9. 1

In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

- La première année de Darius, fils d'Assuérus, de la race des Mèdes, lequel était devenu roi du royaume des Chaldéens, (Ⅱ)

- ἐν τω̨̃ πρώτω̨ ἔτει Δαρείου του̃ υἱου̃ Ασουηρου ἀπὸ του̃ σπέρματος τω̃ν Μήδων ὃς ἐβασίλευσεν ἐπὶ βασιλείαν Χαλδαίων (Ⅲ)

- In anno primo Darii filii Assueri de semine Medorum, qui imperavit super regnum Chaldæorum, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃9 בשנת אחת לדריוש בן אחשורוש מזרע מדי אשר המלך על מלכות כשדים ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 2

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

- la première année de son règne, moi, Daniel, je vis par les livres qu'il devait s'écouler soixante-dix ans pour les ruines de Jérusalem, d'après le nombre des années dont l'Éternel avait parlé à Jérémie, le prophète. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ἔτει ἑνὶ τη̃ς βασιλείας αὐτου̃ ἐγὼ Δανιηλ συνη̃κα ἐν ται̃ς βύβλοις τὸν ἀριθμὸν τω̃ν ἐτω̃ν ὃς ἐγενήθη λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ιερεμιαν τὸν προφήτην εἰς συμπλήρωσιν ἐρημώσεως Ιερουσαλημ ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- anno uno regni ejus, ego Daniel intellexi in libris numerum annorum, de quo factus est sermo Domini ad Jeremiam prophetam, ut complerentur desolationis Jerusalem septuaginta anni. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃9 בשנת אחת למלכו אני דניאל בינתי בספרים מספר השנים אשר היה דבר יהוה אל ירמיה הנביא למלאות לחרבות ירושלם שבעים שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 3

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

- Je tournai ma face vers le Seigneur Dieu, afin de recourir à la prière et aux supplications, en jeûnant et en prenant le sac et la cendre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔδωκα τὸ πρόσωπόν μου πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν του̃ ἐκζητη̃σαι προσευχὴν καὶ δεήσεις ἐν νηστείαις καὶ σάκκω̨ καὶ σποδω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et posui faciem meam ad Dominum Deum meum rogare et deprecari in jejuniis, sacco, et cinere.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃9 ואתנה את פני אל אדני האלהים לבקש תפלה ותחנונים בצום ושק ואפר ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 4

And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

- Je priai l'Éternel, mon Dieu, et je lui fis cette confession: Seigneur, Dieu grand et redoutable, toi qui gardes ton alliance et qui fais miséricorde à ceux qui t'aiment et qui observent tes commandements! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ προσηυξάμην πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν μου καὶ ἐξωμολογησάμην καὶ εἰ̃πα κύριε ὁ θεὸς ὁ μέγας καὶ θαυμαστὸς ὁ φυλάσσων τὴν διαθήκην σου καὶ τὸ ἔλεος τοι̃ς ἀγαπω̃σίν σε καὶ τοι̃ς φυλάσσουσιν τὰς ἐντολάς σου (Ⅲ)

- Et oravi Dominum Deum meum, et confessus sum, et dixi : Obsecro, Domine Deus magne et terribilis, custodiens pactum, et misericordiam diligentibus te, et custodientibus mandata tua : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃9 ואתפללה ליהוה אלהי ואתודה ואמרה אנא אדני האל הגדול והנורא שמר הברית והחסד לאהביו ולשמרי מצותיו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 5

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

- Nous avons péché, nous avons commis l'iniquité, nous avons été méchants et rebelles, nous nous sommes détournés de tes commandements et de tes ordonnances. (Ⅱ)

- ἡμάρτομεν ἠδικήσαμεν ἠνομήσαμεν καὶ ἀπέστημεν καὶ ἐξεκλίναμεν ἀπὸ τω̃ν ἐντολω̃ν σου καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν κριμάτων σου (Ⅲ)

- peccavimus, iniquitatem fecimus, impie egimus, et recessimus : et declinavimus a mandatis tuis ac judiciis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃9 חטאנו ועוינו *והרשענו **הרשענו ומרדנו וסור ממצותך וממשפטיך ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 6

Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

- Nous n'avons pas écouté tes serviteurs, les prophètes, qui ont parlé en ton nom à nos rois, à nos chefs, à nos pères, et à tout le peuple du pays. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσαμεν τω̃ν δούλων σου τω̃ν προφητω̃ν οἳ ἐλάλουν ἐν τω̨̃ ὀνόματί σου πρὸς τοὺς βασιλει̃ς ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἄρχοντας ἡμω̃ν καὶ πατέρας ἡμω̃ν καὶ πρὸς πάντα τὸν λαὸν τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Non obedivimus servis tuis prophetis, qui locuti sunt in nomine tuo regibus nostris, principibus nostris, patribus nostris, omnique populo terræ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃9 ולא שמענו אל עבדיך הנביאים אשר דברו בשמך אל מלכינו שרינו ואבתינו ואל כל עם הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 7

O LORD, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

- A toi, Seigneur, est la justice, et à nous la confusion de face, en ce jour, aux hommes de Juda, aux habitants de Jérusalem, et à tout Israël, à ceux qui sont près et à ceux qui sont loin, dans tous les pays où tu les as chassés à cause des infidélités dont ils se sont rendus coupables envers toi. (Ⅱ)

- σοί κύριε ἡ δικαιοσύνη καὶ ἡμι̃ν ἡ αἰσχύνη του̃ προσώπου ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη ἀνδρὶ Ιουδα καὶ τοι̃ς ἐνοικου̃σιν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ παντὶ Ισραηλ τοι̃ς ἐγγὺς καὶ τοι̃ς μακρὰν ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ οὑ̃ διέσπειρας αὐτοὺς ἐκει̃ ἐν ἀθεσία̨ αὐτω̃ν ἡ̨̃ ἠθέτησαν ἐν σοί (Ⅲ)

- Tibi, Domine, justitia : nobis autem confusio faciei, sicut est hodie viro Juda, et habitatoribus Jerusalem, et omni Israël, his qui prope sunt, et his qui procul in universis terris, ad quas ejecisti eos propter iniquitates eorum, in quibus peccaverunt in te. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃9 לך אדני הצדקה ולנו בשת הפנים כיום הזה לאיש יהודה וליושבי ירושלם ולכל ישראל הקרבים והרחקים בכל הארצות אשר הדחתם שם במעלם אשר מעלו בך ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 8

O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

- Seigneur, à nous la confusion de face, à nos rois, à nos chefs, et à nos pères, parce que nous avons péché contre toi. (Ⅱ)

- κύριε ἡμι̃ν ἡ αἰσχύνη του̃ προσώπου καὶ τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν ἡμω̃ν καὶ τοι̃ς ἄρχουσιν ἡμω̃ν καὶ τοι̃ς πατράσιν ἡμω̃ν οἵτινες ἡμάρτομέν σοι (Ⅲ)

- Domine, nobis confusio faciei, regibus nostris, principibus nostris, et patribus nostris, qui peccaverunt. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃9 יהוה לנו בשת הפנים למלכינו לשרינו ולאבתינו אשר חטאנו לך ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 9

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

- Auprès du Seigneur, notre Dieu, la miséricorde et le pardon, car nous avons été rebelles envers lui. (Ⅱ)

- τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θεω̨̃ ἡμω̃ν οἱ οἰκτιρμοὶ καὶ οἱ ἱλασμοί ὅτι ἀπέστημεν (Ⅲ)

- Tibi autem Domino Deo nostro misericordia et propitiatio, quia recessimus a te, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃9 לאדני אלהינו הרחמים והסלחות כי מרדנו בו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 10

Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

- Nous n'avons pas écouté la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, pour suivre ses lois qu'il avait mises devant nous par ses serviteurs, les prophètes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσαμεν τη̃ς φωνη̃ς κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν πορεύεσθαι ἐν τοι̃ς νόμοις αὐτου̃ οἱ̃ς ἔδωκεν κατὰ πρόσωπον ἡμω̃ν ἐν χερσὶν τω̃ν δούλων αὐτου̃ τω̃ν προφητω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- et non audivimus vocem Domini Dei nostri ut ambularemus in lege ejus, quam posuit nobis per servos suos prophetas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃9 ולא שמענו בקול יהוה אלהינו ללכת בתורתיו אשר נתן לפנינו ביד עבדיו הנביאים ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 11

Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

- Tout Israël a transgressé ta loi, et s'est détourné pour ne pas écouter ta voix. Alors se sont répandues sur nous les malédictions et les imprécations qui sont écrites dans la loi de Moïse, serviteur de Dieu, parce que nous avons péché contre Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ παρέβησαν τὸν νόμον σου καὶ ἐξέκλιναν του̃ μὴ ἀκου̃σαι τη̃ς φωνη̃ς σου καὶ ἐπη̃λθεν ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς ἡ κατάρα καὶ ὁ ὅρκος ὁ γεγραμμένος ἐν νόμω̨ Μωυσέως δούλου του̃ θεου̃ ὅτι ἡμάρτομεν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et omnis Israël prævaricati sunt legem tuam, et declinaverunt ne audirent vocem tuam : et stillavit super nos maledictio et detestatio quæ scripta est in libro Moysi servi Dei, quia peccavimus ei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃9 וכל ישראל עברו את תורתך וסור לבלתי שמוע בקלך ותתך עלינו האלה והשבעה אשר כתובה בתורת משה עבד האלהים כי חטאנו לו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 12

And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

- Il a accompli les paroles qu'il avait prononcées contre nous et contre nos chefs qui nous ont gouvernés, il a fait venir sur nous une grande calamité, et il n'en est jamais arrivé sous le ciel entier une semblable à celle qui est arrivée à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔστησεν τοὺς λόγους αὐτου̃ οὓς ἐλάλησεν ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κριτὰς ἡμω̃ν οἳ ἔκρινον ἡμα̃ς ἐπαγαγει̃ν ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς κακὰ μεγάλα οἱ̃α οὐ γέγονεν ὑποκάτω παντὸς του̃ οὐρανου̃ κατὰ τὰ γενόμενα ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ)

- Et statuit sermones suos, quos locutus est super nos et super principes nostros, qui judicaverunt nos, ut superinduceret in nos magnum malum, quale numquam fuit sub omni cælo, secundum quod factum est in Jerusalem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃9 ויקם את *דבריו **דברו אשר דבר עלינו ועל שפטינו אשר שפטונו להביא עלינו רעה גדלה אשר לא נעשתה תחת כל השמים כאשר נעשתה בירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 13

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

- Comme cela est écrit dans la loi de Moïse, toute cette calamité est venue sur nous; et nous n'avons pas imploré l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous ne nous sommes pas détournés de nos iniquités, nous n'avons pas été attentifs à ta vérité. (Ⅱ)

- καθὼς γέγραπται ἐν τω̨̃ νόμω̨ Μωυση̃ πάντα τὰ κακὰ ταυ̃τα ἠ̃λθεν ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς καὶ οὐκ ἐδεήθημεν του̃ προσώπου κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν ἀποστρέψαι ἀπὸ τω̃ν ἀδικιω̃ν ἡμω̃ν καὶ του̃ συνιέναι ἐν πάση̨ ἀληθεία̨ σου (Ⅲ)

- Sicut scriptum est in lege Moysi, omne malum hoc venit super nos : et non rogavimus faciem tuam, Domine Deus noster, ut reverteremur ab iniquitatibus nostris, et cogitaremus veritatem tuam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃9 כאשר כתוב בתורת משה את כל הרעה הזאת באה עלינו ולא חלינו את פני יהוה אלהינו לשוב מעוננו ולהשכיל באמתך ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 14

Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

- L'Éternel a veillé sur cette calamité, et l'a fait venir sur nous; car l'Éternel, notre Dieu, est juste dans toutes les choses qu'il a faites, mais nous n'avons pas écouté sa voix. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγρηγόρησεν κύριος καὶ ἐπήγαγεν αὐτὰ ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς ὅτι δίκαιος κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν ἐπὶ πα̃σαν τὴν ποίησιν αὐτου̃ ἣν ἐποίησεν καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσαμεν τη̃ς φωνη̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et vigilavit Dominus super malitiam, et adduxit eam super nos. Justus Dominus Deus noster in omnibus operibus suis, quæ fecit : non enim audivimus vocem ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃9 וישקד יהוה על הרעה ויביאה עלינו כי צדיק יהוה אלהינו על כל מעשיו אשר עשה ולא שמענו בקלו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 15

And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

- Et maintenant, Seigneur, notre Dieu, toi qui as fait sortir ton peuple du pays d'Égypte par ta main puissante, et qui t'es fait un nom comme il l'est aujourd'hui, nous avons péché, nous avons commis l'iniquité. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ νυ̃ν κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν ὃς ἐξήγαγες τὸν λαόν σου ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου ἐν χειρὶ κραταια̨̃ καὶ ἐποίησας σεαυτω̨̃ ὄνομα ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη ἡμάρτομεν ἠνομήσαμεν (Ⅲ)

- Et nunc Domine Deus noster, qui eduxisti populum tuum de terra Ægypti in manu forti, et fecisti tibi nomen secundum diem hanc : peccavimus, iniquitatem fecimus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃9 ועתה אדני אלהינו אשר הוצאת את עמך מארץ מצרים ביד חזקה ותעש לך שם כיום הזה חטאנו רשענו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 16

O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

- Seigneur, selon ta grande miséricorde, que ta colère et ta fureur se détournent de ta ville de Jérusalem, de ta montagne sainte; car, à cause de nos péchés et des iniquités de nos pères, Jérusalem et ton peuple sont en opprobre à tous ceux qui nous entourent. (Ⅱ)

- κύριε ἐν πάση̨ ἐλεημοσύνη̨ σου ἀποστραφήτω δὴ ὁ θυμός σου καὶ ἡ ὀργή σου ἀπὸ τη̃ς πόλεώς σου Ιερουσαλημ ὄρους ἁγίου σου ὅτι ἡμάρτομεν καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἀδικίαις ἡμω̃ν καὶ τω̃ν πατέρων ἡμω̃ν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ὁ λαός σου εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν ἐγένετο ἐν πα̃σιν τοι̃ς περικύκλω̨ ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Domine, in omnem justitiam tuam avertatur, obsecro, ira tua et furor tuus a civitate tua Jerusalem, et monte sancto tuo. Propter peccata enim nostra, et iniquitates patrum nostrorum, Jerusalem et populus tuus in opprobrium sunt omnibus per circuitum nostrum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃9 אדני ככל צדקתך ישב נא אפך וחמתך מעירך ירושלם הר קדשך כי בחטאינו ובעונות אבתינו ירושלם ועמך לחרפה לכל סביבתינו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 17

Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

- Maintenant donc, ô notre Dieu, écoute la prière et les supplications de ton serviteur, et, pour l'amour du Seigneur, fais briller ta face sur ton sanctuaire dévasté! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ νυ̃ν εἰσάκουσον κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν τη̃ς προσευχη̃ς του̃ δούλου σου καὶ τω̃ν δεήσεων αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπίφανον τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἐπὶ τὸ ἁγίασμά σου τὸ ἔρημον ἕνεκέν σου κύριε (Ⅲ)

- Nunc ergo exaudi, Deus noster, orationem servi tui, et preces ejus : et ostende faciem tuam super sanctuarium tuum, quod desertum est propter temetipsum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃9 ועתה שמע אלהינו אל תפלת עבדך ואל תחנוניו והאר פניך על מקדשך השמם למען אדני ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 18

O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

- Mon Dieu, prête l'oreille et écoute! ouvre les yeux et regarde nos ruines, regarde la ville sur laquelle ton nom est invoqué! Car ce n'est pas à cause de notre justice que nous te présentons nos supplications, c'est à cause de tes grandes compassions. (Ⅱ)

- κλι̃νον ὁ θεός μου τὸ οὐ̃ς σου καὶ ἄκουσον ἄνοιξον τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἰδὲ τὸν ἀφανισμὸν ἡμω̃ν καὶ τη̃ς πόλεώς σου ἐφ' ἡ̃ς ἐπικέκληται τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς ὅτι οὐκ ἐπὶ ται̃ς δικαιοσύναις ἡμω̃ν ἡμει̃ς ῥιπτου̃μεν τὸν οἰκτιρμὸν ἡμω̃ν ἐνώπιόν σου ἀλλ' ἐπὶ τοὺς οἰκτιρμούς σου τοὺς πολλούς (Ⅲ)

- Inclina, Deus meus, aurem tuam, et audi : aperi oculos tuos, et vide desolationem nostram, et civitatem super quam invocatum est nomen tuum : neque enim in justificationibus nostris prosternimus preces ante faciem tuam, sed in miserationibus tuis multis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃9 הטה אלהי אזנך ושמע *פקחה **פקח עיניך וראה שממתינו והעיר אשר נקרא שמך עליה כי לא על צדקתינו אנחנו מפילים תחנונינו לפניך כי על רחמיך הרבים ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 19

O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

- Seigneur, écoute! Seigneur, pardonne! Seigneur, sois attentif! agis et ne tarde pas, par amour pour toi, ô mon Dieu! Car ton nom est invoqué sur ta ville et sur ton peuple. (Ⅱ)

- κύριε εἰσάκουσον κύριε ἱλάσθητι κύριε πρόσχες καὶ ποίησον μὴ χρονίση̨ς ἕνεκέν σου ὁ θεός μου ὅτι τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπικέκληται ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν σου καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν σου (Ⅲ)

- Exaudi, Domine ; placare Domine : attende et fac : ne moreris propter temetipsum, Deus meus, quia nomen tuum invocatum est super civitatem et super populum tuum.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃9 אדני שמעה אדני סלחה אדני הקשיבה ועשה אל תאחר למענך אלהי כי שמך נקרא על עירך ועל עמך ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 20

And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

- Je parlais encore, je priais, je confessais mon péché et le péché de mon peuple d'Israël, et je présentais mes supplications à l'Éternel, mon Dieu, en faveur de la sainte montagne de mon Dieu; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔτι ἐμου̃ λαλου̃ντος καὶ προσευχομένου καὶ ἐξαγορεύοντος τὰς ἁμαρτίας μου καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας του̃ λαου̃ μου Ισραηλ καὶ ῥιπτου̃ντος τὸν ἔλεόν μου ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ μου περὶ του̃ ὄρους του̃ ἁγίου του̃ θεου̃ μου (Ⅲ)

- Cumque adhuc loquerer, et orarem, et confiterer peccata mea, et peccata populi mei Israël, et prosternerem preces meas in conspectu Dei mei, pro monte sancto Dei mei : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃9 ועוד אני מדבר ומתפלל ומתודה חטאתי וחטאת עמי ישראל ומפיל תחנתי לפני יהוה אלהי על הר קדש אלהי ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 21

Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

- je parlais encore dans ma prière, quand l'homme, Gabriel, que j'avais vu précédemment dans une vision, s'approcha de moi d'un vol rapide, au moment de l'offrande du soir. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔτι ἐμου̃ λαλου̃ντος ἐν τη̨̃ προσευχη̨̃ καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ ἀνὴρ Γαβριηλ ὃν εἰ̃δον ἐν τη̨̃ ὁράσει ἐν τη̨̃ ἀρχη̨̃ πετόμενος καὶ ἥψατό μου ὡσεὶ ὥραν θυσίας ἑσπερινη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- adhuc me loquente in oratione, ecce vir Gabriel, quem videram in visione a principio, cito volans tetigit me in tempore sacrificii vespertini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃9 ועוד אני מדבר בתפלה והאיש גבריאל אשר ראיתי בחזון בתחלה מעף ביעף נגע אלי כעת מנחת ערב ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 22

And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

- Il m'instruisit, et s'entretint avec moi. Il me dit: Daniel, je suis venu maintenant pour ouvrir ton intelligence. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ συνέτισέν με καὶ ἐλάλησεν μετ' ἐμου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δανιηλ νυ̃ν ἐξη̃λθον συμβιβάσαι σε σύνεσιν (Ⅲ)

- Et docuit me, et locutus est mihi, dixitque : Daniel, nunc egressus sum ut docerem te, et intelligeres. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃9 ויבן וידבר עמי ויאמר דניאל עתה יצאתי להשכילך בינה ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 23

At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

- Lorsque tu as commencé à prier, la parole est sortie, et je viens pour te l'annoncer; car tu es un bien-aimé. Sois attentif à la parole, et comprends la vision! (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ἀρχη̨̃ τη̃ς δεήσεώς σου ἐξη̃λθεν λόγος καὶ ἐγὼ ἠ̃λθον του̃ ἀναγγει̃λαί σοι ὅτι ἀνὴρ ἐπιθυμιω̃ν σὺ εἰ̃ καὶ ἐννοήθητι ἐν τω̨̃ ῥήματι καὶ σύνες ἐν τη̨̃ ὀπτασία̨ (Ⅲ)

- Ab exordio precum tuarum egressus est sermo : ego autem veni ut indicarem tibi, quia vir desideriorum es : tu ergo animadverte sermonem, et intellige visionem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃9 בתחלת תחנוניך יצא דבר ואני באתי להגיד כי חמודות אתה ובין בדבר והבן במראה ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 24

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

- Soixante-dix semaines ont été fixées sur ton peuple et sur ta ville sainte, pour faire cesser les transgressions et mettre fin aux péchés, pour expier l'iniquité et amener la justice éternelle, pour sceller la vision et le prophète, et pour oindre le Saint des saints. (Ⅱ)

- ἑβδομήκοντα ἑβδομάδες συνετμήθησαν ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν σου καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν τὴν ἁγίαν σου του̃ συντελεσθη̃ναι ἁμαρτίαν καὶ του̃ σφραγίσαι ἁμαρτίας καὶ ἀπαλει̃ψαι τὰς ἀνομίας καὶ του̃ ἐξιλάσασθαι ἀδικίας καὶ του̃ ἀγαγει̃ν δικαιοσύνην αἰώνιον καὶ του̃ σφραγίσαι ὅρασιν καὶ προφήτην καὶ του̃ χρι̃σαι ἅγιον ἁγίων (Ⅲ)

- Septuaginta hebdomades abbreviatæ sunt super populum tuum et super urbem sanctam tuam, ut consummetur prævaricatio, et finem accipiat peccatum, et deleatur iniquitas, et adducatur justitia sempiterna, et impleatur visio et prophetia, et ungatur Sanctus sanctorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃9 שבעים שבעים נחתך על עמך ועל עיר קדשך לכלא הפשע *ולחתם **ולהתם *חטאות **חטאת ולכפר עון ולהביא צדק עלמים ולחתם חזון ונביא ולמשח קדש קדשים ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 25

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

- Sache-le donc, et comprends! Depuis le moment où la parole a annoncé que Jérusalem sera rebâtie jusqu'à l'Oint, au Conducteur, il y a sept semaines et soixante-deux semaines, les places et les fossés seront rétablis, mais en des temps fâcheux. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ γνώση̨ καὶ συνήσεις ἀπὸ ἐξόδου λόγου του̃ ἀποκριθη̃ναι καὶ του̃ οἰκοδομη̃σαι Ιερουσαλημ ἕως χριστου̃ ἡγουμένου ἑβδομάδες ἑπτὰ καὶ ἑβδομάδες ἑξήκοντα δύο καὶ ἐπιστρέψει καὶ οἰκοδομηθήσεται πλατει̃α καὶ τει̃χος καὶ ἐκκενωθήσονται οἱ καιροί (Ⅲ)

- Scito ergo, et animadverte : ab exitu sermonis, ut iterum ædificetur Jerusalem, usque ad christum ducem, hebdomades septem, et hebdomades sexaginta duæ erunt : et rursum ædificabitur platea, et muri in angustia temporum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃9 ותדע ותשכל מן מצא דבר להשיב ולבנות ירושלם עד משיח נגיד שבעים שבעה ושבעים ששים ושנים תשוב ונבנתה רחוב וחרוץ ובצוק העתים ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 26

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

- Après les soixante-deux semaines, un Oint sera retranché, et il n'aura pas de successeur. Le peuple d'un chef qui viendra détruira la ville et le sanctuaire, et sa fin arrivera comme par une inondation; il est arrêté que les dévastations dureront jusqu'au terme de la guerre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ μετὰ τὰς ἑβδομάδας τὰς ἑξήκοντα δύο ἐξολεθρευθήσεται χρι̃σμα καὶ κρίμα οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ τὴν πόλιν καὶ τὸ ἅγιον διαφθερει̃ σὺν τω̨̃ ἡγουμένω̨ τω̨̃ ἐρχομένω̨ καὶ ἐκκοπήσονται ἐν κατακλυσμω̨̃ καὶ ἕως τέλους πολέμου συντετμημένου τάξει ἀφανισμοι̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Et post hebdomades sexaginta duas occidetur christus : et non erit ejus populus qui eum negaturus est. Et civitatem et sanctuarium dissipabit populus cum duce venturo : et finis ejus vastitas, et post finem belli statuta desolatio. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃9 ואחרי השבעים ששים ושנים יכרת משיח ואין לו והעיר והקדש ישחית עם נגיד הבא וקצו בשטף ועד קץ מלחמה נחרצת שממות ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

- Il fera une solide alliance avec plusieurs pour une semaine, et durant la moitié de la semaine il fera cesser le sacrifice et l'offrande; le dévastateur commettra les choses les plus abominables, jusqu'à ce que la ruine et ce qui a été résolu fondent sur le dévastateur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ δυναμώσει διαθήκην πολλοι̃ς ἑβδομὰς μία καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ἡμίσει τη̃ς ἑβδομάδος ἀρθήσεταί μου θυσία καὶ σπονδή καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ ἱερὸν βδέλυγμα τω̃ν ἐρημώσεων καὶ ἕως συντελείας καιρου̃ συντέλεια δοθήσεται ἐπὶ τὴν ἐρήμωσιν (Ⅲ)

- Confirmabit autem pactum multis hebdomada una : et in dimidio hebdomadis deficiet hostia et sacrificium : et erit in templo abominatio desolationis : et usque ad consummationem et finem perseverabit desolatio. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃9 והגביר ברית לרבים שבוע אחד וחצי השבוע ישבית זבח ומנחה ועל כנף שקוצים משמם ועד כלה ונחרצה תתך על שמם פ‬ (Ⅴ)
