2. 1  
Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
- Jonas, dans le ventre du poisson, pria l'Éternel, son Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ προσηύξατο Ιωνας πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτου̃ ἐκ τη̃ς κοιλίας του̃ κήτους (Ⅲ)
- Et oravit Jonas ad Dominum Deum suum de ventre piscis, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃2   ויתפלל יונה אל יהוה אלהיו ממעי הדגה ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 2  
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
- Il dit: Dans ma détresse, j'ai invoqué l'Éternel, Et il m'a exaucé; Du sein du séjour des morts j'ai crié, Et tu as entendu ma voix. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐβόησα ἐν θλίψει μου πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν μου καὶ εἰσήκουσέν μου ἐκ κοιλίας ἅ̨δου κραυγη̃ς μου ἤκουσας φωνη̃ς μου (Ⅲ)
- et dixit : [Clamavi de tribulatione mea ad Dominum,/ et exaudivit me ;/ de ventre inferi clamavi,/ et exaudisti vocem meam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃2   ויאמר קראתי מצרה לי אל יהוה ויענני מבטן שאול שועתי שמעת קולי ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 3  
For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
- Tu m'as jeté dans l'abîme, dans le coeur de la mer, Et les courants d'eau m'ont environné; Toutes tes vagues et tous tes flots ont passé sur moi. (Ⅱ)
- ἀπέρριψάς με εἰς βάθη καρδίας θαλάσσης καὶ ποταμοί με ἐκύκλωσαν πάντες οἱ μετεωρισμοί σου καὶ τὰ κύματά σου ἐπ' ἐμὲ διη̃λθον (Ⅲ)
- Et projecisti me in profundum in corde maris,/ et flumen circumdedit me :/ omnes gurgites tui, et fluctus tui super me transierunt./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃2   ותשליכני מצולה בלבב ימים ונהר יסבבני כל משבריך וגליך עלי עברו ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 4  
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
- Je disais: Je suis chassé loin de ton regard! Mais je verrai encore ton saint temple. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγὼ εἰ̃πα ἀπω̃σμαι ἐξ ὀφθαλμω̃ν σου ἀ̃ρα προσθήσω του̃ ἐπιβλέψαι πρὸς τὸν ναὸν τὸν ἅγιόν σου (Ⅲ)
- Et ego dixi :/ Abjectus sum a conspectu oculorum tuorum ;/ verumtamen rursus videbo templum sanctum tuum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃2   ואני אמרתי נגרשתי מנגד עיניך אך אוסיף להביט אל היכל קדשך ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 5  
The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
- Les eaux m'ont couvert jusqu'à m'ôter la vie, L'abîme m'a enveloppé, Les roseaux ont entouré ma tête. (Ⅱ)
- περιεχύθη ὕδωρ μοι ἕως ψυχη̃ς ἄβυσσος ἐκύκλωσέν με ἐσχάτη ἔδυ ἡ κεφαλή μου εἰς σχισμὰς ὀρέων (Ⅲ)
- Circumdederunt me aquæ usque ad animam :/ abyssus vallavit me,/ pelagus operuit caput meum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃2   אפפוני מים עד נפש תהום יסבבני סוף חבוש לראשי ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 6  
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
- Je suis descendu jusqu'aux racines des montagnes, Les barres de la terre m'enfermaient pour toujours; Mais tu m'as fait remonter vivant de la fosse, Éternel, mon Dieu! (Ⅱ)
- κατέβην εἰς γη̃ν ἡ̃ς οἱ μοχλοὶ αὐτη̃ς κάτοχοι αἰώνιοι καὶ ἀναβήτω φθορὰ ζωη̃ς μου κύριε ὁ θεός μου (Ⅲ)
- Ad extrema montium descendi ;/ terræ vectes concluserunt me in æternum :/ et sublevabis de corruptione vitam meam, Domine Deus meus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃2   לקצבי הרים ירדתי הארץ ברחיה בעדי לעולם ותעל משחת חיי יהוה אלהי ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 7  
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
- Quand mon âme était abattue au dedans de moi, Je me suis souvenu de l'Éternel, Et ma prière est parvenue jusqu'à toi, Dans ton saint temple. (Ⅱ)
- ἐν τω̨̃ ἐκλείπειν ἀπ' ἐμου̃ τὴν ψυχήν μου του̃ κυρίου ἐμνήσθην καὶ ἔλθοι πρὸς σὲ ἡ προσευχή μου εἰς ναὸν ἅγιόν σου (Ⅲ)
- Cum angustiaretur in me anima mea,/ Domini recordatus sum :/ ut veniat ad te oratio mea,/ ad templum sanctum tuum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃2   בהתעטף עלי נפשי את יהוה זכרתי ותבוא אליך תפלתי אל היכל קדשך ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 8  
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
- Ceux qui s'attachent à de vaines idoles Éloignent d'eux la miséricorde. (Ⅱ)
- φυλασσόμενοι μάταια καὶ ψευδη̃ ἔλεος αὐτω̃ν ἐγκατέλιπον (Ⅲ)
- Qui custodiunt vanitates frustra,/ misericordiam suam derelinquunt./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃2   משמרים הבלי שוא חסדם יעזבו ‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 9  
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
- Pour moi, je t'offrirai des sacrifices avec un cri d'actions de grâces, J'accomplirai les voeux que j'ai faits: Le salut vient de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- ἐγὼ δὲ μετὰ φωνη̃ς αἰνέσεως καὶ ἐξομολογήσεως θύσω σοι ὅσα ηὐξάμην ἀποδώσω σοι σωτηρίου τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ (Ⅲ)
- Ego autem in voce laudis immolabo tibi :/ quæcumque vovi, reddam pro salute Domino.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃2   ואני בקול תודה אזבחה לך אשר נדרתי אשלמה ישועתה ליהוה ס‬ (Ⅴ)
2. 10  
And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
- L'Éternel parla au poisson, et le poisson vomit Jonas sur la terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ προσετάγη τω̨̃ κήτει καὶ ἐξέβαλεν τὸν Ιωναν ἐπὶ τὴν ξηράν (Ⅲ)
- Et dixit Dominus pisci, et evomuit Jonam in aridam. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃2   ויאמר יהוה לדג ויקא את יונה אל היבשה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
