καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ιωναν τὸν του̃ Αμαθι λέγων
- La parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jonas, fils d'Amitthaï, en ces mots: (Ⅱ) - Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, (Ⅲ) - Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jonam, filium Amathi, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃1 ויהי דבר יהוה אל יונה בן אמתי לאמר (Ⅴ)

ἀνάστηθι καὶ πορεύθητι εἰς Νινευη τὴν πόλιν τὴν μεγάλην καὶ κήρυξον ἐν αὐτη̨̃ ὅτι ἀνέβη ἡ κραυγὴ τη̃ς κακίας αὐτη̃ς πρός με
- Lève-toi, va à Ninive, la grande ville, et crie contre elle! car sa méchanceté est montée jusqu'à moi. (Ⅱ) - Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. (Ⅲ) - Surge, et vade in Niniven, civitatem grandem, et prædica in ea, quia ascendit malitia ejus coram me. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃1 קום לך אל נינוה העיר הגדולה וקרא עליה כי עלתה רעתם לפני (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἀνέστη Ιωνας του̃ φυγει̃ν εἰς Θαρσις ἐκ προσώπου κυρίου καὶ κατέβη εἰς Ιοππην καὶ εὑ̃ρεν πλοι̃ον βαδίζον εἰς Θαρσις καὶ ἔδωκεν τὸ ναυ̃λον αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐνέβη εἰς αὐτὸ του̃ πλευ̃σαι μετ' αὐτω̃ν εἰς Θαρσις ἐκ προσώπου κυρίου
- Et Jonas se leva pour s'enfuir à Tarsis, loin de la face de l'Éternel. Il descendit à Japho, et il trouva un navire qui allait à Tarsis; il paya le prix du transport, et s'embarqua pour aller avec les passagers à Tarsis, loin de la face de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. (Ⅲ) - Et surrexit Jonas, ut fugeret in Tharsis a facie Domini, et descendit in Joppen : et invenit navem euntem in Tharsis, et dedit naulum ejus, et descendit in eam ut iret cum eis in Tharsis a facie Domini. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃1 ויקם יונה לברח תרשישה מלפני יהוה וירד יפו וימצא אניה[U] באה תרשיש ויתן שכרה וירד בה לבוא עמהם תרשישה מלפני יהוה (Ⅴ)

καὶ κύριος ἐξήγειρεν πνευ̃μα εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ ἐγένετο κλύδων μέγας ἐν τη̨̃ θαλάσση̨ καὶ τὸ πλοι̃ον ἐκινδύνευεν συντριβη̃ναι
- Mais l'Éternel fit souffler sur la mer un vent impétueux, et il s'éleva sur la mer une grande tempête. Le navire menaçait de faire naufrage. (Ⅱ) - But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. (Ⅲ) - Dominus autem misit ventum magnum in mare : et facta est tempestas magna in mari, et navis periclitabatur conteri. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃1 ויהוה הטיל רוח גדולה אל הים ויהי סער גדול בים והאניה חשבה להשבר (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν οἱ ναυτικοὶ καὶ ἀνεβόων ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν θεὸν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐκβολὴν ἐποιήσαντο τω̃ν σκευω̃ν τω̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ πλοίω̨ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν του̃ κουφισθη̃ναι ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν Ιωνας δὲ κατέβη εἰς τὴν κοίλην του̃ πλοίου καὶ ἐκάθευδεν καὶ ἔρρεγχεν
- Les mariniers eurent peur, ils implorèrent chacun leur dieu, et ils jetèrent dans la mer les objets qui étaient sur le navire, afin de le rendre plus léger. Jonas descendit au fond du navire, se coucha, et s'endormit profondément. (Ⅱ) - Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. (Ⅲ) - Et timuerunt nautæ, et clamaverunt viri ad deum suum, et miserunt vasa quæ erant in navi, in mare, ut alleviaretur ab eis ; et Jonas descendit ad interiora navis, et dormiebat sopore gravi. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃1 וייראו המלחים ויזעקו איש אל אלהיו ויטלו את הכלים אשר באניה אל הים להקל מעליהם ויונה ירד אל ירכתי הספינה וישכב וירדם (Ⅴ)

καὶ προση̃λθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ πρωρεὺς καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ τί σὺ ῥέγχεις ἀνάστα καὶ ἐπικαλου̃ τὸν θεόν σου ὅπως διασώση̨ ὁ θεὸς ἡμα̃ς καὶ μὴ ἀπολώμεθα
- Le pilote s'approcha de lui, et lui dit: Pourquoi dors-tu? Lève-toi, invoque ton Dieu! peut-être voudra-t-il penser à nous, et nous ne périrons pas. (Ⅱ) - So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not. (Ⅲ) - Et accessit ad eum gubernator, et dixit ei : Quid tu sopore deprimeris ? surge, invoca Deum tuum, si forte recogitet Deus de nobis, et non pereamus. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃1 ויקרב אליו רב החבל ויאמר לו מה לך נרדם קום קרא אל אלהיך אולי יתעשת האלהים לנו ולא נאבד (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτου̃ δευ̃τε βάλωμεν κλήρους καὶ ἐπιγνω̃μεν τίνος ἕνεκεν ἡ κακία αὕτη ἐστὶν ἐν ἡμι̃ν καὶ ἔβαλον κλήρους καὶ ἔπεσεν ὁ κλη̃ρος ἐπὶ Ιωναν
- Et il se rendirent l'un à l'autre: Venez, et tirons au sort, pour savoir qui nous attire ce malheur. Ils tirèrent au sort, et le sort tomba sur Jonas. (Ⅱ) - And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah. (Ⅲ) - Et dixit vir ad collegam suum : Venite et mittamus sortes, et sciamus quare hoc malum sit nobis. Et miserunt sortes, et cecidit sors super Jonam. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃1 ויאמרו איש אל רעהו לכו ונפילה גורלות ונדעה בשלמי הרעה הזאת לנו ויפלו גורלות ויפל הגורל על יונה (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πον πρὸς αὐτόν ἀπάγγειλον ἡμι̃ν τίνος ἕνεκεν ἡ κακία αὕτη ἐστὶν ἐν ἡμι̃ν τίς σου ἡ ἐργασία ἐστίν καὶ πόθεν ἔρχη̨ καὶ ἐκ ποίας χώρας καὶ ἐκ ποίου λαου̃ εἰ̃ σύ
- Alors ils lui dirent: Dis-nous qui nous attire ce malheur. Quelles sont tes affaires, et d'où viens-tu? Quel est ton pays, et de quel peuple es-tu? (Ⅱ) - Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou? (Ⅲ) - Et dixerunt ad eum : Indica nobis cujus causa malum istud sit nobis : quod est opus tuum ? quæ terra tua, et quo vadis ? vel ex quo populo es tu ? (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃1 ויאמרו אליו הגידה נא לנו באשר למי הרעה הזאת לנו מה מלאכתך ומאין תבוא מה ארצך ואי מזה עם אתה (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτούς δου̃λος κυρίου ἐγώ εἰμι καὶ τὸν κύριον θεὸν του̃ οὐρανου̃ ἐγὼ σέβομαι ὃς ἐποίησεν τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ τὴν ξηράν
- Il leur répondit: Je suis Hébreu, et je crains l'Éternel, le Dieu des cieux, qui a fait la mer et la terre. (Ⅱ) - And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land. (Ⅲ) - Et dixit ad eos : Hebræus ego sum, et Dominum Deum cæli ego timeo, qui fecit mare et aridam. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃1 ויאמר אליהם עברי אנכי ואת יהוה אלהי השמים אני ירא אשר עשה את הים ואת היבשה (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν οἱ ἄνδρες φόβον μέγαν καὶ εἰ̃παν πρὸς αὐτόν τί του̃το ἐποίησας διότι ἔγνωσαν οἱ ἄνδρες ὅτι ἐκ προσώπου κυρίου ἠ̃ν φεύγων ὅτι ἀπήγγειλεν αὐτοι̃ς
- Ces hommes eurent une grande frayeur, et ils lui dirent: Pourquoi as-tu fait cela? Car ces hommes savaient qu'il fuyait loin de la face de l'Éternel, parce qu'il le leur avait déclaré. (Ⅱ) - Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. (Ⅲ) - Et timuerunt viri timore magno, et dixerunt ad eum : Quid hoc fecisti ? cognoverunt enim viri quod a facie Domini fugeret, quia indicaverat eis. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃1 וייראו האנשים יראה גדולה ויאמרו אליו מה זאת עשית כי ידעו האנשים כי מלפני יהוה הוא ברח כי הגיד להם (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃παν πρὸς αὐτόν τί σοι ποιήσωμεν καὶ κοπάσει ἡ θάλασσα ἀφ' ἡμω̃ν ὅτι ἡ θάλασσα ἐπορεύετο καὶ ἐξήγειρεν μα̃λλον κλύδωνα
- Ils lui dirent: Que te ferons-nous, pour que la mer se calme envers nous? Car la mer était de plus en plus orageuse. (Ⅱ) - Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous. (Ⅲ) - Et dixerunt ad eum : Quid faciemus tibi, et cessabit mare a nobis ? quia mare ibat, et intumescebat. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃1 ויאמרו אליו מה נעשה לך וישתק הים מעלינו כי הים הולך וסער (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ιωνας πρὸς αὐτούς ἄρατέ με καὶ ἐμβάλετέ με εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ κοπάσει ἡ θάλασσα ἀφ' ὑμω̃ν διότι ἔγνωκα ἐγὼ ὅτι δι' ἐμὲ ὁ κλύδων ὁ μέγας οὑ̃τος ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς ἐστιν
- Il leur répondit: Prenez-moi, et jetez-moi dans la mer, et la mer se calmera envers vous; car je sais que c'est moi qui attire sur vous cette grande tempête. (Ⅱ) - And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you. (Ⅲ) - Et dixit ad eos : Tollite me, et mittite in mare, et cessabit mare a vobis : scio enim ego quoniam propter me tempestas hæc grandis venit super vos. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃1 ויאמר אליהם שאוני והטילני אל הים וישתק הים מעליכם כי יודע אני כי בשלי הסער הגדול הזה עליכם (Ⅴ)

καὶ παρεβιάζοντο οἱ ἄνδρες του̃ ἐπιστρέψαι πρὸς τὴν γη̃ν καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο ὅτι ἡ θάλασσα ἐπορεύετο καὶ ἐξηγείρετο μα̃λλον ἐπ' αὐτούς
- Ces hommes ramaient pour gagner la terre, mais ils ne le purent, parce que la mer s'agitait toujours plus contre eux. (Ⅱ) - Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them. (Ⅲ) - Et remigabant viri ut reverterentur ad aridam, et non valebant, quia mare ibat, et intumescebat super eos. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃1 ויחתרו האנשים להשיב אל היבשה ולא יכלו כי הים הולך וסער עליהם (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἀνεβόησαν πρὸς κύριον καὶ εἰ̃παν μηδαμω̃ς κύριε μὴ ἀπολώμεθα ἕνεκεν τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς του̃ ἀνθρώπου τούτου καὶ μὴ δω̨̃ς ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς αἱ̃μα δίκαιον ὅτι σύ κύριε ὃν τρόπον ἐβούλου πεποίηκας
- Alors ils invoquèrent l'Éternel, et dirent: O Éternel, ne nous fais pas périr à cause de la vie de cet homme, et ne nous charge pas du sang innocent! Car toi, Éternel, tu fais ce que tu veux. (Ⅱ) - Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee. (Ⅲ) - Et clamaverunt ad Dominum, et dixerunt : Quæsumus, Domine, ne pereamus in anima viri istius, et ne des super nos sanguinem innocentem : quia tu, Domine, sicut voluisti, fecisti. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃1 ויקראו אל יהוה ויאמרו אנה יהוה אל נא נאבדה בנפש האיש הזה ואל תתן עלינו דם נקיא כי אתה יהוה כאשר חפצת עשית (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἔλαβον τὸν Ιωναν καὶ ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ ἔστη ἡ θάλασσα ἐκ του̃ σάλου αὐτη̃ς
- Puis ils prirent Jonas, et le jetèrent dans la mer. Et la fureur de la mer s'apaisa. (Ⅱ) - So they look up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging. (Ⅲ) - Et tulerunt Jonam, et miserunt in mare : et stetit mare a fervore suo. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃1 וישאו את יונה ויטלהו אל הים ויעמד הים מזעפו (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν οἱ ἄνδρες φόβω̨ μεγάλω̨ τὸν κύριον καὶ ἔθυσαν θυσίαν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ εὔξαντο εὐχάς
- Ces hommes furent saisis d'une grande crainte de l'Éternel, et ils offrirent un sacrifice à l'Éternel, et firent des voeux. (Ⅱ) - Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows. (Ⅲ) - Et timuerunt viri timore magno Dominum : et immolaverunt hostias Domino, et voverunt vota. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃1 וייראו האנשים יראה גדולה את יהוה ויזבחו זבח ליהוה וידרו נדרים (Ⅴ)

καὶ προσέταξεν κύριος κήτει μεγάλω̨ καταπιει̃ν τὸν Ιωναν καὶ ἠ̃ν Ιωνας ἐν τη̨̃ κοιλία̨ του̃ κήτους τρει̃ς ἡμέρας καὶ τρει̃ς νύκτας
- L'Éternel fit venir un grand poisson pour engloutir Jonas, et Jonas fut dans le ventre du poisson trois jours et trois nuits. (Ⅱ) - Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. (Ⅲ) - Et præparavit Dominus piscem grandem ut deglutiret Jonam : et erat Jonas in ventre piscis tribus diebus et tribus noctibus. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃2 וימן יהוה דג גדול לבלע את יונה ויהי יונה במעי הדג שלשה ימים ושלשה לילות (Ⅴ)
