Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
- Venez, retournons à l'Éternel! Car il a déchiré, mais il nous guérira; Il a frappé, mais il bandera nos plaies. (Ⅱ) - πορευθω̃μεν καὶ ἐπιστρέψωμεν πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν ἡμω̃ν ὅτι αὐτὸς ἥρπακεν καὶ ἰάσεται ἡμα̃ς πατάξει καὶ μοτώσει ἡμα̃ς (Ⅲ) - In tribulatione sua mane consurgent ad me :/ Venite, et revertamur ad Dominum,/ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃6 לכו ונשובה אל יהוה כי הוא טרף וירפאנו יך ויחבשנו (Ⅴ)

After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
- Il nous rendra la vie dans deux jours; Le troisième jour il nous relèvera, Et nous vivrons devant lui. (Ⅱ) - ὑγιάσει ἡμα̃ς μετὰ δύο ἡμέρας ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ τη̨̃ τρίτη̨ ἀναστησόμεθα καὶ ζησόμεθα ἐνώπιον αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - quia ipse cepit, et sanabit nos ;/ percutiet, et curabit nos./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃6 יחינו מימים ביום השלישי יקמנו ונחיה לפניו (Ⅴ)

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
- Connaissons, cherchons à connaître l'Éternel; Sa venue est aussi certaine que celle de l'aurore. Il viendra pour nous comme la pluie, Comme la pluie du printemps qui arrose la terre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ γνωσόμεθα διώξομεν του̃ γνω̃ναι τὸν κύριον ὡς ὄρθρον ἕτοιμον εὑρήσομεν αὐτόν καὶ ἥξει ὡς ὑετὸς ἡμι̃ν πρόιμος καὶ ὄψιμος τη̨̃ γη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Vivificabit nos post duos dies ;/ in die tertia suscitabit nos,/ et vivemus in conspectu ejus./ Sciemus, sequemurque ut cognoscamus Dominum :/ quasi diluculum præparatus est egressus ejus,/ et veniet quasi imber nobis temporaneus et serotinus terræ./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃6 ונדעה נרדפה לדעת את יהוה כשחר נכון מוצאו ויבוא כגשם לנו כמלקוש יורה ארץ (Ⅴ)

O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
- Que te ferai-je, Éphraïm? Que te ferai-je, Juda? Votre piété est comme la nuée du matin, Comme la rosée qui bientôt se dissipe. (Ⅱ) - τί σοι ποιήσω Εφραιμ τί σοι ποιήσω Ιουδα τὸ δὲ ἔλεος ὑμω̃ν ὡς νεφέλη πρωινὴ καὶ ὡς δρόσος ὀρθρινὴ πορευομένη (Ⅲ) - Quid faciam tibi, Ephraim ?/ quid faciam tibi, Juda ?/ misericordia vestra quasi nubes matutina,/ et quasi ros mane pertransiens./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃6 מה אעשה לך אפרים מה אעשה לך יהודה וחסדכם כענן בקר וכטל משכים הלך (Ⅴ)

Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
- C'est pourquoi je les frapperai par les prophètes, Je les tuerai par les paroles de ma bouche, Et mes jugements éclateront comme la lumière. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το ἀπεθέρισα τοὺς προφήτας ὑμω̃ν ἀπέκτεινα αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥήμασιν στόματός μου καὶ τὸ κρίμα μου ὡς φω̃ς ἐξελεύσεται (Ⅲ) - Propter hoc dolavi in prophetis ;/ occidi eos in verbis oris mei :/ et judicia tua quasi lux egredientur./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃6 על כן חצבתי בנביאים הרגתים באמרי פי ומשפטיך אור יצא (Ⅴ)

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
- Car j'aime la piété et non les sacrifices, Et la connaissance de Dieu plus que les holocaustes. (Ⅱ) - διότι ἔλεος θέλω καὶ οὐ θυσίαν καὶ ἐπίγνωσιν θεου̃ ἢ ὁλοκαυτώματα (Ⅲ) - Quia misericordiam volui, et non sacrificium ;/ et scientiam Dei plus quam holocausta./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃6 כי חסד חפצתי ולא זבח ודעת אלהים מעלות (Ⅴ)

But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
- Ils ont, comme le vulgaire, transgressé l'alliance; C'est alors qu'ils m'ont été infidèles. (Ⅱ) - αὐτοὶ δέ εἰσιν ὡς ἄνθρωπος παραβαίνων διαθήκην ἐκει̃ κατεφρόνησέν μου (Ⅲ) - Ipsi autem sicut Adam transgressi sunt pactum :/ ibi prævaricati sunt in me./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃6 והמה כאדם עברו ברית שם בגדו בי (Ⅴ)

Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
- Galaad est une ville de malfaiteurs, Elle porte des traces de sang. (Ⅱ) - Γαλααδ πόλις ἐργαζομένη μάταια ταράσσουσα ὕδωρ (Ⅲ) - Galaad civitas operantium idolum,/ supplantata sanguine./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃6 גלעד קרית פעלי און עקבה מדם (Ⅴ)

And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
- La troupe des sacrificateurs est comme une bande en embuscade, Commettant des assassinats sur le chemin de Sichem; Car ils se livrent au crime. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἡ ἰσχύς σου ἀνδρὸς πειρατου̃ ἔκρυψαν ἱερει̃ς ὁδὸν κυρίου ἐφόνευσαν Σικιμα ὅτι ἀνομίαν ἐποίησαν (Ⅲ) - Et quasi fauces virorum latronum,/ particeps sacerdotum, in via interficientium pergentes de Sichem :/ quia scelus operati sunt./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃6 וכחכי איש גדודים חבר כהנים דרך ירצחו שכמה כי זמה עשו (Ⅴ)

I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
- Dans la maison d'Israël j'ai vu des choses horribles: Là Éphraïm se prostitue, Israël se souille. (Ⅱ) - ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ Ισραηλ εἰ̃δον φρικώδη ἐκει̃ πορνείαν του̃ Εφραιμ ἐμιάνθη Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα (Ⅲ) - In domo Israël vidi horrendum :/ ibi fornicationes Ephraim,/ contaminatus est Israël./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃6 בבית ישראל ראיתי *שעריריה **שערוריה שם זנות לאפרים נטמא ישראל (Ⅴ)

Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
- A toi aussi, Juda, une moisson est préparée, Quand je ramènerai les captifs de mon peuple. (Ⅱ) - ἄρχου τρυγα̃ν σεαυτω̨̃ ἐν τω̨̃ ἐπιστρέφειν με τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν του̃ λαου̃ μου (Ⅲ) - Sed et Juda, pone messem tibi,/ cum convertero captivitatem populi mei.] (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃6 גם יהודה שת קציר לך בשובי שבות עמי פ (Ⅴ)
