Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (Ⅲ) - Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃35 ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר (Ⅴ)

Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
- Fils de l'homme, tourne ta face vers la montagne de Séir, Et prophétise contre elle! (Ⅱ) - υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἐπίστρεψον τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἐπ' ὄρος Σηιρ καὶ προφήτευσον ἐπ' αὐτὸ (Ⅲ) - Fili hominis, pone faciem tuam adversum montem Seir, et prophetabis de eo, et dices illi : (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃35 בן אדם שים פניך על הר שעיר והנבא עליו (Ⅴ)

And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
- Tu lui diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Voici, j'en veux à toi, montagne de Séir! J'étends ma main sur toi, Et je fais de toi une solitude et un désert. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σέ ὄρος Σηιρ καὶ ἐκτενω̃ τὴν χει̃ρά μου ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ δώσω σε ἔρημον καὶ ἐρημωθήση̨ (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus Deus :/ Ecce ego ad te, mons Seir :/ et extendam manum meam super te,/ et dabo te desolatum atque desertum./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃35 ואמרת לו כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני אליך הר שעיר ונטיתי ידי עליך ונתתיך שממה ומשמה (Ⅴ)

I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
- Je mettrai tes villes en ruines, Tu deviendras une solitude, Et tu sauras que je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ται̃ς πόλεσίν σου ἐρημίαν ποιήσω καὶ σὺ ἔρημος ἔση̨ καὶ γνώση̨ ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος (Ⅲ) - Urbes tuas demoliar,/ et tu desertus eris :/ et scies quia ego Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃35 עריך חרבה אשים ואתה שממה תהיה וידעת כי אני יהוה (Ⅴ)

Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
- Parce que tu avais une haine éternelle, Parce que tu as précipité par le glaive les enfants d'Israël, Au jour de leur détresse, Au temps où l'iniquité était à son terme, (Ⅱ) - ἀντὶ του̃ γενέσθαι σε ἐχθρὰν αἰωνίαν καὶ ἐνεκάθισας τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ Ισραηλ δόλω̨ ἐν χειρὶ ἐχθρω̃ν μαχαίρα̨ ἐν καιρω̨̃ ἀδικίας ἐπ' ἐσχάτω̨ (Ⅲ) - Eo quod fueris inimicus sempiternus,/ et concluseris filios Israël in manus gladii/ in tempore afflictionis eorum,/ in tempore iniquitatis extremæ :/ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃35 יען היות לך איבת עולם ותגר את בני ישראל על ידי חרב בעת אידם בעת עון קץ (Ⅴ)

Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
- Je suis vivant! dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, Je te mettrai à sang, et le sang te poursuivra; Puisque tu n'as pas haï le sang, Le sang te poursuivra. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το ζω̃ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος κύριος εἰ μὴν εἰς αἱ̃μα ἥμαρτες καὶ αἱ̃μά σε διώξεται (Ⅲ) - propterea vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus,/ quoniam sanguini tradam te,/ et sanguis te persequetur :/ et cum sanguinem oderis,/ sanguis persequetur te./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃35 לכן חי אני נאם אדני יהוה כי לדם אעשך ודם ירדפך אם לא דם שנאת ודם ירדפך (Ⅴ)

Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
- Je ferai de la montagne de Séir une solitude et un désert, Et j'en exterminerai les allants et les venants. (Ⅱ) - καὶ δώσω τὸ ὄρος Σηιρ εἰς ἔρημον καὶ ἠρημωμένον καὶ ἀπολω̃ ἀπ' αὐτου̃ ἀνθρώπους καὶ κτήνη (Ⅲ) - Et dabo montem Seir desolatum atque desertum,/ et auferam de eo euntem et redeuntem./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃35 ונתתי את הר שעיר לשממה ושממה והכרתי ממנו עבר ושב (Ⅴ)

And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
- Je remplirai de morts ses montagnes; Sur tes collines, dans tes vallées, dans tous tes ravins, Tomberont ceux qui seront frappés par l'épée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐμπλήσω τω̃ν τραυματιω̃ν σου τοὺς βουνοὺς καὶ τὰς φάραγγάς σου καὶ ἐν πα̃σι τοι̃ς πεδίοις σου τετραυματισμένοι μαχαίρα̨ πεσου̃νται ἐν σοί (Ⅲ) - Et implebo montes ejus occisorum suorum :/ in collibus tuis, et in vallibus tuis atque in torrentibus,/ interfecti gladio cadent./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃35 ומלאתי את הריו חלליו גבעותיך וגאותיך וכל אפיקיך חללי חרב יפלו בהם (Ⅴ)

I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
- Je ferai de toi des solitudes éternelles, Tes villes ne seront plus habitées, Et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἐρημίαν αἰώνιον θήσομαί σε καὶ αἱ πόλεις σου οὐ μὴ κατοικηθω̃σιν ἔτι καὶ γνώση̨ ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος (Ⅲ) - In solitudines sempiternas tradam te,/ et civitates tuæ non habitabuntur :/ et scietis quia ego Dominus Deus./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃35 שממות עולם אתנך ועריך לא *תישבנה **תשבנה וידעתם כי אני יהוה (Ⅴ)

Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
- Parce que tu as dit: Les deux nations, les deux pays seront à moi, Et nous en prendrons possession, Quand même l'Éternel était là, (Ⅱ) - διὰ τὸ εἰπει̃ν σε τὰ δύο ἔθνη καὶ αἱ δύο χω̃ραι ἐμαὶ ἔσονται καὶ κληρονομήσω αὐτάς καὶ κύριος ἐκει̃ ἐστιν (Ⅲ) - Eo quod dixeris : Duæ gentes et duæ terræ meæ erunt,/ et hæreditate possidebo eas,/ cum Dominus esset ibi :/ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃35 יען אמרך את שני הגוים ואת שתי הארצות לי תהיינה וירשנוה ויהוה שם היה (Ⅴ)

Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
- Je suis vivant! dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, J'agirai avec la colère et la fureur Que tu as montrées, dans ta haine contre eux; Et je me ferai connaître au milieu d'eux, Quand je te jugerai. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το ζω̃ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος καὶ ποιήσω σοι κατὰ τὴν ἔχθραν σου καὶ γνωσθήσομαί σοι ἡνίκα ἂν κρίνω σε (Ⅲ) - propterea vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus,/ quia faciam juxta iram tuam, et secundum zelum tuum,/ quem fecisti odio habens eos :/ et notus efficiar per eos, cum te judicavero./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃35 לכן חי אני נאם אדני יהוה ועשיתי כאפך וכקנאתך אשר עשיתה משנאתיך בם ונודעתי בם כאשר אשפטך (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
- Tu sauras que moi, l'Éternel, J'ai entendu tous les outrages Que tu as proférés contre les montagnes d'Israël, En disant: Elles sont dévastées, Elles nous sont livrées comme une proie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ γνώση̨ ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ἤκουσα τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τω̃ν βλασφημιω̃ν σου ὅτι εἰ̃πας τὰ ὄρη Ισραηλ ἔρημα ἡμι̃ν δέδοται εἰς κατάβρωμα (Ⅲ) - Et scies quia ego Dominus audivi universa opprobria tua/ quæ locutus es de montibus Israël, dicens :/ Deserti nobis ad devorandum dati sunt./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃35 וידעת כי אני יהוה שמעתי את כל נאצותיך אשר אמרת על הרי ישראל לאמר *שממה **שממו לנו נתנו לאכלה (Ⅴ)

Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.
- Vous vous êtes élevés contre moi par vos discours, Vous avez multiplié vos paroles contre moi: J'ai entendu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐμεγαλορημόνησας ἐπ' ἐμὲ τω̨̃ στόματί σου ἐγὼ ἤκουσα (Ⅲ) - Et insurrexistis super me ore vestro,/ et derogastis adversum me verba vestra :/ ego audivi./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃35 ותגדילו עלי בפיכם והעתרתם עלי דבריכם אני שמעתי ס (Ⅴ)

Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
- Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Lorsque tout le pays sera dans la joie, Je ferai de toi une solitude. (Ⅱ) - τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐν τη̨̃ εὐφροσύνη̨ πάσης τη̃ς γη̃ς ἔρημον ποιήσω σε (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus Deus :/ Lætante universa terra,/ in solitudinem te redigam :/ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃35 כה אמר אדני יהוה כשמח כל הארץ שממה אעשה לך (Ⅴ)

As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
- A cause de la joie que tu as éprouvée Parce que l'héritage de la maison d'Israël était dévasté, Je te traiterai de la même manière; Tu deviendras une solitude, montagne de Séir, Toi, et Édom tout entier. Et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἔρημον ἔση̨ ὄρος Σηιρ καὶ πα̃σα ἡ Ιδουμαία ἐξαναλωθήσεται καὶ γνώση̨ ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - sicuti gavisus es super hæreditatem domus Israël/ eo quod fuerit dissipata,/ sic faciam tibi :/ dissipatus eris, mons Seir, et Idumæa omnis :/ et scient quia ego Dominus.] (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃35 כשמחתך לנחלת בית ישראל על אשר שממה כן אעשה לך שממה תהיה הר שעיר וכל אדום כלה וידעו כי אני יהוה פ (Ⅴ)
