plenitudinem annuæ messis custodientem nobis./ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃5 ולא אמרו בלבבם נירא נא את יהוה אלהינו הנתן גשם *וירה **יורה ומלקוש בעתו שבעות חקות קציר ישמר לנו (Ⅴ)

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
- C'est à cause de vos iniquités que ces dispensations n'ont pas lieu, Ce sont vos péchés qui vous privent de ces biens. (Ⅱ) - αἱ ἀνομίαι ὑμω̃ν ἐξέκλιναν ταυ̃τα καὶ αἱ ἁμαρτίαι ὑμω̃ν ἀπέστησαν τὰ ἀγαθὰ ἀφ' ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Iniquitates vestræ declinaverunt hæc,/ et peccata vestra prohibuerunt bonum a vobis :/ (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃5 עונותיכם הטו אלה וחטאותיכם מנעו הטוב מכם (Ⅴ)

For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
- Car il se trouve parmi mon peuple des méchants; Ils épient comme l'oiseleur qui dresse des pièges, Ils tendent des filets, et prennent des hommes. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι εὑρέθησαν ἐν τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ μου ἀσεβει̃ς καὶ παγίδας ἔστησαν διαφθει̃ραι ἄνδρας καὶ συνελαμβάνοσαν (Ⅲ) - quia inventi sunt in populo meo impii insidiantes quasi aucupes,/ laqueos ponentes et pedicas ad capiendos viros./ (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃5 כי נמצאו בעמי רשעים ישור כשך יקושים הציבו משחית אנשים ילכדו (Ⅴ)

As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.
- Comme une cage est remplie d'oiseaux, Leurs maisons sont remplies de fraude; C'est ainsi qu'ils deviennent puissants et riches. (Ⅱ) - ὡς παγὶς ἐφεσταμένη πλήρης πετεινω̃ν οὕτως οἱ οἰ̃κοι αὐτω̃ν πλήρεις δόλου διὰ του̃το ἐμεγαλύνθησαν καὶ ἐπλούτησαν (Ⅲ) - Sicut decipula plena avibus,/ sic domus eorum plenæ dolo :/ ideo magnificati sunt et ditati./ (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃5 ככלוב מלא עוף כן בתיהם מלאים מרמה על כן גדלו ויעשירו (Ⅴ)

They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
- Ils s'engraissent, ils sont brillants d'embonpoint; Ils dépassent toute mesure dans le mal, Ils ne défendent pas la cause, la cause de l'orphelin, et ils prospèrent; Ils ne font pas droit aux indigents. (Ⅱ) - καὶ παρέβησαν κρίσιν οὐκ ἔκριναν κρίσιν ὀρφανου̃ καὶ κρίσιν χήρας οὐκ ἐκρίνοσαν (Ⅲ) - Incrassati sunt et impinguati,/ et præterierunt sermones meos pessime./ Causam viduæ non judicaverunt,/ causam pupilli non direxerunt,/ et judicium pauperum non judicaverunt./ (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃5 שמנו עשתו גם עברו דברי רע דין לא דנו דין יתום ויצליחו ומשפט אביונים לא שפטו (Ⅴ)

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
- Ne châtierais-je pas ces choses-là, dit l'Éternel, Ne me vengerais-je pas d'une pareille nation? (Ⅱ) - μὴ ἐπὶ τούτοις οὐκ ἐπισκέψομαι λέγει κύριος ἢ ἐν ἔθνει τω̨̃ τοιούτω̨ οὐκ ἐκδικήσει ἡ ψυχή μου (Ⅲ) - Numquid super his non visitabo, dicit Dominus,/ aut super gentem hujuscemodi non ulciscetur anima mea ?/ (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃5 העל אלה לא אפקד נאם יהוה אם בגוי אשר כזה לא תתנקם נפשי ס (Ⅴ)

A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
- Des choses horribles, abominables, Se font dans le pays. (Ⅱ) - ἔκστασις καὶ φρικτὰ ἐγενήθη ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Stupor et mirabilia facta sunt in terra :/ (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃5 שמה ושערורה נהיתה בארץ (Ⅴ)

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
- Les prophètes prophétisent avec fausseté, Les sacrificateurs dominent sous leur conduite, Et mon peuple prend plaisir à cela. Que ferez-vous à la fin? (Ⅱ) - οἱ προφη̃ται προφητεύουσιν ἄδικα καὶ οἱ ἱερει̃ς ἐπεκρότησαν ται̃ς χερσὶν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ὁ λαός μου ἠγάπησεν οὕτως καὶ τί ποιήσετε εἰς τὰ μετὰ ταυ̃τα (Ⅲ) - prophetæ prophetabant mendacium,/ et sacerdotes applaudebant manibus suis,/ et populus meus dilexit talia./ Quid igitur fiet in novissimo ejus ?] (Ⅳ) - 31 ׃5 הנביאים נבאו בשקר והכהנים ירדו על ידיהם ועמי אהבו כן ומה תעשו לאחריתה (Ⅴ)
