Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (Ⅲ) - Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃7 ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר (Ⅴ)

Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
- Et toi, fils de l'homme, ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel, Sur le pays d'Israël: Voici la fin! La fin vient sur les quatre extrémités du pays! (Ⅱ) - καὶ σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος τη̨̃ γη̨̃ του̃ Ισραηλ πέρας ἥκει τὸ πέρας ἥκει ἐπὶ τὰς τέσσαρας πτέρυγας τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et tu, fili hominis, hæc dicit Dominus Deus terræ Israël : [Finis venit : venit finis super quatuor plagas terræ./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃7 ואתה בן אדם כה אמר אדני יהוה לאדמת ישראל קץ בא הקץ על *ארבעת **ארבע כנפות הארץ (Ⅴ)

Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
- Maintenant la fin vient sur toi; J'enverrai ma colère contre toi, Je te jugerai selon tes voies, Je te chargerai de toutes tes abominations. (Ⅱ) - ἥκει τὸ πέρας (Ⅲ) - Nunc finis super te, et immittam furorem meum in te :/ et judicabo te juxta vias tuas,/ et ponam contra te omnes abominationes tuas./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃7 עתה הקץ עליך ושלחתי אפי בך ושפטתיך כדרכיך ונתתי עליך את כל תועבתיך (Ⅴ)

And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
- Mon oeil sera pour toi sans pitié, Et je n'aurai point de miséricorde; Mais je te chargerai de tes voies, Et tes abominations seront au milieu de toi; Et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἐπὶ σὲ τὸν κατοικου̃ντα τὴν γη̃ν ἥκει ὁ καιρός ἤγγικεν ἡ ἡμέρα οὐ μετὰ θορύβων οὐδὲ μετὰ ὠδίνων (Ⅲ) - Et non parcet oculus meus super te, et non miserebor :/ sed vias tuas ponam super te, et abominationes tuæ in medio tui erunt,/ et scietis quia ego Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃7 ולא תחוס עיני עליך ולא אחמול כי דרכיך עליך אתן ותועבותיך בתוכך תהיין וידעתם כי אני יהוה פ (Ⅴ)

Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.
- Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Un malheur, un malheur unique! voici, il vient! (Ⅱ) - νυ̃ν ἐγγύθεν ἐκχεω̃ τὴν ὀργήν μου ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ συντελέσω τὸν θυμόν μου ἐν σοὶ καὶ κρινω̃ σε ἐν ται̃ς ὁδοι̃ς σου καὶ δώσω ἐπὶ σὲ πάντα τὰ βδελύγματά σου (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus Deus :/ Afflictio una, afflictio ecce venit./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃7 כה אמר אדני יהוה רעה אחת רעה הנה באה (Ⅴ)

An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
- La fin vient, la fin vient, elle se réveille contre toi! Voici, elle vient! (Ⅱ) - οὐ φείσεται ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου οὐδὲ μὴ ἐλεήσω διότι τὰς ὁδούς σου ἐπὶ σὲ δώσω καὶ τὰ βδελύγματά σου ἐν μέσω̨ σου ἔσονται καὶ ἐπιγνώση̨ διότι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ὁ τύπτων (Ⅲ) - Finis venit, venit finis :/ evigilavit adversum te, ecce venit./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃7 קץ בא בא הקץ הקיץ אליך הנה באה (Ⅴ)

The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
- Ton tour arrive, habitant du pays! Le temps vient, le jour approche, jour de trouble, Et plus de cris de joie dans les montagnes! (Ⅱ) - νυ̃ν τὸ πέρας πρὸς σέ καὶ ἀποστελω̃ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ἐκδικήσω σε ἐν ται̃ς ὁδοι̃ς σου καὶ δώσω ἐπὶ σὲ πάντα τὰ βδελύγματά σου (Ⅲ) - Venit contritio super te, qui habitas in terra :/ venit tempus, prope est dies occisionis,/ et non gloriæ montium./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃7 באה הצפירה אליך יושב הארץ בא העת קרוב היום מהומה ולא הד הרים (Ⅴ)

Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.
- Maintenant je vais bientôt répandre ma fureur sur toi, Assouvir sur toi ma colère; Je te jugerai selon tes voies, Je te chargerai de toutes tes abominations. (Ⅱ) - οὐ φείσεται ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου ἐπὶ σέ οὐδὲ μὴ ἐλεήσω διότι τὴν ὁδόν σου ἐπὶ σὲ δώσω καὶ τὰ βδελύγματά σου ἐν μέσω̨ σου ἔσται καὶ ἐπιγνώση̨ διότι ἐγὼ κύριος (Ⅲ) - Nunc de propinquo effundam iram meam super te,/ et complebo furorem meum in te :/ et judicabo te juxta vias tuas,/ et imponam tibi omnia scelera tua,/ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃7 עתה מקרוב אשפוך חמתי עליך וכליתי אפי בך ושפטתיך כדרכיך ונתתי עליך את כל תועבותיך (Ⅴ)

Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.
- Voici le jour! voici, il vient! Le tour arrive! La verge fleurit! L'orgueil s'épanouit! (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ τὸ πέρας ἥκει ἰδοὺ ἡμέρα κυρίου εἰ καὶ ἡ ῥάβδος ἤνθηκεν ἡ ὕβρις ἐξανέστηκεν (Ⅲ) - Ecce dies, ecce venit :/ egressa est contritio,/ floruit virga, germinavit superbia,/ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃7 הנה היום הנה באה יצאה הצפרה צץ המטה פרח הזדון (Ⅴ)

Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their's: neither shall there be wailing for them.
- La violence s'élève, pour servir de verge à la méchanceté: Plus rien d'eux, de leur foule bruyante, de leur multitude! On ne se lamente pas sur eux! (Ⅱ) - καὶ συντρίψει στήριγμα ἀνόμου καὶ οὐ μετὰ θορύβου οὐδὲ μετὰ σπουδη̃ς (Ⅲ) - iniquitas surrexit in virga impietatis :/ non ex eis, et non ex populo,/ neque ex sonitu eorum :/ et non erit requies in eis./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃7 החמס קם למטה רשע לא מהם ולא מהמונם ולא מהמהם ולא נה בהם (Ⅴ)

The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
- Le temps vient, le jour approche! Que l'acheteur ne se réjouisse pas, Que le vendeur ne s'afflige pas! Car la colère éclate contre toute leur multitude. (Ⅱ) - ἥκει ὁ καιρός ἰδοὺ ἡ ἡμέρα ὁ κτώμενος μὴ χαιρέτω καὶ ὁ πωλω̃ν μὴ θρηνείτω (Ⅲ) - Venit tempus, appropinquavit dies :/ qui emit, non lætetur,/ et qui vendit, non lugeat :/ quia ira super omnem populum ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃7 בא העת הגיע היום הקונה אל ישמח והמוכר אל יתאבל כי חרון אל כל המונה (Ⅴ)

For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
- Non, le vendeur ne recouvrera pas ce qu'il a vendu, Fût-il encore parmi les vivants; Car la prophétie contre toute leur multitude ne sera pas révoquée, Et à cause de son iniquité nul ne conservera sa vie. (Ⅱ) - διότι ὁ κτώμενος πρὸς τὸν πωλου̃ντα οὐκέτι μὴ ἐπιστρέψη̨ καὶ ἄνθρωπος ἐν ὀφθαλμω̨̃ ζωη̃ς αὐτου̃ οὐ κρατήσει (Ⅲ) - Quia qui vendit, ad id quod vendidit non revertetur :/ et adhuc in viventibus vita eorum :/ visio enim ad omnem multitudinem ejus non regredietur,/ et vir in iniquitate vitæ suæ non confortabitur.]\ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃7 כי המוכר אל הממכר לא ישוב ועוד בחיים חיתם כי חזון אל כל המונה לא ישוב ואיש בעונו חיתו לא יתחזקו (Ⅴ)

They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
- On sonne de la trompette, tout est prêt, Mais personne ne marche au combat; Car ma fureur éclate contre toute leur multitude. (Ⅱ) - σαλπίσατε ἐν σάλπιγγι καὶ κρίνατε τὰ σύμπαντα (Ⅲ) - Canite tuba, præparentur omnes :/ et non est qui vadat ad prælium :/ ira enim mea super universum populum ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃7 תקעו בתקוע והכין הכל ואין הלך למלחמה כי חרוני אל כל המונה (Ⅴ)

15
The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.
- L'épée au dehors, la peste et la famine au dedans! Celui qui est aux champs mourra par l'épée, Celui qui est dans la ville sera dévoré par la famine et par la peste. (Ⅱ) - ὁ πόλεμος ἐν ῥομφαία̨ ἔξωθεν καὶ ὁ λιμὸς καὶ ὁ θάνατος ἔσωθεν ὁ ἐν τω̨̃ πεδίω̨ ἐν ῥομφαία̨ τελευτήσει τοὺς δὲ ἐν τη̨̃ πόλει λιμὸς καὶ θάνατος συντελέσει (Ⅲ) - Gladium foris, et pestis et fames intrinsecus :/ qui in agro est, gladio morietur,/ et qui in civitate, pestilentia et fame devorabuntur./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃7 החרב בחוץ והדבר והרעב מבית אשר בשדה בחרב ימות ואשר בעיר רעב ודבר יאכלנו (Ⅴ)

But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.
- Leurs fuyards s'échappent, Ils sont sur les montagnes, comme les colombes des vallées, Tous gémissant, Chacun sur son iniquité. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνασωθήσονται οἱ ἀνασω̨ζόμενοι ἐξ αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἔσονται ἐπὶ τω̃ν ὀρέων πάντας ἀποκτενω̃ ἕκαστον ἐν ται̃ς ἀδικίαις αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et salvabuntur qui fugerint ex eis :/ et erunt in montibus quasi columbæ convallium omnes trepidi,/ unusquisque in iniquitate sua./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃7 ופלטו פליטיהם והיו אל ההרים כיוני הגאיות כלם המות איש בעונו (Ⅴ)

All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.
- Toutes les mains sont affaiblies, Tous les genoux se fondent en eau. (Ⅱ) - πα̃σαι χει̃ρες ἐκλυθήσονται καὶ πάντες μηροὶ μολυνθήσονται ὑγρασία̨ (Ⅲ) - Omnes manus dissolventur,/ et omnia genua fluent aquis./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃7 כל הידים תרפינה וכל ברכים תלכנה מים (Ⅴ)

They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.
- Ils se ceignent de sacs, Et la terreur les enveloppe; Tous les visages sont confus, Toutes les têtes sont rasées. (Ⅱ) - καὶ περιζώσονται σάκκους καὶ καλύψει αὐτοὺς θάμβος καὶ ἐπὶ πα̃ν πρόσωπον αἰσχύνη ἐπ' αὐτούς καὶ ἐπὶ πα̃σαν κεφαλὴν φαλάκρωμα (Ⅲ) - Et accingent se ciliciis,/ et operiet eos formido :/ et in omni facie confusio,/ et in universis capitibus eorum calvitium./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃7 וחגרו שקים וכסתה אותם פלצות ואל כל פנים בושה ובכל ראשיהם קרחה (Ⅴ)

They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
- Ils jetteront leur argent dans les rues, Et leur or sera pour eux un objet d'horreur; Leur argent et leur or ne pourront les sauver, Au jour de la fureur de l'Éternel; Ils ne pourront ni rassasier leur âme, Ni remplir leurs entrailles; Car c'est ce qui les a fait tomber dans leur iniquité. (Ⅱ) - τὸ ἀργύριον αὐτω̃ν ῥιφήσεται ἐν ται̃ς πλατείαις καὶ τὸ χρυσίον αὐτω̃ν ὑπεροφθήσεται αἱ ψυχαὶ αὐτω̃ν οὐ μὴ ἐμπλησθω̃σιν καὶ αἱ κοιλίαι αὐτω̃ν οὐ μὴ πληρωθω̃σιν διότι βάσανος τω̃ν ἀδικιω̃ν αὐτω̃ν ἐγένετο (Ⅲ) - Argentum eorum foras projicietur,/ et aurum eorum in sterquilinium erit :/ argentum eorum et aurum eorum/ non valebit liberare eos in die furoris Domini :/ animam suam non saturabunt,/ et ventres eorum non implebuntur,/ quia scandalum iniquitatis eorum factum est./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃7 כספם בחוצות ישליכו וזהבם לנדה יהיה כספם וזהבם לא יוכל להצילם ביום עברת יהוה נפשם לא ישבעו ומעיהם לא ימלאו כי מכשול עונם היה (Ⅴ)

As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
- Ils étaient fiers de leur magnifique parure, Et ils en ont fabriqué les images de leurs abominations, de leurs idoles. C'est pourquoi je la rendrai pour eux un objet d'horreur; (Ⅱ) - ἐκλεκτὰ κόσμου εἰς ὑπερηφανίαν ἔθεντο αὐτὰ καὶ εἰκόνας τω̃ν βδελυγμάτων αὐτω̃ν ἐποίησαν ἐξ αὐτω̃ν ἕνεκεν τούτου δέδωκα αὐτὰ αὐτοι̃ς εἰς ἀκαθαρσίαν (Ⅲ) - Et ornamentum monilium suorum in superbiam posuerunt,/ et imagines abominationum suarum et simulacrorum fecerunt ex eo :/ propter hoc dedi eis illud in immunditiam./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃7 וצבי עדיו לגאון שמהו וצלמי תועבתם שקוציהם עשו בו על כן נתתיו להם לנדה (Ⅴ)

And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.
- Je la donnerai en pillage aux mains des étrangers, Et comme butin aux impies de la terre, Afin qu'ils la profanent. (Ⅱ) - καὶ παραδώσω αὐτὰ εἰς χει̃ρας ἀλλοτρίων του̃ διαρπάσαι αὐτὰ καὶ τοι̃ς λοιμοι̃ς τη̃ς γη̃ς εἰς σκυ̃λα καὶ βεβηλώσουσιν αὐτά (Ⅲ) - Et dabo illud in manus alienorum ad diripiendum,/ et impiis terræ in prædam,/ et contaminabunt illud./ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃7 ונתתיו ביד הזרים לבז ולרשעי הארץ לשלל *וחללה **וחללוהו (Ⅴ)

My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
- Je détournerai d'eux ma face, Et l'on souillera mon sanctuaire; Des furieux y pénétreront, et le profaneront. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀποστρέψω τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν καὶ μιανου̃σιν τὴν ἐπισκοπήν μου καὶ εἰσελεύσονται εἰς αὐτὰ ἀφυλάκτως καὶ βεβηλώσουσιν αὐτά (Ⅲ) - Et avertam faciem meam ab eis,/ et violabunt arcanum meum :/ et introibunt in illud emissarii,/ et contaminabunt illud./ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃7 והסבותי פני מהם וחללו את צפוני ובאו בה פריצים וחללוה פ (Ⅴ)

Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
- Prépare les chaînes! Car le pays est rempli de meurtres, La ville est pleine de violence. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ποιήσουσι φυρμόν διότι ἡ γη̃ πλήρης λαω̃ν καὶ ἡ πόλις πλήρης ἀνομίας (Ⅲ) - Fac conclusionem,/ quoniam terra plena est judicio sanguinum,/ et civitas plena iniquitate./ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃7 עשה הרתוק כי הארץ מלאה משפט דמים והעיר מלאה חמס (Ⅴ)

24
Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
- Je ferai venir les plus méchants des peuples, Pour qu'ils s'emparent de leurs maisons; Je mettrai fin à l'orgueil des puissants, Et leurs sanctuaires seront profanés. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀποστρέψω τὸ φρύαγμα τη̃ς ἰσχύος αὐτω̃ν καὶ μιανθήσεται τὰ ἅγια αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et adducam pessimos de gentibus,/ et possidebunt domos eorum :/ et quiescere faciam superbiam potentium,/ et possidebunt sanctuaria eorum./ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃7 והבאתי רעי גוים וירשו את בתיהם והשבתי גאון עזים ונחלו מקדשיהם (Ⅴ)

Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.
- La ruine vient! Ils cherchent le salut, et point de salut! (Ⅱ) - ἐξιλασμὸς ἥξει καὶ ζητήσει εἰρήνην καὶ οὐκ ἔσται (Ⅲ) - Angustia superveniente, requirent pacem,/ et non erit./ (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃7 קפדה בא ובקשו שלום ואין (Ⅴ)

26
Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
- Il arrive malheur sur malheur, Un bruit succède à un bruit; Ils demandent des visions aux prophètes; Les sacrificateurs ne connaissent plus la loi, Les anciens n'ont plus de conseils. (Ⅱ) - οὐαὶ ἐπὶ οὐαὶ ἔσται καὶ ἀγγελία ἐπ' ἀγγελίαν ἔσται καὶ ζητηθήσεται ὅρασις ἐκ προφήτου καὶ νόμος ἀπολει̃ται ἐξ ἱερέως καὶ βουλὴ ἐκ πρεσβυτέρων (Ⅲ) - Conturbatio super conturbationem veniet,/ et auditus super auditum :/ et quærent visionem de propheta,/ et lex peribit a sacerdote,/ et consilium a senioribus./ (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃7 הוה על הוה תבוא ושמעה אל שמועה תהיה ובקשו חזון מנביא ותורה תאבד מכהן ועצה מזקנים (Ⅴ)

The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
- Le roi se désole, le prince s'épouvante, Les mains du peuple du pays sont tremblantes. Je les traiterai selon leurs voies, Je les jugerai comme ils le méritent, Et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἄρχων ἐνδύσεται ἀφανισμόν καὶ αἱ χει̃ρες του̃ λαου̃ τη̃ς γη̃ς παραλυθήσονται κατὰ τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτω̃ν ποιήσω αὐτοι̃ς καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς κρίμασιν αὐτω̃ν ἐκδικήσω αὐτούς καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος (Ⅲ) - Rex lugebit, et princeps induetur mœrore,/ et manus populi terræ conturbabuntur :/ secundum viam eorum faciam eis,/ et secundum judicia eorum judicabo eos,/ et scient quia ego Dominus.] (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃7 המלך יתאבל ונשיא ילבש שממה וידי עם הארץ תבהלנה מדרכם אעשה אותם ובמשפטיהם אשפטם וידעו כי אני יהוה פ (Ⅴ)
