3. 1  
And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
- Je dis: Écoutez, chefs de Jacob, Et princes de la maison d'Israël! N'est-ce pas à vous à connaître la justice? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐρει̃ ἀκούσατε δὴ ταυ̃τα αἱ ἀρχαὶ οἴκου Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι οἴκου Ισραηλ οὐχ ὑμι̃ν ἐστιν του̃ γνω̃ναι τὸ κρίμα (Ⅲ)
- Et dixi : Audite, princeps Jacob,/ et duces domus Israël :/ numquid non vestrum est scire judicium,/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃3   ואמר שמעו נא ראשי יעקב וקציני בית ישראל הלוא לכם לדעת את המשפט ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 2  
Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
- Vous haïssez le bien et vous aimez le mal; Vous leur arrachez la peau et la chair de dessus les os. (Ⅱ)
- οἱ μισου̃ντες τὰ καλὰ καὶ ζητου̃ντες τὰ πονηρά ἁρπάζοντες τὰ δέρματα αὐτω̃ν ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὰς σάρκας αὐτω̃ν ἀπὸ τω̃ν ὀστέων αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- qui odio habetis bonum, et diligitis malum ;/ qui violenter tollitis pelles eorum desuper eis,/ et carnem eorum desuper ossibus eorum ;/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃3   שנאי טוב ואהבי *רעה **רע גזלי עורם מעליהם ושארם מעל עצמותם ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 3  
Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
- Ils dévorent la chair de mon peuple, Lui arrachent la peau, Et lui brisent les os; Ils le mettent en pièces comme ce qu'on cuit dans un pot, Comme de la viande dans une chaudière. (Ⅱ)
- ὃν τρόπον κατέφαγον τὰς σάρκας του̃ λαου̃ μου καὶ τὰ δέρματα αὐτω̃ν ἀπὸ τω̃ν ὀστέων αὐτω̃ν ἐξέδειραν καὶ τὰ ὀστέα αὐτω̃ν συνέθλασαν καὶ ἐμέλισαν ὡς σάρκας εἰς λέβητα καὶ ὡς κρέα εἰς χύτραν (Ⅲ)
- qui comederunt carnem populi mei,/ et pellem eorum desuper excoriaverunt,/ et ossa eorum confregerunt,/ et conciderunt sicut in lebete,/ et quasi carnem in medio ollæ ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃3   ואשר אכלו שאר עמי ועורם מעליהם הפשיטו ואת עצמתיהם פצחו ופרשו כאשר בסיר וכבשר בתוך קלחת ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 4  
Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
- Alors ils crieront vers l'Éternel, Mais il ne leur répondra pas; Il leur cachera sa face en ce temps-là, Parce qu'ils ont fait de mauvaises actions. (Ⅱ)
- οὕτως κεκράξονται πρὸς κύριον καὶ οὐκ εἰσακούσεται αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἀποστρέψει τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἐπονηρεύσαντο ἐν τοι̃ς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν αὐτω̃ν ἐπ' αὐτούς (Ⅲ)
- Tunc clamabunt ad Dominum, et non exaudiet eos,/ et abscondet faciem suam ab eis in tempore illo,/ sicut nequiter egerunt in adinventionibus suis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃3   אז יזעקו אל יהוה ולא יענה אותם ויסתר פניו מהם בעת ההיא כאשר הרעו מעלליהם פ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 5  
Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel sur les prophètes qui égarent mon peuple, Qui annoncent la paix si leurs dents ont quelque chose à mordre, Et qui publient la guerre si on ne leur met rien dans la bouche: (Ⅱ)
- τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ τοὺς προφήτας τοὺς πλανω̃ντας τὸν λαόν μου τοὺς δάκνοντας ἐν τοι̃ς ὀδου̃σιν αὐτω̃ν καὶ κηρύσσοντας ἐπ' αὐτὸν εἰρήνην καὶ οὐκ ἐδόθη εἰς τὸ στόμα αὐτω̃ν ἤγειραν ἐπ' αὐτὸν πόλεμον (Ⅲ)
- Hæc dicit Dominus super prophetas,/ qui seducunt populum meum :/ qui mordent dentibus suis,/ et prædicant pacem ;/ et si quis non dederit in ore eorum quippiam,/ sanctificant super eum prælium./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃3   כה אמר יהוה על הנביאים המתעים את עמי הנשכים בשניהם וקראו שלום ואשר לא יתן על פיהם וקדשו עליו מלחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 6  
Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
- A cause de cela, vous aurez la nuit..., et plus de visions! Vous aurez les ténèbres..., et plus d'oracles! Le soleil se couchera sur ces prophètes, Le jour s'obscurcira sur eux. (Ⅱ)
- διὰ του̃το νὺξ ὑμι̃ν ἔσται ἐξ ὁράσεως καὶ σκοτία ὑμι̃ν ἔσται ἐκ μαντείας καὶ δύσεται ὁ ἥλιος ἐπὶ τοὺς προφήτας καὶ συσκοτάσει ἐπ' αὐτοὺς ἡ ἡμέρα (Ⅲ)
- Propterea nox vobis pro visione erit,/ et tenebræ vobis pro divinatione ;/ et occumbet sol super prophetas,/ et obtenebrabitur super eos dies./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃3   לכן לילה לכם מחזון וחשכה לכם מקסם ובאה השמש על הנביאים וקדר עליהם היום ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 7  
Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
- Les voyants seront confus, les devins rougiront, Tous se couvriront la barbe; Car Dieu ne répondra pas. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ καταισχυνθήσονται οἱ ὁρω̃ντες τὰ ἐνύπνια καὶ καταγελασθήσονται οἱ μάντεις καὶ καταλαλήσουσιν κατ' αὐτω̃ν πάντες αὐτοί διότι οὐκ ἔσται ὁ εἰσακούων αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Et confundentur qui vident visiones,/ et confundentur divini ;/ et operient omnes vultos suos,/ quia non est responsum Dei./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃3   ובשו‪[C]‬ החזים וחפרו הקסמים ועטו על שפם כלם כי אין מענה אלהים ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 8  
But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
- Mais moi, je suis rempli de force, de l'esprit de l'Éternel, Je suis rempli de justice et de vigueur, Pour faire connaître à Jacob son crime, Et à Israël son péché. (Ⅱ)
- ἐὰν μὴ ἐγὼ ἐμπλήσω ἰσχὺν ἐν πνεύματι κυρίου καὶ κρίματος καὶ δυναστείας του̃ ἀπαγγει̃λαι τω̨̃ Ιακωβ ἀσεβείας αὐτου̃ καὶ τω̨̃ Ισραηλ ἁμαρτίας αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Verumtamen ego repletus sum fortitudine spiritus Domini,/ judicio, et virtute,/ ut annuntiem Jacob scelus suum,/ et Israël peccatum suum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃3   ואולם אנכי מלאתי כח את רוח יהוה ומשפט וגבורה להגיד ליעקב פשעו ולישראל חטאתו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 9  
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
- Écoutez donc ceci, chefs de la maison de Jacob, Et princes de la maison d'Israël, Vous qui avez en horreur la justice, Et qui pervertissez tout ce qui est droit, (Ⅱ)
- ἀκούσατε δὴ ταυ̃τα οἱ ἡγούμενοι οἴκου Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι οἴκου Ισραηλ οἱ βδελυσσόμενοι κρίμα καὶ πάντα τὰ ὀρθὰ διαστρέφοντες (Ⅲ)
- Audite hoc, principes domus Jacob,/ et judices domus Israël,/ qui abominamini judicium,/ et omnia recta pervertitis :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃3   שמעו נא זאת ראשי בית יעקב וקציני בית ישראל המתעבים משפט ואת כל הישרה יעקשו ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 10  
They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
- Vous qui bâtissez Sion avec le sang, Et Jérusalem avec l'iniquité! (Ⅱ)
- οἱ οἰκοδομου̃ντες Σιων ἐν αἵμασιν καὶ Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ἀδικίαις (Ⅲ)
- qui ædificatis Sion in sanguinibus,/ et Jerusalem in iniquitate./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃3   בנה ציון בדמים וירושלם בעולה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 11  
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
- Ses chefs jugent pour des présents, Ses sacrificateurs enseignent pour un salaire, Et ses prophètes prédisent pour de l'argent; Et ils osent s'appuyer sur l'Éternel, ils disent: L'Éternel n'est-il pas au milieu de nous? Le malheur ne nous atteindra pas. (Ⅱ)
- οἱ ἡγούμενοι αὐτη̃ς μετὰ δώρων ἔκρινον καὶ οἱ ἱερει̃ς αὐτη̃ς μετὰ μισθου̃ ἀπεκρίνοντο καὶ οἱ προφη̃ται αὐτη̃ς μετὰ ἀργυρίου ἐμαντεύοντο καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἐπανεπαύοντο λέγοντες οὐχὶ κύριος ἐν ἡμι̃ν ἐστιν οὐ μὴ ἐπέλθη̨ ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς κακά (Ⅲ)
- Principes ejus in muneribus judicabant,/ et sacerdotes ejus in mercede docebant,/ et prophetæ ejus in pecunia divinabant :/ et super Dominum requiescebant, dicentes :/ Numquid non Dominus in medio nostrum ?/ non venient super nos mala./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃3   ראשיה בשחד ישפטו וכהניה במחיר יורו ונביאיה בכסף יקסמו ועל יהוה ישענו לאמר הלוא יהוה בקרבנו לא תבוא עלינו רעה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 12  
Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
- C'est pourquoi, à cause de vous, Sion sera labourée comme un champ, Jérusalem deviendra un monceau de pierres, Et la montagne du temple une sommité couverte de bois. (Ⅱ)
- διὰ του̃το δι' ὑμα̃ς Σιων ὡς ἀγρὸς ἀροτριαθήσεται καὶ Ιερουσαλημ ὡς ὀπωροφυλάκιον ἔσται καὶ τὸ ὄρος του̃ οἴκου ὡς ἄλσος δρυμου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Propter hoc, causa vestri, Sion quasi ager arabitur,/ et Jerusalem quasi acervus lapidum erit,/ et mons templi in excelsa silvarum.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃3   לכן בגללכם ציון שדה תחרש וירושלם עיין תהיה והר הבית לבמות יער פ‬ (Ⅴ)
