22. 1  
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (Ⅲ)
- Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃22  ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 2  
Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.
- Et toi, fils de l'homme, jugeras-tu, jugeras-tu la ville sanguinaire? Fais-lui connaître toutes ses abominations! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου εἰ κρινει̃ς τὴν πόλιν τω̃ν αἱμάτων καὶ παράδειξον αὐτη̨̃ πάσας τὰς ἀνομίας αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Et tu, fili hominis, nonne judicas, nonne judicas civitatem sanguinum ? (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃22  ואתה בן אדם התשפט התשפט את עיר הדמים והודעתה את כל תועבותיה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 3  
Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.
- Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Ville qui répands le sang au milieu de toi, pour que ton jour arrive, et qui te fais des idoles pour te souiller! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐρει̃ς τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ὠ̃ πόλις ἐκχέουσα αἵματα ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτη̃ς του̃ ἐλθει̃ν καιρὸν αὐτη̃ς καὶ ποιου̃σα ἐνθυμήματα καθ' αὑτη̃ς του̃ μιαίνειν αὐτήν (Ⅲ)
- Et ostendes ei omnes abominationes suas, et dices : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Civitas effundens sanguinem in medio sui, ut veniat tempus ejus : et quæ fecit idola contra semetipsam, ut pollueretur. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃22  ואמרת כה אמר אדני יהוה עיר שפכת דם בתוכה לבוא עתה ועשתה גלולים עליה לטמאה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 4  
Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
- Tu es coupable à cause du sang que tu as répandu, et tu t'es souillée par les idoles que tu as faites. Tu as ainsi avancé tes jours, et tu es parvenue au terme de tes années. C'est pourquoi je te rends un objet d'opprobre pour les nations et de moquerie pour tous les pays. (Ⅱ)
- ἐν τοι̃ς αἵμασιν αὐτω̃ν οἱ̃ς ἐξέχεας παραπέπτωκας καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς ἐνθυμήμασίν σου οἱ̃ς ἐποίεις ἐμιαίνου καὶ ἤγγισας τὰς ἡμέρας σου καὶ ἤγαγες καιρὸν ἐτω̃ν σου διὰ του̃το δέδωκά σε εἰς ὄνειδος τοι̃ς ἔθνεσιν καὶ εἰς ἐμπαιγμὸν πάσαις ται̃ς χώραις (Ⅲ)
- In sanguine tuo, qui a te effusus est, deliquisti, et in idolis tuis, quæ fecisti, polluta es : et appropinquare fecisti dies tuos, et adduxisti tempus annorum tuorum : propterea dedi te opprobrium gentibus, et irrisionem universis terris. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃22  בדמך אשר שפכת אשמת ובגלוליך אשר עשית טמאת ותקריבי ימיך ותבוא עד שנותיך על כן נתתיך חרפה לגוים וקלסה לכל הארצות ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 5  
Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.
- Ceux qui sont près et ceux qui sont au loin se moqueront de toi, qui es souillée de réputation et pleine de trouble. (Ⅱ)
- ται̃ς ἐγγιζούσαις πρὸς σὲ καὶ ται̃ς μακρὰν ἀπεχούσαις ἀπὸ σου̃ καὶ ἐμπαίξονται ἐν σοί ἀκάθαρτος ἡ ὀνομαστὴ καὶ πολλὴ ἐν ται̃ς ἀνομίαις (Ⅲ)
- Quæ juxta sunt, et quæ procul a te, triumphabunt de te, sordida, nobilis, grandis interitu. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃22  הקרבות והרחקות ממך יתקלסו בך טמאת השם רבת המהומה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 6  
Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.
- Voici, au dedans de toi, tous les princes d'Israël usent de leur force pour répandre le sang; (Ⅱ)
- ἰδοὺ οἱ ἀφηγούμενοι οἴκου Ισραηλ ἕκαστος πρὸς τοὺς συγγενει̃ς αὐτου̃ συνανεφύροντο ἐν σοί ὅπως ἐκχέωσιν αἱ̃μα (Ⅲ)
- Ecce principes Israël singuli in brachio suo fuerunt in te, ad effundendum sanguinem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃22  הנה נשיאי ישראל איש לזרעו היו בך למען שפך דם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 7  
In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
- au dedans de toi, l'on méprise père et mère, on maltraite l'étranger, on opprime l'orphelin et la veuve. (Ⅱ)
- πατέρα καὶ μητέρα ἐκακολόγουν ἐν σοὶ καὶ πρὸς τὸν προσήλυτον ἀνεστρέφοντο ἐν ἀδικίαις ἐν σοί ὀρφανὸν καὶ χήραν κατεδυνάστευον ἐν σοί (Ⅲ)
- Patrem et matrem contumeliis affecerunt : in te advenam calumniati sunt in medio tui : pupillum et viduam contristaverunt apud te. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃22  אב ואם הקלו בך לגר עשו בעשק בתוכך יתום ואלמנה הונו בך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 8  
Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.
- Tu dédaignes mes sanctuaires, tu profanes mes sabbats. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τὰ ἅγιά μου ἐξουδένουν καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἐβεβήλουν ἐν σοί (Ⅲ)
- Sanctuaria mea sprevisti, et sabbata mea polluisti. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃22  קדשי בזית ואת שבתתי חללת ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 9  
In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.
- Il y a chez toi des calomniateurs pour répandre le sang; chez toi, l'on mange sur les montagnes; on commet le crime dans ton sein. (Ⅱ)
- ἄνδρες λη̨σταὶ ἐν σοί ὅπως ἐκχέωσιν ἐν σοὶ αἱ̃μα καὶ ἐπὶ τω̃ν ὀρέων ἤσθοσαν ἐν σοί ἀνόσια ἐποίουν ἐν μέσω̨ σου (Ⅲ)
- Viri detractores fuerunt in te ad effundendum sanguinem, et super montes comederunt in te : scelus operati sunt in medio tui. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃22  אנשי רכיל היו בך למען שפך דם ואל ההרים אכלו בך זמה עשו בתוכך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 10  
In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.
- Au milieu de toi, on découvre la nudité du père; au milieu de toi, on fait violence à la femme pendant son impureté. (Ⅱ)
- αἰσχύνην πατρὸς ἀπεκάλυψαν ἐν σοὶ καὶ ἐν ἀκαθαρσίαις ἀποκαθημένην ἐταπείνουν ἐν σοί (Ⅲ)
- Verecundiora patris discooperuerunt in te ; immunditiam menstruatæ humiliaverunt in te : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃22  ערות אב גלה בך טמאת הנדה ענו בך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 11  
And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.
- Au milieu de toi, chacun se livre à des abominations avec la femme de son prochain, chacun se souille par l'inceste avec sa belle-fille, chacun déshonore sa soeur, fille de son père. (Ⅱ)
- ἕκαστος τὴν γυναι̃κα του̃ πλησίον αὐτου̃ ἠνομου̃σαν καὶ ἕκαστος τὴν νύμφην αὐτου̃ ἐμίαινεν ἐν ἀσεβεία̨ καὶ ἕκαστος τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτου̃ θυγατέρα του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ ἐταπείνουν ἐν σοί (Ⅲ)
- et unusquisque in uxorem proximi sui operatus est abominationem, et socer nurum suam polluit nefarie : frater sororem suam, filiam patris sui, oppressit in te. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃22  ואיש את אשת רעהו עשה תועבה ואיש את כלתו טמא בזמה ואיש את אחתו בת אביו ענה בך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 12  
In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.
- Chez toi, l'on reçoit des présents pour répandre le sang: tu exiges un intérêt et une usure, tu dépouilles ton prochain par la violence, et moi, tu m'oublies, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- δω̃ρα ἐλαμβάνοσαν ἐν σοί ὅπως ἐκχέωσιν αἱ̃μα τόκον καὶ πλεονασμὸν ἐλαμβάνοσαν ἐν σοί καὶ συνετελέσω συντέλειαν κακίας σου τὴν ἐν καταδυναστεία̨ ἐμου̃ δὲ ἐπελάθου λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ)
- Munera acceperunt apud te ad effundendum sanguinem : usuram et superabundantiam accepisti, et avare proximos tuos calumniabaris : meique oblita es, ait Dominus Deus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃22  שחד לקחו בך למען שפך דם נשך ותרבית לקחת ותבצעי רעיך בעשק ואתי שכחת נאם אדני יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 13  
Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
- Voici, je frappe des mains à cause de la cupidité que tu as eue, et du sang qui a été répandu au milieu de toi. (Ⅱ)
- ἐὰν δὲ πατάξω χει̃ρά μου πρὸς χει̃ρά μου ἐφ' οἱ̃ς συντετέλεσαι οἱ̃ς ἐποίησας καὶ ἐπὶ τοι̃ς αἵμασίν σου τοι̃ς γεγενημένοις ἐν μέσω̨ σου (Ⅲ)
- Ecce complosi manus meas super avaritiam tuam quam fecisti, et super sanguinem qui effusus est in medio tui. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃22  והנה הכיתי כפי אל בצעך אשר עשית ועל דמך אשר היו בתוכך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 14  
Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.
- Ton coeur sera-t-il ferme, tes mains auront-elles de la force dans les jours où j'agirai contre toi? Moi, l'Éternel, j'ai parlé, et j'agirai. (Ⅱ)
- εἰ ὑποστήσεται ἡ καρδία σου εἰ κρατήσουσιν αἱ χει̃ρές σου ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις αἱ̃ς ἐγὼ ποιω̃ ἐν σοί ἐγὼ κύριος λελάληκα καὶ ποιήσω (Ⅲ)
- Numquid sustinebit cor tuum, aut prævalebunt manus tuæ, in diebus quos ego faciam tibi ? Ego Dominus locutus sum, et faciam. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃22  היעמד לבך אם תחזקנה ידיך לימים אשר אני עשה אותך אני יהוה דברתי ועשיתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 15  
And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.
- Je te disperserai parmi les nations, je te répandrai en divers pays, et je ferai disparaître ton impureté du milieu de toi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ διασκορπιω̃ σε ἐν τοι̃ς ἔθνεσιν καὶ διασπερω̃ σε ἐν ται̃ς χώραις καὶ ἐκλείψει ἡ ἀκαθαρσία σου ἐκ σου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Et dispergam te in nationes, et ventilabo te in terras, et deficere faciam immunditiam tuam a te. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃22  והפיצותי אותך בגוים וזריתיך בארצות והתמתי טמאתך ממך ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 16  
And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
- Tu seras souillée par toi-même aux yeux des nations, et tu sauras que je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ κατακληρονομήσω ἐν σοὶ κατ' ὀφθαλμοὺς τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν καὶ γνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ κύριος (Ⅲ)
- Et possidebo te in conspectu gentium : et scies quia ego Dominus.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃22  ונחלת בך לעיני גוים וידעת כי אני יהוה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 17  
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (Ⅲ)
- Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃22  ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 18  
Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.
- Fils de l'homme, la maison d'Israël est devenue pour moi comme des scories; ils sont tous de l'airain, de l'étain, du fer, du plomb, dans le creuset; ce sont des scories d'argent. (Ⅱ)
- υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἰδοὺ γεγόνασί μοι ὁ οἰ̃κος Ισραηλ ἀναμεμειγμένοι πάντες χαλκω̨̃ καὶ σιδήρω̨ καὶ κασσιτέρω̨ καὶ μολίβω̨ ἐν μέσω̨ ἀργυρίου ἀναμεμειγμένος ἐστίν (Ⅲ)
- Fili hominis, versa est mihi domus Israël in scoriam : omnes isti æs, et stannum, et ferrum, et plumbum in medio fornacis : scoria argenti facti sunt. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃22  בן אדם היו לי בית ישראל *לסוג **לסיג כלם נחשת ובדיל וברזל ועופרת בתוך כור סגים כסף היו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 19  
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
- C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Parce que vous êtes tous devenus comme des scories, voici, je vous rassemblerai au milieu de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)
- διὰ του̃το εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἐγένεσθε πάντες εἰς σύγκρασιν μίαν διὰ του̃το ἐγὼ εἰσδέχομαι ὑμα̃ς εἰς μέσον Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ)
- Propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Eo quod versi estis omnes in scoriam, propterea ecce ego congregabo vos in medio Jerusalem, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃22  לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה יען היות כלכם לסגים לכן הנני קבץ אתכם אל תוך ירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 20  
As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.
- Comme on rassemble l'argent, l'airain, le fer, le plomb et l'étain, dans le creuset, et qu'on souffle le feu pour les fondre, ainsi je vous rassemblerai dans ma colère et dans ma fureur, et je vous mettrai au creuset pour vous fondre. (Ⅱ)
- καθὼς εἰσδέχεται ἄργυρος καὶ χαλκὸς καὶ σίδηρος καὶ κασσίτερος καὶ μόλιβος εἰς μέσον καμίνου του̃ ἐκφυση̃σαι εἰς αὐτὸ πυ̃ρ του̃ χωνευθη̃ναι οὕτως εἰσδέξομαι ὑμα̃ς ἐν ὀργη̨̃ μου καὶ συνάξω καὶ χωνεύσω ὑμα̃ς (Ⅲ)
- congregatione argenti, et æris, et stanni, et ferri, et plumbi, in medio fornacis, ut succendam in ea ignem ad conflandum. Sic congregabo in furore meo, et in ira mea : et requiescam, et conflabo vos. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃22  קבצת כסף ונחשת וברזל ועופרת ובדיל אל תוך כור לפחת עליו אש להנתיך כן אקבץ באפי ובחמתי והנחתי והתכתי אתכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 21  
Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst therof.
- Je vous rassemblerai, et je soufflerai contre vous avec le feu de ma fureur; et vous serez fondus au milieu de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκφυσήσω ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς ἐν πυρὶ ὀργη̃ς μου καὶ χωνευθήσεσθε ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Et congregabo vos, et succendam vos in igne furoris mei, et conflabimini in medio ejus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃22  וכנסתי אתכם ונפחתי עליכם באש עברתי ונתכתם בתוכה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 22  
As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.
- Comme l'argent fond dans le creuset, ainsi vous serez fondus au milieu d'elle. Et vous saurez que moi, l'Éternel, j'ai répandu ma fureur sur vous. (Ⅱ)
- ὃν τρόπον χωνεύεται ἀργύριον ἐν μέσω̨ καμίνου οὕτως χωνευθήσεσθε ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ἐξέχεα τὸν θυμόν μου ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Ut conflatur argentum in medio fornacis, sic eritis in medio ejus : et scietis quia ego Dominus cum effuderim indignationem meam super vos.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃22  כהתוך כסף בתוך כור כן תתכו בתוכה וידעתם כי אני יהוה שפכתי חמתי עליכם פ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 23  
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (Ⅲ)
- Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃22  ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 24  
Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
- Fils de l'homme, dis à Jérusalem: Tu es une terre qui n'est pas purifiée, qui n'est pas arrosée de pluie au jour de la colère. (Ⅱ)
- υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου εἰπὸν αὐτη̨̃ σὺ εἰ̃ γη̃ ἡ οὐ βρεχομένη οὐδὲ ὑετὸς ἐγένετο ἐπὶ σὲ ἐν ἡμέρα̨ ὀργη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Fili hominis, dic ei : Tu es terra immunda, et non compluta in die furoris. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃22  בן אדם אמר לה את ארץ לא מטהרה היא לא גשמה ביום זעם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 25  
There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
- Ses prophètes conspirent dans son sein; comme des lions rugissants qui déchirent leur proie, ils dévorent les âmes, ils s'emparent des richesses et des choses précieuses, ils multiplient les veuves au milieu d'elle. (Ⅱ)
- ἡ̃ς οἱ ἀφηγούμενοι ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτη̃ς ὡς λέοντες ὠρυόμενοι ἁρπάζοντες ἁρπάγματα ψυχὰς κατεσθίοντες ἐν δυναστεία̨ τιμὰς λαμβάνοντες ἐν ἀδικία̨ καὶ αἱ χη̃ραί σου ἐπληθύνθησαν ἐν μέσω̨ σου (Ⅲ)
- Conjuratio prophetarum in medio ejus : sicut leo rugiens, rapiensque prædam, animas devoraverunt : opes et pretium acceperunt : viduas ejus multiplicaverunt in medio illius. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃22  קשר נביאיה בתוכה כארי שואג טרף טרף נפש אכלו חסן ויקר יקחו אלמנותיה הרבו בתוכה ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 26  
Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
- Ses sacrificateurs violent ma loi et profanent mes sanctuaires, ils ne distinguent pas ce qui est saint de ce qui est profane, ils ne font pas connaître la différence entre ce qui est impur et ce qui est pur, ils détournent les yeux de mes sabbats, et je suis profané au milieu d'eux. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ οἱ ἱερει̃ς αὐτη̃ς ἠθέτησαν νόμον μου καὶ ἐβεβήλουν τὰ ἅγιά μου ἀνὰ μέσον ἁγίου καὶ βεβήλου οὐ διέστελλον καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἀκαθάρτου καὶ του̃ καθαρου̃ οὐ διέστελλον καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν σαββάτων μου παρεκάλυπτον τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐβεβηλούμην ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Sacerdotes ejus contempserunt legem meam, et polluerunt sanctuaria mea : inter sanctum et profanum non habuerunt distantiam, et inter pollutum et mundum non intellexerunt : et a sabbatis meis averterunt oculos suos, et coinquinabar in medio eorum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 26 ׃22  כהניה חמסו תורתי ויחללו קדשי בין קדש לחל לא הבדילו ובין הטמא לטהור לא הודיעו ומשבתותי העלימו עיניהם ואחל בתוכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 27  
Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
- Ses chefs sont dans son sein comme des loups qui déchirent leur proie; ils répandent le sang, perdent les âmes, pour assouvir leur cupidité. (Ⅱ)
- οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτη̃ς ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτη̃ς ὡς λύκοι ἁρπάζοντες ἁρπάγματα του̃ ἐκχέαι αἱ̃μα ὅπως πλεονεξία̨ πλεονεκτω̃σιν (Ⅲ)
- Principes ejus in medio illius quasi lupi rapientes prædam ad effundendum sanguinem, et ad perdendas animas, et avare ad sectanda lucra. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 27 ׃22  שריה בקרבה כזאבים טרפי טרף לשפך דם לאבד נפשות למען בצע בצע ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 28  
And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
- Et ses prophètes ont pour eux des enduits de plâtre, de vaines visions, des oracles menteurs; ils disent: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel! Et l'Éternel ne leur a point parlé. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ οἱ προφη̃ται αὐτη̃ς ἀλείφοντες αὐτοὺς πεσου̃νται ὁρω̃ντες μάταια μαντευόμενοι ψευδη̃ λέγοντες τάδε λέγει κύριος καὶ κύριος οὐ λελάληκεν (Ⅲ)
- Prophetæ autem ejus liniebant eos absque temperamento, videntes vana, et divinantes eis mendacium, dicentes : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : cum Dominus non sit locutus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 28 ׃22  ונביאיה טחו להם תפל חזים שוא וקסמים להם כזב אמרים כה אמר אדני יהוה ויהוה לא דבר ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 29  
The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
- Le peuple du pays se livre à la violence, commet des rapines, opprime le malheureux et l'indigent, foule l'étranger contre toute justice. (Ⅱ)
- λαὸν τη̃ς γη̃ς ἐκπιεζου̃ντες ἀδικία̨ καὶ διαρπάζοντες ἁρπάγματα πτωχὸν καὶ πένητα καταδυναστεύοντες καὶ πρὸς τὸν προσήλυτον οὐκ ἀναστρεφόμενοι μετὰ κρίματος (Ⅲ)
- Populi terræ calumniabantur calumniam, et rapiebant violenter : egenum et pauperem affligebant, et advenam opprimebant calumnia absque judicio. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 29 ׃22  עם הארץ עשקו עשק וגזלו גזל ועני ואביון הונו ואת הגר עשקו בלא משפט ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 30  
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
- Je cherche parmi eux un homme qui élève un mur, qui se tienne à la brèche devant moi en faveur du pays, afin que je ne le détruise pas; mais je n'en trouve point. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐζήτουν ἐξ αὐτω̃ν ἄνδρα ἀναστρεφόμενον ὀρθω̃ς καὶ ἑστω̃τα πρὸ προσώπου μου ὁλοσχερω̃ς ἐν καιρω̨̃ τη̃ς γη̃ς του̃ μὴ εἰς τέλος ἐξαλει̃ψαι αὐτήν καὶ οὐχ εὑ̃ρον (Ⅲ)
- Et quæsivi de eis virum qui interponeret sepem, et staret oppositus contra me pro terra, ne dissiparem eam : et non inveni. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 30 ׃22  ואבקש מהם איש גדר גדר ועמד בפרץ לפני בעד הארץ לבלתי שחתה ולא מצאתי ‬ (Ⅴ)
22. 31  
Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
- Je répandrai sur eux ma fureur, je les consumerai par le feu de ma colère, je ferai retomber leurs oeuvres sur leur tête, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐξέχεα ἐπ' αὐτὴν θυμόν μου ἐν πυρὶ ὀργη̃ς μου του̃ συντελέσαι τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτω̃ν εἰς κεφαλὰς αὐτω̃ν δέδωκα λέγει κύριος κύριος (Ⅲ)
- Et effudi super eos indignationem meam ; in igne iræ meæ consumpsi eos : viam eorum in caput eorum reddidi, ait Dominus Deus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 31 ׃22  ואשפך עליהם זעמי באש עברתי כליתים דרכם בראשם נתתי נאם אדני יהוה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
