2. 1

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: A cause de trois crimes de Moab, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu'il a brûlé, calciné les os du roi d'Édom. (Ⅱ)

- τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ ται̃ς τρισὶν ἀσεβείαις Μωαβ καὶ ἐπὶ ται̃ς τέσσαρσιν οὐκ ἀποστραφήσομαι αὐτόν ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν κατέκαυσαν τὰ ὀστα̃ βασιλέως τη̃ς Ιδουμαίας εἰς κονίαν (Ⅲ)

- Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Super tribus sceleribus Moab,/ et super quatuor non convertam eum,/ eo quod incenderit ossa regis Idumææ usque ad cinerem./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃2 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי מואב ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על שרפו עצמות מלך אדום לשיד ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 2

But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

- J'enverrai le feu dans Moab, Et il dévorera les palais de Kerijoth; Et Moab périra au milieu du tumulte, Au milieu des cris de guerre et du bruit de la trompette. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξαποστελω̃ πυ̃ρ ἐπὶ Μωαβ καὶ καταφάγεται θεμέλια τω̃ν πόλεων αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἀποθανει̃ται ἐν ἀδυναμία̨ Μωαβ μετὰ κραυγη̃ς καὶ μετὰ φωνη̃ς σάλπιγγος (Ⅲ)

- Et mittam ignem in Moab,/ et devorabit ædes Carioth :/ et morietur in sonitu Moab, in clangore tubæ./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃2 ושלחתי אש במואב ואכלה ארמנות הקריות ומת בשאון מואב בתרועה בקול שופר ‬ (Ⅴ)

And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.

- J'exterminerai de son sein le juge, Et je tuerai tous ses chefs avec lui, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσω κριτὴν ἐξ αὐτη̃ς καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἄρχοντας αὐτη̃ς ἀποκτενω̃ μετ' αὐτου̃ λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ)

- Et disperdam judicem de medio ejus,/ et omnes principes ejus interficiam cum eo,/ dicit Dominus.]\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃2 והכרתי שופט מקרבה וכל שריה אהרוג עמו אמר יהוה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 4

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:

- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: A cause de trois crimes de Juda, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu'ils ont méprisé la loi de l'Éternel Et qu'ils n'ont pas gardé ses ordonnances, Parce qu'ils ont été égarés par les idoles mensongères Après lesquelles leurs pères ont marché. (Ⅱ)

- τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ ται̃ς τρισὶν ἀσεβείαις υἱω̃ν Ιουδα καὶ ἐπὶ ται̃ς τέσσαρσιν οὐκ ἀποστραφήσομαι αὐτόν ἕνεκα του̃ ἀπώσασθαι αὐτοὺς τὸν νόμον κυρίου καὶ τὰ προστάγματα αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἐφυλάξαντο καὶ ἐπλάνησεν αὐτοὺς τὰ μάταια αὐτω̃ν ἃ ἐποίησαν οἱ̃ς ἐξηκολούθησαν οἱ πατέρες αὐτω̃ν ὀπίσω αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Super tribus sceleribus Juda,/ et super quatuor non convertam eum,/ eo quod abjecerit legem Domini/ et mandata ejus non custodierit :/ deceperant enim eos idola sua,/ post quæ abierant patres eorum./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃2 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי יהודה ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על מאסם את תורת יהוה וחקיו לא שמרו ויתעום כזביהם אשר הלכו אבותם אחריהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

- J'enverrai le feu dans Juda, Et il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξαποστελω̃ πυ̃ρ ἐπὶ Ιουδαν καὶ καταφάγεται θεμέλια Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ)

- Et mittam ignem in Juda,/ et devorabit ædes Jerusalem./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃2 ושלחתי אש ביהודה ואכלה ארמנות ירושלם פ‬ (Ⅴ)

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;

- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: A cause des trois crimes d'Israël, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu'ils ont vendu le juste pour de l'argent, Et le pauvre pour une paire de souliers. (Ⅱ)

- τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ ται̃ς τρισὶν ἀσεβείαις Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπὶ ται̃ς τέσσαρσιν οὐκ ἀποστραφήσομαι αὐτόν ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἀπέδοντο ἀργυρίου δίκαιον καὶ πένητα ἕνεκεν ὑποδημάτων (Ⅲ)

- Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Super tribus sceleribus Israël,/ et super quatuor non convertam eum,/ pro eo quod vendiderit pro argento justum,/ et pauperem pro calceamentis./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃2 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי ישראל ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על מכרם בכסף צדיק ואביון בעבור נעלים ‬ (Ⅴ)

That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

- Ils aspirent à voir la poussière de la terre sur la tête des misérables, Et ils violent le droit des malheureux. Le fils et le père vont vers la même fille, Afin de profaner mon saint nom. (Ⅱ)

- τὰ πατου̃ντα ἐπὶ τὸν χου̃ν τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ ἐκονδύλιζον εἰς κεφαλὰς πτωχω̃ν καὶ ὁδὸν ταπεινω̃ν ἐξέκλιναν καὶ υἱὸς καὶ πατὴρ αὐτου̃ εἰσεπορεύοντο πρὸς τὴν αὐτὴν παιδίσκην ὅπως βεβηλώσωσιν τὸ ὄνομα του̃ θεου̃ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Qui conterunt super pulverem terræ capita pauperum,/ et viam humilium declinant :/ et filius ac pater ejus ierunt ad puellam,/ ut violarent nomen sanctum meum./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃2 השאפים על עפר ארץ בראש דלים ודרך ענוים יטו ואיש ואביו ילכו אל הנערה למען חלל את שם קדשי ‬ (Ⅴ)

And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

- Ils s'étendent près de chaque autel sur des vêtements pris en gage, Et ils boivent dans la maison de leurs dieux le vin de ceux qu'ils condamnent. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτω̃ν δεσμεύοντες σχοινίοις παραπετάσματα ἐποίουν ἐχόμενα του̃ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ οἰ̃νον ἐκ συκοφαντιω̃ν ἔπινον ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ του̃ θεου̃ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Et super vestimentis pignoratis accubuerunt juxta omne altare,/ et vinum damnatorum bibebant in domo Dei sui./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃2 ועל בגדים חבלים יטו אצל כל מזבח ויין ענושים ישתו בית אלהיהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

- Et pourtant j'ai détruit devant eux les Amoréens, Dont la hauteur égalait celle des cèdres, Et la force celle des chênes; J'ai détruit leurs fruits en haut, Et leurs racines en bas. (Ⅱ)

- ἐγὼ δὲ ἐξη̃ρα τὸν Αμορραι̃ον ἐκ προσώπου αὐτω̃ν οὑ̃ ἠ̃ν καθὼς ὕψος κέδρου τὸ ὕψος αὐτου̃ καὶ ἰσχυρὸς ἠ̃ν ὡς δρυ̃ς καὶ ἐξη̃ρα τὸν καρπὸν αὐτου̃ ἐπάνωθεν καὶ τὰς ῥίζας αὐτου̃ ὑποκάτωθεν (Ⅲ)

- Ego autem exterminavi Amorrhæum a facie eorum,/ cujus altitudo, cedrorum altitudo ejus,/ et fortis ipse quasi quercus ;/ et contrivi fructum ejus desuper,/ et radices ejus subter./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃2 ואנכי השמדתי את האמרי מפניהם אשר כגבה ארזים גבהו וחסן הוא כאלונים ואשמיד פריו ממעל ושרשיו מתחת ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 10

Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

- Et pourtant je vous ai fait monter du pays d'Égypte, Et je vous ai conduits quarante ans dans le désert, Pour vous mettre en possession du pays des Amoréens. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγὼ ἀνήγαγον ὑμα̃ς ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου καὶ περιήγαγον ὑμα̃ς ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη του̃ κατακληρονομη̃σαι τὴν γη̃ν τω̃ν Αμορραίων (Ⅲ)

- Ego sum qui ascendere vos feci de terra Ægypti,/ et duxi vos in deserto quadraginta annis,/ ut possideretis terram Amorrhæi./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃2 ואנכי העליתי אתכם מארץ מצרים ואולך אתכם במדבר ארבעים שנה לרשת את ארץ האמרי ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 11

And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.

- J'ai suscité parmi vos fils des prophètes, Et parmi vos jeunes hommes des nazaréens. N'en est-il pas ainsi, enfants d'Israël? dit l'Éternel... (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβον ἐκ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν ὑμω̃ν εἰς προφήτας καὶ ἐκ τω̃ν νεανίσκων ὑμω̃ν εἰς ἁγιασμόν μὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ταυ̃τα υἱοὶ Ισραηλ λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ)

- Et suscitavi de filiis vestris in prophetas,/ et de juvenibus vestris nazaræos./ Numquid non ita est, filii Israël ? dicit Dominus./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃2 ואקים מבניכם לנביאים ומבחוריכם לנזרים האף אין זאת בני ישראל נאם יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 12

But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

- Et vous avez fait boire du vin aux nazaréens! Et aux prophètes vous avez donné cet ordre: Ne prophétisez pas! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐποτίζετε τοὺς ἡγιασμένους οἰ̃νον καὶ τοι̃ς προφήταις ἐνετέλλεσθε λέγοντες οὐ μὴ προφητεύσητε (Ⅲ)

- Et propinabitis nazaræis vinum,/ et prophetis mandabitis, dicentes :/ Ne prophetetis./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃2 ותשקו את הנזרים יין ועל הנביאים צויתם לאמר לא תנבאו ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 13

Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.

- Voici, je vous écraserai, Comme foule la terre un chariot chargé de gerbes. (Ⅱ)

- διὰ του̃το ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κυλίω ὑποκάτω ὑμω̃ν ὃν τρόπον κυλίεται ἡ ἅμαξα ἡ γέμουσα καλάμης (Ⅲ)

- Ecce ego stridebo subter vos,/ sicut stridet plaustrum onustum fœno./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃2 הנה אנכי מעיק תחתיכם כאשר תעיק העגלה המלאה לה עמיר ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 14

Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

- Celui qui est agile ne pourra fuir, Celui qui a de la force ne pourra s'en servir, Et l'homme vaillant ne sauvera pas sa vie; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπολει̃ται φυγὴ ἐκ δρομέως καὶ ὁ κραταιὸς οὐ μὴ κρατήση̨ τη̃ς ἰσχύος αὐτου̃ καὶ ὁ μαχητὴς οὐ μὴ σώση̨ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et peribit fuga a veloce,/ et fortis non obtinebit virtutem suam,/ et robustus non salvabit animam suam :/ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃2 ואבד מנוס מקל וחזק לא יאמץ כחו וגבור לא ימלט נפשו ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 15

Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.

- Celui qui manie l'arc ne résistera pas, Celui qui a les pieds légers n'échappera pas, Et le cavalier ne sauvera pas sa vie; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὁ τοξότης οὐ μὴ ὑποστη̨̃ καὶ ὁ ὀξὺς τοι̃ς ποσὶν αὐτου̃ οὐ μὴ διασωθη̨̃ οὐδὲ ὁ ἱππεὺς οὐ μὴ σώση̨ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- et tenens arcum non stabit,/ et velox pedibus suis non salvabitur,/ et ascensor equi non salvabit animam suam :/ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃2 ותפש הקשת לא יעמד וקל ברגליו לא ימלט ורכב הסוס לא ימלט נפשו ‬ (Ⅴ)

And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.

- Le plus courageux des guerriers S'enfuira nu dans ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εὑρήσει τὴν καρδίαν αὐτου̃ ἐν δυναστείαις ὁ γυμνὸς διώξεται ἐν ἐκείνη̨ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ)

- et robustus corde inter fortes nudus fugiet in illa die,/ dicit Dominus.] (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃2 ואמיץ לבו בגבורים ערום ינוס ביום ההוא נאם יהוה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
